POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A man from Hialeah is locked up in Polk County facing accusations he raped a 15-year-old girl.
Deputies arrested Erick Rabelo, 27, Monday shortly after he flew into the Orlando International Airport, as he was traveling to meet the victim.
Investigators said they got involved earlier in the day after the victim’s mother told deputies she received a text from Rabelo claiming he had been dating her daughter for more than a year.
Despite his proximity to Cape Kennedy/Canaveral, I'm guessing this guy is not a rocket scientist.

Erin’s Law should have started being taught in New York schools in 2019-2020 but Cuomo wasn’t signing it and because of his delay it didn’t make it required until 2020-2021 school year. Glad he was forced out 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 His true colors have been exposed. So glad he sent his staff out to meet with me instead of himself that March 2019 day I was at the capitol in Albany.

He signed Erin’s Law right after this article was published and several others put pressure on him and made him look pretty bad. Media has helped me significantly over the years in passing Erin’s Law. It all started with Oprah’s coverage in 2010.
If you are not aware in April Erin’s Law was being taught in a NY elementary school and 11 students came forward saying they were being molested by the principal. That number is now 26 students saying principal molested them dozens of times over the years. He had been at the same elementary school since 2004. He would invite students in his office for lunch and sexually abusing them multiple times a year for years. His victims were all boys between ages of 7-11. He is looking at a lifetime behind bars.
And that is just one school!

Possibly Armed Felon With Ties To Walnut Hill, Brewton
Wanted For Child Sex Abuse

Authorities are searching for a man wanted for child sexual abuse that has ties to Walnut Hill and Brewton.
The Escambia County (AL) Sheriff’s Office said 41-year old Thomas Benjamin Davis is wanted for felony sexual abuse of a child less than 12-years old and for failure to appear.
He was last known to possibly be in Texas, but investigators said he has property in Walnut Hill and Brewton and may be between the two states. The Sheriff’s Office said he is a convicted felon and may be armed.
He may be driving a late model silver Nissan Titan that may not have a tag.
Davis is described as a white male, 5-foot 11 inches tall, 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Coach gets 2 life sentences for sexually assaulting teens in
Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A jury sentenced a kid's softball coach accused of sexually abusing children for 20 years in Montgomery County to two consecutive life sentences Thursday, according to officials.
Juan Corona, known to kids as "Coach Manny," had been coaching softball for more than 25 years, according to authorities. He would coach and also give private lessons at the South Montgomery County Softball League located off Pruitt Road.
Allegations of sex assault of a child first came out in 2018 when a 14-year-old player on a girls' private softball club came forward accusing her coach, Corona, of being sexually inappropriate with her on several occasions. That's when other victims then stepped forward.
The jury's decision on Corona's sentencing is the maximum sentence he faced for six counts of sexual abuse of a child.
Investigators said he sexually abused at least four victims over a span of two decades.
Corona's home in The Woodlands was searched, and investigators said they found photos and video to back up the victims' stories, including video of one sexual assault.
Iowa man found guilty of sex offenses involving two children

BENTON COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) — A Belle Plaine man has been found guilty of six sex offenses.
The Benton County Attorney issued a press release on Kyle Robert Mall. The jury determined that Mall systematically sexually abused two children, age four, from 2019 through March 2020. Both children, now six, testified in person during the trial.
Mall was found guilty of two counts of Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree, two counts of Lascivious Acts with a Child and two counts of Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Abuse.
Details on the charges are provided in the list below:
Sexual Abuse charge = 25 year prison sentence that requires the defendant to serve 70% of the sentence before parole eligibility (17.5 years).
Lascivious Acts with a Child charge = 10 year indeterminate prison sentence and a minimum $1,375, maximum $13,660 fine.
Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Abuse = Aggravated Misdemeanor with a maximum sentence of two years in prison.
Mall will also need to serve a lifetime parole sentence and be on the Sex Offender Registry for life.
Longtime Genesee Co. Reserve Deputy off the job,
facing sex abuse charges

FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) - (8/20/2021) - The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office cut ties with a longtime volunteer, following the Flint man’s arrest on multiple counts of sexual abuse.
The court record shows these allegations date back to 2005.
Marshall Grear is facing 5 felonies, all connected to accusations he sexually abused a victim younger than 13. We’re told the 67-year-old knew this child.
This allegedly happened for some time and it was while Grear was serving as a reserve deputy for the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
“When you put your name behind an organization, and you make a decision that’s outside their organization that brings a horrible view, it shatters the trust of that organization,” Sheriff Chris Swanson explained. “The organization pays the price, not that individual and that’s what Grear did.”
Sheriff Swanson said Grear’s been associated with the Office for the last three Sheriffs. He’s always been a volunteer, never paid.
As a reserve officer, he did have an ID, uniform and badge. Sheriff Swanson said he hasn’t been involved recently and as soon as the Office learned of his arrest, they cut ties.
When the pandemic started, the Sheriff changed the role of the Reserves, having them work as the Community Cares Task Force instead. Sheriff Swanson said Grear did not work any events this last year.
The Office has no record of any complaints against Grear; but he said, don’t hesitate to speak up if you believe you’re a victim.
The Sheriff made it clear every volunteer goes through a background check. Grear was no exception.
“Predators and pedophiles, they are among us. They‚ many times, have a clean criminal record, 9 out of 10 of them have never had any interaction with the police outside of a traffic stop,” the Sheriff said. “And yet, you would never think that they’ve had this, this, this driving force to victimize innocent people.”
If you believe you’re a victim, the Sheriff said you can call his Office or Flint Township Police, the agency handling the case.
Grear is due back in court next week.
Morenci man arraigned on child sex charges

CLIFTON – Jason Downing, 31, of Morenci, was arraigned in Greenlee County Superior Court on Tuesday regarding child sex charges.
Downing has two separate cases against him; the first case lists charges of molestation of a child and sexual abuse, and the second case lists charges of molestation of a child and sexual conduct with a minor.
Downing is represented by Daisy Flores in both cases. He allegedly admitted to the molestation and said he didn’t know why he did it but that he himself had been molested twice as a child.
The complaint was issued July 16 and Downing was bound over to Greenlee Superior Court on July 22. On Tuesday, Aug. 17, Downing was arraigned in superior court on both cases.
Clifton Police were first notified of the possible child molestation by the victim’s mother on June 30.
The victim (who is under the age of 12) was able to describe the abuse to the investigators. Afterward, a second child victim came forward and said Downing had done the same type of abuse to the second victim as well.
Additionally, detectives listened in on a phone call made to Downing in which he was asked, “what he did and why?” and Downing allegedly responded, “put my hands down her pants . . . I have no idea, cause I’m (expletive deleted) sick.” Downing can also be heard admitting to molesting the second victim on the phone call as well, according to a Clifton Police report.
Downing, who is a retired Marine, checked himself into the Tucson Veterans Affairs Hospital in Tucson that night. The following day, July 1, Greenlee County Justice of the Peace Judge Grace Nabor issued a warrant for Downing’s arrest. On July 2, Clifton Police Chief Omar Negrete and Greenlee County Attorney’s Office Investigator Eric Ellison went to the VA in Tucson, and Downing was taken into custody and booked into the Pima County Adult Corrections Facility.
Downing’s next hearing is set for a pre-trial conference on Oct. 19. He is being held on a $200,000 cash-only bond.
Iowa Man Who Distributed Videos of the Sexual Abuse of Toddler
by Her Mother Sentenced to Federal Prison
A man who distributed videos of a toddler being sexually abused by her mother on social media was sentenced today to nine years in federal prison.
Douglas John Buttikofer Jr., age 41, from Dubuque, Iowa, received the prison term after a February 2, 2021 guilty plea to accessing child pornography.
At the guilty plea, Buttikofer admitted that between February and March of 2020, he knowingly accessed with intent to view visual depictions of child pornography. The depictions involved at least one minor under the age of 12. Buttikofer committed the offense while on pre-trial release in the State of Illinois for the unlawful grooming of a minor.
At sentencing, a witness testified that Buttikofer expressed an interest in traveling to the Philippines to engage in sex with children. The judge noted Buttikofer maintained a “persistent pursuit” of child pornography, making him a danger to the community.
Buttikofer was sentenced in Cedar Rapids by United States District Court Judge C.J. Williams. Buttikofer was sentenced to 108 months’ imprisonment and fined $100. He must also serve a five-year term of supervised release after the prison term. There is no parole in the federal system.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Buttikofer is being held in the United States Marshal’s custody until he can be transported to a federal prison.
