Hundreds of schoolgirls poisoned in Iran to stop them
from getting education: Report
Youssef Nouri, the Minister of Education had called the reports about the poisoning of schoolgirls "rumours", claiming that the students taken to the hospital suffered from "underlying diseases".

Iranian state media reported that school girls in Qom city in South Tehran were ‘deliberately’ poisoned in order to restrain education for them. Younes Panahi, the deputy health minister of the country on Sunday also confirmed the news of the poisoning and said that it had been a deliberate attempt with the aim of shutting down education for girls. He, however, said that no arrest has been made in the case.
It is pertinent to note here that earlier, Youssef Nouri, the Minister of Education had called the reports about the poisoning of schoolgirls “rumours”, claiming that the students taken to the hospital had “underlying diseases”.
According to reports, the first such incident was reported in Qom, a deeply conservative and religious city, in November last year. Then the incident of about 18 girls getting ill together in a school in Qom city came to light. They were then taken to the hospital. All the girls reportedly felt difficulty in breathing along with vomiting, abdominal pain and a sharp sensation in their hands and feet.
Subsequently, girls from neighbouring cities also fell sick. Since then, hundreds of cases of respiratory poisoning have been reported among schoolgirls.
On Sunday, Majid Monemi, the deputy governor of Lorestan, said 50 female students of a high school in Borujerd, western Iran, were poisoned again.
“It has been revealed that the chemical compounds used to poison students are not war chemicals, and the poisoned students do not need aggressive treatment, and a large percentage of the chemical agents used are treatable,” he told a press conference.
“After the poisoning of several students in Qom schools, it was found that some people wanted all schools, especially girls’ schools, to be closed,” local media agencies cited IRNA state news agency, which in turn quoted Panahi as saying.
Homayoun Sameh Najafabadi, a member of the health committee of the parliament, also confirmed in an interview with the Didbaniran website that the poisoning of female students in schools of Qom and Borujerd is intentional.
Reports in local media say this could be the work of Islamist fanatics who want to prevent girls from attending school.
According to IRNA, on February 14, parents of the ill students gathered outside the city’s governorate to “demand an explanation” from the authorities.
The next day, government spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi stated the intelligence and education ministries were investigating the cause of poisoning.
Prosecutor General Mohammad Jafar Montazeri launched a judicial investigation into the event last week.

Significantly, the poisoning began in late November, amidst unprecedented protests against Iran’s regime for the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini in police custody. She was arrested by the ‘Morality Police’ in Tehran for “improper hijab”, which means she had not fully covered her hair. She was arrested by the police and then beaten in the police van while being taken to a detention centre, dubbed as a ‘re-education class’ for not conforming to the country’s mandatory hijab rules.
Soon after, Iran saw a wave of protests following her killing, with many women taking to the streets to take a stand. In support of the victims, a number of women, including schoolgirls, burnt their hijabs, and women everywhere chopped their hair in protest. Protests broke out in hundreds of places around the nation after her death.
The Police used brutal force to contain the protests, which died down after several weeks after the govt used excessive force to control it, where several protesters, including minors, were killed, and thousands were arrested.
The education of girls is a major threat to Islam's patriarchal society where stupid, uneducated men can still rule their families like tyrants, as per the Quran.

A survivor of a Muslim rape gang in the UK has said that her rapists would quote the Qur’an to her, and believed their actions justified by Islam. Thus it came as no surprise when Muslim migrants in France raped a girl and videoed the rape while praising Allah and invoking the Qur’an. In India, a Muslim gave a Qur’an and a prayer rug to the woman he was holding captive and repeatedly raping. And the victim of an Islamic State jihadi rapist recalled: “He told me that according to Islam he is allowed to rape an unbeliever. He said that by raping me, he is drawing closer to God…He said that raping me is his prayer to God.” In India, a Muslim kidnapped and raped a 14-year-old Hindu girl, and forced her to read the Qur’an and Islamic prayers. In Pakistan, another Christian woman recounted that her rapist was also religious: “He threw me on the bed and started to rape me. He demanded I marry him and convert to Islam. I refused. I am not willing to deny Jesus and he said that if I would not agree he would kill me.” Rapists demanded that another girl’s family turn her over to them, claiming that she had recited the Islamic profession of faith during the rape and thus could not live among infidels.
The Qur’an teaches that Infidel women can be lawfully taken for sexual use (cf. its allowance for a man to take “captives of the right hand,” 4:3, 4:24, 23:1-6, 33:50, 70:30). The Qur’an says: “O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.” (33:59) The implication there is that if women do not cover themselves adequately with their outer garments, they may be abused, and that such abuse would be justified.

Abdoulaye D., 53, brought the girls to his room in the former Adoma home in Nogent-sur-Oise (Oise) before sexually assaulting them. Sentenced this Monday, February 27 by the court of Senlis, he is also implicated in a case of rape of a minor.
It is difficult to convict someone in his absence, especially on charges as serious as sexual assault of minors. However, 53-year-old Abdoulaye D. did not feel the need to appear before the criminal court in Senlis on Monday. The courage to do so could only be found on the other side of the witness stand, where one of his young victims was standing.
She is now a young adult, but when she appeared with her mother at the police station in Creil (Oise) on April 25, 2012, it was a 10-year-old child who filed a complaint because she and three of her friends had suffered for several weeks. The man, who called himself “Uncle Abdoulaye” and lived in the former Adoma home on Avenue Saint-Exupéry in Nogent-sur-Oise, which has since been demolished, attracted little girls with the guinea pig he owned.

In the middle of Thursday afternoon, a ten-year-old girl was stabbed in the stomach and throat in central Gothenburg where she was with her grandmother and grandfather. A suspected perpetrator has been arrested. According to reports, the man must have chanted "Allahu akbar".
It was shortly after 12.30 that the police were called to Brunnsparken where a child had been stabbed. According to the police, the girl has been taken to hospital and the situation is described as critical.
- The child is bleeding from the stomach according to reports from the scene, says Thomas Fuxborg, press spokesperson at the police in the West region.
Witnesses at the scene are described as cut and have begun to be questioned. A large police operation was deployed in the park and a suspected perpetrator aged 35 has been arrested. The case is classified as attempted murder.

The reason for the assault is still unclear and the police see no connection between the perpetrator and the victim.

The man was convicted last winter of a crime and escaped prison as they thought they saw a "tangible improvement" in his life.
Good grief! Maybe there was a tangible improvement, but he's still a murderer at heart. Was he so much worse before, or was that tangible improvement a complete fake? Either way, it sure reflects poorly on Sweden's desire to protect its children.
According to information from the freelance journalist Joakim Lamotte, the perpetrator chanted "Allahu akbar" in connection with the assault.
