It's estimated that there are 7,000 Yazidi women and girls held as prisoners by IS, waiting to be sold to IS fighters as slave/wives. But it appears that while they wait they are subject to frequent rapes. So much so that Kurdish fighters get texts from the prisoners asking them to bomb the prisons and end their suffering. Islam!
Ansha is a nineteen year old girl with a 20 month old baby. She was forced to watch as IS pushed her husband and his father to the ground and shot them. Then, she was forced to marry one of the shooters.
Ansha was forced to convert to Islam or her son would have been killed. After 3 weeks Ansha and her son escaped through a bathroom window and somehow made it back to the Kurdish side.
Another girl, just 15 years old shot her first husband but was captured trying to escape. She was sold to a Saudi fighter for $1000 and forced to marry again. One day, she found a stash of narcotics and spiked the tea of her husband and other fighters. After they all passed out, she escaped again, this time making it back to freedom.
