Russian combat sports fighter Artur ‘Acab’ Kalinsky has been accused of a brutal assault on a former lover while police officers called to investigate reportedly took pictures with the bare-knuckle brawler.
According to information shared by well-known Russian lawyer and celebrity activist Ekaterina Gordon, the victim required a metal plate to be inserted in her arm (after) an attack from the Hardcore Fighting Championship combatant.
“This is the ex-girlfriend of controversial MMA fighter and Hardcore fighter Arthur Kulinsky, known by the nickname Acab, whom he cannot forgive for leaving him after he broke her arm (now there is a pin in her hand and the arm does not bend)...,” Gordon wrote to her 1 million followers, sharing images of the bruised and battered face of the victim.
“Yesterday we wrote a statement to the police, and we also arrived at the store where she ran in and asked for help, grabbed the counter, and the saleswomen beat her on the hands...
“Having arrived, the police officers were happy to take pictures with the fighter.
“An ordinary story, an ordinary day, ordinary people... I understand that the world is terrible now, but don't turn into beasts,” wrote Gordon.
According to reports from Russian outlet Super.ru, Kalinsky beat his former lover numerous times, “honing his professional skills on her.”
After she left him, he allegedly tracked her down on the street and beat her again – leading to the police being called, only to take photos with the fighter.
In her message, Gordon noted that she has teamed up with the Russian president of the International Boxing Association (AIBA), Umar Kremlev, to provide legal assistance to athletes but would in this case act to help Kalinsky's alleged victim.
“Gordon and Kremlev created @lawfederationru to protect athletes, not such thugs. Therefore, we take this girl who is hiding from her ‘pursuer’ under our wing. We are for sports, for fair fighting in the ring, and we are against violence!” she wrote.
Kalinsky, 25, is a popular face on Hardcore Fighting Championship’s YouTube shows, which regularly rack up millions of views.
Fighting is extremely popular in uber-machismo Russia.
‘Acab’ is reported to be a fan favorite for his brash, uncompromising style and holds a bare-knuckle record of two wins and three defeats, as well as a loss in his solitary MMA outing.
The tattooed Kulinsky has said that he conducts fights in state of alcohol and drug intoxication, according to Eurosport.ru, and has spent time in prison as well as a monastery.
Apparently, neither were of any help!
The disgraced fighter has shared footage with his 184,000 Instagram followers of himself training with Russian-Australian boxing icon Kostya Tszyu.

A senior politician socialised with a paedophile with convictions dating back over 40 years, according to a whistleblower.
The politician is alleged to have met the offender a number of times – even though he is not a constituent.
A surveillance team watching the man following his release from prison recognised the MP.
Detectives then set up a ‘nominal file’ on the politician, which was closed days later on the orders of senior officers, according to reports from The Sun.
The shocking claims are made by a whistleblower first told about the matter several years ago. He said that he has been ‘troubled’ by the suggestion that ‘someone on high’ thought an intervention was necessary.
It is unclear who the senior politician is, however, police told The Sun they are looking into the disturbing reports.
The informant, who worked in the criminal justice system for 20 years, has now made a 680-word statement to police about the case. He has also supplied the names of three officers whom he believes may help with any investigation.
A spokesperson for the police force involved told the newspaper: ‘We are aware of, and are looking into, the allegations.’

Former world No.1 tennis doubles player Peng Shuai, one of China's biggest sporting stars, has publicly accused a former Chinese vice-premier of forcing her into sex several years ago in a social media post that was later deleted.
According to a screenshot of her verified Weibo account late on Tuesday, Peng said that Zhang Gaoli, who became a member of the Politburo Standing Committee — China's top decision-making body — coerced her into sex and they later had an on-off consensual relationship.
The post was deleted around 30 minutes after it was published, although searches for Peng's name on China's tightly controlled internet surged after the posting, and screenshots were shared among private WeChat groups and over iMessage.
China's internet is heavily censored and the private lives of top leaders are an especially sensitive subject.
Peng, who said in the post that she could provide no evidence to back her allegations, did not respond to a request for comment sent to her Weibo account. Sports marketing agency APG, which says on its website that it represents her, did not respond to a request for comment.

China's State Council Information Office did not immediately respond to requests for comment, including for comment from Zhang. When asked at a regular daily briefing about the Weibo post, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said he was not aware of the issue and that "this is not a question related to foreign affairs."
Post creates buzz in short timespan
Weibo and Tencent, which operates WeChat, did not respond to requests for comment.
Sexual harassment and assault were for years rarely broached in public in China until a #MeToo movement began in 2018, when a Beijing college student publicly accused her professor of sexual harassment. That spread to non-government organizations, media and other industries.
A Weibo timescale function showed that a hashtag of Peng Shuai's name, which had few to no mentions prior to Tuesday, has racked up more than 20 million views since her post. Discussions of the hashtag surged around the time of Peng's post, but later plummeted as posts on the topic were deleted.
By early Wednesday, searches for Peng's name on Weibo yielded no results and discussions of the topic were blocked. Users of WeChat and QQ, another chat app, were blocked from sending the screenshots to each other.
While Peng's Weibo account remained available, with earlier posts visible, the comment and repost functions were disabled.
Zhang, now 75, was a vice-premier between 2013 and 2018 and had also been party secretary of the northeastern province of Shandong. He served on the Politburo Standing Committee between 2012 and 2017.
Peng was the world No.1 doubles player in 2014, the first Chinese player to achieve a top ranking, after winning the doubles titles at Wimbledon in 2013 and the French Open in 2014.
