Poor Sunny Islam suffers from anxiety, and so he couldn’t face the prospect of a public parole hearing. Of course, his wellbeing comes before that of his victims or of British non-Muslims, and so he must be handled with kid gloves. If he walks free and violent rapes another woman, it will doubtless be the fault of Britain’s deeply “Islamophobic” society. Shattered, staggering, dhimmi Britain is, of course, finished.

A serial rapist who attacked four women in east London during a three-month reign of terror could soon be freed.
Sunny Islam, now aged 37, was handed an indefinite sentence in 2012 after being linked to the violent sex attacks in which he armed himself with a knife and plastic cable ties.
Victims were traumatised after they were dragged from the street, tied up and subjected to brutal beatings at Islam’s hands.
Although police fear there may be more victims who have never come forward, Islam is now lobbying for freedom at an upcoming Parole Board hearing, The Mail reports.
The hearing will be held behind closed doors despite one victim’s application for public proceedings, after it was heard Islam suffered “anxiety” at the thought of facing the public.
The Parole Board has now acquiesced to his lawyer’s arguments for the session to be conducted privately.
Islam’s solicitor said: “Since learning that an application has been made for the oral hearing to be held in public, the prisoner has reported a dramatic increase in his anxiety, including sleep disturbance….
Although no medical evidence was given in support of these argument, Judge Jeremy Roberts ruled against public proceedings, noting both Islam’s “anxiety” and the potential impact on other victims whose thoughts are not known on the matter.
Islam, who said he came from a devout Muslim background, was 21 when he launched a series of sex attacks in 2010….
Surely, the Parole Board cannot be so stupid as to let such an unstable lunatic free in society again. Or could they?
Former Pakistani minister on bail over alleged child rape in 1990s Manchester
Exclusive: Rukhsar Ahmed was re-elected as an MP in Pakistan last week despite being on police bail in the UK
A former Pakistani state minister was arrested two years ago on suspicion of raping vulnerable young girls in Manchester in the 1990s, the Guardian can reveal.
Rukhsar Ahmed, who was re-elected as an MP in Pakistan last week after five years out of office, is on police bail in the UK after his arrest in July 2024 on suspicion of rape and trafficking children in care as part of a grooming gang.
It is understood that Ahmed, 62, was expected to answer bail at a police station in Manchester last month, but failed to attend because he was “too unwell to fly”.
At the same time, he was pictured on social media campaigning at various election gatherings in Mirpur in northern Pakistan.
He was elected last week as an MP in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly for the party of Pakistan’s prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif.
Ahmed, who represents the centre-right Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was a minister in various state governments from 2006 until he lost his seat in 2021.
The Guardian understands that Greater Manchester police (GMP) had wanted to restrict Ahmed’s ability to travel abroad as part of his bail conditions, but a judge rejected tougher measures in July 2024.
Ahmed was arrested at Manchester airport on 18 July 2024 in relation to past child sexual abuse allegations linked to the Rusholme area of the city, where he lived for many years.
Ahmed, who has more than 17,000 followers on Facebook, was pictured with friends in Rusholme as recently as May, with associates saying he has visited regularly.
He is the owner of a former restaurant, the Gujjar Palace, near Manchester’s curry mile. One friend said people travelled for hundreds of miles to see the businessman, given his role in Pakistani politics.
Detectives questioned Ahmed in July 2024 about allegations from at least two women who claimed that Ahmed was involved in raping and trafficking them when they were young girls.
It is understood that detectives learned about Ahmed’s involvement in Pakistani politics when he was in custody for questioning.
The ongoing investigation relates to allegations from several women about sexual abuse of children at care homes in the early 1990s, when Ahmed was in his late 20s.
He is understood to be expected to answer police bail in the next six weeks. If he does not attend, GMP may issue a warrant for his arrest or take steps to extradite him – potentially causing a diplomatic row.
The revelation comes weeks after Pakistan refused the UK government’s attempts to deport a freed ringleader of a Rochdale grooming gang.
Shabir Ahmed, 73, was released from jail in July after serving 14 years of a 22-year sentence for 30 child rape offences.
Friends of Rukhsar Ahmed described him as “incredibly influential” in Manchester’s Pakistani community given his political role.
One associate in Rusholme said he was a “man of the people” and “one of the least corrupt people”, adding that he had visited the area recently.
He is known to have visited a popular Pakistani restaurant on Stockport Road in Longsight, near Rusholme, on numerous occasions. Photos from one visit, which he posted to his Facebook account, show him and several others standing outside the restaurant.
Those on Stockport Road speak highly of Ahmed. One man described him as “a man of conviction who helps people who need it”.
