Moniteau County man arrested on suspicion of child sex abuse
A California, Missouri, man was arrested Tuesday for child sex abuse crimes in Moniteau County, according to a social media post from the California Police Department.
Callon D. Kersey is accused of felony statutory sodomy involving a person less than 12 years old.
According to court documents, Kersey was arrested in connection to an incident that happened between Jan. 1 and July 21.
The California Police Department said ChildSafe in Sedalia assisted with the investigation.
Kersey is being held in the Moniteau County Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond, according to court documents.
If Kersey bonds out of jail, he would be placed on house arrest and be subject to drug testing, according to a bond order filed on Thursday.
Bronx man charged with sexually abusing 6 youths over 8 years, police say
THE BRONX (WABC) -- A Bronx man is facing dozens of charges after police say he sexually abused six young people, most of them minors, over an eight-year period.
Police arrested 42-year-old Stephen Charles on Friday for the alleged crimes that occurred between Jan. 2018 and May 2026.
According to investigators, the victims included five boys and one girl ranging in age from 10 to 18. Police said the alleged abuse took place in several Bronx neighborhoods.
Charles is charged with five counts of predatory sexual assault against a child, six counts of rape, three counts of course of sexual conduct against a child, one count of criminal sexual act, six counts each of use of a child in a sexual performance, promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child, seven counts of sexual abuse and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The arrest comes a day after the NYPD released Charles' photo and asked the public for help locating him as part of the investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers hotline.
Docs: New Castle teen began CSAM collection at 13, found with 1,400+ files
HENRY COUNTY, Ind. — Following several cyber tips from multiple platforms, a New Castle teen reportedly admitted to law enforcement that he had accumulated more than 1,400 child sex abuse material files since he first started building his collection at 13.
According to court documents, 18-year-old Carter Wooten was charged in Henry County with:
- 11 counts of possession of child sex abuse material, each a Level 5 felony
- Two counts of possession of child sex abuse material, each a Level 6 felony.
In June 2025, law enforcement was sent a cyber tip from Snapchat involving the alleged possession and distribution of CSAM files on the platform. A user with the name “nate_mcfly” reportedly uploaded a video of a female child performing sexually explicit conduct. The IP address from the account was linked to a New Castle home.
The IP address from the Instagram account was also linked to a home in New Castle. As the investigation continued, the documents stated that law enforcement officials linked the two accounts to a single user, a man who police allege is Wooten.
As time passed, as well as the submission of multiple cyber tips, officials stated that Wooten reportedly used multiple online platforms to exchange sexually explicit content involving minors. The documents stated that a phone number associated with multiple online accounts was linked to Wooten.
In April 2026, law enforcement officials conducted a search of Wooten’s home. In his room, the court documents stated that officials found several sex toys, as well as multiple electronic devices and consoles.
During an interview with Wooten, the documents state that he reportedly admitted to having a “large” CSAM collection, including more than 1,000 sexual images/videos involving underage individuals, some as young as 3 years old.
Wooten reportedly stated that he began his collection at age 13 and had several files on his cell phone in a hidden folder. The documents said that Wooten admitted to requesting and sharing CSAM files on multiple occasions on several platforms, including Tinder, Telegram and Duet.
During the interview, Wooten reportedly explained that “he had been seeking and accessing this type of material for so long and amassed such a large amount, it was hard to remember who or where he got it from.”
Wooten stated he texted multiple females, including individuals over the age of 18 as well as minors. The documents said that Wooten told law enforcement he would hide and save the photos shared to him of the minors and would delete the files of the women who were over 18.
The documents said that Wooten told law enforcement during the interview that “the reason for this was because he could access adult pornographic content any time he wanted to because it was legal and there was no risk.”
In a search of Wooten’s phone, officials found that he had 1,417 saved videos and photos, at least 300 of which depicted minors in sexually explicit conduct. The documents said that law enforcement also found multiple files depicting juveniles and bestiality.
A search of Wooten’s computer also found that he had allegedly searched many terms, including:
- Roblox sex
- Young telegram porn channels
- Can I sexting a minor if I’m a minor to.
During an initial hearing earlier this month, Wooten pleaded not guilty to the charges. Wooten’s bond was set at $92,500 surety and $8,950 cash.
Wooten’s pretrial conference was scheduled for Oct. 22 in Henry County, and his jury trial is scheduled to begin on Nov. 23.
Loudoun judge imposes two life sentences in child sexual abuse case
LEESBURG, Va. (7News) — A Loudoun County judge sentenced a Middleburg man to two life sentences plus 20 years in prison after he was convicted of sexually abusing a child younger than 13, the Loudoun County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office announced.

The judge imposed the statutory maximum sentence of two life terms plus 20 years in the Virginia Department of Corrections.
Guillen was found guilty on Jan. 16, 2026, following a five-day jury trial. Senior Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Amelia Flynn and Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Andrew Braman prosecuted the case.
According to prosecutors, Virginia State Police received a report from the victim's mother in March 2025 alleging that her daughter had been sexually assaulted. Investigators determined that Guillen sexually abused the girl, who was younger than 13 at the time. Authorities said Guillen and the victim knew each other.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and her family, and we hope this outcome will aid in their healing. These types of crimes are reprehensible, and those who commit such acts have no place in our community," Commonwealth's Attorney Bob Anderson said in a statement.
During the sentencing hearing, Flynn argued that the statutory maximum sentence was warranted because of the severity of the offenses and their impact on the victim and her family.

Before imposing the sentence, Sincavage said the victim impact statements demonstrated "the significant negative impacts on [the victim and her mother] the horrible impacts of these types of crimes. In our society, adults protect children."
