Mumbai: A teenage girl was gang-raped by her friend and three other boys in Malad early this month but the crime came to light only after the girl’s aunt came across the video of the incident on WhatsApp.

All four boys who are minors have been taken into custody, produced before a juvenile court and sent to Dongri remand home where they will be questioned by a child welfare officer. The boys, studying in Grade 9 and 10 gang-raped the 15-year-old girl on November 8 and the complaint was lodged on November 25.

The crime took place when the girl’s friend called her to help him with his studies.

She went to his home since she would usually go to help him in his studies. On November 8, she went to his home after he requested her and found that he had called three other boys, after ensuring that no one was at home.

“The four minors hail from the locality as the rape survivor but go to different schools. The four made the 12-minute MMS whilst taking turns raping the survivor,” Malad police inspector Shashank Sandbhor told Gulf News. They further threatened to make the video viral on social sites if she told anyone. Sandbhor also said that the girl has undergone medical tests to confirm she was raped.

The victim lives with her sister, aunt and grandmother while her mother works abroad. Her father died some time ago.

Fearing that the video would be posted online, the girl remained silent until her aunt came across the video on Whatsapp on Wednesday and was shocked to find her niece being raped. She showed it to the girl who broke down and told of her ordeal. The family immediately rushed to Malad police station and registered a First Information Report.

The police swung into action and caught all the accused who have been booked under Section 376 G (gang rape) of the Indian Penal Code as well as under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences.

The police officer admitted that such incidents of gang rape are on the rise in western suburbs and one way of preventing crimes against minors is for parents to constantly monitor their children, whether they are very young or teenagers. “Parents should be constantly alert enough to know their child’s friends, where they are going and with whom, have an idea of their internet behaviour and learn to identify if something is unusual,” said Sandbhor.

Despite the fact that a rape survivor and her family may be traumatised, the punishment for minors who commit such crimes are not what an adult or anyone above 18 years of age would have to face.

According to Sangeeta Punekar, who has been working against child abuse for several years, the accused in this case are minors and therefore they are likely to be kept in the correctional home. If they are found guilty, at the most they would kept in the home for a maximum period of three years to undergo counselling, supervision and getting them to integrate into society. “The idea is not to label them as criminals,” she says.

But they are criminals! Do you think for one minute that these boys didn't know the worst that would befall them through India's justice system? 3 years in a correctional home might be an improvement for some kids; it's certainly not a deterrent. The girl's life has been shattered; she may never fully recover from this evil done to her, so why should the rapists be treated so gently. They'll be taught a trade and when released they will be financed in the start-up of a business or career. Will the girl get those kinds of privileges? I think not.

However, several of India’s lawmakers want changes to laws so as to allow children accused of crimes such as rape to be tried and punishable as adults but activists believe this would violate child rights and would not stem sex crimes.

There could be multiple reasons why children get caught in such crimes, says Punekar. “One of them is the aggressive consumerism that you see on every front. This could be reflected in their behaviour, too, through aggressive sex.”

And one of them is the easy availability of pornography which dehumanizes women and girls into just sexual objects for the pleasure of men and boys.

Delhi government submits rehabilitation plan for juvenile convict in 2012 gang rape

New Delhi: Delhi government on Friday said that they have submitted a rehabilitation plan for the juvenile convict in December 16, 2012 gangrape case, who is all set to walk free on Sunday.

The government said that as per the plan a one-time financial grant of Rs 10,000 (around Dh 550) will be given to the youth and a sewing machine will be arranged for him so that he can rent a tailor shop.

"Government has already submitted its report in the court on the rehabilitation of the juvenile convict who has turned 20-year-old now," said a senior government official.

The official noted that the government will act as per the existing Juvenile Justice Act.

In its report, Delhi government said that the juvenile needs help to sustain a business for an initial period of at least six months and meet the expenses such as renting a shop and procuring tailoring material.

The convict in the brutal December 16, 2012 gangrape-cum-murder case will walk free on December 20 after spending three years in the probation home with the Delhi High Court on Friday refusing to stay his release.

Meanwhile, the release of the youth was widely criticised by the parents of the victim and various other bodies, saying he must be kept in observation home until his reformation was ascertained.

Lord Janner Dead: Former Peer Found Unfit to Stand Trial for Alleged Child Sex Abuse

Greville Janner, the former Labour peer, has died aged 87.

His family confirmed his death on Saturday. He was suffering from severe dementia. 

