|Saskatchewan Provincial Court, Regina|
The women, both from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada were charged in 2013.
Their names can not be reported due to a publication ban. They are aged 57 and 39 and are related as mother and daughter.
The judge granted credit for time already served, meaning one of the women has four years and eight months remaining on her sentence. The other has four years and two months left to serve.
Court had previously learned that victims were two girls, ages 11 and 12 at the time of the offences which took place in a home in Regina.
Originally, the women were facing dozens of charges, but they later pleaded guilty to a smaller number, including sexual assault with a weapon, producing child pornography, assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.
A potato, a cucumber and a hammer were the weapons used in the sexual assault, court heard.
Other household items, including an extension cord and a frying pan, were used in physical assaults.
What sick, degenerate people. They should never be allowed free in society again.
