This report neglects to mention that the Taliban are extremely devout Muslims who practice Sharia Law. This is Islam taken to its logical conclusion. As such, women and teenage girls must be invisible in society. At least, that's their interpretation.

Sept. 12 (UPI) -- The U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights on Tuesday accused the Taliban of committing grave human rights violations and warned that Afghan human rights are in a "state of collapse."

"Violations of human rights in the country are not new: decades of armed conflict mean that Afghanistan has known violence and injustice for much of its recent history," High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk said during remarks delivered for the 54th session of the U.N. Human Rights Council.

"But the dynamic imposed by the Taliban since they took power two years ago constitutes a systematic assault on the rights and freedoms of the population, which particularly targets women and girls and excludes them from most aspects of public and daily life."

Since reclaiming power in the summer of 2021, the Taliban have taken a number of steps curtailing women's rights.

"The shocking level of oppression of Afghan women and girls is immeasurably cruel. Afghanistan has set a devastating precedent as the only country in the world where women and girls are denied access to secondary and higher education," Turk said.

In December, the Taliban banned women from attending universities and prohibited women from working in non-governmental aid organizations, leading to many NGOs withdrawing their staff.

The U.N. Security Council said the move was "undermining human rights and humanitarian principles in the country."

The Taliban have also barred women from taking medical school exams, effectively barring women from practicing medicine.

In August, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan said it had recorded credible reports that the Taliban had committed hundreds of extrajudicial killings.

The difference between here and Egypt, where they just outlawed face-covering niqabs from schools, is dramatic. One wonders if the Taliban will target Egypt for their transgression of Afghanistan's interpretation of Sharia?

The molestation of Hindu girls, especially minors, by Muslims is a growing menace in India. Unfortunately, no state-level institution or authority has acted with the necessary stringency against such crimes. As a result, girls are repeatedly becoming victims of such pedophiles and perverts.

In one of the latest incidents, reported from Uttarakhand, over 100 girls have reported being molested by three tailors. The victims, students of a residential school in the Khatima area of Udham Singh Nagar district in Uttarakhand, have alleged that three tailors who came to take their measurements for school uniforms between August 22 and September 6 had touched them inappropriately during the process.

Police arrested two of the three tailors, Mohammad Umar and Mohammad Shakil, on Tuesday, September 12. Both the accused are residents of Khatima. They have been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (Pocso) Act and various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including section 354 (outraging the modesty of a woman). 

The arrests, however, didn’t come easily. The girls had to struggle to make their voices heard and knock on various doors before any action was taken on the disgusting perversion they were made to suffer. As suggested by reports, school staff members were present when the girls were being measured for their dresses. Ideally, the indecent acts should have stopped right after the first girl was molested in the presence of her teacher, who, in turn, should have taken swift action to not only stop the molestation, but also have the tailors thrown off the school premises. But it seems that none of that happened.

After multiple girls — around 100 as per reports — were harassed by these tailors, they shared their experience with a teacher. But the matter escalated only after the victims’ parents raised their concerns vociferously. After the parents filed a formal complaint with the Khatma Police through the president of the Parent-Teachers Association, the matter was brought to the attention of authorities.

Responding to the complaint, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khatima Ravindra Singh Bisht and his police team reached the school. SDM Bisht reprimanded the school staff for their apparent negligence, leading to the detention of the vice principal and two other teachers for dereliction of duties and responsibilities. The district’s SSP, Manjunath TC, has informed that female police personnel were also dispatched to gather statements from the impacted children. The tailors were investigated and detained as well. The school’s CCTV footage was examined before taking action against the accused. “The DVR of the CCTV camera has been seized, and investigation has revealed that the tailors were guilty of molesting the girls,” confirmed SDM Bisht.

