Islam Hates Girls, Music, and Fun > All concerts cancelled because of drought in Iran; Teen girls arrested for dancing online - Tehran

Islamic Republic of Iran: Music events canceled after Muslim cleric blames concerts for drought

A Shi’ite hadith depicts Muhammad saying: “And the person with the [sin of] singing (al-ghina’) will be raised [on the day of resurrection] blind, deaf and dumb. The person with [the sin of] adultery, of wood-wind, and of drum will also be raised in the same way.” And: “Whoever listens to the entertainment (song and music), lead will be melted inside his ear on the day of judgment.” (As-Sayyid al-Khu’l, al-Masa’ilu ‘sh-Shar’iyya, vol. 2, p. 22.) And: “Singing and music are enchantment for adultery.” (As-Sayyid al-Khu’l, al-Masa’ilu ‘sh-Shar’iyya, vol. 2, p. 23.)

Music events canceled in southwest Iran after cleric blames concerts for drought

Iran International, January 22, 2025 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

After a cleric attributed the lack of rain to concerts, the Islamic Republic’s local religious-ideological department canceled all music events in southwest Iran.

The Friday Prayer Imam of Abadan, a city known for housing the Middle East’s oldest oil refinery, recently criticized the granting of concert permits, calling them sinful and claiming that music events anger God, leading to a lack of rain.

Following Abdolhossein Ghobishavi’s statement, the provincial ideological department canceled several concert permits for February, according to local media reports.

This move contradicts an order from President Masoud Pezeshkian’s administration, which has instructed all official bodies and ministries not to block music events.

Since the establishment of the Islamic Republic in 1979, most forms of music have been banned from state television and radio….

Islamic Republic of Iran: Two girls arrested for dancing could face ‘years in prison or death penalty’

The Ayatollah Khomeini said it: “Allah did not create man so that he could have fun. The aim of creation was for mankind to be put to the test through hardship and prayer. An Islamic regime must be serious in every field. There are no jokes in Islam. There is no humor in Islam. There is no fun in Islam. There can be no fun and joy in whatever is serious.”

Then why did God give us a sense of humour and the capacity to have fun?

Teenage girls arrested by Tehran over viral video of them dancing on Iranian war memorial could now face ‘years in prison or the death penalty'

by Tom Midlane, Daily Mail, January 25, 2025:

Two young women were detained by police in Iran for posting a video of themselves dancing.

The viral Instagram post features the two girls, who appear to be teenagers, purportedly dancing at the Monument to the Unknown Martyrs of the Sacred Defence war memorial in Tehran.

The monument was built by Italian architect Marcello D’Olivo and honours those killed in the Iran-Iraq War that raged between 1980 and 1982.

Both of the women are wearing jeans, with one wearing a knitted jumper and the other a blue top covered by a cardigan.

Iranian authorities have said the girls’ outfits were ‘inappropriate’ and both girls have had their Instagram accounts blocked, according to Iran International.

It was the belly button, of course!

Dancing has been forbidden until Iranian law since the Islamic Revolution in 1979 when the secular monarchy in Iran was overthrown and replaced by the theocratic rule of the cleric Ayatollah Khomeini, who died in 1989. He was succeeded after his death in 1989 by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has served as Supreme Leader of Iran for the 35 years since.

It is not yet clear what the two girls punishment will be, but according Article 637 of the Iranian Penal Code, dancing in public whether by women or men is considered a ‘crime against public modesty’ and can be sentenced to flogging – specified by law as 99 lashes….
