Jeffrey Epstein found ‘injured & semiconscious’ with suspicious marks on neck in jail cell

Millionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has been found “injured and in a fetal position” in his New York jail cell with marks around his neck, leading to speculation that he’d been attacked or injured himself to get transferred.

While authorities have questioned another inmate over the situation – a former cop locked up for allegedly killing four men in a drug conspiracy – multiple sources have rushed to the media claiming Epstein tried to hang himself, while another source claims he staged the injury to get transferred to another facility. He is currently on suicide watch, according to two sources.

Former Westchester police officer Nicholas Tartaglione, who was charged with killing four men over a drug deal gone bad and burying them in his backyard, claims he never touched Epstein and didn’t see what happened, according to his lawyer. "They are in the same unit and doing well," and have even found common ground in complaining about flooding, rodents, and bad food in the jail, he said.

Given the amount of blackmail information Epstein reportedly has on extremely powerful people, speculation that one of them might want to get him out of the picture has been simmering on social media since his arrest, only to erupt in the wake of this latest report. “Organized criminals have long arms,” one user tweeted. “If he dies, I'm going to have to ask, what wealthy individual(s) had him killed or did he really commit suicide?” another wondered. Others took issue with the theory, suggesting that if someone wanted Epstein dead, it would have happened already.

Following Epstein’s arrest on conspiracy and sex trafficking charges earlier this month, additional victims have reportedly come forward. The mysterious magnate all but skated on similar charges over a decade ago, pleading to a lesser charge of soliciting prostitution and serving just 13 months in a sweetheart deal that permitted him to leave prison during the day.

Epstein was allowed out of his jail cell to go to his office for 12 hours every day. Apparently, according to The Daily Mail, he was not monitored there:

At least one woman claims she was summoned to Epstein's office for a sexual encounter while he was in prison
Miami Herald reporter Julie Brown said that a deputy with the PBSCO (Palm Beach Co. Sherrif's Office) told her they did not monitor Epstein's office during work release
When asked if they ever supervised Epstein in his office or checked on his guests, the deputy said: 'No, that was not our job'

Senator Lauren Book, who demands an investigation into the treatment of Epstein, has been threatened many times.

Alexander Acosta, the prosecuting attorney on that case, resigned as Secretary of Labor two weeks ago over his handling of the deal, though he claimed in interviews with the Trump transition team he had been told to “back off” because Epstein “belonged to intelligence.”

Epstein faces 45 years in prison if convicted. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Epstein was denied bail last week after authorities learned he had a fake Saudi passport and wads of cash secreted in a safe inside his home. Judge Richard Berman also pointed to danger to the community and Epstein’s alleged history of intimidating witnesses in his decision to keep the financier in jail. Epstein’s lawyers have appealed, seeking to have him released on house arrest with electronic monitoring.

Audrina Patridge's ex-husband Corey Bohan claims The Hills' star has falsely accused him of sexually abusing their 3 y/o daughter to get sole custody

By EMILY CRANE FOR DAILYMAIL.COM

Audrina Patridge's ex-husband has claimed that the reality TV star falsely accused him of sexually abusing their daughter in a bid to get sole custody of her.

Corey Bohan, 37, has alleged that Partridge, 34, lied about the sexual abuse claims so she could exploit their three-year-old daughter Kirra and have her appear on The Hills: New Beginnings.

In court documents filed on Monday and obtained by The Blast, Bohan claims that Patridge or someone from her family have been coaching the toddler to 'make false statements'.

'In May 2019, Audrina made false claims of child sexual abuse against me to CPS. An investigation was done and the results of the investigation were that the allegations were unfounded,' the court filing in California says.

'(She has) abused the judicial process by making false claims of abuse to obtain restraining orders to gain an advantage in these proceedings.'

It comes after Patridge filed for sole custody of their daughter and was granted a temporary restraining order against the BMX pro while the sexual abuse claims were investigated.

According to sources, Bohan is 'under investigation by officers in Costa Mesa for a recent incident' with his ex-wife and daughter. It is not clear what the incident was.

