King's Lynn teacher jailed for historic sexual abuse at private UK school
Geraldine Scott

A retired teacher from Norfolk has become the sixth from a leading private school to be convicted for historic sexual abuse charges.

Roger Martin, 83, of Great Dunham, King's Lynn, has been jailed at Hove Crown Court for four years for the indecent assault of a 10-year-old pupil at Christ's Hospital School, Horsham, West Sussex, between September and December 1976.

As well as the prison sentence, he will be a registered sex offender indefinitely.

Detective Sergeant Rebecca Wilde, of Sussex Police, said: "It became clear that Martin, who was the boy's housemaster, took advantage of his natural vulnerability for his own sexual gratification, hoping that it would not come to light, for more than 40 years he was right.

"This victim had kept the experience to himself for more than 40 years, only coming forward when he learned of similar cases involving other teachers at the same school.

"We have had full co-operation from the school throughout the investigation and we make it clear that the case relates to a period nearly 43 years ago, having nothing to do with current or recent pupils or staff at the school."

Simon Reid, current headteacher at Christ's Hospital School, said: "Both this and the convictions of other former teachers have exposed a dark period in the school's history during which too many children were manipulated and exploited.

"These individuals abused their positions of trust in a most serious and abhorrent way; the survivors of their offences have shown extraordinary courage in bringing them to justice.

"It is difficult to imagine the impact that these awful experiences must have had on their lives."

An NSPCC spokesman said: "Martin exploited his position of trust and authority to subject a young boy to appalling abuse. He may have believed he had got away with this sickening crime but this case shows that survivors of child sexual abuse will be listened to, no matter how many years have passed or who the abuser was.

"This is the latest conviction involving child abuse at Christ's Hospital School, and it is crucial that all those affected are receiving the support they need to help them recover."

Last month, chaplain Gary Dobbie was jailed for 12 years for abusing nine pupils across three decades.

Sports coach Ajaz Karim, was jailed last August for 10 years after assaulting six girls between 1985 and 1993.

And a month previously, James Husband, also known by his middle name of Andrew, was jailed for 17 years for raping and indecently assaulting a girl as young as 14 between 1990 and 1994.

Peter Webb and Peter Burr admitted indecently assaulting pupils at the school between the 1960s and 1980s and were also jailed.

Christ's Hospital is one of the oldest boarding schools in the country, dating back to the 16th century, and the Queen is a patron.

Pupils still wear a Tudor-style uniform of a long blue coat and high yellow socks with boarders charged fees of up to £31,500 a year.

Poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Sir Barnes Wallis, inventor of the bouncing bomb, are counted among its famous alumni.

Toronto man charged in sex assaults on ‘pre-pubescent’ kids lured at Filipino churches
Chris Herhalt, CP24.com

A Toronto man is facing 22 charges after he allegedly lured at least three small children at two Filipino churches over the past year, recording his sexual assaults on them and sharing them online.

Det. Const. Don Bai says that sometime before March 2019, Facebook contacted American law enforcement officials with information suggesting someone was trading and sharing videos and images of the sexual abuse of children using their service.

The Americans then contacted the RCMP, who then notified Toronto police.

Bai said police raided the home of a man in the Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue West area on June 12, and seized a number of devices. The devices allegedly contained videos of a man sexually abusing victims who Bai said were “pre-pubescent.”

Three have been identified so far.

Bai said the children were lured at two churches in 2018, Word and Life Christian Assembly on Coldstream Avenue and Jesus Reigns Forever International Ministry on Finch Avenue West.

“The Filipino community – they’re very trusting in nature and they welcomed him into their family,” Bai said, adding the suspect attended these churches for at least a year. “They trusted him – he had access to their children and I believe he used this trust and broke this trust.”

Bai said some of the video evidence they have collected indicates some of the assaults took place inside the churches. Police have informed the pastors and wider community at each place of worship.

“They were extremely shocked and devastated by this news,” Bai said.

A suspect identified as William Christopher Claveria was arrested and charged with 22 offences, including making child pornography, sexual assault, sexual interference, distribute child pornography and voyeurism. He is expected to appear in court next on Friday morning at 1000 Finch Avenue West.

Bai said they have evidence that assaults on other children occurred, beyond the three they have identified so far. However they don’t yet know who the other children are.

