Canada's Pathetic Justice System > Two child molesters and one violent man slip ankle monitors waiting for sentencing

The question is, why were they on ankle monitors when they had been found guilty and were waiting for sentencing? What do you have to do to be remanded until sentencing? Can you imagine their victims accidentally encountering them? Do you think an ankle bracelet is going to make them feel secure?

Child molesters should go to prison until their victims are at least 25 years old. But Canada's criminal-centric justice system takes very little account of the victims, even when they are children.

Accused child sex offender possibly heading to India after ankle monitor escape

Twenty-one-year-old Prabhjeet Singh was being monitored for an alleged sexual offence involving a minor in May 2025.

Canadian law enforcement authorities have lost track of at least three alleged sex offenders and one violent suspect who have all vanished after removing their GPS ankle monitors.

Twenty-one-year-old Prabhjeet Singh, who was being monitored for an alleged sexual offence involving a minor in May 2025, is the latest individual to disappear in Edmonton after removing his GPS ankle monitor.

Edmonton police said Singh removed his ankle bracelet and disappeared from a rural area in Lamont County, Alberta, near Sherwood Park on July 20.

Singh is six feet tall and 173 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Investigators said he has “ties to India” and that he may be trying to flee the country ahead of his scheduled court appearance on July 29. As of July 30, Edmonton police have yet to provide an update on Singh or his potential whereabouts.

In Ontario, meanwhile, York Regional Police are searching for Ryan Vandenakker.

Vandenakker failed to appear in Superior Court in Newmarket on July 24 for sentencing. He had been previously convicted of three counts of sexual assault involving separate victims, with the offences occurring between 2018 and 2021.

Despite his absence, the court sentenced Vandenakker in absentia to seven years in prison. Vandenakker is described as having a muscular build, hazel eyes, numerous tattoos, and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and white cap with the “LA” logo.

He is known to frequent Collingwood and Grey County and may be driving a black 2009 Honda Civic with Ontario licence plate CWKW695.

Meanwhile, Toronto police are searching for Husam Daher, 28, a U.K. national who allegedly removed his GPS ankle bracelet in violation of court-ordered conditions.

Daher was arrested in June for assault causing bodily harm and released under supervision, including the use of a GPS monitor.

On July 27, investigators reported that Daher allegedly removed the device and fled. He is now wanted on two additional charges of failing to comply with a release order.

Police in all provinces are asking for the public’s help in locating Singh, Vandenakker and Daher.

Anyone with information is asked to contact local police or Crime Stoppers.
