Pedophile pop star Gary Glitter to be freed from prison
after serving half his sentence

Disgraced English pop star and convicted pedophile Gary Glitter is set to be released from prison in the coming weeks after serving just half of his 16-year sentence for sexually abusing three young girls, according to a report.
Glitter, born Paul Francis Gadd, could be freed as early as February for his model behavior, a Ministry of Justice source told The Sun.
The depraved 78-year-old rose to prominence as a glam-rock star in the 1970s and 80s known for his wild live performances, but fell from grace after he was convicted of downloading child pornography in 1999.
According to The Sun, the “Do You Wanna Touch Me” singer still has millions of dollars left in his bank accounts and owns an apartment in London where he could live after his release.

His case will not have to go before a parole board, who can block a prisoner’s release if they find that they still pose a threat to the public, because he was sentenced to a determinate term, The Sun reported.
“Glitter has kept his nose clean in prison and toed the line and now his sentence is almost over,” sources told the paper.
“The nature of his determinate sentence means the case won’t go to the Parole Board,” the sources added, which means “as soon as his sentence is over, he is free to walk out of the prison gates.”
The parole board confirmed that Glitter would have to wear a tag upon his release.

Glitter was convicted with having sex with a minor in Vietnam in 2006 and spent three years in jail there. He was deported to the UK where he registered as a sex offender.
In 2015 Gliter was found guilty of attempting to rape an eight year old, having sex with a girl under 13, and four counts molesting another minor girl. The offenses occurred between 1975 and 1980.
“It is difficult to overstate the depravity of this dreadful behavior,” Judge Alistair McCreath said at his sentencing, adding that he wished he could put Glitter behind bars for longer, but was constrained by sentencing restrictions for crimes committed in the 1970s.
One of Glitter’s Vietnamese victims, Diem, whom he abused when she was just 10 years old in 2006, told The Sun she believes the singer will always remain a threat.
“He will always be a terrible danger to young girls. It’s terrifying to think he might soon be free, even though he is on the other side of the world from me,” she said.
The singer’s 1972 hit “Rock and Roll Part 2” was featured in the 2019 movie “The Joker.”

Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty of one count of rape and two counts of sexual assault, nearly three years after the already convicted movie mogul was sentenced for similar crimes in New York City.
The disgraced Hollywood mogul, 70, was acquitted of one count of sexual battery, but the jury is still hung on three other counts against him.
Weinstein did not audibly react but he folded his hands and pressed them to his head as the guilty verdicts were read.
The case, brought by four women, contained five sexual assault charges for incidents that transpired in LA county between 2004 and 2013, including two counts of forcible rape.
Bound in a wheelchair for the proceedings, Weinstein had already been found guilty in February 2020 of two felonies — third-degree rape and criminal sexual act in the first degree.

Other allegations leveled against the producer - who until recently had been touted as 'The Most Powerful Man in Hollywood' - include forcible oral copulation, sexual battery by restraint, and sexual penetration by use of force, all allegedly carried out between 2004 and 2013.
His four accusers included multiple then-aspiring models and a masseuse employed by Weinstein - all delivered emotional testimonies recounting their alleged abuse over the past month. Among them was the wife of current California Governor Gavin Newsom, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, who argues Weinstein raped her during an encounter in 2005.
Earlier in the month, prosecutors revealed that the accuser known in court as Jane Doe 5, who alleged she was raped and forced to give oral sex to the then movie mogul on two separate occasions in 2009 and 2010, would not be appearing to testify.

What's more, the attorneys revealed that the counts would no longer be pursued, and would not detail a reason for the last-minute shift.
Those remaining include an unidentified Russian, Italy-based model, labeled Jane Doe 1, who claims she was sexually assaulted by Weinstein in 2013, and forced to perform oral sex as he had difficulty maintaining an erection.

The first witness called to the stand, Jane Doe 1 faced a heated line of questioning from Weinstein's legal team back in October, with the defense accusing her of lying - arguing that at the time of the alleged incident, Weinstein's testicles had been surgically relocated to his inner thighs.
Weinstein was today found guilty of rape and sexual assault of all counts related to Jane Doe 1.
'I was trying to do what he wanted,' the unidentified accuser said, conceding that Weinstein had 'problems with testicles' while remaining adamant she never changed her story about the assault.
A third accuser, a licensed massage therapist known only as Jane Doe 3, was hired by Weinstein in May of 2010 for a massage, during which she said Weinstein trapped her, groped her, and masturbated in front of her, in an incident very similar to the one recounted by (xxxxx).

Gucci and Harry Styles slammed for ‘sick’ ad with child’s bed

Harry Styles and Gucci are facing a backlash as the result of a T-shirt and photos from the “As It Was” singer’s “HA HA HA” Gucci campaign ad.
In the photos posted to the fashion house’s Instagram account last week, the 28-year-old, who has worked with Gucci for years, holds and stands in front of what appears to be a child-size mattress while modeling a shirt with an angry-looking pink teddy bear on it.
“I want more berries and that summer feeling,” the shirt reads, borrowing a lyric from his Grammy-winning 2019 song “Watermelon Sugar.”
The Gucci photos arrive just weeks after Balenciaga’s recent controversial campaign in which children were pictured with BDSM-style teddy bears. Another photo included papers from a Supreme Court case that upheld part of a federal child pornography law sitting under a handbag.
“A performance piece starring Harry Styles and the Gucci HA HA HA collection. Discover the campaign at the link in bio,” Gucci captioned their new photos on Instagram.