These repulsive acts are reminiscent of the Ajmer Serial Rapes of 1992, where again, hundreds of Hindu schoolgirls were targeted and raped by Muslims, and some were compelled to commit suicide out of humiliation. Even in terms of recent happenings, this is not the first time female students have faced harassment in an educational institution at the hands of Muslims. In July, three Muslim students of Netra Jyoti College of Udupi, Karnataka, identified as Alimatul Shaifa, Shabanaz and Aliya, allegedly hid cell phones in bathrooms to record private moments of females from the Hindu community. They then forwarded these videos to the male students of their community through WhatsApp and later shared the revealing footage on social media.

In August, a similar case was reported from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh, where Mantasha Kazmi, a first-year Government Homeopathic Medical College student, was accused of stealthily recording objectionable photos and videos of her fellow hostel residents and sharing this material with a senior male student, Mohammad Amir. As per reports, Mohammad Amir used these intimate images and videos to blackmail the girls.

In both the above-listed cases, there were deliberate attempts first to silence the victims and then whitewash the incidents as pranks or random isolated instances of lesser importance.

In the latest case of Khatima, what was shocking and unacceptable was that the school itself appointed the tailors accused of molesting the students. One would expect a school to be more vigilant and careful about individuals they invite inside the premises and give easy access to their students, who are minor girls. Not only was that initial due diligence missing, but the teachers also didn’t take cognizance of the matter and allowed the girls to be harassed by the tailors.

With India being targeted by a Muslim-pandering global media that regularly accuses the country of becoming hostile towards the Muslims under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, are all kinds of activities by Muslim perverts being treated mildly in order to uphold dear secularism?

Former teen athlete shocked at sexual misconduct complaint outcome

Former championship wrestler Madison Payette is speaking out after learning her suspended former coach could return to working with young athletes by 2025, even though a disciplinary panel found that, on a balance of probabilities, he had sexually assaulted her when she was 17.

A former provincial championship wrestler who came forward claiming her coach sexually assaulted her at a party when she was a teenager is disappointed with what she describes as the "ridiculous" Canadian complaints process, saying it left her afraid for the safety of other young athletes. 

Madison Payette, now 26, learned last month that her old coach, Aso Palani, had been suspended after a disciplinary panel found, on a balance of probabilities, that he had assaulted her when she was 17.

The coach was suspended for three years, half of which is already over — meaning he will be free to return to work with youth in February 2025.

"It's ridiculous," said Payette, speaking in an exclusive interview with CBC.

"You're going to say that it did happen, on the balance of probability … but you're only going to give him three years? And you're willingly going to let him go and continue to work with minors?

"It's absolutely shocking."

Palani, 36, "vehemently" denied the allegation of sexual assault during the hearing. He did not respond to requests for an interview and plans to appeal the decision. 

Despite the panel finding in her favour, Payette says her case highlights the grueling reality of the patchwork sports disciplinary process in Canada, which is still inconsistent across the country despite public discourse calling for improvements for years. 

For all the talk around safety in sports, Payette says, the reality behind the scenes is still far more difficult for athletes who step forward.

Wrestling Canada added Palani's name to a list of suspended coaches in March 2022, but the full decision from the B.C. Wrestling Association — which explained the reason for his suspension — was not made public for seven weeks, despite repeated requests from Payette's legal team. 

The decision was posted online Tuesday, the day after CBC News contacted Wrestling Canada to request an interview.

In a statement, the national organization said "there was never a decision not to publish the full details of the suspension."

Decision describes night of party

Payette started wrestling as a high school student in her hometown of Edmonton. Under her father's coaching, she went on to compete provincially and nationally, as well as for the University of Alberta.

She met Palani when he started coaching three days a week at the Edmonton Wrestling Club in 2012. At the time, Palani was also a member of the Canadian national team and registered with a wrestling club in B.C.

Payette claimed Palani used his reputation to gain her trust.

"He was giving me all the attention that a 17-year-old girl would have wanted. He told me I was special. He told me that I was mature for my age … you want to believe all these things."

Payette went to a house party hosted by university athletes in Edmonton in December 2013, a few weeks after her 17th birthday. She said Palani also went to the party, which she called "unusual" for a coach.

The disciplinary decision said the rest of the group left to go to a nearby bar. Payette, who was still underage, stayed behind with Palani.

