Child Rape, Sex Abuse, Porn, Trafficking, Exploitation on Today's USA Pervs n Pedos List

Islamic leader charged with child-sex crimes
involving 4 minors, Texas sheriff says
BY TYLER J. CARTER
Fort Worth Star-Telegram

Sexual violence is a social and public health problem in the U.S. The National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey says nearly 1 in 2 women and 1 in 5 men experienced sexual violence victimization other than rape at some point in their lives. BY CDC

An Islamic religious leader was arrested on Friday in Fort Bend, Texas, after he was accused of child-sex crimes, deputies said in a news release.

Mohamed Omar Ali, 59, a native of Somali, has been charged with three counts of indecency with a child and one count of sexual assault of a child, the release noted.

Fort Bend County officials opened an investigation into Ali after “allegations of Ali reportedly abusing children began in September 2019,” ABC-13 reported.

Deputies say the four victims were minors at the time of the assault, which began in 2013. Because Ali’s status as an “Imam in the Islamic community (who) teaches throughout Texas and the country,” deputies say they think more victims exist.

“This is sickening and an abuse of power,” Sheriff Troy Nehls in the release. “If your children have had contact with this man, please talk to them. Victims’ identities will be protected.”

Ali is being held in the Fort Bend County jail on $125,000 bonds, while “immigration has also placed a hold on Ali,” authorities said.

OK couple charged in alleged sexual abuse of two children
Muskogee Phoenix staff

A Muskogee man and woman face charges related to child sexual abuse after the man allegedly touched a child on her breasts and vagina, according to court documents.

Santos Ortiz, 53, was charged Friday with sexual abuse of a child under 12, while Renee Juana Buskirk, 28, was charged with enabling child sexual abuse

The charges follow a June 6 incident in which the child told a Department of Human Services interviewer that Ortiz sexually assaulted her while they and Buskirk were living in Texas between September and December 2018, according to an affidavit filed with the case. A medical exam showed results consistent with abuse, the affidavit states.

Buskirk moved the family to Muskogee after being informed of allegations against Ortiz, according to the affidavit. A later exam completed on another child also shows signs of sexual abuse, the affidavit states.

Both Ortiz and Buskirk are in custody at the Muskogee County/City Detention City on $25,000 bond each. Their next court appearance will be Jan. 17.

Decades later, NY's Riverside Church basketball sexual abuse survivor tries to find peace

Stefan Bondy NEW YORK DAILY NEWS |

The smell of Gristedes supermarket still unsettles Robert Holmes.

A whiff brings him back nearly 40 years, when, as an adolescent, he recalls being escorted into the home of his AAU basketball coach and sexually molested. For Holmes, 52, the Gristedes smell is associated with the grapes.

“He knew I had a fondness for fruits,” Holmes said in an interview with the Daily News. “We would stop at a Gristedes on the way to his house and buy all these f---ing grapes. I’m a kid, I love grapes. That was part of the prepping stage.”

The grapes were devoured as the two — a boy around 13 and a coach in his late 50s — listened to St. John’s basketball games on the radio. The Red Storm, known then by their racially insensitive nickname, were a big item in the early 80s with Chris Mullin and Walter Berry as the superstar duo. Both played youth basketball under Ernest Lorch, the legendary coach of the Riverside Hawks who also was an alleged sexual predator.

After the St. John’s game, Lorch, according to Holmes, urged his victim to take a shower by claiming all his athletes must be clean. Lorch dried Holmes with a towel, and ushered the boy into a spare room to fit a jock strap.

Sexual acts followed, according to Holmes. Then a spanking with a wooden paddle.

“When I go to Gristedes, I’m back with Lorch,” Holmes said.

Accusations against Lorch had previously been documented, though not in such detail, as part of lawsuits and articles. But there’s reason for renewed focus. In February of this year, Gov. Cuomo — while inside the Daily News office — signed into New York law the Child Victims Act. It extended the statute of limitations so sexual abuse victims in this state — including Holmes — have more time to seek criminal charges or sue their tormentors.

In 2003, Holmes sued Lorch and avoided New York’s stringent limitations because he was also allegedly paid hush money by his former coach. That stopped the clock on the statute of limitations, according to his attorney, Michael Dowd. Holmes was awarded $325,000 in a settlement. However, Riverside Church — the powerful institution based in Morningside Heights — had to be removed from the original suit.

