A couple arrested for allegedly abducting and raping a 10-year-old girl, has confessed to luring minors in Karachi and taking them to remote areas in Sindh, police told local media on September 11.

The girl had gone missing from Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) earlier, before police discovered she was kidnapped.

According to the police, the arrested man, Ghulam Rasool, would allegedly rape girls after kidnapping them. He and his wife were arrested during a raid at their house in Sindh’s Dhabeji district.

Besides the 10-year-old girl, police found another girl, also abducted from the same hospital, at the couple's house during the raid, according to Pakistani media reports.

The police said the couple revealed during investigation that they would look for girls from middle- and low-income backgrounds, and especially those whose families were seen taking free medicines at the hospital.

The police said they discovered obscene videos on the arrested couples' mobile phones and also evidence of them being involved in selling girls they had abducted, according to local media reports.

Further investigations are underway.

Pakistan: Man admits to sexually abusing 15-year-old daughter with his brother and neighbour in Punjab

The Kasur victim was abused for four months before escaping to her grandfather

A man in the Punjab province of Pakistan has admitted to sexually assaulting his teenage daughter along with his brother and neighbour.

The three accused and the victim are residents of the Gunjiyan village, in the district of Kasur.

The single father named Ajmal, his brother Amjab and neighbour Arham, sexually abused his fifteen-year-old daughter for four months, he said in a recently aired news report.

Four years ago, Ajmal had separated from his wife, after which he lived with one of his four daughters.

While speaking to a media outlet, Ajmal said: “After the divorce, my wife left one daughter with me while she took the other three [children]. I don’t know what happened to me, but I started sexually abusing her four months ago, along with my brother and neighbour….”

Reportedly, Ajmal’s family knew about the abuse but did not take action against him.

After months of sexual abuse, seeing the teen’s poor condition, Ajmal’s sister intervened and took her to her home. However, that didn’t stop Ajmal from coming over and continuing to abuse his daughter.

The issue came to light after the girl got a chance to escape to her grandfather, who involved the police and a case was registered against the accused.

In a news report, Ajmal said: “If she had not escaped, we would have continued to abuse her.”

Outrage over violence against women

Two years ago the gang-rape and murder of 7-y/o Zainab Ansari horrified Kasur but didn't slow down the rape and murder of children in the area.

Recently, the rape of a woman, who stopped on a highway after her car ran out of petrol, near Gujjarpura area, in the province of Punjab, caused outrage. The issue trended across social media platforms and has also sparked country-wide protests. Several celebrities have expressed their concerns over the safety of women in the country and many participated in the protests.

However, cases of sexual abuse and violence continue to surface.

Speaking about the issue, Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan recently said that rapists should be subjected to public hangings but added that this could impact trading deals with partners that oppose the death penalty, such as the European Union.

In a television interview that aired on September 14, the premier also said that the worst sex crimes should be punishable by chemical castration.

Physical castration with an ax might have more impact!

Pakistan: Mother injured severely while saving 4-y/o daughter
from attempted gang-rape in Punjab

In a time when protests are taking place across Pakistan, condemning violence against women, three men severely injured a woman who tried to stop them from raping her four-year-old daughter in the province of Punjab. A case was registered against the culprits on September 12.

In the Mumtazabad neighbourhood, in the suburbs of the city, a minor girl was reportedly taken by the accused, identified as Salman, and his two accomplices to a field near her home, where they tried to rape her, local media reported.

According to a first information report (FIR) lodged on Saturday, in City Tandianwala Police Station, the man was caught while attempting to assault a four-year-old girl, who had gone out to buy candy from a nearby shop. The victim’s parents, along with a group of residents, had started looking for her when she did not return home.

After hearing her screams, her mother, Shumaila Bibi, reached the spot. The accused attacked her when she confronted them, leaving her severely injured. The suspects also managed to flee from the crime scene, according to local media reports.

The victim was reportedly shifted to a hospital.

Tandlianwala police have registered a case against the accused and further investigations are underway.

Commenting on the issue and sharing a news report about the incident, tweep @1972Jammy wrote: “[…] Despicable crimes but good that they are being reported and assailants will be punished.”

What kind of madness can make a man (or worse, 3 men) think that it is OK to rape a 4-y/o child? Yet, such things happen in Pakistan almost daily. Pakistan, the most devout Muslim country in the world! Someone explain that to me, please.

Pakistan: Man in Okara caught raping women's corpses

The accused identified as Ashraf was reportedly caught red-handed by local residents

Dubai: A man was arrested on February 28 after being caught red-handed raping a corpse of a woman in a graveyard in Punjab, Pakistan.

The incident occurred in Okara city in the Punjab province. The accused was identified by his first name, Ashraf.

According to The News, a Pakistan daily, Ashraf belonged to Khanpur city and had been living with his nephew, who was the caretaker for the last few years of the graveyard where the incident occurred.

The issue came to light after relatives of those buried at the graveyard noticed that the graves were freshly dug out.

On February 28, villagers caught the necrophiliac red-handed after reportedly seeing him raping a dead woman’s body after digging it out of her grave. He was handed over to the local police.

According to The News, during questioning, Ashraf confessed to police officers that he had done the same to multiple corpses. He also reportedly said that he would seek out women being buried in the graveyard.

Cases in Pakistan

This is not the first time such an incident has happened in Pakistan. In 2011, news of a man from Karachi named Muhammad Riyaz who raped more than 48 dead bodies of women shocked the country.

The accused was the caretaker of the graveyard in Karachi’s North Nazimabad Town, and responsible for watering the graves. He was caught after residents of the area complained of dug up graves.

In 2013, a 15-year-old girl’s body was found lying outside her grave in Gujranwala, and was reportedly assaulted sexually.

I didn't think it was possible to shock me anymore after several years of editing this blog. But Some Pakistani men have opened my eyes to a new level of degradation. Could there possibly be more evils yet to be uncovered in Pakistan? Dear God, I hope not!