“I have pictures and videos of children who had interactions with Mr. Claveria who I would like to identify.”

Claveria’s image was circulated to the public on Thursday.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-8500.

Children’s home boss jailed for rape and systematic sexual abuse of children at North Yorkshire care home

by Nathan Sandhu

Maurice Berry, 64, who was in his early 20s at the time, preyed on several victims including one girl aged just ‘seven or eight’ while in his role as deputy officer-in-charge.

During a trial, jurors heard there was a culture of “rigid discipline” at the home where Berry would prowl the corridors “like the Gestapo”.

The children homes’ boss who raped and sexually abused vulnerable young girls in his care in the 1970s has been jailed for 13 years at York Crown Court.

Berry raped one of the girls, who cannot be named for legal reasons, following a “grooming campaign” in which he showered her with compliments and pretended to be her boyfriend.

He also sexually abused two younger girls after sneaking into their room at night or luring them to his own sleeping quarters at May Lodge Children’s Home in Scarborough, North Yorks.

The live-in careworker was by his own admission a strict disciplinarian and on one occasion allegedly ordered one girl to sleep on the floor of the laundry room.

Berry, now a married father-of-two, was arrested at his home in Lincolnshire after one or more of the victims, now middle-aged, finally came forward to police in 2017.

He was charged with 18 offences including 13 counts of indecent assault, three counts of indecency with a child and two counts of rape over a period of about a year in the 1970s.

Berry, of North Somercotes, denied all the allegations but was jailed on Tuesday for 13 years at York Crown Court after being found guilty of all but one count following a trial.

He was the second former care worker to be jailed for their wicked crimes at May Lodge.

Last month, Raymond Vasey, 72, from Darlington, was jailed for 17 years for raping and sexually abusing young girls at the children’s home in the 1970s.

Vasey, who was also a live-in care worker in his 20s at the time, preyed on at least three young girls – one just six years of age.

Prosecutor Dan Cordey said one of his victims was just seven or eight years’ old when Berry started coming into her room at night “under the pretence of reading a bedside story” before sexually abusing her.

He told a court that the two instances where Berry had full sex with the older, teenage girl were rapes because “it wasn’t proper or genuine consent (on her part)”.

“The defendant would tell her she was his girlfriend and when she said she didn’t want to have sex with him, he would take the mick out of her and laugh at her,” added the prosecutor.

'Take the mick out of her' - means take the fight out of her.

One of the victims described Berry as “pretty snidey” and said he would come into her room “every opportunity he got”.

“He used to walk around like the Gestapo,” she added.

One of Berry’s victims, now a mother, said her life had been “turned upside down”.

Another victim, who ended up having a nervous breakdown, said that while abusing her, Berry would tell her that “thousands of dads” did that sort of thing.

“All my life I felt dirty, like (it was) a stain on me,” she added.

The third victim, also a married mother, said: “I remember how petrified I would be when I went to bed at night.”

Berry had also worked at a school for handicapped children, a Dr Barnardo’s school in Scotland and Scawby Grove Children’s Home in North Lincolnshire before moving to May Lodge in the 1970s. After leaving May Lodge, a Methodist institution, he never worked with children again.

Berry, described as “quite arrogant” by former colleagues, moved back to Lincolnshire to work as a bus driver and then as a housing-liaison officer with Grimsby Borough Council. He then found work as a chartered surveyor providing property and valuation advice to public-sector organisations.

Sentencing, judge Sean Morris told Berry: “You were preying firstly on two little girls. They were all alone in the world… in a big, rambling Victorian children’s home. And you were wandering around, with your keys, taking your pleasure from these little girls in their beds at night. It was wicked.”

He said Berry had “conditioned and manipulated” the rape victim “to such an extent that it was submission”.

The judge said although Berry had “moved on” in his life and had not offended since he had “left damaged lives behind”. Berry was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for life.

Last week, John William Laister, 77, currently of York, pleaded guilty to 14 sexual offences, including indecent assault and gross indecency, against young girls at May Lodge in the 1960s and 70s. He will be sentenced on September 3.

Breaking the silence: Germany urges victims of sex abuse in sport to speak out

A federal commission looking into sex abuse in Germany has launched a media appeal for victims to come forward. At present, very few victims from the world of sport dare to speak out, even though studies show that one in three amateur sport enthusiasts have been subjected to sex abuse. Why is the taboo in sport so strong, when people elsewhere are beginning to speak out? Our correspondents report.