"Lord Janner died peacefully on Saturday, 19 December after a long illness,” the family said in a statement. "He will be deeply missed."

A High Court judge ruled Lord Janner was "unfit to plead" over a series of child sex abuse charges dating back 50 years earlier in December and a 'trial of the facts' was scheduled to take place in April.

Mr Justice Openshaw said in his ruling: “The defendant has advanced and disabling dementia which is deteriorating and irreversible and I find he is unfit to plead and stand trial on his indictment.”

The former Labour MP for Leicester West was accused of 22 sexual offences dating back to the 1960s against nine alleged victims, the majority of whom were 16 or under at the time.

Lord Janner was made a life peer upon his retirement in 1997 after serving as a Labour MP for 20 years. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2009 and suspended from the Labour party in April.

His family said he was "entirely innocent of any wrongdoing" in response to the allegations.

His many alleged victims will not agree with his family's assessment of Janner. They may also feel cheated out of their day in court to air the alleged abuse suffered at his hands. But Mr Janner still has to stand before God in judgment; his guilt or innocence will be made known and recompensed at that time.

Lord Janner was an outspoken MP and prominent campaigner for Jewish organisations. Sir Mick Davis, chairman of the Jewish Leadership Council, said: “The passing of Greville Janner marks the end of an era for the Jewish community.

”Our thoughts and prayers are with the Janner family at this most difficult time.“

A family spokesperson asked that their privacy during mourning be respected.

A young Yazidi woman has revealed the horrific torture and rape that she suffered at the hands of ISIS fighters, as she was held as a sex slave for three months.

Nadia Murad Basee Taha described her nightmare imprisonment before the United Nations Security Council, pleading with it to wipe out the terror group.

The 21-year-old described the persecution the Yazidi people face under ISIS, which trades women and children from the minority population as ‘war booty’.

‘Rape was used to destroy women and girls and to guarantee that these women could never lead a normal life again,’ she said, visibly shaking with the effort of recounting her story.

Nadia described to the 15-member council how she was snatched from her village in Iraq by ISIS fighters in August last year.

She was then taken by bus to a building in the ISIS stronghold of Mosul. ‘Along the way, they humiliated us. They touched us and violated us,’ she continued.

‘They took us to Mosul with more than 150 other Yazidi families. In a building, there were thousands of Yazidi families and children who were exchanged as gifts.

She continued: ‘I cried. I cried out, I said “I’m too young and you’re huge”. He hit me. He kicked me and beat me.

‘And a few minutes later, another man came up to me. I still was looking at the floor.

‘I saw that he was a little bit smaller. I begged him. I implored him for him to take me. I was incredibly scared of the first man.

The UN has branded ISIS’s treatment of the Yazidi people a possible genocide, after the terror group launched a campaign of murder, rape, abuse and torture against the population.

It has urged the UN Security Council to refer the issue to the International Criminal Court for prosecution.

Nadia continued: ‘That night he beat me. He asked me to take my clothes off. He put me in a room with the guards and then they proceeded to commit their crime until I fainted.

‘I implore you, get rid of Daesh [ISIS] completely.’

Nadia was able to escape after three months of the torture, and is now living in Germany, but several of her brothers were killed by ISIS militants.

The UN council’s first meeting on human trafficking comes just the day after it released a statement deploring people trafficking by ISIS and other groups such as Boko Haram.

It warned that ‘certain acts associated with trafficking in persons in the context of armed conflict may constitute war crimes’.

Rotherham Child Sex Abuse Trial: 'Police Officer was Having Sex with Girls'

A POLICE officer - who was told of the sexual abuse of children in Rotherham by an alleged victim - was also having sex with young girls, a court has heard.

The witness, giving evidence at Sheffield Crown Court today, said she told the officer - who she named as Det Con Kenneth Dawes - about the abuse.

She also claimed DC Dawes would have sex with the girls and pass drugs on to "Ash."

The woman (36) said: "He (DC Dawes) wrote it down in a book and said he would get back to me, but never did."

Michelle Colborne QC, prosecuting, asked how the woman knew DC Dawes.

She answered: "He used to come to the houses where we were.

"He used to have sex with girls and he used to take drugs from people and pass them on to Ash."

The woman did not clarify which Ash she was referring to.

The complainant is the third alleged victim of the abuse to give evidence.

The jury has heard over the past three days that the woman was allegedly raped, sexually assaulted and beaten up by Arshid Hussain and his co-defendants Sajid and Majid Bostan and Qurban Ali.

