Hamas War > Karina Ariev - One Hostage Survivor's Story

Freed hostage threatened Hamas captor who sexually abused her

Karina Ariev reportedly told outgoing IDF Chief of Staff that she was severely beaten, strangled during abduction to Gaza.

By World Israel News Staff

A female observation soldier who was kidnapped from her army base by Hamas terrorists and held in the Gaza Strip for 13 months revealed that she was sexually harassed by one of her captors, according to a Saturday evening report on Channel 12 News.

Karina Ariev, 20, was abducted from Nahal Oz alongside Agam Berger, Daniella Gilboa, Liri Albag, and Naama Levy.

Nearly all of the other soldiers on the base were killed in the Hamas onslaught.

The five women were freed in late January and early February, during phase one of the ongoing ceasefire and hostage exchange deal.

While Ariev has not yet spoken directly to the media, Channel 12 News reported new details about October 7th and her time in captivity. The report is based on a conversation that Ariev had with outgoing Chief of Staff Herzi HaLevi.

One of the terrorists repeatedly sexually harassed Ariev, though details about his behavior were not included in the report. Ariev said she threatened to tell his commander about his actions, and the harassment stopped, according to Channel 12 News.

This means that at least some Hamas soldiers were under orders not to sexually assault women. This is the first faint glimpse of humanity from Hamas.

The Jerusalem-born soldier said she had initially played dead during the Hamas invasion of the base, hiding amid a pile of dead bodies.

Meanwhile, terrorists fired additional shots into dead soldiers’ bodies to confirm they had killed them.

A terrorist noticed that Ariev was still alive and pulled her aside. If he hadn’t seen her breathing, Ariev likely would have been shot multiple times.

On the way to Gaza, Ariev was severely beaten and strangled nearly to the point of unconsciousness by her abductors.

They also stole her jewelry and ripped hair out of her head.

At one point Ariev was forced to lie on the hot hood of the terrorists’ vehicle, which caused burns to her body.

Once in captivity, Ariev endured psychological torture, including threats and insults from the terrorists guarding her.

Islam Hates Girls, especially Jews > The nightmare of being a hostage in Gaza

Raped, starved, branded, and left in total darkness – ex-hostages reveal horrors of Gaza captivity

Testimonies of returned hostages collected by Israel’s Health Ministry submitted in report to the UN reveals systematic sexual, physical,  and psychological torture of captives, along with intentional starvation, branding of skin with hot metal objects, and refusal of medical treatment.

By David Rosenberg, World Israel News

Gaza terrorists holding Israelis and foreign nationals captive following the invasion of southwestern Israel on October 7th systematically abused them and intentionally starved or denied medical treatment to many of their victims, according to the testimony of returned hostages.

On Saturday, the Israeli Health Ministry published its report to United Nations Special Rapporteur Alice Edwards, submitted last Monday, which provides details on the allegations lodged by former hostages against Hamas terrorists and others who held them captive in the Gaza Strip after October 7th.

The report, which does not cite individual former captives, is based upon the testimony of returned hostages, most of whom were released during the November 2023 ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

According to the report, the psychological and physical abuse of hostages – including sexual assault and torture – was common during their captivity, as was the denial of critical medical care and even food, with many captives intentionally starved.

“Women, men, and children who returned from captivity reported that they endured severe physical and sexual abuse, such as beatings, isolation, deprivation of food and water, branding, hair-pulling, and sexual assault,” the report said.

“Additionally, some of them reported that the captors sexually assaulted them or forced them to undress.”

One hostage reported being raped by a Hamas terrorist at gunpoint, while multiple women said their captors sexually assaulted them.

“In addition, some women reported that they were tied to beds while their captors stared at them.”

“On several occasions, captors forced women of all ages to undress while others, including the captors, watched.”

One woman who was injured during the October 7th invasion was tied up, preventing her from moving, while she was held in total darkness for 30 days.