Only because it appeared on BBC do I include this next story on the trial of Carl Beech - the alleged fantasist who started the VIP scandal in Britain. His testimony is most likely completely fabricated as there has not been any form of verification of anything he has alleged but for police investigations suddenly being stopped. Nevertheless, the possibility of it being real does exist. It is not so far from other horror stories from Europe. Like:

VIP abuse accuser Carl Beech claims friend was killed
By Daniel De Simone
BBC News

Carl Beech denies 12 counts of perverting the course of justice and one of fraud

A man accused of lying about a VIP paedophile ring has told a court he saw a school friend deliberately mown down by a car and killed.

Carl Beech, 51, from Gloucester, said after his friend was hit, Mr Beech, a child at the time, was bundled into a car and never saw the other boy again. He told Newcastle Crown Court he had been too afraid to report what happened, not even telling his dog.

Newcastle Crown Court

He is accused of inventing allegations that a group of powerful figures sexually abused and murdered three boys in the 1970s and 1980s. His allegations led to a £2m Scotland Yard inquiry that ended without any arrests or charges.

In his second day giving evidence, Mr Beech told the jury former prime minister Sir Edward Heath, who died in 2005, had cuddled and comforted him in his yacht cabin when he was upset.

He also accused the late Leon Brittan of raping him over a bath, saying the former home secretary "liked violence" and seeing boys in pain.

'Quiet, like me'

Mr Beech went on to tell the court about the alleged murder, saying he had met a boy he knew "by the name of Scott" in the playground of his Kingston school, in south-west London, in the late 1970s.

The boy was "quiet, like me, but friendly" and the two became friends, meeting once or twice a week, he told the court.

One day he and Scott were walking side by side along the pavement in the Coombe Hill area of Kingston when he heard a loud "engine noise" behind him, the court heard.

"The car hit him - he went over the front of the car and into the road," Mr Beech said. "I ran over to him. His leg was bent in a funny direction and there was blood on his head," Mr Beech told the court.

He then described being bundled into the back of the car, and trying to kick his way out. "I remember something in my arm and I don't remember anything else after that," he added.

'Figment of imagination'

Asked why he believed the alleged death happened, he said: "I believe because of the threats that were issued that 'the group' was responsible." He describes the alleged VIP paedophile ring as "the group".

He said the late Sir Michael Hanley, a one-time head of MI5, threatened him that he "wasn't to have friends".

He said he could not tell anyone what had happened, adding: "I didn't even say anything to my dog."

Jurors have previously heard Mr Beech claim that Sir Michael was involved in the abduction of his pet dog, Heron.

When defence barrister Collingwood Thompson QC said it had been suggested the alleged hit and run was a figment of his imagination, Mr Beech said: "I know what happened. I was there and I know it took place".

The court has heard that two police forces found no evidence of such an incident ever taking place in the area and had traced and accounted for everyone called Scott from the school.

Strangling allegation

The court also heard allegations of two further murders Mr Beech claims to have witnessed.

In one, he described being taken to a London house in a chauffeur-driven car with another boy. He told the court Harvey Proctor, the former Conservative MP, opened the front door.

He then claimed that Mr Proctor stabbed and strangled the boy to death. Mr Proctor told the court last month that Mr Beech's allegations against him were false, horrendous and "an absurd fantasy".

Mr Beech said he could not remember how the incident ended and never told anyone out of fear.

He said he later came to believe the allegedly murdered boy was Martin Allen, who went missing in London nearly 40 years ago.

The court has heard police investigated whether Martin was that boy after Mr Beech apparently identified him in a photo shown to him by a BBC reporter.

And... what was their conclusion????

Mr Beech told jurors the third alleged death occurred when he and three boys were at an alleged London abuse session with Lord Brittan, Mr Proctor and Sir Michael Hanley.

He claimed Sir Michael told the boys one of them would die that night and they had to choose.

The defendant said sexual abuse followed before they singled out one boy. "He was crying and they told him that he could save himself if he chose one of us instead."

He said the child refused to reply so they started hitting him. He claimed the boy ended up "just like a doll - he wasn't moving, he was just left there".

