Online retailers Shein and Temu still selling child sex dolls?

Shein, Temu face more pressure after claims pleas on sex dolls were 'ignored'

Warning: This story contains details of child sexual abuse.

Temu and Shein are under increasing pressure to explain how child sex abuse dolls were sold worldwide on their multi-billion-dollar platforms following international outrage.

The dolls — depicting little girls as small as 60 centimetres tall and roughly the same weight as a child — have been sold on the two Chinese-based marketplaces in Australia for more than a year.

On Wednesday, Shein claimed the company removed the illegal dolls as soon as they became aware of them.

"Shein confirms that the products in question were immediately delisted as soon as we became aware of these issues," a Shein spokesperson in Australia told the ABC.

"We take this matter extremely seriously."

But Collective Shout (CS) campaigner Caitlin Roper said CS exposed the listings of the dolls in September last year.

"We [CS] approached the company with our concerns — but were ignored," she said.

"It is clear that corporates like Shein will only act ethically when compelled to do so."

The ABC has seen emails and messages sent by CS campaigners to a senior Shein employer.

Child sex abuse dolls sold in Australia

Two weeks ago, the ABC reported the two retailers were selling child sex abuse doll torsos and disembodied heads in Australia.

On some listings, the heads were advertised as "adult" hairdressing and make-up mannequins in what campaigners said was a bid to get around Australian laws.

A Temu spokesperson in Australia told the ABC on Thursday that the platform did not allow the sale of childlike sex dolls or similar items.

"Listings that violate our policies are removed as soon as they are detected, and we continuously strengthen our systems to prevent them from appearing," the spokesperson said.

Two months ago, the ABC asked the Attorney-General's Department if it was aware that Temu and Shein were advertising the illegal dolls online.

A spokesperson replied with an email outlining the law, but did not respond to the ABC's questions on whether they were aware of the illegal listings.

On Thursday, the ABC asked the Attorney-General's office what measures Child Safety took after being notified of the dolls in September.

They did not answer the specific question, stating only: "The National Strategy to Prevent and Respond to Child Sexual Abuse 2021-2030 (National Strategy) is a nationally coordinated, strategic framework for preventing and responding to child sexual abuse in all settings."

"The National Office for Child Safety is in the process of developing the Second Action Plan under the National Strategy, which will build on the foundations laid by the First Action Plans and respond to emerging issues."

France's probe into childlike sex dolls

On Wednesday, France suspended access to Shein's website and launched an investigation into Temu following public outrage over the sale of the dolls.

Shortly after, the French government urged the European Union to take similar action and sanction Shein for breaching European regulations.

Shein banned the sale of sex dolls on its site globally after France threatened to block the Chinese fast-fashion retailer from the French market on Monday.

Shein pulled the dolls from its website on Sunday, and the following day suspended the "adult products" category from the platform.

Shein said it had sanctioned the sellers and that it was prepared to share the names of people who have bought such dolls.

The Paris prosecutor's office said it had opened investigations against Shein, and also rival online retailers Temu, AliExpress and Wish, over alleged dissemination of content including child pornography on their marketplaces, the Paris prosecutor's office said.

A Temu spokesperson said that accusations against the company were connected to minors accessing certain products on its platform, and not the sale of childlike sex dolls.

Temu has since delisted all sex dolls from its platform.

The probes were for distributing "messages that are violent, pornographic or improper, and accessible to minors", the office said.

The investigations were launched after France's anti-fraud unit reported the platform for selling illegal products on Saturday, after receiving an anonymous tip.

The fight with Shein came just as the company planned to open its first-ever permanent shop in Paris on Wednesday.

Shein says it has a "zero-tolerance stance toward child sexual exploitation".

"We have taken immediate corrective actions and are reinforcing our internal controls to prevent this from happening again," a Shein spokesperson said.

Child Sexual Abuse > Nova Scotia man charged with importing child sex dolls; Teen girl gang-raped in Toronto suburb

Sex doll seized by Canadian border agents

in Ontario, man from N.S. charged

A 43-year-old Nova Scotia man is facing child pornography charges after a child sex doll was seized in Hamilton, according to RCMP.