Partridge had said in her court documents that Kirra was examined by a doctor and showed signs of alleged abuse, but Bohan claims the records show nothing of the sort.

'No where (sic) in those records does it indicate that there was ever a concern about Kirra being sexually abused or that she has even undergone a child sexual abuse allegation,' he said.

'Audrina has made deplorable and false accusations against me so that she can exploit our daughter for her own financial gain by having her filmed and having her appear on reality television, specifically MTV's The Hills: New Beginnings.'

The former couple were expected to appear in court on Monday where a judge was due to make a ruling.

Bohan's recent court filing came after his ex-wife asked for sole custody of their daughter on Friday after securing a restraining order against him a week earlier.

According to her court documents, Patridge suggested that Corey had caused their daughter harm, citing the ongoing criminal and family court investigation and his plans to plead the fifth.

'Rather than participate in the investigation, I am informed and believe [Bohan] intends to invoke his 5th Amendment privilege against self-incrimination while at the same time he levels false allegations at me,' she said in the filing. She went on to say that Corey should be interviewed by Family Court Services if he is in fact innocent.

Patridge requested Kirra's custody 'unless and until it is determined he has done nothing to harm our daughter. There is substantial evidence that he has behaved inappropriately and possibly committed a crime'.

A judge put the temporary restraining order in place until another hearing later this month.

Bohan - a BMX athlete - has been ordered to stay 100 yards away from his ex-wife daughter as well as to keep his distance from their home, Kirra's school, and other key locations. His visitation rights have also been temporarily denied.

Patridge filed for divorce just ten months after marrying Bohan in 2016.

Authorities investigating whether soccer star's accuser filed false report

Brazilian police said Tuesday they've decided there are no grounds to bring rape charges against soccer star Neymar. And they're investigating whether his accuser filed a false report.

"We checked all the possibilities. I did not see enough elements to indict," Sao Paulo police investigator Juliana Lopes Bussacos said in a press conference.

Bussacos's decision could be revised by prosecutors within 15 days.

Brazilian model Najila Trindade accused the 27-year-old forward of raping her in a Paris hotel in May. He denied the accusation and said their relations were consensual.

Neymar is currently in a preseason tour of Asia with his club, Paris Saint-Germain.

Bussacos interviewed Trindade three times about her claims and she said 12 other people were also questioned. Neymar himself was questioned for about five hours in mid-June.

Police also inspected cellphones, a tablet of Trindade's son and medical reports offered by the accuser.

'Evidence led me not to indict'

The model filed her complaint in Sao Paulo on May 31, alleging Neymar raped her earlier in the month in Paris. No complaint was filed with French police. Her case has been complicated by the fact three of her attorneys withdrew from the case after the complaint was filed.

Bussacos did not detail what led her to the conclusions, because the probe is still secret.

"The whole set of evidence led me not to indict," the investigator said.

Sao Paulo police director Albano David Fernandes said the investigators will look into whether Trindade falsely reported a rape, based on Bussaco's findings.

Prosecutor Monique Lima said it would be premature to accuse Trindade of any crime.

Argentine former welterweight world boxing champion Carlos Baldomir was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the repeated sexual abuse of a child, a court announced.

The 48-year-old, who was World Boxing Council champion for 10 months in 2006, was arrested in 2016 following allegations that he had abused the girl over two years, starting when she was just seven in 2012.

He was unanimously convicted of “repeated sexual abuse” of a minor. When the trial began on Thursday, Baldomir showed his middle finger to those present, a provocative gesture recorded by television cameras.

Baldomir’s greatest career highlight came in January 2006 when he shocked the unified welterweight champion Zab Judah.

A.J. Calloway exiting news show Extra after
sex misconduct allegations

44-year-old was suspended in February after Warner Brothers
became aware of additional allegations
The Associated Press

A.J. Calloway is leaving the syndicated entertainment news show Extra in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations.

Warner Brothers issued a statement Wednesday saying the company has investigated the claims into Calloway's conduct and he and the company "have mutually agreed to part ways." The statement did not say when the agreement was made.

