New Delhi: The recently released blockbuster ‘The Kerala Story’ by Vipul Amrutlal Shah has been garnering love and attention from all around the globe. While the film broke several records, and won the hearts of the audience, many are against the plotline of the film and we have witnessed several developments around it since the time the film has been released. In a recent occurrence, Vipul Amrutal has increased security as a threat. A theatre franchise from Mauritius sent him an attachment which reads MCine (theatre) containing the threat of bombs being planted at the theatre due to the playing of the movie ‘The Kerala Story’.

The letter read “Sir / Madam: Mcine will be destroyed tomorrow as we are planting some bombs in your bloody cinema, you want to see cinema, oK tomorrow you will see a very good cinema. Mark our words, Tomorrow Friday. Planting Bombs for The Kerala Story in Mcine”.

Vipul Amrutlal Shah's ‘The Kerala Story’ has grabbed front stage since its theatrical debut. While successfully leaving an impression on the hearts of the audience, the film is also grossing well and building a name for itself on a global basis. While 'The Kerala Story' has crossed the 200 crore net mark at the Indian box office, the film is still reaching audiences across the country.

India: Muslim murders 16-y/o Hindu girl on busy street in Delhi

MAY 30, 2023 1:00 PM

Caution - Disturbing content

On Monday morning in India, a disturbing video surfaced online and held the nation spellbound for hours. In CCTV camera footage, a man could be seen stabbing a girl repeatedly, picking up a boulder and smashing her face until he ensures that she is dead. The accused stabbed the girl 20 times with a sharp knife; at one point, the blade got stuck into her skull. Not one person in the capital city of the world’s most populous country could stop this enraged man, who committed this barbaric act in the middle of a busy lane.

The blood-curdling act took place on the night of Sunday, May 28, in Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area. The victim was a 16-year-old Hindu minor, Sakshi, while the accused was a 20-year-old Muslim man, Sahil. Is it necessary to highlight the religions of the people involved in this crime? Yes, absolutely, and we will explain why.

Reports suggest that the two were in a “relationship.” They fought on the evening of the incident, which ended with this chilling crime committed in full public view. Police arrested the accused from Bulandshahr in the adjoining state of Uttar Pradesh.

The accused wore a kalawa (a sacred thread worn by Hindus) on his wrist and a rudraksha necklace (again, a Hindu accessory). When the news broke, media reports only carried the man’s first name, Sahil, a name in India that does not make one’s religion clear. It was not before evening that the full name and identity of the accused were made public and included in the media reports. Even the Chief Minister of the national capital avoided referencing the accused’s identity in his tweet. Clearly, the accused had tried to present himself as a Hindu, and the “secular” institutions of the country tried their best to hide his religious affiliation.

A popular narrative about India’s current social and political situation is that Muslims are being victimized in this majoritarian state. Had there been an ounce of truth in these sinister claims, would a Muslim man have the nerve to kill a Hindu minor girl in the middle of a busy street?

For 75 years, the Indian government has handled the Muslim community with kid gloves in secular India. Politicians have showered them with rights and perks no other minorities got. This leniency eventually led to the rise of Islamic jihadists and supremacists in the country.

These fanatical Muslims know that they can get away with any crime, and that a brigade of apologists for Islam disguised as intellectuals will stand up in their defense. These “intellectuals” present themselves as journalists, columnists promulgating fake narratives of Muslim victimhood in India on international platforms, radio jockeys, actors, writers, historians, and even judiciary members. Politicians throw themselves at their feet because they vote as a bloc, unlike the fragmented Hindu community.

Indian politicians have awarded Mohammad Afroz, one of the most brutal rapists in India’s history, with cash, sewing machines and a new identity so that he can start a new life. This rapist killed his victim by inserting a rod in his victim’s genitals and pulling out her intestines. Today, he works as a cook in some households, perhaps with young girls.

In 2022, a Supreme Court judge cancelled the death sentence of Mohhamad Firoz, who had been convicted of rape and murder. The high court scrapped the 2014 judgment passed by the Madhya Pradesh High Court, quoting British novelist Oscar Wilde’s axiom, “every sinner has a future.” Firoz was convicted for the rape and murder of a four-year-old girl. What future could he have, and how safe would his existence make the future of an average Indian child playing at a park?

Every sinner has a future, but that future may be an eternity in Hell along with the fools who enabled him.

In November 2022, Delhi police arrested 28-year-old Aftab Amin Poonawallah for the gruesome murder of his Hindu live-in partner, Shraddha Walker. Aftab had allegedly killed her in May, chopped her into pieces and stored her in his refrigerator for months. When this story broke, the usual apologists rushed to contradict his religious affiliation by claiming he was a Parsi. These claims didn’t last long, as during the polygraph test, the accused confessed: “No regret even if hanged, will get hoors in Jannat.”

Jannat refers to Heaven. This fool thinks he will go to Heaven, and thinks there are whores in Heaven waiting for him. There are whores in Heaven who have repented of their sins, Mary Magdelen, for instance. But they are no longer acting in their former capacity. Aftab needs to know that it is not Mohammed who will decide whether he goes to Heaven or Hell, it is Jesus Christ, and Him alone. And when Aftab gets to Hell, he may find some whores still active, but he will not enjoy them in the place where 'the worm never dies'. I can't think of a more appropriate torture.

