Mullah Yasin was not acting according to Islamic law, which does not require a woman to marry a man simply because he wants to marry her. However, the commodification of women under Islamic law leads to the idea that a woman is being intolerably and inexcusably impertinent if she doesn’t submit to anything she is directed to do.

The Taliban’s senior vice and virtue agent, Mullah Yasin killed a teenage girl for refusing a forced marriage proposal in the Sholgara District of Balkh province, Hasht-e-Subh reports on November 7.
Asif Waziri, the spokesman of the Taliban police in Balkh province confirmed this incident, emphasizing that Mullah Yasin was arrested by Taliban forces. But according to sources Mullah Yasin was released after spending a short time in the alleged Taliban custody in Sholgara District.
The ironic thing here is that the girl will probably end up in Heaven and the Mullah in Hell. IMHO. God's definition of virtue may be very different than the vice and virtue police of Islam.
