‘LGBT propaganda’ aimed at children has hit ‘colossal proportions,’

Russian internet watchdog claims

Urgent action needs to be taken to prevent young people from being exposed to LGBT+ content online, a leading Russian internet group has claimed, saying targeted sites should be blocked without having to wait for a court order.

Speaking to Moscow’s TASS on Monday, Yekaterina Mizulina, the director of the Safe Internet League and a member of the country’s Civic Chamber, warned that the online space is becoming increasingly politicized. “LGBT propaganda aimed at children on social networks has hit colossal proportions,” she argued.

According to her, “the next step in combatting gay propaganda among children, in the view of the Safe Internet League, is to introduce the pre-trial blocking of materials that promote non-traditional family values among minors.”

In a statement, the online safety group told parents that platforms like TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, as well as Russian networking site VKontakte, “are filled with gay propaganda aimed at minors: cartoons, comics, anime, videos shot by famous bloggers.”

Moscow adopted a law in 2013 that banned the “promotion of non-traditional relationships” among young people, in a move lawmakers said would protect them. However, detractors, including a large number of Western lobby groups, have insisted it constitutes an attack on LGBT+ rights, with the Council of Europe demanding the measures be revoked. The European Court of Human Rights has also ruled that Moscow must recognize gay marriages after an appeal from same-sex couples, with the Kremlin insisting that would be against the terms of the country’s constitution.

Defending the measures, President Vladimir Putin has argued that the law targets only “gay propaganda,” and had “nothing to do with persecuting individuals for their sexual orientation.” Speaking to journalists after the bill was passed, the Russian leader said, “I don’t care about a person’s orientation, and I myself know some people who are gay. We are on friendly terms. I’m not prejudiced in any way.”

In July, popular grocery story chain VkusVill was forced to apologize after featuring a lesbian couple and their children in an advert for vegan food. In a statement, the firm blamed the marketing materials on “the unprofessionalism of individual employees” and said it regretted the public outcry over the ad.

'It regretted the public outcry', but it didn't regret the ad. That's liberal 'thinkspeak'!

Parents sue to oust chair of bathroom-assault school’s board

10 Nov, 2021 19:56

A school board meeting in scandal-hit Loudoun County, Virginia devolved into a shouting match after parents revealed they had obtained more than the necessary 2,000 signatures to remove the board's chair.

Parent group Fight for Schools has obtained several hundreds more signatures than required to remove Brenda Sheridan, the head of the Loudoun County school board. They filed suit on Tuesday to remove the offending official, who hails from the Sterling district, and threatened to remove several of her cronies as well.

"From violating open meetings law to ignoring the school board's code of conduct to neglecting to keep our children safe, all for her activist causes, Sheridan has been nothing short of a disaster as the so-called leader of Loudoun County Public Schools," Fight for Schools executive director Ian Prior declared in a statement on Tuesday.

The petitions charge the targeted officials "focused board attention on open bathroom policies, renaming schools, removing class rank, issuing special proclamations… and other issues unrelated to the core issue of a safe environment that is focused on an education program of high quality."

Prior told the media his organization was "looking forward to the next steps and replacing school board members that are political servants with non-partisan public servants who will put the focus back on excellence in education."

To remove an elected official in Virginia, a petitioner must obtain 10% of however many votes were cast in the previous election to that office. The Sheridan-linked petition was safely over the line, representing 152% of last election's voters. Other officials named by the organization, including Atoosa Reaser, Ian Serotkin, and Denise Corbo, were all targeted with signature numbers significantly over what was needed to remove them.

Local parent Megan Jenkins warned the remaining members against trying to resign to save face, as former board member Beth Barts did earlier this month.

Addressing the four remaining alleged offenders, parent Megan Jenkins noted that 100% of required signatures for the petitions had already been obtained. "So I'm not going to encourage any of you to resign because when you are recalled and removed from office, it will be much more satisfying," she said.

See you in court.

Scandal erupted in Loudoun County after a "gender-fluid" student was discovered to have sexually assaulted children at two schools, with the district transferring him to another school rather than go public with the crime. The unnamed 15-year-old offender has since been convicted of the first assault and is awaiting trial on the second. Loudoun County has meanwhile become the site of a cultural tug-of-war, with parents who want a traditional education for their children accusing the school boards of pushing what they say is "critical race theory" on their kids, and demanding accountability for the apparent cover-up of "transgender crime."

LGBT Virgin Mary poster may land 3 activists in jail

I can't bring myself to post this picture of both Mary and Jesus with rainbow haloes.

Three female activists have been summoned back to court over their posters depicting the Virgin Mary with an LGBT flag halo offending religious feelings. They were cleared of the same charges earlier this year.

Three women, named by Amnesty International as Elzbieta, Anna, and Joanna, are due to appear in Poland’s docks on Wednesday for allegedly putting up the images of the Virgin Mary with a rainbow halo in public spaces in the city of Plock in late April 2019.

Polish authorities charged the trio in July 2020. Elzbieta was arrested in Poland the previous year after traveling abroad.

The women were cleared on charges of violating Article 196 of Warsaw’s penal code in March this year. Prosecutors appealed the verdict, however, and demanded their return to court.