Accused in the recent case, Sahil Khan also admits that he has “No regrets.” These cold-blooded jihadis have perfected the art of slaughter and never have any regret for the monstrous crimes they commit. Between the murder of Shraddha in May 2022 and Sakshi in May 2023, there have been numerous other killings of Hindu girls at the hands of their Muslim friends, lover or husband. Some make it to the headlines; others are shoved under the rug so as to protect those who share the religious affiliations of these murderers.

When one tries to discuss these incidents, term them “Love Jihad,” make informative movies to educate young girls, the Islamic lobby in India leaps to dismiss their efforts as propaganda against the ever-so-hapless Indian minority. They work to further this narrative tirelessly, until the next Hindu girl is found lying dead in a pool of her own blood on a random Indian street.

The Neglected Root of the Catholic Church Sex-Abuse Scandal

I've been wanting to say this for a long time but I'm not articulate enough to do so. I'm glad Mr. Lawler is.
By Phil Lawler

Two new episodes in the festering sex-abuse scandal have called attention to a facet of the problem that has long been understood (at least by some analysts), but routinely neglected if not actively suppressed: the connection between sexual abuse of young people and a widespread homosexual culture among the clergy.

Cardinal Theodore McCarrick has been removed from ministry because of one credible report of misconduct involving a teenage boy. But the Newark archdiocese confirmed that in the past, two other complaints against the cardinal had been resolved by out-of-court settlements. And the news of his suspension brought out dozens of reports about his inappropriate behavior with seminarians: young men who were presumably legal adults.

From Rome came the report that a former Vatican diplomat, recently stationed in Washington, DC, had been found guilty on charges of child pornography. The “children” in this case were teenagers.

Which priests sharing pornography? What disciplinary action, if any, has been taken regarding the priests involved in the infamous “St. Sebastian’s Angels” network? Who were the prelates who protected Cardinal McCarrick? Isn’t it time—in fact, isn’t it long past time—to acknowledge the corrosive power of the homosexual network in the Church?

These are not new questions. They are questions that I raised ten years ago, in my book The Faithful Departed. (I don’t mean to imply that I was alone in raising them; there were certainly others.) As a reminder—and for the benefit of those who may have missed this argument the first time around—here are a few excerpts from Chapter 17 of that book, entitled “The Wrong Explanations.”

The crisis that has stricken the Catholic Church in America is often described as a pedophilia scandal. That characterization is not accurate.

Pedophilia—a profound psychological disorder involving the sexual desire for young, pre-pubescent children—is fortunately rare. A few of the most notorious American clerics involved in the scandal, such as James Porter and John Geoghan, might be accurately classified as pedophiles. Because they molested scores of children, and because their cases came to prominence in the early days of the crisis, these deeply disturbed men were taken as emblematic of the larger problem in the American priesthood. But they were not typical.

Among the thousands of complaints lodged against American priests during the early years of the twenty-first century, the vast majority involved sexual relations with teenage boys. In some cases, to some extent, the boys may have appeared to be willing partners in the sexual activity. Since the teenagers had not reached the age of consent, and since the priests were exploiting their positions of authority and trust, the relationships were certainly abusive. But they cannot be classified as instances of pedophilia.

In a thorough study of sex-abuse complaints that was commissioned by the USCCB, the John Jay College of Criminal Justice issued a sweeping report in 2004 that covered more than 5,000 incidents. Of these, 81 percent involved priests with young male victims. Of those male victims, 90 percent were teenage boys.

Faced with that statistic, some analysts began to say that what had been seen as a crisis of pedophilia was really a matter of ephebophilia. (The term “ephebophilia”—which does not appear in standard diagnostic manuals for psychologists—refers to sexual attraction toward adolescents.)

Pederasty might be a better word.

Some commentators took comfort in using this new term. Other less pretentious observers concluded that the statistics proved what many Catholics had long suspected: the sex-abuse crisis was a crisis of homosexuality in the priesthood.

For several years Catholic scholars had been debating whether or not homosexuals should be ordained to the priesthood. A 1961 Vatican document addressed to the superiors of religious orders had said that men with a known homosexual inclination should not be admitted to seminary training. (That policy, which had fallen into desuetude (disuse, like that word), was reaffirmed by the Vatican and applied to all candidates for the priesthood in a new teaching document of 2005.) But many liberal Catholics argued that a homosexual who maintained a celibate lifestyle could be a fine priest. “Unless proven otherwise, there is no reason to believe that homosexual priests are any less likely to keep their promises of celibacy than heterosexual ones,” wrote Father James Martin, a Jesuit journalist, in a November 2000 article in America magazine. That argument was central to the case in favor of ordaining men with homosexual impulses.

Even if homosexual priests are no more likely than heterosexuals to violate their vows, however, it stands to reason that if and when they do engage in sexual activity, their partners are more likely to be male. Thus the sex-abuse scandal had serious implications for the debate on homosexuality. Yet the National Review Board, in its first major report on the crisis, did not shrink from the obvious conclusion. “That 815 of the reported victims of sexual abuse by Catholic clergy were boys shows that the crisis was characterized by homosexual behavior.”

