Actor Fatima Sana Shaikh has got two back-to-back films releasing soon. While the actor is excited about her film journey today, things were not so easy always. The actor, in her latest interview with Pinkvilla, talked about her struggles and how the biggest challenge was to survive in the sexist world since the very beginning.

Fatima revealed that she was molested when she was very young and that has made her realise how it’s a tough world for a woman and one has to fight sexism every day here. The actor, who rose to fame with her performance alongside Aamir Khan in Dangal, said, “I was molested when I was five years old. No! I was three years old. So you understand how deep sexism goes. It’s a battle we fight on an everyday basis. Every woman, every minority fights every day. And I hope our future is better.”
She added that she remembers people telling her how she doesn’t look like a certain top actor and therefore, she won’t be getting films. “I have faced people telling me that the only way to get a job is through sex. So that has also happened to me. I have lost jobs to someone else for whatever reason,” she said.
Fatima said that she can see how the industry has changed to welcome people like her who look like a common man and not like Aishwarya Rai or Deepika Padukone. The actor said that she understood the standard of the beauty the industry subscribes to but she also met people who wanted to cast actors who look average and more relatable to the audience. “… when I look back, I think, ‘fair enough’. That’s the standard of beauty they subscribe to. That one should look exactly like this or that to become a heroine. And I clearly don’t fall in that bracket, I fall into a different bracket. But there are opportunities now, there are films being made for people like me, who don’t look like supermodels, who look normal, average,” she explained.
Fatima is now gearing up for the release of Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari which is directed by Anurag Basu, and Netflix’s offering Ludo.

Johnny Depp verdict: Actor beat ex-wife Amber Heard 12 Times,
judge rules as The Sun wins libel case trial

