58-year-old Pensacola man sentenced to 7 years in child sexual abuse case
PENSACOLA, Fla. -- A 58-year-old Pensacola man was sentenced to seven years in prison on Thursday in a child sexual abuse case.
Bryan Anthony Parker pleaded no contest to these charges:
- lewd lascivious molestation against a victim ages 12-16
- promote sexual activity of victim less than 16 years old
His sexual assault charge was dropped.
Parker received nine days credit for time served. He also received two years of sex offender probation upon his prison release.
Deputies initially arrested Parker in August of 2024 on allegations that he sexually abused a boy.
According to the arrest report, an incident happened on July 3, 2024, as the victim was sleeping over at Parker's home. The report states the victim awoke to Parker sexually abusing him.
The victim then secretly recorded video of Parker talking to him about the incident, according to the report.
The report states that on the video, Parker could be heard saying:
- "Can we act like this never happened, please?"
- "I will go to prison the rest of my life"
- "The whole thing was weird"
- "will never happen again"
The report states the victim also told deputies of a prior incident a few years ago where Parker tried to molest him.
Parker had been a volunteer coach at St. John the Evangelist School in Pensacola, according to the report.
Third arrest made in Vancouver, WA child molestation case
VANCOUVER, Wash. — A third Vancouver man has been arrested in connection with the child molestation investigation centered on former pediatrician Michael Wilmington and his associate, Chad Hartley.
Vancouver police announced Friday morning that they served a warrant at a local home and took 61-year-old William J. Sneiderwine into custody. He was booked into Clack County jail on charges of conspiracy to commit child molestation and tampering with physical evidence.
The investigation began in February, when Vancouver police received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about child sex abuse material, or CSAM, tied to an IP address in Vancouver.
Detectives identified a suspect in the case on April 29, a man named Chad Hartley, who was a medical assistant at the PeaceHealth Fisher's Landing clinic in Vancouver.
Hartley was later connected with Dr. Michael R. Wilmington, a pediatrician VPD said was "affiliated with multiple medical facilities" in the greater Portland-Vancouver area. Wilmington allegedly hosted naked sleepovers with young kids at his home in La Center.
On May 2, Vancouver police learned that Wilmington had been found dead in Lewis County in an apparent suicide. The Lewis County Sheriff's Office is in charge of the death investigation.
At this time, it is unclear how Sneiderwine is connected to the case. Police said that "nothing further is releasable at this time."

Apparently unrelated to the above cases, this is yet another horrific arrest in Washington's southernmost city.
Ex-foster parent who cared for 55 children in Vancouver accused of sex abuse
A Vancouver man who investigators say has been a foster parent to some 55 children from 2013-25 has been arrested and accused of child sex abuse.
Darold A. Slack was booked into the Clark County Jail on numerous charges, including child molestation, child rape, assault, and sexual misconduct with a minor, a Thursday news release from Vancouver police said.
The investigation began April 26 when detectives from the Vancouver Police Department Children’s Justice Center began investigating the report of a sexual assault of a child, officials said.
On Friday, police searched Slack’s home.