As with many of the captives, she was denied medical care and was kept on a starvation diet.

“Other women also reported starvation and abuse by their captors.”

The male captives, the report continued, were subjected to “severe physical abuse,” and deliberate acts of humiliation, “including continuous starvation, beatings, burns with galvanized iron (branding), hair-pulling, confinement in closed rooms with a limited amount of food and water, being held in isolation with hands and feet tied, and being denied access to the bathroom, which forced them to defecate on themselves.”

Multiple children were tortured during captivity, with the report noting “signs of binding, scars, and marks consistent with trauma.”

“Two young children had burn marks on their lower limbs. One child stated that the burns were the result of a deliberate branding with a heated object.”

“Both the child and adults who were with him in captivity described the incident as a purposeful branding event, not an accident. It was described as an extremely traumatic experience.”

Many captives were subjected to “solitary confinement, poor sanitation, severe medical neglect, lack of sleep, starvation, sexual abuse, violence, threats, and brainwashing through media designed to break their spirit and make them submissive.”

Roughly half of the returned hostages said they were “deliberately starved during their captivity.”

“They were given a poor diet, which often led to hunger that worsened over time. In addition to inadequate nutrition, they were kept in dark spaces, increasing the risk of vitamin D deficiency.”

“This malnutrition resulted in an average weight loss of 8-15 kg (10-17% of body weight), with children losing an average of 10%, and in one extreme case, a girl lost 18% of her body weight.”

Infections and other illnesses, resulting from the poor sanitary conditions, starvation, and denial of medical treatment, were rampant, the report said.

“Many suffered from diarrhea, abdominal pain, and sometimes constipation. They had limited access to showers and returned with skin infections, including Dermatitis.”

“Infections were detected in hospital cultures (Clostridium, Salmonella, Vibrio, Shigella, Giardia, E. coli). Some were diagnosed with Q fever, while two returned hostages suffered from acute case of Q fever. Several of the elderly women developed Deep Venous Thrombosis due to age, pre-existing medical conditions without medication, and lack of mobility during captivity.”

“Many hostages also suffered from untreated chronic conditions (e.g., heart failure, diabetes, hypothyroidism), leading to severe short-term medical deterioration, such as low blood pressure, bradycardia, and hypothermia.”

“In one case a hostage died from untreated medical complications. Also, several older women required urgent life-saving treatment due to untreated hypertension and hypothyroidism.”

Israeli Health Minister Uriel Busso (Shas) called the report a “wake-up call for the international community.”

Good luck with that, the international community has long since hit the snooze button.

“The report we are submitting to the UN is a harrowing testimony to the brutal experiences suffered by the hostages in Hamas captivity—cruel violence, psychological abuse, physical torment, and acts that defy comprehension,” said Busso.

They defy comprehension to anyone with a conscience, but Muslims have no conscience. Conscience comes from being raised in a healthy environment, or a godly environment. Muslims god is not real and Mohammed provided an insane environment for his followers.

“These actions cannot be tolerated and demand that the world awaken and take action. The report highlights the horrors endured by the hostages and reveals the brutality of the enemy with whom Israel is engaged.”

“The testimonies presented in this report serve as a wake-up call for the international community to apply increased pressure on Hamas and its supporters to release all hostages without delay. I urge the global community to utilize all available means to end this cruelty and bring the hostages home immediately. It is a moral and humanitarian imperative, and the time to act is running out.”

One Survivor's Story > Emotional Account of a young woman who survived becoming a hostage on Oct 7th, '23

The video picks up at the end of a debate on Palestine. The woman explains reality to the young man who supports Palestinians.

Young Israeli Woman Powerfully Delivers

Tearful Account Of Life As a Hamas Hostage

November 20, 2024 2.5K views

What is life like as an Israeli woman in captivity in Gaza? Hell squared. Well, that is not the most powerful point of this powerful message. What is life like for Arab women in Gaza? Do women in Gaza have rights? Or are they actually imprisoned by the norms of radical Arab society? The truth hurts, but the fact is that the largest human rights issue in the world is the manner in which women are treated in many Arab countries.