The woman said the abuse began when she was 11 and put into care. She said it lasted until she was in her 20s when she became pregnant after Sajid and Arshid raped her.

She has also told the court Karen MacGregor and Shelley Davies forced her into sex 'to pay her way' when she lived at MacGregor's Rawmarsh home.

The jury will hear this afternoon from the fourth alleged victim.

All defendants deny all the charges against them. The trial continues.

NYPD Cop Busted for Alleged Child Sex Abuse

SUNSET PARK, Brooklyn — A NYPD cop has been arrested on suspicion of molesting a girl over the course of three years, Pix11 reported today.

33-year-old Jacob Sabbagh allegedly began molesting the girl in June 2005 when she was 10 years old. The alleged abuse ceased in March 2008.

The girl reported the alleged assaults in 2011 when she was 16 years old. Police have been investigating the case ever since.

Seriously? It took 4 years to investigate? Obviously no-one's doing 'speed' in the NYPD.

Sabbagh allegedly touched the girl’s breasts, vagina and buttocks and raped her. He was arraigned Wednesday afternoon and reportedly released on his own recognizance.

Sabbagh was charged with one count of course of sexual conduct against a child in the second degree, one count of sexual abuse in the second degree, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Maryland day care owner charged with child sex abuse

A Carroll County grand jury has indicted a Mount Airy man in connection with sexually abusing a young girl.

MOUNT AIRY, Md. Officials said Leo Ellis Parker, 73, of Mount Airy, was arrested Friday by members of the Carroll County Advocacy and Investigation Center.

Parker owns and operates an in-home licensed day care named "Parker Daycare" with his wife, Josephine Parker, which has been in operation for about 40 years.

Police charging documents allege that Parker sexually abused two girls, ages 4 and 6, who were attending the day care this year. The allegations include Parker sexually touching both girls as well as Parker having them sexually touch him.

Additionally, the victims disclosed that Parker showed them pornographic materials while attending the day care.

Parker was charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of continuing course of conduct with a child. Sexual abuse of a minor carries a maximum penalty of 25 years of incarceration and continuing course of conduct with a child carries a maximum sentence of 30 years of incarceration.

The investigation is still continuing. Officials said there is evidence to believe there are potentially more victims.

"We are asking anyone with information, or who may have had children attending the day care, to assist us in identifying and locating any additional victims," State’s Attorney Brian DeLeonardo said.

SYKESVILLE, Md. —A Carroll County grand jury has indicted a Sykesville man in connection with sexually abusing a young girl.

John Bize, 58, was arrested Friday by members of the Carroll County Advocacy and Investigation Center, Carroll County State's Attorney's Office said.

A grand jury on Thursday indicted Bize on allegations that he sexually abused a girl, between the ages of 12 and 16 years of age.

The allegations include Bize sexually touching the girl and watching her while she was changing clothes and showering.

Bize was charged with one count of sexual abuse of a minor and one count of continuing course of conduct with a child, sexual abuse of a minor carries a maximum penalty of 25 years of incarceration, while continuing course of conduct with a child carries a maximum sentence 30 years of incarceration.


This investigation was a combined effort of members of the Carroll County Advocacy and Investigation Center, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the Maryland State Police, Office of Child Care Services and Child Protective Services.

Oklahoma couple arrested for child sex abuse

TULSA — Tulsa Sex Crimes detectives arrested two people late Tuesday night for the sexual abuse of an 8-year-old girl.

An arrest report for 43-year-old Gloria Tiger says someone gave police an SD card that contained video of Tiger and 41-year-old Ahmad Jenkins engaged in sex acts with the girl.

Police arrested Tiger who admitted to the abuse in the video and identified Jenkins.


The report says she told investigators that Jenkins recorded the abuse on his cell phone while they were at a motel in north Tulsa.

She also indicated that the abuse had happened one separate time about a month or two earlier at her home, according to the report.

Police also arrested Jenkins.


Both were booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of child sex abuse and were each being held on $50,000 bond.

Former magic shop owner found guilty in child sex abuse case

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico — A jury will be picked today in a second case of alleged child sexual abuse dating back to 1999 by a onetime Nob Hill juggling and magic shop owner.

The defendant, Neil Stammer, was convicted Thursday in his first trial, of four felonies stemming from the alleged rape of a Jefferson Middle School seventh-grader, who is now 29 and living on the East Coast.

The first jury was selected late Monday, heard testimony including descriptions from the victim and his father on Tuesday, deliberated Wednesday and returned its verdict Thursday morning.