'Snake bite'

In his evidence, Mr Beech also described "pool parties" during which he claimed powerful men frolicked with boys, sometimes performing sexual acts in the water.

He also told jurors about alleged "Christmas parties", in which the boys were the "present" and would be "unwrapped" until they were naked.

Mr Beech said punishments were dished out by his abusers involving snakes and wasps.

He told the jury that on one occasion he was shut in a dark cupboard and a snake was thrown in, which bit him.

The trial continues.

As I said above, these stories are most likely made up. But if you read the stories in the links above, you will see there have been many pedophile rings, and even murders in high levels of society in Belgium, Holland, Scotland and, no doubt elsewhere. It would almost be odd for there not to have been one or more in England.

Dolphin Square, Lord Brittan, Murder, Child Rape - All A Hoax?

Child sex abuse 'fantasist' is charged over hoax claims he was kidnapped and held at gunpoint

Robert Mendick, chief reporter , Telegraph

A ‘fantasist’ who accused Lord Brittan of child sex abuse sparking a 12-month police investigation is now being prosecuted over false claims he was kidnapped and shot at.

The man was charged after making a series of hoax emergency phone calls to police alleging he was under attack on at least three different occasions from gun-toting gangs.

The accused, known as ‘Darren’ but whose real name cannot be disclosed for legal reasons, had previously claimed he had witnessed two murders committed by a VIP paedophile ring, prompting a police inquiry.

Darren falsely claimed Lord Brittan, the former Home Secretary, was part of the ring that abused children in a flat at Dolphin Square.

The investigation was closed in September 2015 after detectives could find no evidence to support the lurid claims.

But Darren went on to lodge a complaint with the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) that personal and sensitive details surrounding the case had been leaked to the media, including The Telegraph.

The watchdog launched an investigation into Detective Chief Inspector Paul Settle, the former head of the Metropolitan Police’s paedophile unit, which remains ongoing after more than 15 months - and despite the fact Darren has now been charged over the hoax calls.

DCI Paul Settle

A source said Darren had telephoned police on a number of occasions, claiming he had been kidnapped; attacked by gunmen; ambushed by an armed gang; and also shot at.

A friend of DCI Settle, an experienced detective who had warned against the 'baseless witch hunt' of VIPs such as Lord Brittan, told The Telegraph: “It is disgraceful that Paul Settle is under investigation by the IPCC when the police themselves have charged Darren with effectively being a fantasist for making hoax calls. It is utter madness.”

Harvey Proctor, a former Conservative MP whose life was destroyed after being falsely accused of being a member of the VIP paedophile gang, said: “It is utterly preposterous that Paul Settle is investigated over claims made by the man who has now been charged with being a fantasist.”

Darren had told detectives that he had been present at two possible murders – one of a 15-year-old girl at a flat in Dolphin Square used by senior politicians close to the Palace of Westminster and of a man with Down’s syndrome killed on a private estate in Suffolk with links to the Establishment.

He also alleged the man with Down’s syndrome was tortured to death on the estate when he was tied to two cars. “Both vehicles then slowly reversed and I heard a scream. I think he must have passed out because he made no more sound,” Darren told a now discredited news website Exaro in February 2015. His claims led to six people being interviewed by police under caution.

Dolphin Square

A Telegraph investigation in September 2015 showed how Darren was a deeply troubled witness, who had been jailed for two years in the 1990s for making hoax bomb calls and threats to neighbours. A judge accused him of telling “some pretty whopping lies” while Darren also falsely confessed to the murder of a prostitute in the midst of a high profile police manhunt.

Darren had a troubled youth and had been in foster care for about six months when he was abused by his foster carer. He subsequently won a claim for Government compensation as a victim of crime.

The abuse sparked a bout of heavy drinking that led to him calling police and confessing to crimes he did not commit including the murder of a prostitute in what was seen at the time as a possible 'cry for help’.

Darren’s now discredited allegations about the VIP paedophile gang helped to bolster claims by another apparent fantasist, who can be identified only as Nick, who claimed he had witnessed three other murders.

Nick is now under a separate police investigation for perverting the course of justice.

An IPCC spokesman said of the inquiry into DCI Settle as a result of allegations made by Darren: “The investigation is progressing well.”