Take the general attitude of Arabs in Gaza to women, and couple that with the general attitude of Arabs in Gaza towards all Jews. That adds up to the event of the most vile treatment of women in modern history. The rape, torture and killing of Israeli women who lived outside of the Gaza Strip, most of whom were strong supporters of coexistence and peace agreements with Arabs, came as a total surprise to most of these Israeli women. To a large part of Israeli society, it was not a surprise at all.

The facts are that there has never been any form of sustained peace and tranquility in the Land of Israel over the last 100+ years. The largely empty Land of Israel was resettled by young Zionist pioneers in the 1880’s, early 1900’s and especially post World War I and World War II. But these pioneers were building on the ancient settling of the Land that had gone on over the centuries of Jews returning to their ancestral Homeland. There really was never a time of sustained calm. It was always a tenuous existence, and the Ottoman/Turkish authorities were never the most wonderful or reliable hosts.

But as the Jewish return picked up steam at the turn of the 20th century, new economic opportunities drove many Arabs from Egypt, Syria, and Saudi Arabia to look for economic advancement and they moved north, south, and West to also settle in the Land of Israel. The economic incentives were many. But the Arabs who came to Israel were also religious people and there were always groups of Arabs who attacked Jewish enclaves as long as the Jewish settlement existed.

What happened on October 7th was not an exception as much as a continuation of what has occurred in the Land of Israel over the last hundred years.

Ontario Catholic school ambushes 300 kids with shocking Hamas propaganda

Someone needs to be fired!

Ontario: Students ambushed with gory, disturbing images of Gaza war during ‘surprise’ anti-Israel assembly

The students at St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School in Richmond Hill “thought they were attending mass,” but instead, were ambushed with an aggressive political agenda that was heavy on shock effect.

Where is the school principal, Peter Parente, in this story? Parente, as well as whoever invited this mysterious propagandist to St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School in Richmond Hill, needs to be questioned about this nefarious incident by the York District School Board. Will there be consequences for this abuse of students? They were shown disturbingly graphic images by a pro-Hamas activist speaker. Who walks into a school with an overt agenda to indoctrinate students using such imagery? Who was the speaker, who was introduced simply as a surgeon? Will this speaker, who is unfit to be around youth, be going from school to school? It is important that this speaker be identified, as well as those who invited him or her. Would members of the Jewish community feel safe being attended to by this surgeon, after he or she demonstrated such an appalling lack of discretion?

Pro-Hamas activists are escalating their efforts rapidly, while authorities do nothing.

Anti-Israel tirade at Ontario Catholic high school shows

Jews are targets wherever they go

It also shows how far-left Ontario's education system is while the province is under a conservative government. Is this an indication of how little Ford Nation is concerned about children?

by Pe’er Krut, National Post, June 17, 2024:

With shots fired at two Canadian Jewish schools in late May, and an anti-Israel tirade waged by a guest speaker reported at a Catholic school, where should Jewish students turn? Where are we safe?

On May 21, students at St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School in Richmond Hill, Ont., were unwittingly ushered into an assembly where a guest speaker, introduced simply as a surgeon, projected graphic imagery from the Israel-Hamas conflict. Accompanying the visuals were a series of unfounded claims about the war, according to an anonymous letter shared by the Jewish Educators and Families Association of Canada.

Students thought they were attending a mass. Instead, around 300 of them listened as the speaker engaged demonized Israel and fed them a steady stream of false and misleading information. After corroborating the story with several students, both Jewish and non-Jewish, I learned the extent to which students were shocked and disturbed by the assembly.

Without warning, photos of children with their limbs cut off were projected on a screen. The speaker gave a one-sided perspective of the conflict, and presented opinions like, “Israel is the top-hated country in the world” as fact.

