A 24-year-old Ottawa man has been arrested and charged as part of an ongoing investigation into the online distribution of child sexual abuse materials.

On April 17, members of the OPS Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of Prince of Wales Drive. The warrant was issued following information indicating that an unknown individual was sharing illicit content across multiple online platforms.

As a result, Christian Young has been charged with possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography.

He remains in police custody.