Stammer, 48, was convicted of two counts of criminal sexual penetration of a child under 13 years old and two counts of kidnapping. All four counts carry mandatory 18-year sentences, although it would be served under an old version of the law that permits inmates to earn up to 50 percent good time.

Second Judicial District Judge Stan Whitaker said he would defer sentencing until the second case is resolved. He decided in earlier proceedings to separate the two sets of charges, finding that Stammer would be substantially prejudiced if the charges involving both boys were tried together.

The delay in trial resulted from complications with Stammer’s original charges in May 1999, which led District Judge James Blackmer to dismiss the indictment in April 2000. The case was reindicted in April 2000, nearly a year after he was initially arrested. When Stammer failed to show up for his arraignment the next month, the FBI filed a federal fugitive warrant.

Stammer had closed his business and left Albuquerque in the interim.

Russ Wilson, an FBI agent who worked as fugitive coordinator in the Albuquerque office, put out a new wanted poster for Stammer in January 2014. Then an agent with the Diplomatic Security Services, part of the State Department, used facial recognition software designed to pick up passport fraud, and Stammer – using a different name – came up.

Stammer had been living in Nepal and teaching English and other languages.

According to the FBI website, he was believed to speak about a dozen languages at the time he disappeared.

Archdiocese, County Attorney Reach Settlement in Child Sex Abuse Case

Civil charges against the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis will be stayed under a settlement agreement, which requires the church to implement new policies that protect children.

The settlement, filed in court Friday morning, was reached between the archdiocese and the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office, which brought criminal and civil charges against the church in June related to a sex abuse case. (Read the full agreement here.)

At a press conference Friday morning, Ramsey County Attorney John Choi called the settlement “groundbreaking,” saying it “ensures systemic change, and creates a framework of accountability” that increases oversight and transparency of the archdiocese.

It means a “cultural shift” in how the church will protect children and respond to sex abuse allegations going forward, Choi said.

Archbishop Bernard Hebda, in a statement, said the church has been working toward one goal since he came on: “to make sure children are safe in our churches, schools and communities.”

“Let me assure you, much of what is in the new document are things we are already doing, while others are practices and procedures that are already working in some dioceses around the country,” the letter says. “We are agreeing to implement the plan under a set deadline and to be held accountable for that commitment.”

The settlement still has to be approved by bankruptcy court.

The agreement, some of which Choi details in a news release, includes a number of changes to who gets notified when a priest is suspected of sexually abusing a child, as well as who gets a say in the follow-up.

Broadly, Choi said, it decentralizes the decision-making – instead of one or two church leaders deciding the next steps, all suspected cases will have to go before numerous people, including the Ministerial Review Board. The board, according to an archdiocese announcement earlier this year, must be made up mostly of people who aren’t members of the archdiocese.

The criminal case against the archdiocese is separate from the civil settlement, and is ongoing, Choi said, though also noted it is moving toward a resolution.

Choi also said the agreement reached was more detailed and wide-reaching than any ruling could have been if the civil case had been resolved in the courts.

“Whether it was by conviction or a verdict on the civil case, if we were to have prevailed, what the judge could have ordered as it relates to what the statute allows, or what criminal procedure allows, could never have been what is in this agreement.”

Hebda said a number of boards and high-ranking members of the archdiocese “agreed that this [settlement agreement] is the right thing to do to provide safe environments.”

The archdiocese will be subject to two independent audits over the next three years, which the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office will see the results of to make sure the archdiocese is following through on its promises agreed in the settlement, Choi said.

If the attorney’s office feels the archdiocese isn’t complying, it can put the church on notice – and if things continue to not be fixed, the case will go back back to the court system

Honour Killing: 2 Year Old Raped by Grandfather; Murdered by Mother

A Muslim mother awoke one night to her screaming toddler being brutally raped by the child’s grandfather. In a sickening effort to preserve family honor, the mother decided that there was only one thing to do that would save them from “scandal” in their town.

Emirates 24|7 reports that after 23-year-old Merfat had put her child down for the night, she retired to her bedroom in the house she shared with her 59-year-old father, Faraj, in Sohag, Egypt. However, she soon awoke to the cries of her little girl, coming from her father’s room.

Merfat opened the door to find her daughter, 2-year-old Grace Ahmed, being violently raped by Faraj, the child’s own grandfather.

Instead of attacking her daughter’s rapist and saving her child, Merfat ran some bath water in a small tub, undressed the girl, and placed her terrified, bleeding baby inside. At the hands of her own mother, little Grace was held underwater until she drowned.