60 Minutes Does 30 Minutes on UK's VIP Pedophile/Murder Ring

England, Scotland, Holland and Belgium, all with a history of pedophiles in very high places covering up horrendous abuses of children

Covered up for decades, this disgraceful blight on British character is beginning to come to the light of day. 60 Minutes Australia shines a flashlight (torch) into the dreadful darkness of child sex abuse and child rape and even murder involving Lords, Members of Parliament, high ranking officials in the government and the #2 ranked spy in the Thatcher period. And yet the Westminster VIP pedophile ring continued into the 1990s, at least, as police investigations were often stopped cold from 'above'.

This story ranks up there with The Great Belgium Pedophile/Torture/Murder Scandal and Its Cover-up Part II, which will be the most-read story on this blog within a couple days.

It also ranks with the story - Demi and Nirvana in Great Danger as Police Pedophile Ring Gets Exposed.

And there is also a story I posted recently Scotland is in Desperate Need of an Inquiry into Child Sex Abuse and the Magic Circle

Demi and Nirvana van den Brink pictured

The first reveals prolific kidnapping, rape, sexual exploitation, torture, and murder of children in Belgium that was both enabled and covered-up by high-ranking people in the Belgian government. Political fallout from the case would ultimately bring about the resignation of Belgium's State Police Chief, Interior Minister, and Justice Minister.

The second chronicles government and police involvement in the abduction of a couple of young girls in Holland who have allegedly been sexually abused by a pedophile ring involving social services, police, and the girl's grandparents. It also involves Joris Demmink, who was in charge of the Dutch Justice Department for several years before being accused of pedophilia.  There was also the disappearance a more than one sexually abused child, never resolved.

The third story referenced is about Holly Greig, a Down Syndrome girl who was systematically sexually abused for many years and who's abuse is still being covered up because it involves top magistrates, sheriffs, lawyers and others in the Scottish Justice system, known as the Magic Circle.

Astonishingly, we are talking about four, very modern, western countries, so close you could almost throw a blanket over them. Yet all have, or have had, pedophiles in the highest levels of their Justice systems, and all of whom have been accused not only of child sex abuse, but of covering up a considerable amount of it.

Is it a local phenomenon peculiar to western Europe? Or is it something that all countries need to examine? Most countries would much rather continue to play the games they play and hope the people never really find out how prolific and horrible child sex abuse is and how endemic it is to positions of power and authority.

Please do what you can to raise the profile of this issue wherever you are. Children have no voice; we need to speak out for them. If you cannot do that, then at least pray for the victims and pray for those children who might become victims of this the worst atrocity man has ever committed.

VIP Child Sex Abuse: 14 New Corruption Inquiries into London Police Brings Total to 45

© Luke MacGregor
© Luke MacGregor / Reuters

British police are alleged to have covered up cases of child sex abuse perpetrated by VIPs over a 40-year period. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has launched 14 new inquiries into Metropolitan Police conduct.

The IPCC now has 45 investigations into alleged police cover-ups underway, all of which involve “prominent individuals” in British society.

They also share in common “allegations of corruption in the Metropolitan Police Service relating to child sex offences dating from the 1970s to the 2000s,” the IPCC said in a statement.

“They all concern allegations of suppressing evidence, hindering or halting investigations, or covering up alleged offences because of the involvement of prominent individuals or police officers.”

The probes will be carried out by the Met’s professional standards department with the oversight of the IPCC. The watchdog said investigations were launched after allegations of corruption were leveled by former officers.

The IPCC is also running probes involving Essex and Sussex police forces.

In February, the Met dropped a controversial investigation, dubbed Operation Midland, into claims of sexual abuse by high-profile establishment figures due to a lack of evidence.

However, detectives said Operation Midland’s central witness, known only as ‘Nick’, is still credible and that evidence to back up his claims does exist.

Nick’s testimony relates to the years between 1975 and 1984, and has implicated well-known members of the political world, including Lords Bramall and Brittan, who were not charged, but whose reputations suffered.

Critics of the investigation said the police had been taken in by fantasist whose claims are baseless.

Britain's VIP Child Sex Abuse Investigations to be Investigated

Police probed over handling of historic sex abuse allegations
Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Service Bernard Hogan-Howe. © Luke MacGregor / Reuters
An inquiry into police handling of historic sex abuse allegations will be launched and led by a retired judge, the Metropolitan Police has announced, amid claims the service has failed to examine claims thoroughly.