The speaker further implied that the October 7 massacre was justified, stating, “When these children grow up, how do you expect them not to hate Israel?” The speaker’s appearance, unlike other assemblies at the school, was not listed on the school’s website or calendar.

All this begs the question: is this the best use of students’ valuable class time? More concerningly, does this one-sided ambush contribute to their education, or is it simply an opportunity for a guest speaker to further a political agenda?…..

*Of course, they didn't show any scenes from Oct 7th, scenes like decapitated babies, girls with their breasts hacked off, murdered women and children, kidnapped women and children, gang-raped women and children.

There must be a real good lawsuit here. That may be the only way to get the Ford government's attention.

Hamas War > IDF Girls lined up, threatened with rape and death, on Oct 7th, by the Religion of Peace

Are all these girls pregnant now? Are any of them still alive. Islam hates women and girls, especially beautiful ones. They can't stand beauty.

Sickening new video shows Hamas line up female Israeli

soldiers on Oct. 7: ‘Here are the girls who can get pregnant’

Harrowing video released Wednesday shows the moment five female Israeli soldiers — covered in blood and surrounded by the bodies of their massacred comrades — were threatened with rape then taken away to Gaza by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7.

Bodycam footage from the Hamas gunmen shows the moment the young women, operating at the Nahal Oz base outside the Gaza Strip, were handcuffed and pressed against a wall while still in pajamas.

In the sickening video, the terrorists could be heard gloating and announcing their apparent plans to sexually assault the soldiers.

“Here are the girls who can get pregnant,” one of the gunmen said.

“You’re so beautiful.”

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum, which released the video, said the harrowing tape shows the horrifying reality of the five hostages still in the clutches of the terror group in Gaza. They were identified as Liri Albag, Karina Ariev, Agam Berger, Daniella Gilboa and Naama Levy.

Berger’s father, Shlomi, told The Post that he couldn’t imagine what it felt like for his 19-year-old daughter to face those threats while surrounded by dozens of armed men.

“This is a wakeup call to the world: look what we’re dealing with,” Shlomi said. “You saw how many terrorists were in that video.

“You only see three minutes but we know that they sat in the same place for two or three hours, and in front of their eyes they saw their friends that were murdered on the floor,” he added.

“Maybe they told themselves, ‘I’m lucky, I’m just wounded.’ But I don’t know how someone can be in this situation and be okay in their mind.”

Shlomi, who was first shown the video last month, said he could see just how afraid his daughter and her fellow soldiers were.

“When they said, ‘You are pretty,’ and ‘I can get you pregnant,’ I don’t know what a young girl who is hearing this is thinking,” the father lamented.

“It’s crazy as a father that my girl is in that situation and I can’t help her. I can’t do anything to help her.”

Shlomi said he and the other parents backed the decision to release the video to the public to put pressure on Israel’s leadership to advance negotiations to secure the release of the hostages in Gaza.

The women are among the roughly 100 hostages who have remained under Hamas captivity for more than seven months.

“The video is a damning testament to the nation’s failure to bring home the hostages, who have been forsaken for 229 days,” the group said in a statement urging that the hostage exchange talks with Hamas resume.

“The Israeli government must not waste even one more moment — it must return to the negotiating table today!”

The video, which was shot inside the Nahal Oz base’s bomb shelter, shows the Palestinian terrorists in complete control by 9 a.m. Oct. 7.

The gunmen could be seen inspecting the injured and bloodied women as they called them “dogs” and ordered them to pose for photos with their assailants.

Naama Levy was seen in the video with a bloodied face.

Levy could be seen with blood smeared across her face as she pleaded with the gunmen and told them that she has friends in Gaza.

Another one of the hostages was bleeding profusely from her mouth, with blood also staining her white pajama pants.

All of the women were wearing pajamas , as the base was attacked in the early morning during the Sukkot holiday.