JOHNNY Depp battered ex-wife Amber Heard 12 TIMES, a judge today ruled as the actor lost his blockbuster libel case against The Sun.
In a stunning victory for press freedom, London’s High Court ruled we were right to brand the Pirates of the Caribbean actor a "wife beater" for his brutal attacks on his ex.
Mr Justice Nicol threw out Depp’s defamation case after finding our story - which had always been staunchly backed by Ms Heard - was accurate.
The judge ruled Depp's feelings towards his wife during their turbulent three-year relationship were summed up in a text where the actor revealed he had "no mercy" for her.
He also concluded Depp beat Ms Heard 12 out of 14 times - starting in 2013 when he slapped the actress when she made a comment about his tattoo.
He dismissed two allegations made by Ms Heard in 2014 and 2015 but said he couldn't conclude she had been "untruthful" about it.
Over the course of their stormy marriage, the judge found Depp battered his wife after slipping into his "monster" persona when he binged on drink and drugs.
He left the actress "fearing for her life" in violent rampages where Ms Heard was choked, pushed to the ground and repeatedly hit.
Depp had branded the Aquaman star's allegations a "hoax" and accused her of attacking him as he gave evidence for more than 20 hours at the High Court.
The Alice in Wonderland star also tried to smear his ex-wife's reputation - even making an extraordinary false claim Ms Heard pooed in their marital bed after a fight.
But the judge today said The Sun's publishers, News Group Newspapers (NGN), had proved what was in the article to be "substantially true".
He also dismissed Depp's description of his ex-wife as a "gold-digger", saying: "I do not accept this characterisation of Ms Heard."
The 12 times Depp beat Amber:
THE judge today ruled Depp attacked his ex-wife 12 times in their relationship. These were:
In early 2013, Depp slapped and knocked Heard to the ground after she made a joke about his "Wino Forever" tattoo
In March 2013, the actor flew into a rage while high on drugs and hit Amber so hard he made her lip bleed
In June 2013, Depp attacked Amber in a trailer in Hicksville - throwing glasses at her and ripping her dress
In May 2014, the actor screams at his wife on a private jet after taking drugs and boozing before kicking her in the back or bum
In 2014, Depp grabs Amber by the hair, slaps her and pushes her to the ground on a detox trip to the Bahamas.
In January 2015, the star again attacks Amber while on drugs - this time slapping her and pushing her to the ground. He then forced her tears as he stood over her yelling.
In March 2015, Depp launches into a brutal three-day attack in Australia - leaving Heard with a broken lip, swollen nose and cuts all over her body. He trashed the house in the violent rampage and pushed Amber to the ground, choking her and spitting in her face as he made the star "fear for her her life"
In March 2015 in the couple's LA home, Depp grabbed Amber in front of her sister Whitney and repeatedly hit her
In August 2015 on the couple's honeymoon, Depp pushed Amber against a wall by grabbing her by the throat
In December 2015, Depp chucked a glass decanter at Amber at their LA home in a drug binge. He also slapped her and dragged her through the apartment by her hair - ripping a chunk out. He then hit her again in the back of the head and headbutted her in the face and screamed 'I will f***ing kill you'. Depp then pushed her face into a mattress and repeatedly punched her in the back of the head
In April 2016 at Amber's birthday party, Depp assaulted his wife after receiving 'grim news' about his finances.
In May 2016, Depp chucked a phone at Heard - injuring her eye - before pulling her hair and striking her
The judge dismissed two allegations made by Ms Heard but did not conclude she had been untruthful. These were:
In December 2014, Heard claimed Depp was "violent towards" her and later branded himself a "f***ing savage"
In November 2015, she said Depp "threw her around the room" and pushed her over a chair
Mr Justice Nicol added: "Although he has proved the necessary elements of his cause of action in libel, the defendants have shown that what they published in the meaning which I have held the words to bear was substantially true.
"I have reached these conclusions having examined in detail the 14 incidents on which the defendants rely, as well as the over-arching considerations which the claimant submitted I should take into account."
The 16-day libel trial - considered the biggest in the 21st Century - unfolded in July with a string of bombshell revelations and claims of horrific violence.
Legions of fans gathered outside the High Court every morning as the former couple's turbulent relationship was played out to the world.
Megastars were dragged into the case as Depp spent 20 hours in the witness box bragging about his friendships with famous faces - including Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards and musician Sir Elton John.
He also admitted to taking drugs since the age of 14 as he faced an intense grilling over his wild Hollywood lifestyle.
But today's loss leaves his reputation in tatters, with his glittering silver screen career facing ruin.
And in another bitter blow, he could now face forking out millions of pounds in legal costs - including The Sun’s.
A spokesperson for The Sun said: "The Sun has stood up and campaigned for the victims of domestic abuse for over twenty years.
"Domestic abuse victims must never be silenced and we thank the Judge for his careful consideration and thank Amber Heard for her courage in giving evidence to the court."
There is so much more on this story in The Sun.
Married British Olympic cycling coach sacked over ‘inappropriate relationships with riders’ after secret texts uncovered
Etienne Fermie, The Sun

BRITISH CYCLING'S head men's sprint coach has been sacked for 'inappropriate relationships with riders', reports claim.
Married coach Kevin Stewart, who has worked with Jason Kenny, was promoted from the academy in April 2019 with success at the Tokyo Olympics in mind.
Kevin Stewart was promoted to his current role in April 2019 - there is no suggestion the riders he is pictured with are involved in the scandal
But according to the Mail, British Cycling have terminated his contract with immediate effect after secret texts were uncovered. They claim that Stewart was found guilty of 'gross misconduct' and bringing the governing body into 'disrepute'.
The Scot, who is married to Irish international track cyclist Robyn Stewart, was found to have shown a 'long-term pattern of inappropriate relationships with riders'.
It was also alleged that he had committed a 'serious act of insubordination' in regard to 'professional boundaries'. And his use of 'electronic communication' was found to be 'inappropriate'.
Sky News also allege that Stewart had ignored previous warnings over his conduct.
The announcement has sent shockwaves through British Cycling's Tokyo 2021 preparations. And Stewart has offered up an apology.
He said: "I wholeheartedly apologise to the team for my actions, which I acknowledge were not acceptable. I realised my actions had made my position on the team untenable and had handed in my resignation before being dismissed while on my notice period."
British Cycling performance director Stephen Park added: "While this has been uncomfortable for everybody concerned, it demonstrates the robustness of the processes we have in place when concerns are raised.
"The GB Cycling Team has a clear set of expected behaviours and values and we must hold ourselves and each other to account when we do not meet the standards of behaviour we set as a team."
Kenny, 32, is one gold medal away from moving ahead of British legend Sir Chris Hoy as his country's most successful-ever Olympian. But he will have to do so in less-than-ideal circumstances.
Justice Department lets prosecutor who authored Epstein’s sweetheart deal skate with wrist-slap