The company had investigated prior accusations against Calloway and found no suggestion of workplace misconduct. But the 44-year-old was suspended in February after Warner Brothers became aware of additional allegations.

At the time, Calloway's lawyer said her client vehemently denied ever assaulting anyone and looked forward to clearing his name. His lawyer has not replied to an email seeking comment.

Calloway had been with Extra since 2005.

'It took way too long'

One of Calloway's most outspoken accusers includes American activist and author Sil Lai Abrams.

The domestic abuse awareness activist penned an op-ed for The Hollywood Reporter last year detailing her allegations of experiencing sexual assault at the hands of various men in the media industry.

She alleges that she was sexually assaulted by Calloway in 2006. He was arrested after the allegations were made but those charges were dropped.

Upon Warner Brothers' announcement of Calloway's suspension, Abrams tweeted out her approval of the company's decision.

In her tweet she says, "It took way too long, but @WarnerMediaGrp FINALLY took the sexual assault and rape claims about A.J. Calloway made by me and other women seriously. Never stop fighting for what you believe in. #MeToo."

US Olympic figure skater Ashley Wagner has opened up about sexual assault trauma she says she suffered at the age of 17, stating she was abused by former teammate John Coughlin who committed suicide last winter.

The 28-year-old spoke out on Thursday detailing the assault which she says took place at a national team figure skating camp in Colorado, when Wagner was she just 17 and Coughlin was 22.

“I had never really had anything to drink before and everyone was drinking and I was a teenager and I wanted to see what it was like, so I started drinking,” Wagner told USA Today.

“The next thing I remember, I get woken up by feeling someone crawling into the bed. I was really tired. I was dead asleep. I just remember not even being that worried about it because I didn’t quite understand what was happening.”

Then the 2014 Olympic bronze medalist said that Coughlin started kissing her without consent.

“After that, I remember (Coughlin) started kissing my neck, and I remember being so surprised and shocked that I didn’t quite know what to do,” she said.

“I was absolutely paralyzed in fear and I remember feeling him shift his weight onto me, remember him putting his hands down my pants, and he was kissing my neck and I was terrified,” Wagner added.

The skater said she asked Coughlin to stop, adding that he left the room afterwards.

Last December, allegations of sexual misconduct were brought against Coughlin, a skater who represented the USA in pair skating at major international events.

SafeSport, an independent nonprofit organization which describes its goals as battling against “all forms of abuse in sport,” suspended Coughlin after it launched investigations into sexual abuse allegations brought against him.

A day after his interim suspension and one week before the US Championships, Coughlin committed suicide at the age of 33.

In May, Coughlin’s former partner Bridget Namiotka accused him of sexual assault, alleging that he had killed himself after his sexual crimes began to surface.

Danish golf star Thorbjorn Olesen has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a female passenger and drunkenly urinating in the aisle during a British Airways flight from the US to London, according to reports.

Olesen, 29, is alleged to have molested a female passenger as she slept in the first-class section of the flight from Tennessee to Heathrow, according to reports.

The Dane, who played in Europe's victorious Ryder Cup team last year, is also claimed to have hurled drunken abuse at fellow passengers and urinated in the aisle.

Police were said to have been waiting to meet Olesen when the flight landed on Monday.

British golfing star Ian Poulter was also on board, and reportedly attempted to intervene to calm the situation, although Olesen is alleged to have molested the woman while Poulter slept.

Local police confirmed a 29-year-old man was arrested at the airport on suspicion of sexual assault and drunken behavior, according to the Independent.

The Sun cited a witness as stating that Olesen “started abusing some of the passengers and crew and then made a pass at one of the female passengers before taking a leak in the aisle.’

"It was shocking behavior. You would expect it maybe on a budget airline but not in the first-class cabin on BA.’’

Olesen, the world number 62, has reportedly since been released but remains under investigation.

The Dane and British friend Poulter both appeared at the WGC-FedEx St Jude Invitational in Memphis at the weekend, where Olesen finished 27th.