According to Nova Scotia RCMP’s Provincial Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, Canada Border Services Agency officers in Hamilton intercepted the doll while examining international courier shipments that had arrived in the country by air.

“The doll had originated in Japan and was addressed to an importer residing in Digby, Nova Scotia,” RCMP wrote in a release.

“Working with CBSA Intelligence Officers in Halifax, the seizure was referred to the Nova Scotia RCMP ICE Unit for further investigation.”

RCMP executed a search warrant at the residence on Oct. 17 and seized more child sex dolls and “other evidence supporting both child pornography and smuggling charges.”

“Child pornography is most commonly known and understood as sexual images or videos of children,” said Const. Mandy Edwards of the RCMP Provincial ICE Unit, in the release.

“However, child pornography can also be written, or in audio forms, or as in this case, a visual representation such as a child sex doll. Child pornography in all its forms is considered harmful and is prohibited by the Criminal Code.”

The man has been released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Digby Provincial Court on Jan. 6, 2025.

Police said they responded to reports of a sexual assault shortly before 1 a.m. on Oct. 6 in the area of Norwood Avenue and Jane Street.

Investigators allege a female was approached by a group of “at least five males” she did not know.

“The males brought the female to a secondary location where they sexually assaulted her,” police allege, adding in a statement to Global News that location was nearby and “public.”

Police told Global News the girl is under the age of 18 but older than 12.

Officers are looking for five suspects, all described as being between 15 to 18 years old.

Police said one suspect was last seen wearing a red crewneck sweatshirt and red pants, another wearing a black Nike sweatshirt and the third was possibly wearing a grey Nike sweatshirt. The fourth suspect was described as last wearing a white T-shirt with a design on it, possibly with the word “Supreme.”

The fifth suspect was described as having dreadlocks that extend to his eyebrows and was last seen wearing a dark-coloured “Denim Tears,” a hooded sweatshirt and  black pants.

Fury as 37 probes into child sex exploitation in Telford collapse
with no convictions

The new figures come as predator released halfway through his 18-yr prison sentence

By Geraldine McKelvie, The Mirror

Dozens of probes into child sex exploitation in Telford have collapsed – with NO convictions.

Over the past decade 37 investigations into child sex crimes involving more than one alleged attacker failed to bring anyone to justice.

The new figures sparked outrage just days after it emerged predator Ahdel Ali, 33, was released halfway through an 18-year jail term.

Victims – who gave police at least 267 names – fear some of the worst sexual offenders are still at large in the Shropshire town.

One, whose case collapsed after she gave police the names of 68 men, told the Sunday Mirror: “It’s really wrong. These men are getting away with it and their abuse ruins lives.”

Many of her claims were backed up by diary entries but the Crown Prosecution Service said there was no realistic prospect of a conviction.

Another victim added: “The system is stacked against us. So many people report abuse but nothing happens and when perpetrators do get jailed they get out early. It’s a slap in the face. Sex offenders should be made to serve their full sentence.”

Ali and his brother Mubarek, 37 – caged for trafficking children – were nailed by Operation Chalice in 2012.

That investigation began in 2009, a decade after officers were warned of an abuse epidemic during a probe into the murder of Lucy Lowe, 16.

They were given 110 names but it is believed the total involved was 200.

Although 51 were arrested, just 13 were charged and seven convicted.

That's about a 3.5% conviction rate. Third world countries do better than that.

More on Ahdel Ali and why it is so shocking that they let him out, again.

He led a trafficking gang that also involved his brother Mubarek and five other men over a three-year period, which targeted 100 vulnerable teens.

Ahdel was convicted to 18 years in 2012 - but he has now been released after serving just a third of his sentence, The Shropshire Star reported.

The Ali brothers' gang promised money, food and alcohol to their victims - who they referred to as 'sl**s' - and in return they worked as prostitutes between 2006 and 2009.

The brothers were both convicted of multiple offences against four girls, aged between 13 and 17, including controlling child prostitution.

The siblings were both married at the time of the offences.

