Shock and outrage have been caused by the case of a 26-year-old nurse who is being prosecuted for sexual assaults on infants and child pornography, with the matter coming to light through a viral video on the TikTok platform.
More specifically, a 26-year-old nurse from Paris is facing serious charges of sexually assaulting infants and possessing and distributing child pornography.
The crimes were committed at the Montreuil hospital, in the northern suburbs of the French capital, between December 2024 and January 2025. The case came to light following the publication of a viral video on TikTok, which referred to a “scandal in a hospital.”
The nurse, who worked in the neonatal intensive care unit, was suspended and went to the police station on Wednesday night, where she named her 28-year-old partner as the instigator. Her partner is accused of complicity, and both defendants are under judicial supervision, despite the prosecutor’s request for their pre-trial detention.
The video, which has garnered over 1.4 million views, describes the appalling acts committed by the accused, with the video’s creator alleging that “two people who work close to infants” are committing abuse with sexual motives. He calls for action to ensure justice is served.
The prosecution notes that the crimes were not racially motivated, with the two infants identified as victims of the nurse being of different ethnic backgrounds. According to the prosecution, one is white and the other is Black.
The case has sparked deep concern among the public, with many mothers reaching out to the hospital administration requesting information about the possibility of other victims. The investigation is ongoing, and the public remains shocked by the extent of the crimes.