The review, led by Sir Richard Henriques, will investigate ways the police can avoid perpetrating “witch hunts” against innocent public figures, while remaining a point of safety for victims.

It is expected to examine the policy which currently states that “the victim should always be believed,” to decide whether it should still be applied in light of recent criticism.

It has been announced following criticism of the police by former military chief Lord Bramall and the late former Conservative Home Secretary Leon Brittan, who were both investigated following allegations of abuse.

Neither man was found guilty. They and their families claim they were unfairly treated by police and the media.

Met commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe will make the formal announcement, which he hopes will be taken into consideration when his contract is renewed in the coming month. His future is in doubt as a result of the criticisms.

Hogan-Howe will make a speech on Wednesday evening in which he is expected to elaborate on the issues raised in the complaints and lay out ways to tackle them.

He also faces calls to apologize to Bramall, who served in the D-day landings before rising through the ranks to become a military chief. Leon Brittan died in 2015 without knowing the police had decided there was no case to pursue against him.

Earlier in February, a review into the handling of the allegations against Brittan found that the main witness had not been “fanciful,” but stated the evidence was not strong enough to pursue a case.

It concluded that “any reasonable investigator could properly conclude that the allegations made by the complainant were far from fanciful and continued to be proportionate and justified.”

It was alleged that Brittan raped a 19-year-old woman in 1967. The report suggests police were given “a fairly compelling account of events” by a “competent witness” who displayed “no malice in her motivation.”

“Her accounts of her situation in 1967 are corroborated and it is plausible that she was moving in similar social circles to [Leon Brittan]. The early disclosures in later years provide some consistency in her account and she appears to have little to gain from making a false allegation.”

Operation Midland, which is examining allegations of sexual abuse by high-profile public figures, has received criticism by numerous Conservative politicians. It continues to investigate claims made against public figures. Police chiefs are braced for more cases.

Boys had Penises Cut Off at Boy's Home, Royal Commission Hears

After 2.5 years of reporting these stories chronicling the extreme depravity of man, you would think I could hardly ever be shocked; but, unfortunately, it still happens quite regularly. There are no depths to which men have not sunk in their moral deprivation.

NewsComAu
Sydney, Australia

A MAN who alleged his penis was cut off by a male staff member at a Sydney boys’ home was one of many children who were mutilated and severely abused at the facility, the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse has heard.

Daruk Training School in Windsor was home to hundreds of state wards and juvenile offenders from 1960-1991.

Daruk Training School was home to hundreds of state wards & juvenile offenders
Gordon Myers, 50, told news.com.au he was 13 when he was sent to the institution for the first time in 1978.

In his submission to the commission, Mr Myers said he was raped and bashed by various staff at the home on a regular basis over the five years he lived there.

He said a male staff member who “didn’t like little boys with foreskins” used to perform illegal and botched circumcisions on the children at Daruk.

“He cut my penis off,” Mr Myers told news.com.au.

“I had just turned 13. He took me into the clinic and said ‘we have permission to circumcise you’. I said ‘no you don’t’.

“He knocked me out with a needle and I woke up in the middle of it and there was (a second staff member there as well), I screamed in pain.

“Because I was so tiny, he probably thought, stupidly, ‘don’t give him as much anaesthetic to put him under’.”

Mr Myers said there was “blood everywhere” and that he was sent to Windsor Hospital where a surgeon “sewed (his) penis back on”.

He claims the hospital “covered up” the incident.

A spokeswoman for Hawkesbury District Health Service — which replaced Windsor Hospital — told news.com.au there were no records of the incident because they had likely been destroyed.

“Having checked with our hospital’s Medical Records Department, the records for the old hospital would have been destroyed if the patient had not presented again within a certain period of time,” the spokeswoman said.

“The Medical Records manager confirmed that she has previously discussed the subject with the patient identified, and advised that unfortunately no records can be located.”

Mr Myers said his penis “never grew” as a result of the trauma.

“All the nerve endings aren’t there,” he said. “It was a complete reattachment of the top of it.”

He said the deformity had a profound effect on his life.

“I can’t have children and I can’t have sex,” he said.

Mr Myers provided news.com.au with copies of medical documents which reveal Dr Philip Sutherland examined him in March this year for his submission to the Royal Commission.