Gilboa, 19, was seen wearing Snoopy pajama pants.

During the heated confrontation, Albag was seen uriging the gunmen to find someone who could speak English with her.

The terrorists, however, yell at them to be quiet and sit down, accusing the women of being behind the death of their comrades, who were presumably killed when Hamas overran the base.

After the terrorists stopped for a moment to pray, they could be seen hauling the injured women into the back of a car amid a flurry of gunfire pounding in the background.

Several of the women could be seen limping and having trouble getting to the vehicle, with some of the terrorists shouting at them to leave the bodies of their friends behind.

The final moments of the video show the women packed in the back of the car as dozens of angry screams could be heard while the vehicle drove off.

Albag’s mother, Shira, said it was hard to stomach the video, with families allowed to view an uncensored version before it was released to the public.

“I can tell you that I am one of the only mothers who have seen the video,” Shira Albag told public broadcaster KAN. “Most of the mothers have not watched it. It is very difficult to watch.

“This is a very edited video, very censored,” she added. “It is three minutes long and does not show everything that happened there in the entire two hours — but one can only imagine.”

Gilboa’s mother, Orly, said she stood behind the decision to release the video to try to pressure lawmakers to renew negotiations to help release the more than 130 hostages who remain in Gaza.

“The decision-makers have time to wait — they have other goals, so this led us to release the video to the public,” she told Ynet News. “I personally have not dared to [watch] all the footage — but the decision-makers need to see what the girls have been going through for 230 days.”

“In my worst nightmares, in the biggest and most terrible Hollywood movie, I never thought I would see such a moment in my daughter’s eyes,” Orly said of the footage she did view.

Levy’s mother, Dr. Ayelet Levy Shachar, was stunned by the video, and said that her daughter was a proponent of peace between Israelis and Palestinians and had participated in several demonstrations calling for peace.

She was completing military service, which is compulsory for nearly all Israelis, when she was taken hostage.

“At that moment, she probably couldn’t believe her situation and was trying to say whatever she could to explain to spare her life,” Levy Shachar told CNN.

The heartbroken mother also fought back tears as she discussed the sexual violence being threatend by Hamas against her daughter.

“I’m scared. I’m hurting for her, and I’m frustrated,” she said about the video and stalled cease-fire talks.

“What we see in that video is what’s been going on for them since,” Levy Shachar added. “This cannot be a side story.”

The mother added that several Israeli leaders refused to watch the video because they wanted “to sleep OK at night.”

In total, Hamas kidnapped seven female soldiers from the Nahal Oz base on Oct. 7, including Ori Megidish, who was rescued on Oct. 30, the Times of Israel reports.

The seventh kidnapping victim, Nao Marciano, 19, was confirmed dead earlier this month, allegedly killed by Hamas terrorists inside Gaza’s al-Shifa Hospital.

The harrowing video of the women at Nahal Oz comes as Norway, Ireland and Spain announced a joint decision to recognize Palestine as a state despite backlash that such acknowledgement rewards Hamas for the brutal Oct. 7 attack.

Speaking at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on Wednesday, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said the European leaders were essentially “giving a prize to Nukhba [Hamas’s elite commando unit] murderers and abusers,” the Times of Israel reports.

The Israeli hostages in the back of a truck.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, however, claimed that the decision to recognize Palestine was in no way a show of support for Hamas terrorists or a condemnation of the Jewish state.

“This recognition is not against the people of Israel and certainly not against the Jewish people,” he said in a statement. “It’s not in favor of Hamas. It’s in favor of co-existence.”

How stupid can you be? If Hamas was interested in co-existence, Oct 7th would never have happened. Why can't European leaders see that their only reason for existence is to annihilate the Jews. It's so obvious, and they have stated it so often, and yet godless leaders refuse to see it.

Irish leader Simon Harris said he expects other countries to join the three nations, who will officially recognize Palestine next Tuesday.