Payette told the disciplinary panel that Palani gave her alcohol, led her to a bedroom, removed all of her clothes and forced her to perform oral sex on him.

She said the assault stopped when two university athletes, both men, came back from the bar early.

"I was 17 years old. I really hadn't had any dating experience. I didn't know how relationships were supposed to work. And then you have this adult who's been put on a pedestal, basically, you know, he's your head coach. He's a national team member," said Payette.

During the disciplinary hearing, Palani said he did not attend the party in question and did not interact with Payette that night. He denied flirting with Payette during his time as her coach.

Palani did not respond to repeated requests for comment by CBC.

Edmonton Police confirmed they received a complaint from Payette, but said the file is currently closed. Palani has not been criminally charged in the matter.

In its decision, the disciplinary panel criticized what it described as Palani's attempts to attack Payette's character and credibility "on multiple fronts" during the hearing. The decision said the coach and his lawyer questioned her mental health and whether she was too intoxicated to remember what happened.

Palani also implied "girls who cry on the witness stand are unreliable," according to the decision.

Leslie McMillan still remembers the night she dragged her intoxicated friend, Ali, out of their high school music teacher's hotel room.

"She's lying on his bed, on her back, totally passed out, pants undone," recalled McMillan. "I knew in my gut what had happened."

It was May 1987 and they were on a school trip to Montreal. Ali was in Grade 11 and the teacher was near mid-life, married with children.

What happened that night remained unreported until last fall when Ali, now 53, went to York Regional Police to report what she believed was sexual exploitation and assault. 

"He was 39," Ali told CBC. "I cannot imagine getting sexually involved with a 17-year-old."

CBC News has agreed to withhold her last name as she continues to pursue justice. 

In November, a detective videotaped an interview with Ali and took the names of potential witnesses — 35 years after the band trip.

Though there is no statute of limitation for sex crimes in Canada, no one would call on McMillan, or anyone else, to testify what she and others saw as teenagers.

In fact, the detective told Ali there would be no case. 

"What he did wasn't illegal," said Ali, explaining what the officer told her. "There was no law on the books at the time."

A suspect can only be charged with violations listed in Canada's Criminal Code at the time of the alleged infraction. Sexual exploitation — a charge commonly used against teachers and other people in positions of authority for crimes against someone under 18 — became law in January 1988.

That was seven months after Ali's hotel incident.

It's a situation not unlike the Rohingya in Myanmar. In Myanmar, Muslim Rohingya moved into the western province over the past couple of centuries and began to grow in numbers. Deeply Buddhist Myanmar sees them as a threat to their religion and culture, which they are, of course. 

The Uighurs, also Muslim, moved into China's western province from central Asia and, as Muslims do so well, they grew in numbers. In Beijing's mind, they are an increasing threat against the communist state.

History reveals that Islam is a threat to existing cultures and religions everywhere they go. I most certainly do not condone what China is doing to the Uighurs, or what Myanmar is doing to the Rohingya. My point is that Islam will become dominant wherever it settles and that unless European countries are willing to capitulate and take on Muslim ideology, there will soon come a time when they will be facing the same situation as Myanmar and China. The longer the situation is ignored, the more difficult the problem will be to solve.

Women in China's "re-education" camps for Uighurs have been systematically raped, sexually abused, and tortured, according to detailed new accounts obtained by the BBC.

The men always wore masks, Tursunay Ziawudun said, even though there was no pandemic then.

They wore suits, she said, not police uniforms.

Sometime after midnight, they came to the cells to select the women they wanted and took them down the corridor to a "black room", where there were no surveillance cameras.

Several nights, Ziawudun said, they took her. "Perhaps this is the most unforgettable scar on me forever," she said. "I don't even want these words to spill from my mouth."

Tursunay Ziawudun spent nine months inside China's vast and secretive system of internment camps in the Xinjiang region. According to independent estimates, more than a million men and women have been detained in the sprawling network of camps, which China says exist for the "re-education" of the Uighurs and other minorities.

