GATESVILLE, Texas (KWTX) Andre-Marco McIntosh, 32, of Copperas Cove, was sentenced to life in prison without parole Monday after pleading guilty to charges stemming from the sexual abuse of two children over the course of two-and-a-half years.
One of the victims, a boy, said he was abused weekly over that period and the other, a girl, said she was abused every other week.
McIntosh denied the abuse when officers first interviewed him, but then scheduled the guilty plea after he was indicted, Coryell County District Attorney Dustin Boyd said.
Copperas Cove police began an investigation on April 1, 2015 after a girl and a boy, both of whom are younger than 14, made outcries about the abuse, which they said had been taking place since 2012.
The children were sexually assaulted “multiple times,” Copperas Cove police said in a press release Wednesday.
Mcintosh was arrested without incident on April 8, 2015 at the Copperas Cove Police Department, authorities said.