If gay priests are no more likely to break their vows than straight priests, then the fact that 90% of priest's victims are male must mean that 90% of priests are gay. Does that make sense to anyone but me? It's either that or gay priests are far and away more likely to break their vows. Or, perhaps they cross their fingers when they say them. Or, perhaps they don't even really believe in God to begin with.

…..

Vatican officials had been alert to the question of homosexuality from the earliest days of the scandal. When Pope John Paul II summoned the leaders of the American hierarchy to Rome in April 2002, one of the key points on the agenda for discussion was the influence of a homosexual culture in the American seminaries. The joint statement released by the participating bishops at the end of that Vatican meeting also called for new emphasis on the moral teachings of the Church regarding sexuality, a message that could be read as a mandate for the American hierarchy to be more forceful in condemning homosexual behavior. But as we have observed, that aspect of the discussion in Rome was quietly dropped from the bishops’ agenda before the Dallas meeting.

In Dallas the USCCB concentrated exclusively on the sexual abuse of minors. The final document produced at that meeting was awkwardly entitled a Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People in a tacit acknowledgement that the victims of abuse could not all be classified as “children.” The Dallas norms set out disciplinary standards for priests who were involved in any sexual relationship with people, male or female, under the age of eighteen. But the bishops did not discuss, and the norms do not address, sexual misconduct by priests involving partners over the age of consent. When a priest pursues a sexual relationship with a psychologically vulnerable parishioner, he is guilty of abuse, even if that parishioner is an adult. And a priest who engages in consensual sexual contact with another man is guilty of grave misconduct, even if it is not abusive. But in Dallas the US bishops did not consider these sorts of clerical misbehavior; the scope of their attention was restricted exclusively to the abuse of “children and young people.”

I'm not sure I like the word 'misconduct', as used by Mr. Lawler here. It is flat out sin! So is a priest who has taken a vow of celibacy who has consensual sex with a women. Those vows are made before God and He expects us to keep them. Sex with a woman is an affront to God. Sex with a man is an abomination as God has said many, many times. It's disturbing how little concerned the Vatican seems to be with this. It's disturbing how many articles like this I have read regarding priest's sexual abuse and Bishops covering them up, and never see God's name mentioned or even referred to obliquely. There are a lot of ordained Catholics who will be extremely uncomfortable when they stand before Jesus Christ.

Shocking, Even Frightening Events in the Troublesome World of Roman Catholicism

All 34 Catholic bishops resign over
Chile child abuse scandal
The Santiago Times

SANTIAGO – All of Chile’s 34 Roman Catholic bishops announced their resignation Friday in the wake of a child sex scandal and cover-up in Chile.

“We, all the bishops present in Rome, have tendered our resignation to the Holy Father so that he may decide freely for each of us,” the bishops said in a statement after three days of intense meetings with Pope Francis at the Vatican.

“We want to ask forgiveness for the pain caused to the victims, to the Pope, to God’s people and to our country for the grave errors and omissions we have committed,” the statement continued.

Never a confession of sin toward God!!!??? Assuming God will forgive you because you are a Catholic Bishop may very well be presuming too much. In Matthew's description of the Judgment, Jesus states that whatever we did to the least person, we did to Him, and also, whatever we didn't do to the least person, we didn't do to Him. Bishops failed to protect God's children and even enabled ravenous wolves to tare them apart. I don't hold much hope for your salvation!

In announcing their willingness to resign, the Chilean bishops said that they had offered freely to step down and had left their future status “in the hands of the Holy Father,” allowing the Pope to decide which bishops should be removed. The bishops thanked the Pope for his “fraternal correction” and offered their apologies to the victims of sexual abuse.

It was not immediately clear whether the pope had accepted all or any of the resignations.

Fire them all! And vette their replacement very carefully.

The unprecedented mass resignation follows a series of events that caused mounting tensions within the Church in Chile: the 2011 conviction of Father Fernando Karadima, a highly influential priest, on abuse charges; the Pope’s 2015 decision to promote Bishop Juan Barros, a prelate with close ties to Karadima; and the Pope’s own public statements that criticism of Bishop Barros was based only on “unfounded allegations of leftists.”

The controversy reached a peak in January, when the Pontiff visited Chile, and responded to questions by saying that he had never received evidence of wrongdoing or negligence by Bishop Barros. That public statement by the Pope was called into question when one of Karadima’s victims revealed that he had sent a letter to Pope Francis, explaining the bishop’s negligence; the letter was reportedly hand-delivered by Cardinal Sean O’Malley.

In answer to increasingly urgent questions, Pope Francis commissioned Archbishop Charles Scicluna, formerly the Vatican’s top sex-abuse prosecutor, to investigate the situation in Chile. After receiving a lengthy report from Archbishop Scicluna, the Pope issued an emotional apology for his handling of the matter, acknowledging “serious mistakes.” He then arranged personal meetings with some Chilean sex-abuse victims, and summoned the Chilean bishops to Rome for a thorough discussion.

In a letter made public at the conclusion of this week’s three-day meeting, the Pope urged them to return home with a new commitment to build a “prophetic Church, capable of putting at the center what’s important: the service to her Lord in the hungry, the imprisoned, the migrant, the abused.”