Human rights groups say the Chinese government has gradually stripped away the religious and other freedoms of the Uighurs, culminating in an oppressive system of mass surveillance, detention, indoctrination, and even forced sterilisation.

The policy flows from China's President, Xi Jinping, who visited Xinjiang in 2014 in the wake of a terror attack by Uighur separatists. Shortly after, according to documents leaked to the New York Times, he directed local officials to respond with "absolutely no mercy". The US government said last month that China's actions since amounted to a genocide. China says reports of mass detention and forced sterilisation are "lies and absurd allegations".

First-hand accounts from inside the internment camps are rare, but several former detainees and a guard have told the BBC they experienced or saw evidence of an organised system of mass rape, sexual abuse and torture.

Tursunay Ziawudun, who fled Xinjiang after her release and is now in the US, said women were removed from the cells "every night" and raped by one or more masked Chinese men. She said she was tortured and later gang-raped on three occasions, each time by two or three men.

Ziawudun has spoken to the media before, but only from Kazakhstan, where she "lived in constant fear of being sent back to China", she said. She said she believed that if she revealed the extent of the sexual abuse she had experienced and seen, and was returned to Xinjiang, she would be punished more harshly than before. And she was ashamed, she said.

It is impossible to verify Ziawudun's account completely because of the severe restrictions China places on reporters in the country, but travel documents and immigration records she provided to the BBC corroborate the timeline of her story. Her descriptions of the camp in Xinyuan county - known in Uighur as Kunes county - match satellite imagery analysed by the BBC, and her descriptions of daily life inside the camp, as well as the nature and methods of the abuse, correspond with other accounts from former detainees.

Internal documents from the Kunes county justice system from 2017 and 2018, provided to the BBC by Adrian Zenz, a leading expert on China's policies in Xinjiang, detail planning and spending for "transformation through education" of "key groups" - a common euphemism in China for the indoctrination of the Uighurs. In one Kunes document, the "education" process is described as "washing brains, cleansing hearts, strengthening righteousness and eliminating evil".

The BBC also interviewed a Kazakh woman from Xinjiang who was detained for 18 months in the camp system, who said she was forced to strip Uighur women naked and handcuff them, before leaving them alone with Chinese men. Afterwards, she cleaned the rooms, she said.

"My job was to remove their clothes above the waist and handcuff them so they cannot move," said Gulzira Auelkhan, crossing her wrists behind her head to demonstrate. "Then I would leave the women in the room and a man would enter - some Chinese man from outside or policeman. I sat silently next to the door, and when the man left the room I took the woman for a shower."

The Chinese men "would pay money to have their pick of the prettiest young inmates", she said.

Some former detainees of the camps have described being forced to assist guards or face punishment. Auelkhan said she was powerless to resist or intervene.

Asked if there was a system of organised rape, she said: "Yes, rape."

"They forced me to go into that room," she said. "They forced me to take off those women's clothes and to restrain their hands and leave the room."

Some of the women who were taken away from the cells at night were never returned, Ziawudun said. Those who were brought back were threatened against telling others in the cell what had happened to them.

"You can't tell anyone what happened, you can only lie down quietly," she said. "It is designed to destroy everyone's spirit."

Mr Zenz told the BBC that the testimony gathered for this story was "some of the most horrendous evidence I have seen since the atrocity began".

"This confirms the very worst of what we have heard before," he said. "It provides authoritative and detailed evidence of sexual abuse and torture at a level clearly greater than what we had assumed."

New Delhi: India’s rights watchdog said more than a dozen tribal women were raped and sexually assaulted by police in restive Chhattisgarh state, with the victims’ lawyer slamming authorities over delays in arresting the accused on Sunday.

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) said at least 16 women were “victims of rape, sexual and physical assault” after it concluded an investigation into reports that police attacked several villages in Bijapur district during an operation against Maoist rebels in October 2015.

“Prima facie, human rights of the victims have been grossly violated by the security personnel of the Government of Chhattisgarh for which the State Government is vicariously liable,” the government panel said in a statement on Saturday.