DECATUR — A federal grand jury on Tuesday indicted a Decatur man on charges of child pornography and the sexual exploitation and enticement of a minor.

A news release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of Illinois said Daniel A. Betty, 27, had been arrested and charged in a criminal complaint first filed Dec. 16. U.S. Magistrate Judge Eric Long had ordered him to be held in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service. Betty has not yet entered a plea on the charges and an arraignment date has not been set.

A spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney, Sharon Paul, said an affidavit filed in support of the charges said Betty had met a “minor female” from Champaign on the social dating app “Spotafriend,” aimed at teens aged from 13 to 19.

“According to the affidavit, Betty allegedly portrayed himself as a 17-year-old male from Decatur,” said Paul. “Using the app, Betty allegedly began communication with the minor female and, in October 2019, Betty drove from Decatur to Champaign and met the minor. Prior to the meeting, Betty had told the minor he was 19 years old.”

Paul said the case against Betty was brought as part of a Department of Justice initiative called Project Safe Childhood, which coordinates the efforts of various law enforcement agencies to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Lehigh Acres, Fla, man sexually abused children,
trafficked girls

A Lehigh Acres man has been arrested on Monday for child sexual abuse and trafficking underage girls, authorities said.

The suspect, Jesus Francisco Santana Perez, 52, faces charges of two counts of Lewd Battery per Florida Statute 800.04 (4a1) and two counts of 787.06 (3a1) for Human Trafficking.

One of the victims said Perez got her high before taking off her clothes. The young girl tried pushing him away before he eventually had sex with her. Shortly after, Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies learned about another young girl. The suspect sexually abused her for the past year. She was forced to have sex with 10 adult men.

Further investigation into Perez by the LCSO discovered additional victims. These underaged girls the suspect was trafficking were provided with drugs, the use of his car and cash.

Dawn Shockley, who is a neighbor of the suspect, said he ruined the lives of the victims.

“I’m definitely praying for the victims,” Shockley said. “I’m still in disbelief because there was no indication.”

There are several warning signs of abuse that can alert you to a child being trafficked. These can include distrusting or sounding like they have rehearsed answers; victims may also appear withdrawn or depressed; and, they can also show signs of physical injuries or exhaustion.

LCSO Sheriff Carmine Marceno said there is a zero-tolerance policy for any abuse.

“Human trafficking is one of the most despicable offenses that we investigate,” Sheriff Marceno said.  “I’m proud of my team for acting quickly, investigating thoroughly, and removing this monster from the streets of Lee County.”

Me too. Good work.

Sherwood, Ore, piano teacher acquitted of
child sex abuse charges

Griffin was declared not guilty by Washington County Circuit Judge Oscar Garcia on Dec. 19
Author: KGW Staff

SHERWOOD, Ore. — A Sherwood piano teacher charged with sexually abusing an 8-year-old (6th story on link) girl was acquitted of all charges last month and released from custody.

Christopher M. Griffin, 29, who taught at Let's Make Music and Dance, a music academy in Sherwood, was arrested March 9 on suspicion of sexually abusing an 8-year-old female student. He was released after posting bail and then re-arrested on March 12 after he sent an email to the victim's mother, which violated the conditions of his release on bail.

Griffin, the son of Sherwood City Councilor Russell Griffin, maintained his innocence throughout as did the music school, which is operated by his mother, DeLyn Griffin. He had pleaded not guilty to 25 total counts of first-degree sodomy, unlawful sexual penetration and sexual abuse.

According to court records, the girl said the abuse began in July 2018 and lasted until February 2019, when she told police she was being abused by Griffin.

According to the Sherwood Gazette, Griffin's defense team argued successfully to remove two judges, Charles D. Bailey and Andrew R. Erwin, from hearing the case, because they "would not be fair and impartial."

A bench trial began on Dec. 10 and Griffin was declared not guilty by Washington County Circuit Judge Oscar Garcia on Dec. 19.

There must be a whole lot more to this story. I mean - 25 counts of first degree sodomy? Hopefully, it will appear before too long.