But in a confidential 10-page document leaked Friday by Chilean TV channel T13, the Argentine pope used much stronger language to denounce the “absolutely reprehensible things that have happened in the Chilean Church,” citing not only sexual abuse but “unacceptable abuses of power” and a loss of “prophetic vigor.”

The damning letter also outlines findings of an investigation, ordered by Pope Francis, into the abuse allegations.

In this longer letter the Pope revealed that Archbishop Scicluna’s report had uncovered clear evidence of “grave negligence” among the Chilean bishops, as well as evidence that some bishops had covered up abuse and put pressure on Church officials to do the same.

“No one can exempt himself and place the problem on the shoulders of the others,” the Pope wrote. “We need a change,” he said. While acknowledging that the removal of some bishops would be a positive step, he wrote: “I insist, it’s not enough.”

The dramatic resignation by the entire Chilean hierarchy leaves Pope Francis in a position to write his own conclusion to the story. The most urgent question, clearly, is which resignations the Holy Father will choose to accept, and which Chilean bishops will be allowed to continue in ministry.

The mass resignation of an entire delegation of bishops is almost unheard of, having last happened two centuries ago.

Bishops have, however, previously been summoned to the Vatican over abuse scandals.

In April 2002, Pope John Paul II summoned 13 American cardinals and bishops to Rome after a huge paedophilia scandal within the clergy. Following another abuse scandal in Ireland in 2009, Pope Benedict XVI also organised a meeting of Irish prelates at the Vatican in February 2010.

Quick and dirty rundown of sex abuse
within the Catholic church
By Agence France-Presse

All of Chile’s bishops offered to resign Friday over child sex cover-up claims dating back decades, the latest in a series of abuse scandals facing the Catholic Church globally.

Here is a rundown of other notable cases:

 Australia

The third-highest member of the Vatican hierarchy, Australian George Pell was ordered in May to stand trial on “multiple” historical sex charges, which he denies.

His case coincided with an Australian public enquiry that found that seven percent of priests were accused of paedophilic acts between 1950 and 2010.

In some orders the rate of Paedophilia was conservatively estimated at about 40%.

Austria

Two scandals forced the Vatican to revoke two high-ranking ultra-conservative clerics, Viennese Archbishop Hans Hermann Groer in 1995 and the bishop of Sankt-Poelten, Kurt Krenn, in 2004.

Belgium

In 2010 the bishop of Bruges, Roger Vangheluwe, resigned after acknowledging sex abuse of two nephews. Since 2012 the Catholic Church in Belgium has received hundreds of complaints and paid almost 4.13 million euros ($4.8 million) in compensation.

 Canada

In the late 1980s, a huge scandal broke out regarding the mistreatment of children at Mount Cashel, an orphanage in Newfoundland in the 1950s-1960s.

Chile

Some 80 members of the Chilean clergy have been implicated in a series of sex abuse affairs over the past few years.

Pope Francis caused outrage during a visit in January by appearing to support a bishop accused of covering up for paedophile priest Fernando Karadima during the 1980s and 1990s. This is the case over which the 34 Chilean bishops presented their resignations Friday.

France

Cardinal Philippe Barbarin and six others will face trial in January 2019 for allegedly covering up for a priest, Bernard Preynat, accused of abusing around 70 scouts in the 1980s.

Germany

Since 2010 hundreds of cases of sex abuse against children or adolescents in religious institutions have emerged. The most high-profile involve the Jesuit-run Canisius college in Berlin and the choir in Ratisbonne, southern Germany, where at least 547 children were allegedly victims of abuse, including rapes, between 1945 and 1992.

Ireland

Accusations of child abuse in Catholic institutions date back several decades, with the number of underaged victims estimated at around 14,500. Several bishops and priests accused of committing or covering up the abuse have been punished.

Mexico

Mexican bishop Gonzalo Galvan Castillo was forced to resign in 2015 after being accused of protecting a paedophile priest.

The late founder of the ultraconservative Legion of Christ congregation, Marcial Maciel, was forced to resign in 2006, accused of committing sexual abuses of minors.

The Netherlands

In 2011 a study found that tens of thousands of minors had been sexually abused within the Dutch Catholic Church institutions between 1945 and 2010. Some 800 suspects have been identified.

Poland

In 2013 Pope Francis sacked the Vatican ambassador, to the Dominican Republic, Poland’s Jozef Wesolowski, who was charged with sexually abusing minors. He died in 2015 on the eve of his trial.

United States

Between 1950 and 2013 the US Catholic Church received 17,000 complaints of sexual abuse between 1950 and 1980 involving around 6,400 clerics.

Experts speaking at the Vatican said in 2012 the number of abused American minors is probably close to 100,000.

Among senior church members forced to resign for protecting paedophile priests were the late cardinal Bernard Law in Boston and cardinal Roger Mahony in Los Angeles.

Pope Francis tells gay man: 'God made you like this'
Juan Carlos Cruz, who was sexually abused, says pontiff told him
God did not mind that he was gay

The Pope breaks with thousands of years of of Biblical interpretation and completely contradicts scripture

Stephanie Kirchgaessner in Rome
The Guardian

Juan Carlos Cruz said some of Chile’s bishops had sought to depict him as a pervert as they accused him of lying about abuse.