According to Merfat, she murdered her own daughter to “avoid scandal” in the overwhelmingly Muslim town.

Chief Detective Ali Akhmim told Karama Press that the medical examiner found “traces of blood” in the child’s anus, revealing that the little girl suffered immensely before her death.

Police arrested Merfat and Farah, and charged them with murder and rape respectively.

Murdering the victims of rape is nothing new under Islam. In fact, honor killings and punishment under Sharia law are so common that rape is rarely reported in strict Islamic countries.

Under Sharia law, if a woman accuses a man of rape, she must produce four male witnesses to testify on her behalf. If she cannot, she is either lashed or put to death for extra-marital sex.

Because of this medieval Islamic law required by the prophet Muhammad, woman and children suffer sexual abuse in silence, fearing that their family will disown or murder them.

Mad World News recently reported that Muslim women and children are often given virginity tests upon marriage. If they are found to be “defiled,” the bride is in danger of several severe punishments.

“In some cases, a bride’s ears and nose are cut off,” she explained. “They are forced into dirty clothes and taken back to her parent’s home. Their heads are shaved. The bride’s family is told that she is not a virgin. Other times, a bride is simply killed and her body is returned to her parents.”

Over 90 percent of honor killings worldwide are committed by Muslims, and over half of all Muslims surveyed by Pew Research agreed that honor killing over sex was justified.

Even more terrifying is that at least 1 in 10 Muslims in the UK support killing family members over “dishonor,” and 1 in 3 believe that a wife should be forced to unquestionably submit to their husbands.

Leftists love to purport that those opposed to Islam hate Muslims, yet they do not speak out for the victims of Islamic fundamentalists. These women and children are often the victims of their own backwards ideology, and the only ones speaking out in their defense are those opposing Islamic doctrine and law.

It is sickening that the left demands support and respect for this inhumane ideology, which requires adherence to its equally brutal legislation. Truly, liberals are the defenders of the abusers, and until they denounce this evil governance, their political correctness will continue to silence the abused.

Saudi Millionaire Acquitted of Rape After Claiming He Tripped & Fell on Teen

A Saudi millionaire who claims he accidentally fell on and penetrated an 18-year-old woman in Britain has been cleared of one count of rape.

Ehsan Abdulaziz, 46, was accused of raping the woman as she slept on his sofa after bringing her and her 24-year-old friend home from a London nightclub, the Telegraph reports.

The woman was with her friend, who was known to Abdulaziz, at the Cirque le Soir nightclub on Aug. 7, 2014. After inviting both to join him at his CA$2,000-a-night table, the millionaire brought the two women back to his home.

The court heard Abdulaziz gave the two women vodka to drink before leading the 24-year-old woman to another room to have sex. When the 18-year-old awoke the next morning, she told the court Abdulaziz was on top of her and raping her.

Abdulaziz said he accidentally fell on the 18-year-old woman after she seduced him. He said she pulled him toward her and placed his hand between her legs. He claimed he was only trying to offer her something to wear or a taxi ride home.

“I’m fragile,” he said. “I fell down but nothing ever happened, between me and this girl nothing ever happened.”

His DNA was found inside the 18-year-old girl and he claims he could have had semen on his hands after having sex with her 24-year-old friend.

Prosecutor Jonathan Davies accused Abdulaziz of changing his story after being confronted with the DNA evidence.

“On this occasion he said after he had sex with the complainant’s friend his penis was still erect and he had semen on his hands when he went into the living room,” Davies said.

“He said in the second interview she pushed his hands down on to her vagina. He said that he did fall onto her and his penis may have penetrated her vagina. You may consider, members of the jury, him changing the account he was giving.”

A jury acquitted Abdulaziz after only 30 minutes of deliberations.

The inconsistencies in Abdulaziz's story, or stories, make it obvious that he was not entirely forth-coming. Suggesting he 'accidentally' fell on her, after she pulled him down on top of her is at least very awkward. When someone pulls you down, you don't fall 'accidentally'.

He first said that the semen came from his hands, then he admitted that he may have penetrated her with his penis when he fell. I suppose that's a first ever event. But if the semen came from his penis, then there was more than an accidental, momentary penetration. 

So, I am inclined to believe that he should have been found guilty, but am perplexed as to why it took only a half hour for the jury to acquit him. Is this a case a the rich getting preferential treatment in court, or is there much  more to this story than has been presented here?