Two years ago The Sun Online reported how Ahdel needed forty stitches after being targeted with a makeshift knife by another prisoner at HMP Wakefield.

The news of Ahdel's release was confirmed by Telford MP Lucy Allan. She has previously been critical of the decision for him to get released in 2017, only for him to breach the terms of his licence and get thrown back inside.

Telford has the third highest number of child sexual offences recorded in the UK, according to the Home Office. It became known as one of the worst places in the nation for child sex abuse, with as many 1,000 girls abused there since the 1980s.

And just seven Pakistani predators convicted!

Ms Allan had called for an extensive enquiry similar to one seen in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013.

It found that local authorities failed to act on reported in relation to an extensive operation of child sexual abuse dating back to the late 1980s and up to the 2010s.

Need I mention it again, Pakistani, Muslim predators, believe that is it quite alright, even an act of worship to Allah, to rape young British girls. Mohammed told them so in the Quran.

The man who was hit with 13 charges was granted bail under strict conditions, however the woman who received 11 charges was formally refused bail.

They are both due to reappear in court on February 16 next year.

As the investigation progressed officers also apprehended a 35-year-old man during a vehicle stop in the southwest suburb of Minto on Thursday.

The alleged offender was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and formally charged with a range of child sex crimes, as well as conspiracy to obtain financial advantage by deception and driving a motor vehicle while disqualified.

Police said the man was known to the young girl he is alleged to have sexually assaulted.

He was refused bail at Campbelltown Local Court today.

Investigations under Strike Force Dowell are continuing.

Colombian girl, 10, gives birth after being 'raped

A 10-year-old girl has given birth in Colombia with officials reporting she may have been raped since she was eight years old.

A state governor told local media that the child is believed to have been abused by either her stepfather or a 23-year-old building worker.

The young girl, who has not been named, is being kept at a medical centre in the city of Ibague in the Colombian department of Tolima.

She is reported to be from the municipality of Prado in Tolima.

It is not clear from local media reports when the birth occurred.

I suggest they do a DNA analysis on both the step-dad and the building worker. Step-fathers, and I am one, do not have a good reputation on this blog.

Isle of Wight Businessman, Peter Tomlinson Pleads Guilty
to Heinous Online CSA
Published at: 18th December 2020 11:09
Island Echo

Peter Tomlinson, a prominent Island businessman who is accused of paying over £5,000 to watch children as young as 10-years-old being sexually abused via the internet, has pleaded guilty to the 12 charges against him following an appearance at the Isle of Wight Crown Court today (Friday).

Tomlinson, 63, of Baring Road in Cowes, appeared before Portsmouth Magistrates Court
(6th story on link) last month following a major National Crime Agency investigation, which involved law enforcement in the US. When arrested by NCA officers in October last year he said: “The thing you’re looking for is on my computer in there. It is my escape from reality. That is all it is.”

That's not all it is! It's the lives of several, if not hundreds of children being ruined for a few dollars and for the lust of millions of perverts.

Peter, a member of the Catholic church, appeared before the Isle of Wight Crown Court this morning and pleaded guilty to all 12 charges against him. He was accused of 5 counts of paying for the sexual services of a girl under 13; 2 counts of causing or inciting the sexual exploitation of a child under 13 and 2 counts of intentionally encouraging/assisting the commission of an either way offence. He was also accused of 3 counts of making indecent photographs/pseudo photographs of a child, namely 47 Category A, 148 Category B, 353 Category C photos and 46 extreme photos.

The court heard how Tomlinson paid £5,511 via 127 transactions to accounts in the Philippines between May 2015 and April 2017 – all for suspected live-streamed child sexual abuse. The NCA uncovered evidence that between May 2018 and February 2019, he repeatedly paid a female facilitator in the Philippines for the live-streamed abuse of 2 young girls. The youngest was just 10 when the abuse began.

In one exchange in January 2019, Tomlinson said he would pay the woman £7.66 if she performed a sex act on the girl. Investigators unearthed proof of thousands of messages between Tomlinson and the Filipino facilitator – who has been arrested and the children safeguarded.

