Police arrest Oregon man accused of child sex abuse
Montana Standard On Friday an Oregon man was charged with felony assault after he resisted arrest and pulled a knife on a Butte police officer during an Thursday-night arrest.
The man--Joshua Postema, 39, of The Dalles, Ore.--was sought by police in Wasco County, Ore on two counts of sodomy, incest, and sex abuse of children under the age of 16.
The Wasco County Sheriff’s Office notified Butte, Montana police that Postema--a former Butte resident--was possibly staying at a home on the 5100 block of Warren Avenue in the Mining City.
After visiting the residence Thursday, police spoke with a man inside the home who said Postema had left in a van for Walmart on Harrison Avenue.
While officers stayed at the residence and waited for Postema to return, another officer was sent to Walmart, where he located the van described by the homeowner at around 6:30 p.m.
The van was empty, but the officer saw Postema leaving Walmart.
According to police reports, the officer approached Postema and told him to stop, but Postema continued walking toward the van. After the officer reached Postema near the vehicle, the Oregon man pulled a knife from his pocket and tried to open the van’s door. The officer then tackled the 39-year-old to the ground and arrested him but was cut by the knife in the process.
Postema appeared in court Friday morning and was charged with a misdemeanor for resisting arrest and felony assault on a peace officer. He's now awaiting transfer to Oregon.

Wisconsin police ask for help finding child sex abuse suspect

Prosecutors have filed child sexual abuse charges against a Springfield man — but they aren't sure if they have the right name.
Court documents say two boys reported they were given drugs and abused last month by a man named "Frank" who was paying them to do odd jobs.
Police say they have contacted the suspect — who identified himself as 48-year-old Frank Schultz — but they now believe that was possibly an alias, and the man might be on the run.
Frank Schultz has been charged with attempted statutory sodomy, child molestation and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. An arrest warrant has been issued for that name.
According to a probable cause statement, a boy told authorities on June 25 that Schultz had given him marijuana and then molested him while he was staying the night at Schultz's residence at 1121 W. State St.
A few days earlier, another boy had allegedly reported that Schultz had given him marijuana that was possibly laced with another drug and then sexually assaulted him in the middle of the night.
Court documents say the boys reported that the windows in the State Street home were covered with sheets and Schultz had a box with hundreds of DVDs with words like "little boy porn," "gay porn" and "lesbian porn."
On Tuesday, police executed a search warrant at the State Street home and found a plastic bag with a white powdery substance and a camera with photos of juvenile boys on it, according to the statement.
A bond recommendation document says Schultz has access to numerous other children.
On Friday, police released a photo of the suspect. They are asking anyone with information to call the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS.

Mom, boyfriend charged in child's sex abuse case
WBRZ By: Trey Schmaltz Damien Kimble, left, and Kimble's live-in girlfriend, right. WBRZ made an editorial decision to distort the woman's face and not report her name as to protect the identity as much as possible of her daughter, the victim in the case. Good decision, God bless you.
LIVONIA - A couple was booked into jail on child sex charges, the WBRZ Investigative Unit learned Friday.
Authorities said a man was raping his live-in girlfriend's daughter. The abuse happened over the course of nine years, police said the victim reported. Authorities remained tight-lipped about the case when contacted for information by WBRZ Friday, although the Livonia Police Chief said the victim reported the crime herself.
Damien Kimble, 35, was charged with aggravated rape, molestation and carnal knowledge of a juvenile. His live-in girlfriend and mother of the victim was charged with principal to molestation and indecent behavior of a juvenile. WBRZ has made an editorial decision not to identify the woman facing charges in this case in an effort to protect the victim's identity, although editors thought it important to explain the relationship between the woman charged in the case and the victim.
Detectives said when the abuse started, the victim was under 13-years-old.
In arrest documents, police wrote the mother of the victim made the girl sleep in the bed with the woman and Kimble naked, repeatedly beat the child and allowed Kimble to fondle the girl while the couple was having sex. Police also said the woman repeatedly beat her daughter.
Kimble remains in jail. The woman posted a $30,500 bond and was released.
Police said the investigation is still on-going.