A survivor of clerical sexual abuse has said Pope Francis told him that God had made him gay and loved him, in arguably the most strikingly accepting comments about homosexuality to be uttered by the leader of the Roman Catholic church.

Juan Carlos Cruz, who spoke privately with the pope two weeks ago about the abuse he suffered at the hands of one of Chile’s most notorious paedophiles, said the issue of his sexuality had arisen because some of the Latin American country’s bishops had sought to depict him as a pervert as they accused him of lying about the abuse.

They called him a pervert but they don't call the priests who made him that way such names.

“He told me, ‘Juan Carlos, that you are gay does not matter. God made you like this and loves you like this and I don’t care. The pope loves you like this. You have to be happy with who you are,’” Cruz told Spanish newspaper El País.

I wonder what the scriptural address of that doctrine is? It's certainly not anything like what I have ever read in the Bible.

Now 87, Fernando Karadima, the man who abused Cruz, was found guilty of abuse by the Vatican in 2011.

Greg Burke, the Vatican’s chief spokesman, did not respond to questions about whether Cruz’s statement accurately reflected his conversation with the pope.

It is not the first time it has been suggested Francis has an open and tolerant attitude toward homosexuality, despite the Catholic church’s teaching that gay sex – and all sex outside of heterosexual marriage – is a sin. In July 2013, in response to a reporter’s question about the existence of an alleged “gay lobby” within the Vatican, Francis said: “Who am I to judge?”

If you don't know the answer to that, Pope, the day will come when you will.

The new remarks appear to go much further in embracing homosexuality as a sexual orientation that is designed and bestowed by God. It suggests that Francis does not believe that individuals choose to be gay or lesbian, as some religious conservatives argue.

As ALL religious conservatives argue!

Austen Ivereigh, who has written a biography of the pope, said Francis had likely made similar comments in private in the past, when he served as a spiritual director to gay people in Buenos Aires, but that Cruz’s public discussion of his conversation with Francis represented the most “forceful” remarks on the subject since 2013.

It did not, however, represent a shift in church teaching, Ivereigh said, since the church had never formally made any pronouncements on why individuals were gay.

Christopher Lamb, the Vatican correspondent for the Tablet, said the comments were remarkable and a sign of a shift in attitudes taking place. “It goes beyond ‘who am I to judge?’ to ‘you are loved by God,’” said Lamb. “I don’t think he has changed church teaching but he’s demonstrating an affirmation of gay Catholics, something that has been missing over the years in Rome.”

But is he not also justifying paedophile priests, since most of them are gay. Is he not taking responsibility for accepting perverts as representatives of the Catholic Church away from the church and placing it squarely on God? I have a feeling God is not very impressed with this. He may even see it as blasphemous.

I have another feeling that the 'End Times' are ever closer as the Vatican is rapidly morphing into the ideology of Sodom.

The remarks come as several high profile members of the clergy have sought to publicly make inroads with gay Catholics, many of whom have felt shunned and unwelcome in the church and have been ostracised.

Father James Martin, a Jesuit priest in New York who has nearly 200,000 Twitter followers, has led the outreach effort and was chosen last month to serve as a consultor to the Vatican’s secretariat for communications.

Martin has argued in his book Building a Bridge that the onus is on the church to make LGBT Catholics feel welcome in the church and to stop discriminating against people based on their “sexual morality”.

And, of course, there is no doubt where The Guardian's sentiments, and morality for that matter, lie.

Irish primate urges No on abortion vote,
says not a ‘Catholic’ issue

LEICESTER, United Kingdom - Ireland can expect “a very liberal abortion regime” if the country votes to repeal its constitutional protections for the unborn child on May 25, according to the Archbishop of Armagh.

Archbishop Eamon Martin, who is Primate of All Ireland, said in a May 19 statement “unborn children in Ireland will have absolutely no constitutional rights” if the country’s Eighth Amendment, which was passed in 1983, is repealed.

Ireland currently has some of the most robust protections for the unborn in the European Union, although most European abortion laws are more restrictive than those in the United States.

If repealed, Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said his government would draft legislation to permit abortion up to 12 weeks of pregnancy, although there would be nothing to prevent the legislature from passing more liberal laws.

“When you go inside the voting booth on 25 May, pause and think of two lives - the life of the mother and the life of her baby - two hearts beating; two lives which are both precious and deserving of compassion and protection,” Martin said, urging voters to reject the proposal.

The archbishop reminded the Irish people the Eighth Amendment recognizes the “equality of life of a mother and her unborn baby,” and said women’s lives “are precious, to be loved, valued and protected.”

But he said babies’ lives are also “precious, to be loved, valued and protected.”

Martin also said abortion is not a Catholic issue, but one of human dignity which is rooted in “reason as well as in faith,” and is a value for people of all faiths and none.

“In recent months we have been reminded about the miracle of life in the womb - how your heart started beating from around week five, or your unique fingerprint began to form only ten to twelve weeks after conception,” the archbishop said.

“That little unborn child who moves her fingers or kicks around in the ultrasound scan is the same baby that will be born and grow further through infancy to adolescence to adulthood to old age - all that is needed for that life to grow, is time, nourishment, love, and a chance to survive,” he continued.

The May 25 referendum comes as the Catholic Church is rapidly losing influence in the once staunchly Catholic country.