During 358 video calls and 4,166 messages, Tomlinson repeatedly asked for ‘harder’ abuse footage, spelling out what he wanted to see and then complaining about what he received. In June 2018 he paid the woman £12.99 and then complained saying for that price: “I will expect a show with two girls for 30 minutes.”

Communication between Tomlinson and the woman was at all times of the day and night, even when he was working and in meetings.

The National Crime Agency is continuing to investigate evidence of more victims of live-streaming abuse, including an indecent image of a girl aged about 8.

NCA operations manager Phil Eccles has said:

“Peter Tomlinson believed he could carry out his sickening offences from the comfort of his own home and get away with it. He was directly responsible for the most heinous abuse of children thousands of miles away from him.

“Live-streaming sex crimes exploits the vulnerable; he was helped in this case by facilitators whose motive is to make money.

“Live-streaming is a key threat to the UK, and one of the main forms of financially-driven offending, for which the Philippines remains a key hub. The NCA does important work with international law enforcement partners in the Philippines to combat these sorts of crimes.

“Anyone like Tomlinson should know that the NCA and UK police will never give up our pursuit of offenders who commit these horrific crimes.”

Tomlinson will now appear before the court again on 5th March for sentencing, with it being acknowledged that he faces a lengthy custodial sentence. He has been remanded in custody until that date.

The former JR Zone owner, who now has to sign as a sex offender, has also been involved in several other local organisations over the years including Education Destination and Betapak, although he resigned from being a director of these firms in October following his arrest. JR Zone has since changed ownership.

The media and other businesses were made aware of rumours that Peter had been arrested in October last year when a round-robin email was sent out by an unknown whistleblower. It couldn’t be reported at the time due to the ongoing legal proceedings. It can now also be revealed that Tomlinson attempted to take his own life at his home in Cowes, but was resuscitated.

Peter’s wife, Catherine Tomlinson, who remained as a director of a number of Island businesses including BetaPak and Education Destination until 8th December this year, continues to support him.

Good grief!

Covid 19 doesn't slow down criminal activity, but AFP seems to be making a difference

COVID-19 may have changed the world of Australians in 2020, but not the world of crime – for Australian Federal Police (AFP) Eastern Command there has been a significant increase in investigations, seeing more than 1000 child exploitation-related charges laid and 22.4 tonnes of drugs stopped from reaching the community.

AFP Assistant Commissioner Eastern Command Justine Gough said the extent of operational activity in NSW has not slowed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with 282 offenders charged with Commonwealth offences this year.

“We have seen criminal syndicates attempting to import commercial quantities of illicit drugs through various methods, from drugs hidden in hydraulic cylinders to banana pulp, with drug seizures increasing 113% from 10.5 in 2019 to 22.4 tonnes in 2020,” AC Gough said.

AFP Eastern Command’s Child Protection Operations team has seen the consequences of more alleged offenders spending an increasing amount of time online this year, producing, sharing and accessing horrific child sexual abuse material.

The large-scale child protection investigation known as Operation Arkstone has unfolded against the backdrop of COVID-19. It began in February and has since resulted in 39 child victims identified in NSW, with nine men arrested in NSW for approximately 600 charges, ranging from producing or accessing child abuse material through to bestiality offences.

“Australia is a safer place for children in NSW thanks to the tireless work of our investigators and their counterparts. These are unimaginable crimes against some of the community’s most vulnerable, but we hope our work ensures offenders are put before the courts and gives the child victims a better life.”

The AFP-led Criminal Assets Confiscation Taskforce (CACT) has also achieved significant results in 2020. In NSW alone, the CACT restrained $32 million worth of assets from criminal entities, which is a 183% increase since last year.

“These funds are being redirected by the Commonwealth Government to crime prevention, law enforcement and other community initiatives. It’s about taking the profit out of crime and putting that money to better use.”

In October, in an Australian first, a Belgian tourist convicted in NSW as part of Operation Veltelan resulted in a child sex offender having their assets restrained as a result of their offending. The activity is part of the new and aggressive strategy by the AFP-led CACT, announced in 2020, to confiscate the assets from offenders who sexually exploit children and profit from the distribution of horrific child abuse material.

