A former radio executive allegedly flew to the Philippines to have sex with a 13-year-old girl and sent graphic messages about sex acts he wanted performed, a court has heard.
Mark Page, 63, of Ingleby Barwick, Teesside, denies five counts of arranging the commission of a child sex offence.
Three of the offences were said to have occurred in 2016 on webcams, when he was in the UK and the children were in the Philippines, Teesside Crown Court was told.
The remaining two offences were said to have happened in person after Page, who was also a DJ, travelled to the Philippines.
On the second day of his trial on Tuesday, the court heard that Page visited the Philippines in October 2019.
It is alleged that Page was an active member on the dating site FilipinoCupid.com - where he is said to have shaved 9 years off his real age - claiming to be 52 back in 2019.
Prosecutor Jo Kidd told the jury he set up a Facebook profile in the name of ‘Thai G’ and used it to contact a 13-year-old girl whilst in the Philippines in March 2019, before promising her 1,000 pesos.
The prosecution claimed Page was trying to arrange to meet a girl in a shopping centre during his 2019 trip and is said to have messaged a girl ‘How old is she? She come alone’ before agreeing to send 1,000 pesos via Western Union.
Page was also accused of trying to meet a 13-year-old girl and a boy, whilst he was staying at the Prince Plaza II Condotel in the city of Makati.
The court heard that Page sent graphic messages about sex acts he wanted the school children to perform.

Several hours later, the prosecution said that after Page met a girl he texted ‘Thanks babe’ before transferring 2,000 pesos.
Other alleged chats involved a Filipino woman asking for money for ‘tuition fees’ and other users requesting ‘a load’ - which is said to mean sending credit for a mobile phone.
Page is alleged to have used his Skype account from his former Ingleby Barwick home to carry out explicit video calls with children online.
He is alleged to have asked a 14-year-old girl to carry out sex acts on a 12-year old, but the prosecution say the older girl refused.
In another chat, Page is accused of sending 1,500 Pesos to a girl after she allegedly performed sex acts over a webcam before messaging: 'I hope to visit you late October babe, and will you bring her to babe?'
The court heard further evidence from PC Stephen Rookes, who told the court that Page had left his computer on and his cloud account signed in, when he and his colleagues raided his home in January last year.
Police investigator Paul Ripley also took to the witness stand and talked about the different personas Page is alleged to have used online, including ‘Pete124’ and ‘Pancho’ and ‘Garrison1287’.
But Page’s defence barrister Trevor Burke QC told the court that his client’s dating profile stated that he wanted to meet a single woman, who did not have children and was between the ages of 25 and 34.
Mr Burke said that users of the Filipino cupid site have to be over 18; as does anyone collecting money from a Western Union account.
Page sat at the back of the court listening to the evidence throughout the day and denied all allegations.
The court heard that he has been divorced since 2007 and has cared for his three children since then.
The trial, expected to continue till the end of the week, continues.
Former top-flight footballer ‘abused by paedophile
Gordon Neely’ in Rangers dressing room

A FORMER top flight footballer has claimed they were abused by prolific paedophile Gordon Neely in the Rangers dressing room.
The ex-Gers starlet alleged he was indecently assaulted by the depraved monster on a number of occasions in the late 1980s.
Neely was unmasked as a warped beast in a report into sexual abuse within football which had been commissioned by the SFA. It was found he abused at least three other youngsters at Rangers - and also sexually attacked footie hopefuls at Hibernian and Hutchison Vale.
Speaking to The Times, the youngster said he was scared he would be let go by Rangers if he spoke out about being assaulted by the Ibrox club’s head of youth development.
The player said: “Neely abused me five or six times in the manager’s dressing room at Ibrox.
“I’d dreamed of playing for Rangers since I was a child and was scared I’d be let go if I told anyone, so I said nothing. “I was a Rangers fan growing up and I didn’t want to stop playing. I was confused and didn’t know what was going on.”
The starlet alleges Neely accused him of drinking at the weekend when he was 15 - before saying he could either accept a punishment or lose his place in the team.
He claims Neely then pulled down his underwear and spanked him. The footie hopeful said he was abused again on a number of occasions.
He said: “One time, in particular, really sticks in my mind. I was injured and Neely asked me to come in. It sounds odd now but I remember feeling really important because I was getting to go into the stadium during the day.
“The abuse took place in the office that was usually used by the manager. I can remember it like it was yesterday.”
The starlet later left the Ibrox club - and gave his full account to police two years ago.
Cops told him that Neely had died from cancer in 2014, aged 62.
In 2018 a victim of the beast was told he should take his complaint to the club's liquidators - as lawyers told him that Rangers were owned by a different company from when the abuse took place.
But Neely's latest alleged victim said: "Rangers can’t hide from the fact that the abuse took place at Ibrox."
Ibrox is the stadium where the Rangers FC play.
The SFA's review said they were "unable to establish" if coach Neely was ever reported to police during his time at the club.
It was found that senior managers were made aware of allegations against the beast, and took them seriously.
An ex-Rangers starlet who reported being plied with booze and pinned down on a bed by Ibrox scout Harry Dunn in 1984 said the club should compensate abuse victims.
He said: "I think Rangers should apologise. The top English teams have — why can’t they do it?
“They employed these guys and should take more responsibility. People knew about Harry Dunn, so why was he allowed around football?”
Rangers FC has been contacted for comment.
Rape charges against Gerard Depardieu upheld
The French actor’s request to dismiss the charges has been denied by a Paris court
A Paris court has denied a request to drop charges against the renowned French actor Gerard Depardieu, 73, who was placed under investigation in 2020 after a young actress accused him of having raped and sexually assaulted her three years prior.
Chief Prosecutor Remy Heitz said there was “serious and confirmed evidence that justifies Gerard Depardieu to remain charged” in the case filed by actress Charlotte Arnould.
Arnould filed the complaint against Depardieu in the summer of 2018, when she was 22 years old, claiming she had twice been raped at the actor’s mansion in Paris.
The actor was charged in December 2020 and placed under judicial supervision, avoiding jail. He has repeatedly dismissed the charges against him as baseless and demanded they be dropped.
Depardieu is one of France’s most iconic movie stars, rising to prominence in the 1980s with roles in films such as ‘The Last Metro’, ‘Green Card’, and ‘Cyrano de Bergerac’. In 2013, he took up Russian citizenship and now numbers Russian President Vladimir Putin among his friends.
The actor recently denounced the Russian military operation in Ukraine and called for peaceful negotiations, saying: “I am against this fratricidal war. I say, ‘Stop the weapons and negotiate.’”