“I can confirm that the size of Gordon’s penis and scrotum are childlike,” the report read.

Mr Sutherland referred Mr Myers to urologist Stephen Ruthven for further assessment.

Dr Ruthven concluded in a report sighted by news.com.au that Mr Myers had “testicular microlithiasis”, a condition where small clusters of calcium form in the testicles.

Dr Ruthven could not be reached for comment yesterday.

Daruk Training School dining hall
Mr Myers said he was not the only child whose penis was severed by the staff member at Daruk Training School.

“Every now and then he’d grab a kid to rape or circumcise and I was one of them,” he said.

Mr Myers said he was returned to the boys’ home following surgery.

“(The staff member) wanted to have another go and rape me a second time,” he said. “He raped me heaps of time before that but I wasn’t going to let that happen again.

“I just lost the plot and flogged him. I turned very violent.”

Mr Myers said dozens of boys were brutally, sexually and physically abused by staff at the home and that the perpetrators hadn’t been brought to justice.

He said an extensive cover-up linked to a VIP paedophile ring had protected the offenders and prevented them from being investigated.

Senator Bill Heffernan recently campaigned for the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse to expand its investigation to include the judicial system.

In October this year he told Senate estimates that he had given the commission “very disturbing” police documents that named at least 28 alleged paedophiles, some of whom were prominent Australians.

But he said the commission had told him it could not investigate the cases because they were outside its terms of reference.

Carl Orme, as a child
Carl Orme, 50, told news.com.au he was also a resident of Daruk Training school in 1978.

Mr Orme said he was routinely physically and sexually abused by several staff members at the home and that one at the school often taunted the boys and severed some of their penises.

“There was a male (staff member) there, and I will never forget his name,” Mr Orme said. “He was a very sick man.

“He’d start fondling with you and things and he would always threaten to circumcise everyone. “He used to scare you and everything, he’d get scissors out and grab hold of the old fella’ saying, ‘I’m going to cut it off if you don’t sit still, I’m going to cut your willy off’.

“His excuse was ‘it’s clean to be circumcised’.”

Mr Orme said the new arrivals were often the staff member’s main targets.

“Sometimes he would tell one of the boys that he liked, especially the new arrivals, and then take them back to the hospital,” he said.

“Then a couple of days later, that same little boy would come back so traumatised, everyone felt for him, as most boys had already been in the same position.

“I was taken to the hospital and told that they were going to circumcise me. I went off my brain and started to fight the officers in the room.

“I threw everything that I could at them, as I’d heard that two months before, one of the little boys had his penis cut off and I was so scared, and wasn’t going to allow anything like that happen to me.

“All my life I have wondered about that little boy, I still to this day try and think of his name. I also wonder whether he made it through life.”

The Royal Commission into Child Sexual Abuse is the largest Royal Commission in Australia’s history. It is focusing on the sexual abuse of children in institutions that were supposed to care for them.

After being granted an extension last year, the commission will now conclude at the end of 2017.

More Than 300 British 'VIPs' Being Investigated for Child Sex Abuse

More than 300 'VIPs' being probed over sex abuse in wake of Jimmy Savile scandal

Sex abuse: Police are investigating complaints against hundreds of VIPs
More than 300 ‘VIPs’ are being probed by police over historical sex abuse allegations, the officer in charge of the investigations revealed.

Chief Constable Simon Bailey, of Norfolk police, revealed that 302 people in the public eye - including TV and radio personalities, athletes and politicians - were on the radar of his Operation Hydrant team following complaints.

Hydrant was set up to coordinate probes into child sex abuse at state institutions - such as hospitals, children’s homes and schools - or carried out by those with “public prominence”.

It was launched last year in the wake of the Jimmy Savile scandal and other high profile abuse cases.

Mr Bailey, the police national lead on child abuse, said 2,156 people had been identified as suspects, including the 302 VIPs. The last update in May saw 261 well-known names under suspicion.

He believes historic child abuse allegations are, after fighting terrorism, the “biggest policing challenge of the 21st century”.

Mr Bailey revealed the prominent figures were made up of 147 are television and radio personalities, 17 sports stars, 39 from the music industry and 99 elected officials.

“But the data increases on a weekly basis,” he said. “We have alleged abuse in 753 institutions to date and 286 deceased offenders.”