After a months-long investigation, sparked by the alleged online purchase of childlike sex dolls and school uniforms, two men have been arrested.

Detectives were tipped-off to the alleged online purchases in August, and about 7.45am on Wednesday, raided a home on Davidson Place in Menai.

There, police found two men, aged 40 and 37, as well as electronics, a sex doll and a number of knives.

Police will allege in court a computer and several phones seized during the raid had child abuse material on them.

The men were both charged with possessing child abuse material and were held at the Sutherland Police Station.

Bail was refused and the men are expected to face court on Thursday.

Mastercard and Visa investigate Pornhub ties over child abuse allegations

The world’s largest credit card networks said they could cut ties with Pornhub and its Canadian parent company MindGeek over the issue.
Dec. 7, 2020, 10:48 AM PST
By Ryan Browne, CNBC

Mastercard and Visa are investigating their business relationship with Pornhub after allegations that the popular porn site is hosting child sexual abuse content.

The world’s largest credit card networks said they could cut ties with Pornhub and its Canadian parent company MindGeek over the issue.

It comes after a column in The New York Times detailed claims of underage sex, rape and revenge porn videos running rampant on Pornhub.

The report cites a number of first-hand accounts from victims who have appeared in such videos. Many said they were left traumatized and suicidal from the ordeal, according to the NYT.

“Any assertion that we allow CSAM (child sexual abuse material) is irresponsible and flagrantly untrue,” a Pornhub spokesperson told CNBC. “Pornhub is unequivocally committed to combating CSAM, and has instituted an industry-leading trust and safety policy to identify and eradicate illegal material from our community.”

And if you believe that, you might be interested in the tropical island I have for sale on the Labrador coast...

Mastercard is “investigating the allegations raised in the New York Times” and “working with MindGeek’s bank to understand this situation,” a spokesperson for the company told CNBC.

“If the claims are substantiated, we will take immediate action.”

Visa said it is “aware of the allegations” and was “actively engaging” with relevant financial institutions and MindGeek to investigate.

“If the site is identified as not complying with applicable laws or the financial institutions’ acceptable use policies and underwriting standards they will no longer be able to accept Visa payments,” a Visa spokesperson told CNBC.

Over the weekend, billionaire investor Bill Ackman slammed Pornhub and said that American Express, Visa and Mastercard “should immediately withhold payments or withdraw until this is fixed.”

American Express says it has a global policy that prohibits the acceptance of its cards on digital adult content sites.

PayPal, meanwhile, stopped processing payments to Pornhub last year.

NZ man jailed for more than 15 years on 72 child sexual exploitation charges

Denise Piper, Stuff
13:26, Dec 09, 2020

A Northland man who pleaded guilty to more than 70 charges of child sexual exploitation has been jailed for 15 years and five months.

Brent James Ruddell
, 34, from Kerikeri, earlier admitted sexual violation of children as young as 3 and filming his acts among the mass of charges.

The offences occurred in Tauranga from 2016 and Kerikeri from 2017 to 2019 against five victims who were family friends.

In the High Court in Whangārei on Wednesday, Justice Mark Woolford sentenced Ruddell to 15 years and five months in prison, with a minimum non-parole period of eight years.

In court, the mothers and grandmothers of the unnamed victims spoke of how they trusted Ruddell as a father and family friend, and he exploited their vulnerabilities to gain access to their young children – including asking for a playdate with his own child.

One mother said she had fallen in love with Ruddell and felt ongoing guilt for introducing him to her daughter. After the abuse, the daughter developed separation anxiety and found every day at school a struggle, the woman said.

“What you have done is one of the worst crimes,” she told Ruddell. “I think it's absolutely disgusting that after you abused my daughter you continued to have a relationship and have sex with me.”

Unfortunately, it is not unusual for a paedophile to have a relationship with a woman to get access to her child/children. They are that low in moral character.

