Another Alleged Child Molester Arrested in Little Milwaukie, Oregon

MILWAUKIE, Oregon (KOIN 6) — A 40-year-old man is being held in Clackamas County Jail on $500,000 bail for 19 counts related to child sex abuse.

Police said Little John Patrick Marcus faces 19 counts related to use of a child in sex display, online sexual corruption of a minor, encouraging child sex abuse luring a minor and failure to register as a sex offender.

An investigation into Marcus began back in November 2013, according to police.

The Clackamas County District Attorney’s office issued warrants for Marcus and he was arrested in the State of Florida on July 23 and extradited back to Oregon. Clackamas County includes southeast Portland and extends south and east from there.

Milwaukie detectives said they were able to identify several victims using computer forensics. Milwaukie is a city of about 20,000 just a little south of Portland. Milwaukie was the setting where another alleged pervert, Jason James Karston was arrested in May for sexually abusing 12 year old girls.

Due to the ongoing investigation and the victims being juveniles, names and locations of the victims were not released.

Police said they are concerned there may be other victims in the Milwaukie and Portland/Metro areas and possibly statewide as Marcus drove trucks for a living.
