Evil woman boasted about pub trips & cocktails on ‘girls’ night’
after letting 7 kids starve in filthy house of horrors

A SHAMELESS woman downed cocktails on boozy girls' nights and went sightseeing in London while leaving seven children in a squalid home.
Gemma Brogan, 41, and Christopher Bennett, 35, squandered the £7,000-a-month in benefits meant for five of the kids.
Meanwhile the children, aged between four and 17, were forced to share the filthy three-bedroom home with 36 dogs.
One of the kids, aged seven, was found by police wearing just a nappy and covered in animal faeces asleep on a sofa near a dead dog.
Officers only discovered another of the children had blonde hair after it was washed several times, while the rest all had rotten teeth.
At one point, eight children had lived in the house of horrors in Eastbourne, East Sussex, but a boy had moved out in July.
It can now be revealed Brogan enjoyed a drunken night out on August 5 - after she had been charged with seven counts of child neglect.
Her open Facebook profile shows her sipping a cocktail in what looks like a swanky bar.
Brogan, who was jailed for six years alongside Bennett on Monday, also pictures of her posing with a pal and a photo showing two large jugs of booze.
She captioned the pictures: "Girls night out".
Just days later, Brogan shared pictures from a sunny day out in the capital.
Brogan was solely paid £84,000-a-year in benefits, which is understood to have been made up of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) payments for five of the children.
Despite the massive amount of taxpayer cash flooding her account each week, the ex-dance teacher never flagged up on the system.
The Crown Prosecution Service did not reveal how the benefits were broken down in court.
According to guidelines though, anyone who applies for DLA can be paid up to £156 a week for each child under 16 that requires it.
Brogan could also boosted the payments by claiming for other benefits such as carer's allowance, universal credit and child benefit, the Daily Mail reports.
Sentencing, Judge Stephen Mooney said: "How do you have 35 dogs, £7,000 in benefits, how is this allowed to happen?"
Horrified locals told how the children were scarcely seen leaving the filthy home.
But one said if they did, they were "always unkempt and dressed in absolute rags".
Schools in the area also had extensive records of concerns for the children and neighbours claim they reported them to social services.
Lewes Crown Court heard police were called to home after Bennett phoned 999 claiming he was going to stab Brogan.
Bodycam footage shows police wrestling through the hoard of dogs, who were desperate to escape, into the disgusting house.
They found the house reeking of dog waste with "little or no food" in the fridge and filthy bedding.
Bennett can be seen yelling "you're having a laugh" at police as they lead him away from the house on suspicion of child neglect.
Children's services carers found the youngest children did not know how to wash or brush their teeth.
They were all underweight, pale and could not sit at a table or use a knife or fork.
One child was so neglected she was unsteady on her feet, was incredibly weak, displayed bizarre eating habits and had no social skills.
Another had to visit a dentist to have 13 rotten teeth removed, while one could not read or write and did not know the weeks or months of the year.
The court was told the couple had a "toxic relationship".
East Sussex County Council confirmed a safeguarding review has been launched but would not comment further while the case was ongoing.

Paedophile who paid adults to abuse children jailed for 25 years

Ian Wynter paid a man in the Philippines to abuse a two-year-old boy for him via video call, police said
A paedophile who paid vulnerable people in Asian countries to carry out the "sickening" sexual abuse of children has been jailed for 25 years.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) said Ian Wynter, 59, directed the abuse of two different two-year-old boys via video calls on numerous occasions.
In online chats with other offenders, he described himself as being "sexually attracted to babies and toddlers".
Wynter was also found to have 17,000 indecent images of children.
Wynter, from Loughborough, Leicestershire, was arrested by the NCA in January 2020, and detectives recovered thousands of online chats that showed him speaking with offenders based all over the world.
Chat logs and financial records showed Wynter had paid a man in the Philippines to abuse a two-year-old boy for him via video call on multiple occasions in 2019.
Messages show the man telling Wynter he is in financial difficulty and needs money for "milk and diapers". Wynter later passed on the contact details of the Filipino facilitator to another online user, who he said was willing to pay "$125 up front for a show".
The facilitator has since been sentenced to 15 years in prison in the Philippines and local authorities safeguarded the child, the NCA added.
'Most horrendous abuse'
Wynter also paid another male facilitator in Indonesia for several video calls of him abusing a two-year-old boy in 2018. In this case, the man said the money would help pay for his diploma.
As well as discussing raping children among other "fantasies", Wynter also advised others on how to carry out abuse without getting caught.
At Leicester Crown Court, he pleaded guilty to 13 charges, including multiple counts of encouraging the sexual assault and rape of a child under 13, and was sentenced on Wednesday.
Tony Smith, from the NCA, said: "Ian Wynter is a prolific sexual offender who caused very young children to suffer the most horrendous abuse at the hands of willing facilitators, giving them specific direction and financial reward."
CPS prosecutor Bethany Raine added: "Wynter demonstrated sickening depravity by paying adults to sexually abuse children in video calls and exploiting innocent children in other parts of the world."
Sex offender, 63, bleeds to death after suffering gruesome
injuries in abandoned estate

A SEX offender bled to death after suffering gruesome injuries in an abandoned estate, an inquest heard.
Reginald Alan Roach, 63, was found unconscious in an old Wales industrial area by a dog walker.
Roach was covered in blood as his genitals had been sliced off, which is thought to be his cause of death.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection to the convicted sex offender's death.
An inquest was today opened by Kate Sutherland, an acting senior coroner for north west Wales.
Mrs Sutherland gave Roach's provisional cause of death as "shock and hemorrhaging due to incised wounds removing genitalia", North Wales Live reported.
She adjourned the hearing to a later date as she was awaiting the results of further investigations.
Roach was due to appear in court about a week before his death but had failed to show.
The 63-year-old had faced a charge of failing to comply with notification requirements in relation to the sex offenders register at Caernarfon Police Station on September 13. He had been expected to enter a plea that day.
Roach had to register as a sex offender after an incident in August. He had asked Travelodge Hotel staff to place a bet on for him - while he was naked from the waist down.
At the time defence solicitor Tudur Owen told the court Roach suffered a serious brain injury when he was younger.
Mr Owen said there didn’t appear to be a sexual motive to what happened. He said Roach had been a “nuisance” and had apologised to staff.
Roach admitted exposing himself and was given 16 weeks suspended jail term.
He was asked to pay £150 compensation to the worker who was disgusted by his behaviour.
He also had to register as a sex offender.
Cops today said they were not looking for anyone else in relation to Roach's death.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police told The Mirror: "Following our statement earlier this week regarding the death of a man who was discovered collapsed at Parc Bryn Cegin, Llandegai, the Coroner today opened an inquest.
"Following a Home Office Post Mortem, and to end unhelpful speculation, we can confirm that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death of Reginald Alan Roach, but would renew our appeal for anyone who saw an elderly man, approximately 5’8” tall and wearing blue jeans with a grey hooded top in the area between 10am on Saturday, November 5th and 9am on Sunday, November 6th to please contact us on 101 quoting reference B168289.
"We will not be making further comment as the matter remains with the Local Coroner."