The woman said that as long as Ruddell was alive, he would continue to exploit children. “Brent, you’re nothing; you’re less than nothing,” she said.

Judge chokes up at victims’ courage

Justice Woolford had to hold back tears when he thanked the packed courthouse at the end of the long sentencing.

“I want to thank everyone who attended today for their courage and the dignity that they have [shown] in this traumatic time.”

Earlier, the judge found that Ruddell’s sexual violation offences were in the same category as rape, and that he showed planning and pre-meditation of his offending against vulnerable victims, aged 3 to 6.

“Their lives have been shattered,” Woolford told Ruddell. “It will take many years for the victims to recover from your shocking sexual abuse.”

The judge said he calculated the sentence by starting with 18 years in prison for the sexual violation, increasing it to 22 years for recording the abuse and possessing objectionable publications.

He refused to give Ruddell a discount for his lack of previous convictions – due to the offending being prolonged over three years – nor would he give a reduction for remorse beyond pleading guilty.

However, the judge did give a 30 per cent discount, mostly for Ruddell’s early guilty plea as well as some recognition of his upbringing, which included sexual, physical and psychological abuse.

Justice Woolford said he did not think preventive detention was necessary to protect the community from Ruddell’s reoffending, but ordered a minimum jail time of eight years.

Charges include Customs offences for images

Ruddell’s offences include a Customs charge of exporting prohibited goods, for exporting two images which depicted the sexual exploitation or abuse of a child.

His other offences include 12 charges of sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection, two charges of unlawful sexual connection with a female under 12, 41 charges of knowingly making an objectionable publication of child exploitation by filming his abuse, and 11 charges of possessing an objectionable publication with knowledge.

He also has a representative charge of unlawful possession of objectionable material and a representative charge of distributing objectionable material, with the charges representing more than 1000 offensive photos against toddlers and young children.

Ruddell’s offences also include one charge each of abduction for sex, possession of cannabis and possession of a methamphetamine pipe.

He was charged after Customs started investigating the exportation – or uploading – of child sexual exploitation images onto a social media platform. A search warrant in November 2019 uncovered Ruddell’s own videos and photos of his sexual violation against the children.

‘This should serve as a warning’ – Customs, police say

The sentencing was welcomed by Customs and police, who worked together with Internal Affairs to identify the victims in Ruddell’s publications.

Child sexual exploitation materials are crime scenes of abuse, said Simon Peterson, chief Customs officer – child exploitation operations team. “Sadly, we’re seeing that there is an increasing amount of crossover between those who deal in child sexual abuse material, and those who physically offend against children,” he said

“Today’s sentencing is further evidence of the strength of a joint-agency approach to stopping child sexual exploitation, and increasing the safety of victims and our communities.”

Detective Inspector Rhys Johnston from Northland Police says Ruddell upended the lives of several families through his shocking offending, which had left lasting impacts on his victims and their families.

“The nature of offending by this predator was horrific and our absolute priority was identifying the children involved as quickly as possible.”

Johnston said the case should serve as a warning to child sex offenders, that New Zealand was connected to a “highly effective” international network detecting offenders trading objectionable material online.

Former WA police officer accused of abusing two children over a decade

Sarah Steger, PerthNow
December 8, 2020 4:11PM

A former WA cop has been accused of sexually abusing two young girls — raping, indecently dealing with and assaulting the children for a decade while working for the WA Police Force.

The 71-year-old man, who retired from the force 24 years ago, is facing seven child sex abuse charges involving to two young girls who were five and 10 years old respectively when the alleged abuse first began.

It is alleged that over 10 years, between 1988 and 1998, the man indecently dealt with a child under the age of 13 three times.

He is also charged with one count of raping a child under 13 years, two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of having a sexual relationship with a child under the age of 16.

Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad charged the Greenmount man late last month as a result of their investigations into historical child sexual abuse allegations.

He will face Perth Magistrate’s Court today.

The genius of evil is relentless in its creativity

You can order a child sex doll to look like some kid you know and want to violate

PUBLISHED: 18:33 EST, 8 December 2020

Sick child sex dolls modelled on a 14-year-old girl have been sold on a popular shopping site and shipped across Australia.