The Hydrant commander said he is in the process of drawing up new guidelines for investigating officers on how to handle witnesses and alleged offenders.

The move comes after the public naming of alleged abusers - and the damage to their reputation that comes with it - but where cases have proved impossible to build.

But Mr Bailey said all witnesses had a right to go to police with the confidence they would be believed and then work to have their stories corroborated.

He told The Sunday Times: “If you are a victim of crime and you have the confidence and courage to report that crime, it doesn’t have to be sex abuse, it could be that you’ve been burgled, you would expect to be believed.

“That doesn’t mean there is then complete blind faith and we don’t look at the evidence and seek corroboration.

“This is not somebody coming in and someone saying, ‘Right, you’ve told us that, so that has categorically happened.’”

Scotland Yard Special Branch 'Blocked Investigations Into Historical Child Sex Abuse by MPs'

Special Branch and senior police are accused of sinking investigations into historical child sex abuse by VIPs, MPs and officers in new corruption allegations against Scotland Yard.

The new claims being examined by Scotland Yard are in addition
to 17 announced earlier in the year
Press Association

The police watchdog (IPCC) set out 12 new cases relating to the Metropolitan Police's investigation of paedophile activities spanning four decades.

It means 29 separate claims are being assessed in a probe conducted by the force and overseen by the Independent Police Complaints Commission, while a decision has not been made on how another 18 allegations will be dealt with.

The inquiry, mainly sparked by allegations made by retired Met officers, will examine suggestions that evidence was suppressed, investigations halted and offences covered up because of the involvement of MPs, VIPs and police officers

The Met's Special Branch, which dealt with high-level policing including national security, featured in three of the latest claims. One centred on allegations about an attempt in the 1970s to interfere in an investigation that would have revealed an MP to be involved in child sex offences.

The section's officers are also said to have taken over an investigation into child sex offences committed by an MP which was then shelved.

Another claim that Special Branch covered up evidence relating to an allegation that a serving Met Police officer was involved in a paedophile ring in north London is being assessed.

It is also said that, following instructions from senior officers: a prosecution against a government official in possession of indecent images of children was not pursued; a probe into a paedophile ring in the 1970s was shut down early; police failed to investigate child sex offences involving an MP; and an MP was arrested and then released without charge after a probe into a south London paedophile ring in the 1980s.

In addition, the corruption probe will examine claims that:

:: A senior officer threatened to close an investigation into a paedophile ring in the 1980s if it uncovered evidence against VIPs

:: Paperwork and evidence disappeared, including documents relating to abuse involving an MP who was released without charge

:: An investigation into child sex abuse in central London in the 1980s was halted when it became apparent that an MP was involved

:: An MP was only charged with "specimen" counts for child sex offences, rather than more numerous or serious charges

:: Officers were threatened with the Official Secrets Act if they discussed the releasing without charge of an MP following an inquiry into a south London paedophile ring in the 1980s

Sir Edward Heath ex Prime Minister of UK
It is understood the allegations relate to claims involving more than one MP.

Essex Police are also under investigation over an allegation that intelligence was provided by a witness during a separate investigation indicating that an MP was involved in child sex abuse and this was not followed up.

Scotland Yard said that since March it has referred a total of 47 allegations to the IPCC concerning historical allegations of impropriety by police officers when dealing with sexual abuse between 1970 and 2005.

A spokeswoman said: "The IPCC has decided to manage 29 of those investigations; we await a decision on the remaining 18.

"We would encourage anyone who has information or knowledge of how these historic cases were investigated to come forward and assist with the investigations."

The development comes amid questions about current inquiries linked to historical abuse.

Ex-home secretary Leon Brittan
The Daily Mail reported that an internal investigation has been launched into Operation Midland after detectives found no evidence that establishment figures were responsible for killing three boys in the 1970s and 1980s.

Last month former Tory MP Harvey Proctor, who has been questioned over the claims, insisted he was a victim of a "homosexual witch hunt".

Former prime minister Sir Edward Heath and ex-home secretary Leon Brittan, both now dead, have also been named in connection with the probe.

The complex web of inquiries took a dramatic twist last month when it emerged that an alleged cover-up of child sex allegations against Sir Edward was at the centre of a corruption probe into Wiltshire Police.

An independent inquiry established by the Government under Justice Lowell Goddard to examine historical abuse claims opened earlier this year.