He is particularly respected by people from the self-governing region Azad Kashmir, where his LA-4 Mirpur-IV seat is based.
His influence in the community is such that people come from across the UK to meet him when he visits Manchester, which he is believed to do every few months.
The Gujjar Palace was boarded up and derelict when the Guardian visited on Tuesday. One local business owner said it had been closed since at least 2009. Ahmed is the only director of the company that owns the restaurant, but it was almost struck off earlier this year after failing to file its accounts.
Eight men charged in child sexual exploitation investigation
Eight men have been charged with more than 30 offences as part of an investigation into group-based child sexual exploitation.
Detectives from Gwent Police carried out a targeted operation on 14 July to arrest the men which included activity in Newport, Swansea, London, Birmingham, Lancashire, Edinburgh and the Argyll and Bute area in Scotland.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised 34 charges which includes 17 counts of rape some of which relate to multiple incidents of rape.
Operation Oak is our investigation into reports made by a number of women of sexual abuse committed against them as children between 1985 and 1996.
The charges relate to eight victims who were children at the time of the alleged offences.
The men, aged 54 to 73, are all British citizens and are bailed to appear before Newport Magistrates’ Court on Friday 24 July.
Those charged are:
Shafaq Mohammed, aged 58, of Birmingham. His self-defined ethnicity is Asian Pakistani.
He has been charged with 11 offences:
- four counts of rape of a female under 16
- three counts of rape of a female aged 16 years or over
- two counts of aiding and abetting the rape of a female under 16
- causing the prostitution of a girl under sixteen (section 28 of the Sexual Offences Act 1956)
- causing the prostitution of a woman (section 22 Sexual Offences Act 1956)
Some of the charges of rape relate to multiple incidents of rape.
Syed Mohammad Ashan Taqvi, aged 65, of Newport. His self-defined ethnicity is Asian Pakistani.
He has been charged with three offences:
- Three counts of rape of a female under 16

Mohammed Sheikh Abdul Hannan, aged 54, of Edinburgh. His self-defined ethnicity is British Bangladeshi.
He has been charged with eight offences:
- Two counts of rape of a female aged 16 years or over
- Indecent assault on a woman over 16 years of age
- Three counts of aiding and abetting the rape of a female under 16 years of age or over
- Two counts of conspiring to rape a woman aged 16 years or over
Some of the charges of rape relate to multiple incidents of rape.
Kevin Lawrence, aged 54, of Dunoon. His self-defined ethnicity is White European.
He has been charged with three offences:
- Two counts of conspiring to rape a woman aged 16 years or over
- Causing the prostitution of a woman (Section 22 Sexual Offences Act 1956)
Sheikh Mohammed Tahir Ullah aged 73, of Newport. His self-defined ethnicity is Asian Bangladeshi. He has been charged with one count of rape of a female aged 16 years or over and one count of rape of a female under 16.
Aminur Rahman Chowdhury, aged 58, of Tottenham, London. His self-defined ethnicity is Asian Bangladeshi. He has been charged with one count of rape of a female aged 16 years or over.
Shakeel Babur, aged 58, of Lancashire. His self-defined ethnicity is British Pakistani. He has been charged with four counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 16. Some of the charges of indecent assault relate to multiple incidents of indecent assault.
Murad Ali, aged 57, of Swansea. His self-defined ethnicity is Asian Pakistani. He has been charged with two counts of rape of a female under 16.
Detective Chief Superintendent Andrew Tuck said:
“Operation Oak is a complex and long-running investigation into group-based child sexual exploitation in south Wales. Through our partnership with the CPS, we have now reached this significant stage in which eight men have been charged.
“At the heart of our investigation has been supporting victims. Together with specialist agencies, we are continuing to provide support to them.
“I know investigations of this nature are likely to cause concern in our communities but it’s vital to the victims in this case and the integrity of the investigation that nothing in posted on social media which could impact the court proceedings.
“Anyone who reports child abuse will be taken seriously, and we would urge anyone who has suffered abuse or has concerns about someone who may be suffering to come forward. We will listen to you and investigate all offences, and also ensure you have access to any help or support you need.”
Jenny Hopkins, Chief Crown Prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service, said:
“We have decided to prosecute eight men with rape and child sexual abuse charges for alleged offending during 1985 to 1996 – following a Gwent Police investigation into organised grooming gang activity in South Wales.
“Our prosecutors have worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to court and that it is in the public interest to pursue criminal proceedings.
“We have worked closely with Gwent Police as they carried out their investigation.
“We remind all concerned that criminal proceedings against these defendants are active and that they have the right to a fair trial.