One seller on Etsy, with the username Sexy Lady Fox, confirmed the dolls at the store were modelled off a 14-year-old Instagram star.

Perverts were also able to send in a photo of a real child to have the 156cm dolls, the same height as an average 13-year-old girl, customised, NCA Newswire reported.

Australian sexual assault advocacy group, Collective Shout, posed as an interested buyer and provided the store with two computer-generated images of children. The seller responded they could 'change the wig' to make the doll 'very similar to the pictures you sent me'.

Etsy removed the shop from its platform after being informed of the seller. Daily Mail Australia has contacted Etsy for comment.

Childlike sex dolls are considered child sex material in Australia and their importation carries a penalty of up to $555,000 and 10 years in prison.

Sexy Lady Fox, who identified themselves as Federica, said the shop was 'selling the most required real dolls on the market'. 'To be honest, if I think that somebody (will) buy and use a real doll instead doing something wrong with a young girl, I'm grateful,' the seller explained.

Perhaps for a brief period of time. But sin is progressive, and it will be just a matter of time before the pervert needs the real thing.

Caitlin Roper, the Collective Shout campaign manager, said child sex dolls 'legitimise and normalise men's sexual use and abuse of children'.

'Defenders of child sex abuse dolls claim that they could prevent child abuse, but there is no evidence for this,' she told Daily Mail Australia.

'There was a case in Florida this year where a child sex abuse doll was apparently modelled on the image of an eight-year-old girl posted to social media.'

Ms Roper said customisable sex dolls were 'a new technologically-mediated way to victimise children'.

'Even when child sex abuse dolls are not necessarily being advertised, some sellers will customise dolls to appear child-like, or even based on buyers specifications.

'Men could commission child sex dolls to be made of children they know, children in their care, children whose images have been publicly shared to social media, or children they have seen out in public,' she explained.

Australia has seen a spike in childlike sex doll imports with the Australian Border Force seizing more than 100 dolls in less than five months to November 18.

At least 191 dolls have been found this calendar year, in comparison to 145 in the whole of 2019.

The majority of dolls were discovered in packages from mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore.

Someone should find the shops where they make these and drop a bomb on them.

Detectives have charged a childcare worker following an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse of a four-year-old girl on the state’s South Coast.

Earlier this week, detectives from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation following reports a four-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted by a man while in his care.

Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested a 54-year-old man near Mollymook about 12pm yesterday (Tuesday 8 December 2020).

A crime scene warrant was subsequently executed at a vacant home near Mollymook, where investigators conducted a thorough examination of the property.

The man was taken to Ulladulla Police Station and charged with take/detain person with intent to obtain advantage, intentionally sexually touch child under 10 years and aggravated sexually touch another person.

Police will allege in court the man took the girl to a vacant property while she was in his care at a South Coast childcare centre, before sexually touching her on two occasions between February and December 2020.

The man, who is a childcare worker, was refused bail to appear at Nowra Local Court today (Wednesday 9 December 2020).

Investigations are continuing.

As I have written many times - Please don't hire a male carer for your children. There are way too many stories on this blog of such creeps. Men have no business being caregivers. There is never a good reason for a male to want to be around someone else's children full-time.

A man from Scotland has been ordered to stand trial for alleged child sex abuse offences in Belfast up to 30 years ago.

The 44-year-old accused appeared at the city's Magistrates' Court on Tuesday to face a total of six charges.

He is not being named to protect the alleged victim's identity.

The defendant, with an address in Glasgow, is charged with two counts each of making an indecent photograph of a child, indecent assault on a female, and gross indecency with a child.

The alleged offences were committed over a period from 1990 to 1995.

During a preliminary enquiry hearing the man confirmed that he understood the charges against him but declined to give any evidence or call witnesses at this stage. His lawyer did not dispute prosecution submissions that he has a case to answer.

District Judge Fiona Bagnall then granted an application to have him sent for trial at Belfast Crown Court. She released him on continuing bail, to return for arraignment on a date to be fixed.