Revelations about clerical sexual abuse has left public confidence in the Church at its lowest level in the history of Ireland.

In 2015, Ireland held a referendum on same-sex marriage in which 62 percent of the voters backed changing the constitution to allow the practice.

Pope Francis will visit Ireland Aug. 25-26 for the World Meeting of Families, which is taking place in Dublin.

According to a poll published on May 17 by the Irish Times, 44 per cent of voters said they will vote to repeal the Eighth Amendment, while 32 percent said they will vote No. The Yes vote has declined by 10 points since late April, but the pro-life side still has a lot of ground to cover before May 25.

If you have been reading my blog for awhile you know that I am definitely a feminist at heart. You might know that I am totally, well, almost totally pro-choice in that I believe a woman has a right to choose whether or not to be pregnant. However, I believe, if possible, she must exercise that right before she becomes pregnant not after. There are myriad ways to avoid pregnancy these days, failing to use them then opting for abortion is using abortion as a form of birth-control. That is not acceptable in my eyes and I seriously doubt that God sees it as acceptable.

Glascow High court

A HISTORICAL sex abuse trial at the high court has collapsed after the death of the accused.

Donald Ellingham, 68, of Tay Place, Irvine, was to face eleven charges of sexual abuse.

These were in relation to six alleged victims, aged between four and 16 years old.

He was due to take the stand at the High Court in Glasgow from September 18 next month. However, the High Court confirmed they have received formal notification of the death of the accused.

One of the six accusers taking the stand against him has spoken out online since his death, publishing an audio recording with apparent admissions to the crime.

She also spoke of her despair at now being unable to take the stand against the accused. She also said she was angry there was not closer supervision of the accused while he was waiting trial, following unconfirmed reports that he had taken his own life.

Police Scotland were contacted, but they declined to comment about the case.

At a preliminary hearing at Glasgow High Court in April, Ellingham was faced with charges against him, dating between 1976 and 1998. It was alleged he committed sex acts against a girl, then aged between five and twelve, and induced her to commit acts, on various occasions between February 3, 1976 and February 2, 1983, including at two addresses in Irvine, an address in Paisley, at the Magnum Leisure Centre, in a signal box in Irvine Train Station and in a motor vehicle on journeys around Irvine, Paisley and elsewhere.

He was also accused of abusing the same female, then between the ages of 12 and 16, on various occasions between February 3, 1983 and February 2, 1985 at an address in Irvine, Paisley and the Magnum Leisure Centre.

Ellingham was accused of the assault and attempted rape of the same young female at an occasion between February 3, 1977 and February 2, 1980 at an address in Irvine.

He was also accused of forcing a second female aged 12-16, to commit an act on him, and other indecencies, between December 20, 1977 and December 19, 1982 at two addresses in Irvine, as well as the Beachpark, the Magnum, a signal box at Irvine train station and in a motor vehicle in Irvine and elsewhere.

He faced further sex offences against the same female while in a motor vehicle at various locations in Irvine between December 20, 1982 and December 19, 1984.

Between August 6, 1983 and August 5, 1986 Ellingham was accused of the rape of a third underage female at an address in Irvine. He was accused of sex charges against a fourth female then aged between (7 and 10) on various occasions between February 12, 1989 and February 11, 1992 at an address in Irvine, an address in Ardrossan and during journeys in a motor vehicle in Irvine.

In the same period was also accused of raping the same child to her injury. Ellingham faced further accusations of sexual abuse of a fifth female then aged between nine and 12-year-old on various occasions between December 6, 1989 and December 5, 1992 at an address in Irvine, and in journeys in a motor vehicle in the Irvine area.

He was also charged with raping a sixth female, then aged between 14 and 15, at an address in Ardrossan between August 24, 1996 and August 19, 1997. He faced an eleventh charge of the sexual assault of same female between August 24, 1997 and August 1998.

He had denied all charges against him, forcing his alleged victims to face the ordeal of giving evidence against him.

Police were unable to confirm the cause of his death.

Good grief! How could he get away with so many atrocities for so long? It's hardly believable! Nevertheless, he didn't escape judgement by offing himself.

Norfolk man jailed for child sex attacks
Home News KL.FM

A Norfolk man has been jailed for 18-years for a number of sex attacks on young girls.

42-year-old Gary Izatt, from Icknield Way in Thetford, was charged in August 2016.

It followed a number of rape and child abuse offences, which began in June 2012.

Norfolk Police say Gary Izatt befriended the two 13-year-old girls, and then "abused them countless times".

Norfolk Constabulary’s Safeguarding Children Online Team (SCOLT) charged him with 28 offences.

Izatt admitted 8 counts of rape, 4 counts of sexual assault by penetration, three counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, four counts of possession of indecent images and one count of sexual assault by touching.

The other offences will remain on file.

When sentencing Izatt to 18 years in prison with a seven year extension, Judge Ayres described his offences as "humiliating and degrading" to both children who are under 13.

He described Izatt as a "dangerous individual" who posed a serious risk of significant harm in the future.

Pastor on child sex charges offers to do
DNA test to clear his name
LOOP NEWS  JAMAICA NEWS

The Corporate Area pastor who has been charged for allegedly raping and impregnating a 12-year-old girl, has consented to do a DNA test to help clear his name.

