Prosecutors allege that 39-year-old Rufino Leandro-Osorio, of
Mardela Springs, committed the alleged abuse between 2020 and
2026. One of the victims was a member of his household, according
      to court records.

In total, Leandro-Osorio could face an over-300 year maximum sentence
if convicted on all 30 counts, which include several felonies.

on June 24. He is currently being held without bond following an initial appearance in
Wicomico County Circuit Court on Thursday, June 25.

Palm Beach County man gets 25 years in
prison for child sexual abuse material offenses

A man was sentenced to 25 years in prison after
he was caught with more than 100 files of child sexual abuse material, Palm Beach County
         State Attorney Alexcia Cox
        announced Friday.

Travis E. McCree pleaded guilty to five counts of child sexual abuse material, three counts of
transmitting material harmful to a minor and one count of using technology to solicit a child for
unlawful sexual conduct, the State Attorney's Office said.

The court designated McCree a sexual predator.

McCree was arrested Oct. 24 following an investigation that began while he was serving probation
as a sex offender in Broward County. The case was prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys
        Nicole Corring and Christopher Morgan.

Berkeley man sentenced to life for child sexual abuse

A Berkeley County jury has convicted a 50-year-old man
of repeatedly sexually abusing a child, resulting in 5 life sentences without the possibility of parole.

Joseph Ray Truesdell Sr. was found guilty June 24 of five counts of
first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and one count of
third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, according to the
Ninth Circuit Solicitor's Office. Judge Jennifer B. McCoy sentenced
Truesdell to life without parole on all five first-degree convictions and
15 years on the third-degree conviction.

Prosecutors said the abuse began when the victim was 6 years old and
continued for several years. During the trial, jurors heard testimony from
law enforcement officers, a forensic interviewer with the Kay Phillips
Child Advocacy Center, a pediatric sexual assault nurse practitioner,
the victim, a teacher and a friend who the victim confided in.

Jurors also viewed a recorded forensic interview conducted when the child was 10 years old.

An expert witness also testified about child sexual abuse dynamics, including grooming and
the ways children disclose abuse, according to prosecutors. Truesdell testified in his own
        defense during the trial.

Solicitor Scarlett A. Wilson said the case highlighted the challenges some child victims face
when family members do not support their allegations. According to the solicitor's office, the
victim's mother repeatedly attempted to pressure the child to recant. Prosecutors said
the mother later pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice but testified for the defense
        during Truesdell's trial.
