Claims of child sex abuse by prominent Tory must be investigated
OPINION Voice of the Mirror
A gang leader broke into a bank vault and is alleged to have discovered evidence of a Cabinet Minister sexually abusing children
Metropolitan Police/PA Heist mastermind: Brian 'The Guv'nor' Reader |
Especially the allegation that the pictures were deliberately left for the police to discover and – as now claimed – the lead wasn’t followed up, to protect the Cabinet Minister.
The Hatton Garden heist netted jewels, cash and precious metals worth more than €18million, stolen from London’s Hatton Garden safe deposit company in April last year. The photos appear to have been found in a previous robbery several years ago.
Scotland Yard has a duty to question Brian “The Guv’nor” Reader and reopen the files in an attempt to get to the bottom of this murky business after a new informant confirmed what the Daily Mirror first heard eight years ago.
We (The Mirror) will also make our evidence available to the Goddard inquiry into child sex abuse but will not name the now deceased senior politician until the pictures can be verified further.
It’s clear the Establishment protected its own in cases including the revolting Cyril Smith, a Liberal paedophile who preyed on young boys in care, so no stone should be left unturned.
Disgusting pervert, Cyril Smith |
But victims, survivors and the public are entitled to expect all allegations are investigated.
It’s no use shutting the safe door – after the truth has vaulted.