Kenneth Blake, 56, of Harbour View in St Andrew, appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on several charges on Wednesday, and signed an order authorising the DNA test after his attorney indicated to the court that Blake was prepared to take the step in a bid to establish innocence on his part.

The churchman, who heads the Harvest Temple Apostolic Church on Slipe Pen Road in the Corporate Area, faces charges of rape, grievous sexual assault, forcible abduction, sexual touching, and sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16 years old.

The allegations are that he had sex with the child on several occasions in 2015, resulting in her getting pregnant.

Further allegations are that he used cash and other forms of gifts to keep her quiet about their alleged sexual contacts.

Notably also, the child is a daughter of a former officer of the church with whom the pastor has acknowledged having had an intimate relationship with in the past

The accused, who has denied having had any sexual contact with the child, was offered $1.5 million bail by Parish Judge Simone Wolfe-Reece under a batch of strict conditions. These included not to have contact with the complainant, her mother or other siblings, and not to be alone with any person under the age of 18 year, unless they are his children.

In court, Blake’s lawyer, Able-Don Foote, suggested that the allegations against his client emanated from malice and ill-will from the complainant’s mother, whom he alleged had stolen $300,000 from the church.

The attorney confirmed that Blake was previously in a relationship with the child's mother, who was an officer of the church up to July of this year. Foote said the relationship between the two adults ended early in 2015.

It was suggested that the sexual abuse allegations emerged after Blake stopped supporting the child’s mother and she fell into financial difficulties, which culminated with the alleged theft from the church.

Peeling back the layers of child sexual abuse in China

Brief informative look at Chinese child sex abuse laws
as well as laws elsewhere
China Daily
By Song Jingyi and Zhao Manfeng

Editor's note: Child sexual abuse is an important societal concern in China that is affecting the health and well-being of the children and families involved. A better understanding of the problem can prevent future child sexual abuse. We have compiled information about child sexual abuse cases happened in China in 2016 and figured out how to prevent it.

We have also included valuable information on how to provide help and support to any child you suspect may have been through this trauma.

Note: The stats below are 'reported' cases which make up a small part of the actual number of cases of child sex abuse. As such, the high percentage of teachers abusing children, while very concerning, is probably too high in actuality because the majority of sex abuse happens in the victim's home and involves a family member or neighbour. Consequently, those numbers should be much higher than reported.

St Edmund's College teacher on trial for alleged historic sex abuse
Michael Inman

A former Canberra school teacher was sacked from St. Edmund's College after allegations of improper conduct with a student, a court has heard.

The alleged victim did not go into detail with the school headmaster at the time and then kept his silence after Garry Leslie Marsh's termination.

The ACT Supreme Court has heard that coverage of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse stirred memories and prompted the alleged victim to report the matter to police 35 years on.

But the defence says this passage of time disadvantaged the accused as it made it harder to challenge the allegations.

Marsh, 72, of Sydney, is on trial before Justice John Burns accused of indecent assault and buggery.

He has pleaded not guilty.

One count of indecent assault was dropped during the trial earlier this week due to lack of evidence.

The abuse allegedly took place between 1979 and 1980 when the alleged victim was aged about 13.

Jurors have heard Marsh – who had been the boy's school teacher and football coach – had struck up a friendship with the teen after his parents separated.

The boys mother worked long hours and he would spend time at Marsh's home, receive lifts to football, and on one occasion, slept over. The Crown alleges that Marsh used this relationship to indecently assault the boy on six separate occasions.

The court also heard allegations that Marsh would watch the boys in his care shower and change after physical education and would grab at their groins and buttocks as a game. Prosecutor Jane Campbell argued this behaviour showed Marsh had a sexual attraction towards the alleged victim.

In her closing, Ms Campbell said the alleged victim had reported the allegations to his mother and a friend at the time. The school had been notified and Marsh's position terminated.

He later left the country to work in Nauru.

Ms Campbell also pointed to a number of apparent contradictions between Marsh's statement to police and his evidence from the witness stand, including that no children had visited his home, the alleged victim had not slept over at his house, and he had not driven students in his car.

But defence barrister, Ray Livingstone, argued the prosecution's case had amounted to an array of allegations and had not discharged the burden of proof beyond reasonable doubt.

He said it would be appropriate for jurors to return verdicts of not guilty.

Justice John Burns gave jurors final directions and sent them to deliberate on the fate of Marsh on Thursday afternoon.

The jury were sent home for the night about 4.30pm and will reconvene to continue their deliberations on Friday morning.

SA, NSW arrests over online child sex abuse
and exploitation material

Two South Australians and a woman from New South Wales have been charged over online child sex abuse and exploitation material, as part of an investigation involving SA, NSW and Federal Police.

Officers said a 34-year-old man from Adelaide's northern suburbs had been refused bail over alleged possession and dissemination of child exploitation material.

A 32-year-old woman from regional NSW was refused bail and will face court in Taree accused of aggravated sexual assault of a child and dissemination of child abuse material.

A 45-year-old woman from Adelaide's northern suburbs, also denied bail, is facing aggravated offences of production, possession and dissemination of child exploitation material, indecent assault and gross indecency allegations.

Police warned the public that any app, online game or social media platform which allowed people to be in contact with others they did not know could put them at risk.