The article stipulates that “whoever offends the religious feelings of other persons by publicly insulting an object of religious worship, or a place designated for public religious ceremonies, is liable to pay a fine, have his or her liberty limited, or be deprived of his or her liberty for a period of up to two years.”

Of course, if this was Mohammed with the rainbow halo, there would be riots in the streets and beheadings.

Amnesty International’s senior campaigner in Europe’s regional office, Catrinel Motoc, slammed Poland’s judiciary, claiming that the appeal “smacks of harassment and intimidation and the case should be dropped.”

Instead of dragging these activists back through court, the Polish authorities should be promoting and protecting the rights of LGBTI people who face an increasingly repressive climate of state-sponsored homophobia.

Even when they use (or abuse) those rights to blaspheme Christians?

The treatment of LGBT issues in Poland has long been a point of friction between human rights organizations and the EU alike. The European Commission even threatened to cut off funds to a handful of Polish regions if they did not revoke their self-declared “LGBT-free zone” titles.

September saw a handful of regions ditch these statuses after Brussels hit Warsaw with the threat of pulling payouts.

The European Commission announced in July that it was beginning the process of taking legal action against Poland, as well as Hungary, for human rights violations of their LGBT communities, which the bloc says is not in line with its values.

So, this issue should have been addressed before Poland and Hungary joined the EU. Had they known they were entering a cult-like social movement, I suspect they would never have joined.

‘Grown man dressed as a schoolgirl’: England ace roasted for

magazine cover – but it’s ‘toxic masculinity’ if you don’t like it

England and Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been widely roasted after photos of him on a magazine cover appearing to be dressed as a schoolgirl with a pink handbag spread online.

The striker already known for his unconventional dress sense pushed the envelope even further with his appearance on the front of The Homme Plus Mag.

A popular football account on Twitter shared the cover on its account with a caption that read: "Dominic Calvert-Lewin has levels of sauce you or I could only dream of."

Quite predictably, reaction was mixed.

"Is this what you call sauce?" someone asked.

"I’d call it dressing up as an 11-year-old girl on her first day at school but what do I know."

"Can't say wearing a skirt is sauce/drip we want, mate. But whatever floats your boat," was another remark along those lines.

So too was: "I'd rather be completely sauceless."

"Looks like Dora the Explorer attending a funeral," was one of the most popular wisecracks on the matter.

"And she's not happy about it," was a reply to that.

"So I’m ok with Calvert Lewin being who he wants to be," added another fan, before cautioning: "What I’m struggling with is a grown man dressing in a girls school uniform.

"Happy to be educated, but if you went to drop your kids off at school and there was a bloke stood outside in a girls school uniform, would that be ok?"

Anyone who didn't approve of Calvert-Lewin's act was slammed for their "toxic masculinity".

"All the people saying he shouldn’t wear that are prime and samples of toxic masculinity," was a remark saying just that.

"We wonder why men’s mental health is so bad and you look at these comments."

As some tried to point out that the 24-year-old is actually wearing shorts and not a skirt, others meanwhile simply didn't care.

"While it’s not an outfit I would wear, fair play to him doing what he wants to do," chimed in one onlooker.

"Whoever made the rules to say men can’t wear a skirt?! Or pink etc etc."

Deuteronomy 22:5
“A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God.

"Not how I would choose to dress, but fair play to him," was similar praise.

Kids aged 12 to be allowed gender change in a EU country – draft bill

The Swedish government has proposed to allow children as young as 12 to change their legal gender without medical examination or approval. A draft legislation states that only guardian consent will be required.

The bill, published for consultation by the Ministry for Social Affairs on Tuesday, reportedly contains two laws – one modifying current procedures to change legal medical gender in the national population register and another on gender-corrective medical treatment and surgery.

At present, a doctor’s statement is required to change one’s legal gender at the Swedish Tax Agency, which can be done starting from the age of 18. The government has long been attempting to modernize the country’s gender affiliation law.

'Modernize' - not the word I would use!

“It’s important for the individual to be able to live in the gender and the identity you have. When talking about changing gender identity in the population register, it deserves to be different from having an intervention on one’s genitals,” Social Affairs Minister Lena Hallengren of the Social Democratic Party told public broadcaster SVT.

Why?

While the age threshold for gender-corrective medical treatment will continue to be 18 years, applicants will not need a permit from the National Board of Health and Welfare to get the surgery. Instead, the necessary tests will be run by local doctors.

Well, that's good. But not if it means puberty blockers can be used by children. Given that 80-85% of gender-confused children normalize to their biological sex after puberty, puberty blockers use should be a criminal offense.

Noting that it was difficult to predict whether the number of gender change applications will rise if the bill is implemented, Hallengren also added that conversations about the process between an individual and medical professionals will continue to be important.

A previous iteration of the bill in 2018 was harshly criticized by Sweden’s legal council. Among other things, it proposed lowering the age limit for surgery to 15 years, without the need for guardian consent. It would also have allowed 15-year olds to change their legal gender without consent.

The bill has been called a major boost for trans rights by the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex Rights (RFSL). However, Sweden Democrat MP Angelica Lundberg had suggested last year to raise the age threshold to 25 instead, warning that a large number of young people who change their biological gender later regret their intervention.

And a huge percentage of trans youth attempt suicide.