The Florida prosecutor who handed infamous pedophile Jeffrey Epstein the cushy 13-month sweetheart deal that gave him a minimal prison sentence while he feigned repentance for sex crimes has been vindicated in a new ruling.
The Justice Department found the 2008 non-prosecution deal with Epstein – which saw him skate almost entirely on charges of allegedly grooming and assaulting dozens of underage girls – to be dodgy but legal, a Thursday news release confirmed, stating that the federal prosecutor (later Trump's labor secretary) who had handed down the non-prosecution had merely made a “poor judgment.”
The ruling was met with something less than enthusiasm from Americans who’d been tracking the case. “Letting a well-connected billionaire get away with child rape and international sex trafficking isn’t ‘poor judgment’,” Republican congressman Ben Sasse (Nebraska) argued, calling the ruling “a disgusting failure.”
No, it's worse than that. It is outright corruption. The Justice Department's ruling was 'a disgusting failure' and 'poor judgment'. Epstein's lawyers, Ken Starr and Alan Dershowitz pressed for the sweetheart deal and won. Dershowitz, by the way, is recorded as being a frequent flyer on Lolita.
The Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), which looked into the decision of Florida authorities to essentially let the notorious sex trafficker off with a slap on the wrist, declared it was within the scope of former Trump labor secretary Alex Acosta's authority to “[make] the pivotal decision to resolve the federal investigation of Epstein through a state-based plea” and set the terms of the deal that so many have objected to upon learning of it in recent years.
While the OPR “did not find evidence that his decision was based on corruption or other impermissible considerations, such as Epstein's wealth, status, or associations,” the body did find it represented “poor judgment,” calling the non-prosecution agreement a “flawed mechanism” for satisfying the investigation.
Acosta has long declined to speak about his decision to avoid prosecuting Epstein, implying as the wealthy pedophile came back into the public eye last year that the situation was above his pay grade and Epstein “belonged to intelligence.” The then-US Attorney General for Florida’s Southern District was allegedly told to “leave it alone,” he told Trump administration officials while he was being interviewed for a possible position in the administration. He was ultimately forced to resign as labor secretary after his role in the Epstein scandal became public knowledge.
This theory that Epstein was working for 'intelligence', either American or Mossad, has emerged before. There is no possible way to prove it. It could easily have been a ruse perpetrated by one of his many patrons of 'Lolita'. Or, it could be a flat-out lie. In any circumstance, it stinks to high heaven. If 'intelligence' was involved, someone should be fired and even prosecuted for aiding and abetting child sex trafficking. But, no, it will just be swept under the rug, because these are the people who run America.
The OPR acknowledged Acosta's actions failed to meet public demand regarding Epstein, admitting that “the victims were not treated with the forthrightness and sensitivity expected by the department.” Acosta echoed its conclusions, releasing his own statement praising the conclusions for fully “debunk[ing] allegations that the US [Attorney’s Office] improperly cut Epstein a ‘sweet-heart deal’ or purposefully avoided investigating potential wrongdoing.”
The victims were dealt with in a manner that technically did not break the law, but was morally indefensible (4th story on link). They should have been informed of the sweetheart deal before it went into effect, but they were never informed by Acosta or his department.
However, federal authorities had put together a comprehensive case against the convicted sex offender in the weeks before he supposedly killed himself in a Manhattan jail cell last year, suggesting there was some substance to the allegations that had been leveled against him more than a decade after he was first dragged into court. Epstein’s supposed partner-in-crime Ghislaine Maxwell is currently incarcerated awaiting trial on sex-trafficking and perjury charges.