They urged anyone with information about people involved in online child sexual exploitation or abuse to report the issue to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Case involving sexual abuse at a crèche
provisionally closed

The case involving a child who was reportedly sexually abused at a crèche (daycare) in the Boksburg CBD has been provisionally closed.

Members of the Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit were forced to provisionally close the matter because there is inadequate evidence to support the allegations and to link someone to the crime.

Members of the unit registered a case of sexual abuse after a little girl, who was complaining of pain in her genitals, told her mother that a man sexually abused her with his fingers at the crèche.

“Detectives investigated the possibility of the abuse but they could not find any proof to support the claim,” said the Boksburg SAPS spokesperson, Sgt Cebisa Maseko.

Maseko added the child failed to give a statement to the investigators.

You must have specially trained police woman and men who can deal with children. Regular police, especially uniformed police, should never interview a child sex victim.

Despite the withdrawal of the sexual assault case at the CBD crèche, Maseko still encourages parents to always monitor the state of their children and immediately report anything suspicious that points to child abuse, to the police.

TSA Frisks 10-year-old Girl after Finding Juice Pouch

I would be in jail right now if that had been my daughter.
I would have completely lost it.

A young girl’s father was outraged after a TSA agent patted her down for nearly two minutes at an airport. The search was initiated after agents found a juice pouch mistakenly left in a carry-on handbag.

The frisking happened last week in North Carolina and the girl’s father recorded the incident on his smart phone. Kevin Payne and his daughter, Vendela, were heading home to San Diego by way of Raleigh-Durham International Airport, when Transportation Security Administration agents discovered a Capri Sun juice pouch.

Liquids exceeding three ounces are not allowed in carry-on bags for fear that they might contain explosives, and so TSA agents initiated a pat down followed by an hour of extra screening.

“Maybe the TSA agents were bad apples, maybe they were under-trained, maybe they need re-training, maybe they did everything by the book,” Kevin Payne said, according to KXAN. “I don’t really know, but it was an uncomfortable situation.”

Payne said that TSA agents told him he wasn’t allowed to film, but he recorded the incident on his smart phone anyway, and has since posted the video on YouTube and Nextdoor.

“I’m a very big proponent of security, and if they were patting me down no problem, but this was a 10-year-old girl,” Payne said, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune. “The whole system seems to not work the way it should be working.”

His daughter said she kept herself together because she didn’t want to “throw a tantrum like a one-year-old,” according to KNSD.

"I know it's to keep everybody on the plane safe, but she kept patting me down," Vendela said. "It was like, over and over."

Vendela, you are my hero today for not losing it when you were being abused. I pray you  will put this behind you and not let it affect your life. You have improved conditions for other girls your age and you can be proud of that. You are amazingly strong. God bless you.

The Payne family made it on to their flight, but only because their plane was delayed.

The TSA's website says screening procedures are been modified for children under 12. They will have a reduced likelihood of being patted down. How exactly screening procedures are being modified is not being detailed due to security issues.

All this over a box of juice. That's just insane. I'm sure they poured the juice out and found that it was not an explosive. So why the drama? Surely these agents see this all the time. You have to wonder about the agent - 'tragically stupid' would be the best term I could use to describe her.

A quick pat-down I could have tolerated, but the absurd, pains-taking pace and the repetition would have pushed me over the edge, and I have almost no temper nor bent towards violence. When you post as many articles on child sex abuse and pedophilia as I do on this blog, then you see what could easily be interpreted as exactly that occurring to your little girl - I would have been arrested!

Lord Janner Dead: Former Peer Found Unfit to Stand Trial for Alleged Child Sex Abuse

Janner was suffering with severe dementia

Greville Janner, the former Labour peer, has died aged 87.
His family confirmed his death on Saturday. He was suffering from severe dementia.

"Lord Janner died peacefully on Saturday, 19 December after a long illness,” the family said in a statement. "He will be deeply missed."

A High Court judge ruled Lord Janner was "unfit to plead" over a series of child sex abuse charges dating back 50 years earlier in December and a 'trial of the facts' was scheduled to take place in April.

Mr Justice Openshaw said in his ruling: “The defendant has advanced and disabling dementia which is deteriorating and irreversible and I find he is unfit to plead and stand trial on his indictment.”

The former Labour MP for Leicester West was accused of 22 sexual offences dating back to the 1960s against nine alleged victims, the majority of whom were 16 or under at the time.

Lord Janner was made a life peer upon his retirement in 1997 after serving as a Labour MP for 20 years. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2009 and suspended from the Labour party in April.

His family said he was "entirely innocent of any wrongdoing" in response to the allegations.

His many alleged victims will not agree with his family's assessment of Janner. They may also feel cheated out of their day in court to air the alleged abuse suffered at his hands. But Mr Janner still has to stand before God in judgment; his guilt or innocence will be made known and recompensed at that time.

Lord Janner was an outspoken MP and prominent campaigner for Jewish organisations. Sir Mick Davis, chairman of the Jewish Leadership Council, said: “The passing of Greville Janner marks the end of an era for the Jewish community.

”Our thoughts and prayers are with the Janner family at this most difficult time.“

A family spokesperson asked that their privacy during mourning be respected.
