He didn’t want to “face the shame of introducing her to his strict Muslim family.” They would likely not have objected if he had married her, as the Qur’an allows Muslim men to marry women from the “people of the book,” that is, primarily Jews and Christians: “This day, good things are made lawful for you. The food of those who have received the book is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. And so are the virtuous women of the believers and the virtuous women of those who received the book before you when you give them their marriage portions and live with them in honor, not in fornication, nor taking them as secret lovers. Whoever denies the faith, his work is vain, and he will be among the losers in the hereafter.” (Qur’an 5:5)
See it? “Not in fornication, nor taking them as secret lovers.” That’s exactly the situation Saga Forsgren Elneborg was in, and so Mohamedamin Abdirisek Ibrahim couldn’t possibly introduce her to his family, particularly given the fact that her pregnancy would leave no doubt as to their fornication and status as secret lovers. So what was he to do with the evidence of his transgression? In his mind, she had to be killed.
Muslims commit 91 percent of honor killings worldwide. The Palestinian Authority gives pardons or suspended sentences for honor murders. Iraqi women have asked for tougher sentences for Islamic honor murderers, who get off lightly now. Syria in 2009 scrapped a law limiting the length of sentences for honor killings, but “the new law says a man can still benefit from extenuating circumstances in crimes of passion or honour ‘provided he serves a prison term of no less than two years in the case of killing.’” And in 2003 the Jordanian Parliament voted down on Islamic grounds a provision designed to stiffen penalties for honor killings. Al-Jazeera reported that “Islamists and conservatives said the laws violated religious traditions and would destroy families and values.”

A Somalian refugee has been charged with murder for allegedly killing his seven-months-pregnant Swedish girlfriend rather than face the shame of introducing her to his strict Muslim family.
Mohamedamin Abdirisek Ibrahim, 22, is charged in the alleged honor killing of 20-year-old Saga Forsgren Elneborg inside her home in Örebro, a city two hours from the capital, Stockholm, in April 2023, UK news outlet LBC reported, citing Swedish media.
He killed his girlfriend “by suffocating and strangling her by means of pressure on her neck with an impact on the trachea and the blood supply to the head,” prosecutor Elizabeth Anderson alleged in a statement.
“I mean that the murder took place in an honor context because the man wanted to preserve or restore his and his family’s honor by killing the woman who was carrying his child,” she added….
Text messages between the couple revealed that Ibrahim told Elneborg shortly before her death that he would tell his family about her pregnancy — but he indicated he was nervous, local outlet Afton Bladet reported….
Anderson said the investigation found no evidence that Ibrahim had told his family anything at all about his expectant girlfriend, who had planned to move in with him a week later.
It also emerged that Ibrahim had previously suggested to Elneborg that she get an abortion.
“I know we can make it, but I won’t be able to keep my family. If it had been possible, there would have been no problem with keeping the child,” he wrote her when they learned she was pregnant, according to Afton Bladet.
Elneborg sent her last message to him shortly after midnight on April 29, according to the outlet.
“Baby, talk to me,” she wrote.
Shortly after that, he allegedly went to her home and strangled her, the prosecutor alleged.
Her unborn baby boy also was killed in the attack, officials said….
There is no evidence to suggest that Ibrahim had anything to do with the crime, Anderson said.
What? Seriously? He murdered the baby's mother, that should mean he murdered the child as well. How can it possibly be otherwise?
“He never told his family about Saga or the child. But the suspect has been raised in a standard of honor, and he has learned that it is not OK for him to date a white woman,” she wrote.
“He must date a woman of the same culture. If he doesn’t, he will be excluded,” the prosecutor added.
The suspect has denied any wrongdoing and told investigators that he still loved his late girlfriend….
Well, as he spends the next several years in jail, he can take solace that he is included in his family while he destroyed his real family. That's an insane version of honour.

A 13-year-old French schoolgirl was so severely beaten up by a gang of other teens she had to be placed in an induced coma.
Two days after the attack, on April 4 her mother said there was a religious motive behind the vicious assault and that her daughter Samara was targeted because she dressed in a “European style”.
The 13-year-old was set upon in front of her school on April 2 in Montpellier. The gang was said to have numbered 20 to 25 individuals.
Samara had to be put in an induced coma as a result of the brutal assault, from which she awoke a day later. Her mother Hassiba said her daughter does not remember the beating….
Samara’s mother told a local newspaper that 20 to 25 teenagers, all minors it seemed, were waiting for her daughter before rushing her, beating her, throwing her to the ground and violently kicking her….
The gang seemed to have been led by three youngsters. The Montpellier prosecutor’s office took those three into custody on April 3 on charges of attempted murder of a minor under the age of 15.
One of the three, the alleged ringleader was a 14-year-old girl from the same school as Samara who has allegedly admitted attacking her.
The two others are aged 14 and 15, said Fabrice Bélargent, the Montpellier court prosecutor. One of the minors arrested was apparently known to the justice services.
Talking on the radio station Europe 1, Hassiba said the 14-year-old alleged ringleader was one of her daughter’s classmates who “had been making her miserable for a year and a half, two years”.
She said the student who bullied Samara was expelled from the school for two days in June last year after using social media to call for Samara to be raped, which Hassiba reported to the school authorities.
Two days? Wow! That'll teach her, I'm sure. Well, I think, maybe. Or not.
“It was this student who called for a gathering in front of the school, with the group of young boys waiting for my daughter. And from there, it was an onslaught of blows. They destroyed her,” the victim’s mother claimed.
Hassiba said the bully wears a veil, while her daughter likes to “wear a little make-up”.
“She [the attacker] called her a ‘kouffar’, which means infidel or disbeliever in Arabic. My daughter dresses in a European way.
“All day long, it was insults, she was called a ‘kahba’, which means slut in Arabic. It was no longer physically and psychologically bearable,” Hassiba told the station….
In a reaction to the attack on Samara, Collective Némésis, a nationalist feminist organisation, claimed that, contrary to what is often stated, it is not “Islamophobia” that is putting women in danger, but “Francophobia”….
Which means integration. Which is simply not on in France although the government is too stupid to see that.
