School Bus Driver Walks Free After Admitting to Rape of 15yo Student

A Tennessee school bus driver who admitted to raping a 15-year-old student has dodged a jail term. Despite pleading guilty to aggravated statutory rape, he was sentenced to 10 years' probation and registered as a sex offender.

In March 2015, a female student at Sale Creek High School was reported missing by her family. The same evening, the girl arrived home and shared horrifying details with her parents and the police.

The girl said that she boarded the bus that Alexander Rodriquez was driving in the afternoon. He took her to a loading station where the buses are kept and then ordered her to get into his car.

Rodriquez drove them to a Super 8 motel, where he later forced her to perform oral sex before raping her. The girl said that she repeatedly said, “no.” She also told Rodriquez that his actions hurt, to which he allegedly said that he was “trying to make it hurt.”

The student said that they remained at the motel until Rodriquez got a phone call, presumably from police asking if he knew anything about the missing teen’s whereabouts.

This is when he put the girl back in his car and took her to a remote location. It reportedly took her an hour to walk home.

When interrogated by police, Rodriquez denied any knowledge about the girl, or even seeing her board his bus. However, he later changed his answer, saying that he gave her a ride to a Krystal restaurant.

When police asked the bus driver about what he knew about the Super 8 motel, Rodriquez asked for an attorney.

“The evidence didn’t really bear that out,” Rodriquez’ lawyer, Johnny Houston, said, casting doubt that the girl was forced to have sex.

So even if it was just statutory rape, he was in a position of influence and deserves more than 100 days. Incredible!

Rodriquez is going serve a supervised 10 years' probation as a sex offender and will have to wear a GPS monitor.

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) — A former Tennessee firefighter has been charged in a sexual abuse case involving a child.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says 37-year-old David Wilber was arrested Friday on three counts of sexual battery by an authority figure.

The TBI says in a news release that an investigation found the child was sexually abused on several occasions between August 2014 and August 2015.

Portland Mayor Ken Wilber, who is David Wilber's uncle, says in the news release that his nephew resigned from the Portland fire department last week.

Sumner County Jail records show David Wilber was released on bond.

Authorities say 24-year-old Courtney B. Steward was arrested Thursday and charged with sexually abusing a male student attending Huguenot High School.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports (bit.ly/21odqma) that Stewart has been charged with two felony counts of taking indecent liberties while in a supervisory role.

A spokeswoman for Richmond Public Schools said Stewart, who was hired at the start of the school year, has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.

Court records show the first alleged assault occurred last year, and the second sometime last month.

DAISETTA, Texas - A well-known city councilman is locked up inside the Liberty County jail and charged with one count of sex abuse of a child.

Dennie Howell, 57, was indicted and turned himself in to the authorities on Feb. 23.  He is currently being held without bond.

Detectives in the case tell Channel 2, a 14-year-old girl came forward and said Howell molested her.

Police began their investigation several months ago.  Recently three more girls, all under the age of 13, came forward and made similar allegations. Police are continuing to investigate and more charges could come.

“I trusted him.  I trusted the wrong person, obviously,” said one of the girls’ mother’s.  She spoke exclusively to Channel2, and her identity is not being released to protect her daughter.

“He had her convinced that nobody would believe her and that she would be the one that would be in trouble.”

The girl’s mother said her daughter is 12, and the alleged abuse was happening for about two years.  Her daughter got the courage to come forward after she heard Howell had been arrested.

The mother told Channel 2 their families had known each other for many years, and they were very close friends.  The alleged abuse was happening at Howell’s Daisetta home.

“It’s shocking,” said Huey Palmer, who has known the Howell family for more than two decades.

Everyone in town knows Howell because of his work with the city, and a lot of people are surprised about the allegations.

“You would never suspect somebody like that,” said Jimmie Dee. “He’s always been friendly with the kids.”

New Mexico man has child sex abuse conviction reinstated

SANTA FE (KRQE) The New Mexico Supreme Court supported the Office of the Attorney General’s decision to reinstate the conviction of a New Mexico man charged in a sex abuse case involving his stepdaughters.

Danny Surratt was convicted for sexual penetration of a child under age thirteen.

Surratt is a retired law enforcement officer in Lea County. He was investigated and charged back in August 2010.

The Attorney General Hector Balderas spoke about the case.

“The Office of the Attorney General’s number one priority is protecting New Mexico’s children and families,” said Balderas. “Today’s Supreme Court opinion reinstates the conviction of a man who preyed on children, which is justice served. It also affirms the proper use of special prosecutors in cases where there is a conflict of interest.”