The NHRC said it was in the process of recording the testimonies of 20 more victims who were sexually assaulted during the incident.

Several media reports at that time said police officers had raped or sexually assaulted at least 40 women in five villages and destroyed and looted homes during the anti-Maoist operation.

The reports said 11 women were gang raped,

including a 14-year-old girl and a pregnant woman

Police filed an initial complaint and launched an investigation over the allegations but no arrests have been made yet.

Kishore Narayan, who is representing 14 victims, told AFP that the panel has backed their claims and accused the police of deliberately shielding the culprits.

“The victims gave the names of the policemen involved in the barbarity but nothing has happened. They carried a sham investigation and are trying to obfuscate the case,” Narayan said.

He said they have filed a petition in the Chhattisgarh High Court demanding an investigation by a special police team from outside the state.

Activists often accuse Indian security forces of committing gross human rights violations including extrajudicial killings, arson and sexual assault in the conflict torn region.

India is fighting thousands of armed Maoists rebels in the so-called “Red Corridor” which passes through swathes of resource-rich areas of central and eastern India and is mostly inhabited by underprivileged tribes.

The guerrillas — inspired by Chinese revolutionary leader Mao Zedong — say they are fighting the Indian government for land, jobs and other rights for poor tribal groups, with thousands of lives lost in the decades-old insurgency.

New evidence has revealed how Islamic State fighters buy children as sex slaves and force them into marriage. Girls from Iraq and Syria told a senior UN official they were stripped, sold, and made to undergo over a dozen virginity reparation surgeries.

I knew this was done to little girls sold or abducted into sexual slavery in the far east, but was not aware of it in the Middle East until now. Virgins attract a much higher price than non-virgins in the sex-slave market.

“Girls are literally being stripped naked and examined in slave bazaars,” by Islamic State (IS, previously ISIS/ISIL) fighters, Zainab Bangura, Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict told the journalist during a briefing.

Bangura visited the Middle East between April 16 and 29 to talk to surviving rape victims. During her travels she stopped in Syria, Iraq, Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan. Bangura managed to interview women who had escaped and survived horrific sexual assaults at the hands of IS fighters.

The girls and children were treated like cattle, she said. They are “categorized and shipped naked off to Dohuk or Mosul or other locations to be distributed among ISIL leadership and fighters.”

One of the victims was married off over 20 separate times and after each time was forced to get a surgery that would repair her virginity.

“Women and girls are at risk and under assault at every point of their lives,” Bangura said, adding that this kind of violent treatment of women was actually encouraged as part of jihad.

“ISIL has institutionalized sexual violence and the brutalization of women as a central aspect of their ideology and operations, using it as a tactic of terrorism to advance their key strategic objectives.”

Horror and violence followed the girls “every step of the way…in the midst of active conflict, in areas under control of armed actors, at check-points and border crossings, and in detention facilities,” according to Bangura.

Militants even use trafficking, prostitution and ransom plots as a way to raise money, she added.

Sexual violence is used by IS as a tactic to punish, humiliate, and demoralize local populations, making it easier to get information from them and displace them.

As a result of these atrocities, these victims of child rape are growing into “a generation of stateless children,” who will remain vulnerable to IS recruitment tactics.

There have been reports that doctors have performed illegal abortions on pregnant girls as young as nine.

Mohammed legalized pedophilia for Islam

Many of the child victims are from the Yazidi religious minority in Iraq. Around 40,000 of them were reportedly kidnapped at gunpoint by IS militants last August. Other minorities at risk include Christians, Iraqi Turkmens and Shabaks.

A video surfaced on YouTube in November, showing IS militants laughing and joking while buying Yazidi slaves.

Many of the women have expressed feeling ashamed and are unable to restart their lives after surviving the brutal and humiliating attacks. No kidding! How do you go back to something resembling normal life after such horrific treatment. It's not like these girls/women are going to get counselling to deal with it.

Please pray for these girls/women who escape the sickening evil, and especially those still caught-up in it.
