India: Muslim principal sexually abused an 11-year-old Hindu girl, forced her to marry him
Islam-prompted pedophilia in India reaches a new low after a Muslim school principal not only made romantic advances toward an 11-year-old Hindu girl and forced her to marry him, but also sexually assaulted her. Shakeel Ahmed, the principal of a government-run school in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested for his despicable act of sexually exploiting an 11-year-old Hindu girl, who was also a student at his school. Ahmed, who holds a key position at Primary Junior High School in Talibnagar of Jawan Block, Aligarh, was known to keep a close eye on his female students, who are mostly minors.
But the victim in this case was not only a minor, but also a pre-teen. Despite her extremely young age, Shakeel had started to make romantic advances towards her. He had pressured this child to marry her, and when she refused, he took to molesting her by touching her private parts. Being aware of how academics matters in Hindu families, he threatened the child with lower scores or failing her in exams as well.
On the evening of August 23, the girl came back from school looking distressed and unhappy. Concerned, her mother approached her to ask what was wrong.
Overwhelmed with fear, the girl broke down in tears and revealed the painful ordeal she had been enduring. The mother was left stunned by her daughter’s disclosure that the middle-aged school principal of her school first sweet-talked her into his trap and then told her that he loved her and wanted to marry her.
According to the copy of the FIR available in an Indian media outlet, the girl also told her mother that, “The school principal Shakeel Ahmed has bad intentions and touches my private parts. He also puts his finger in my private parts. When I oppose him, he threatens me and says that if I tell anything to anyone, he will fail me in the exam.”
The girl’s mother has filed a formal complaint with the District Magistrate and the SSP regarding the incident, and also reported the incident to the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA). A Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) is a district-level government officer in India responsible for overseeing primary and basic education within their district. The role involves ensuring the proper functioning of government primary schools, supervising education officers, investigating irregularities, and taking action against teachers if any misconduct is found.
Following the complaint, the Block Education Officer carried out a detailed inquiry. Based on these findings, BSA, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, suspended Shakeel, stating that a thorough investigation is now underway. He further added that proceedings to terminate the accused from his job will also be initiated. Meanwhile, outraged villagers gathered at the local police station to stage a protest demanding action.
Even though this is among the most horrific recent cases of pedophilia, it has received very little attention in mainstream media. The reason is readily apparent and undeniable. The victim is a Hindu girl, and the accused is a Muslim man. The religious identities of the victim versus that of the perpetrator don’t suit the narrative of the usual noise-makers in the field of media, entertainment, or politics in India. Had the religious identities in this case been reversed, the reaction would have been entirely different. There would likely have been massive protests on the streets, heated debates in the parliament, and outrage echoing across countries where the Indian diaspora lives. The so-called liberal lobby, which often panders to Muslim sentiments, would have gone to great lengths to paint the community as perpetual victims in India. The stark contrast in response exposes the deep hypocrisy and double standards that plague India’s popular discourse. Such selective silence not only reveals the deep-rooted bias in media reporting but also raises serious concerns about justice and accountability.
Cases of Hindu girls being targeted, groomed, or trapped in love jihad incidents, as well as instances of sexual exploitation by Muslim perpetrators, are unfortunately not new in India. What makes this case especially shocking, however, is that the accused is not an uneducated street criminal, but an educated principal of a government school, a person entrusted with safeguarding children. Worse still, his victim was not even a teenager, but an 11-year-old student under his care. This chilling incident underscores the grave threat faced by ordinary Hindu girls, who remain vulnerable to predatory Muslim pedophiles even in supposedly safe spaces such as schools.