Santa Paula man found guilty in child sex abuse case

A jury Wednesday found a Santa Paula man guilty of two felony counts of unlawful acts with a child under 10 years old, prosecutors said.

After a weeklong trial and nearly two days of deliberation, the jury also found Anastacio Ramirez, 44, guilty of one felony count of continuous sexual abuse.

Prosecutor Jennie Thrift said Ramirez had sexual intercourse with the victim, and that the abuse lasted from when the girl was 11 to 13 years old.

Ramirez faces a maximum prison sentence of 62-years to life in prison when he is sentenced Jan. 8.

An upstate New York man arrested for alleged child sex abuse

A Saratoga Springs man was arrested Wednesday evening on suspicion of inappropriately touching two young girls.

Odd! Most perverts are uglier
than this guy
Police reports state the suspect, Brandon Nay, was tending to two young girls Aug. 23. When their mother came to pick them up, the older girl told her mother that Nay, 29, had touched her, reports state.

A forensic interview was conducted later that day at the Children’s Justice Center, where the 7-year-old victim said Nay touched her privates, reports state. The 6-year-old victim told the interviewing officers that Nay had pulled his pants down in front of both of the victims.

Nay told the 6-year-old victim to lie on top of him, reports state.

A protective order has been served on Nay to have no contact with the alleged victims in the case, the report states.

Ryan McBride with the Utah County Attorney’s Office said the reason there was a delay between the initial report and the arrest is likely a result of follow-up investigation.

Nay was booked Wednesday into the Utah County Jail on suspicion of two first-degree felony charges of aggravated sexual abuse of a child.

Husband of Maine daycare owner arrested for child sex abuse

PARKMAN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A Parkman man has been arrested on charges he lured children with candy and gum and then asked them to expose themselves to him, according to Piscataquis County District Attorney Chris Almy.

Officials charged 69-year-old David Russell with seven counts of visual sexual aggression. Russell is the husband of Pamela Russell, listed owner of the Just Us Daycare in Parkman.

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services said they received a complaint of alleged sexual abuse of children on October 10 of this year. Pamela Russell agreed to temporarily close her day care pending the investigation and has not had any children in her care since October 12, officials report. She surrendered her certificate voluntarily, on October 20, 2015.

According to a DHHS press statement, Pamela Russell was certified by the Department of Health and Human Services in 1997 as a Family Child Care provider, approved to care for a maximum of 12 children, at the location of 172 Dairy Lane in Parkman.

NEWS CENTER spoke with Piscataquis District Attorney Christopher Almy on Thursday. He said "We became aware of it recently when parents of some of the kids complained to both state police and the Sheriff's office that the children at the daycare center had been enticed in to exposing their privates to the owners husband."
Parkman, Me

Piscataquis District Attorney Almy also said "The only thing that is alleged here is he enticed these children with gum or candy to expose their privates to him while they were in a pickup truck that he has on the property of the Day Care Center".

Officials said after obtaining sufficient evidence to support findings which would support Child Care Licensing initiating formal negative licensing action against Russell, she voluntarily surrendered her certificate on October 20.

Officials say the Department investigated one unfounded complaint back in 1999.

Almy said David Russell was taken to the Piscataquis County Jail and subsequently released on $2,500 cash bail.

A Salem man convicted on sexual abuse charges more than 20 years ago was found guilty of committing similar crimes after his release from prison.

A jury found Ladislado Miranda, 58, guilty of three counts of first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree unlawful sexual penetration last week. Two counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment were dismissed.

Miranda was accused of inappropriately touching a girl under the age of 14 multiple times between June 2008 and Oct. 2014, according to an indictment issued in May.

A jury convicted Miranda of first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sodomy and first-degree attempted rape in 1992. The victim was of a similar age as the girl in the 2015 case, according to court records.

He was sentenced to 20 years in prison and served 13 years and three months of that sentence. He was released in 2008, said Betty Bernt, a spokeswoman with the Department of Corrections.

In 1977, Miranda was convicted of first-degree sexual abuse after pleading guilty. He was arrested on a rape charge, court records show. He was sentenced to three years in prison to be served in the Oregon Department of Corrections, but it was an indeterminate sentence so he might not have served that full period, said Deputy District Attorney Katie Suver.

Miranda is scheduled to be sentenced at 4 p.m. Jan. 11, 2016 before Judge Claudia Burton at the Marion County Circuit Courthouse.

For Heaven sake put this pedophile away for good this time!
