God and Child Sex Abuse
There is a reason why God has not stopped child sex abuse. I've been searching for that reason for 14 years now, and I think I have finally found it. I would love to read your opinion on this.
First, you have to understand that hundreds of thousands, and possibly millions of children are sexually abused every day on this planet.
According to Grok: WHO reports 1 in 5 girls and 1 in 7 boys are sexually abused as children, The Lancet verifies these figures with 19% of Girls and 15% of boys sexually abused.
If each child were sexually abused only once, there would be about 62,100 CSAs every day. However, we know that about 80% of children are sexually abused more than once, many of them dozens of times, and most trafficked children are abused hundreds, if not thousands of times. One trafficked girl in Mexico counted 43,000 rapes in ten years.
Consequently, the real numbers per day are in the hundreds of thousands, if not the millions.
God can stop it, and I believe He will, for the most part, when he returns for the millennial reign, which I am inclined to believe will be soon, in the next several years.
Even then, He may not stop it altogether because He has a problem. That problem is the free will He gave to mankind. Free will is a wonderful thing, without which we could never be able to love God or each other. Those are the New Testament commands that Jesus laid upon us, so they must be very important to Him.
If you are a born again Christian, you have probably heard stories of God waking people up in the middle of the night to pray for others halfway around the world who were in danger of some sort. For some reason, He needed people to pray before He could intervene in a certain situation. Why?
Was it because He needed to overcome the will of evil people by the will of saints? By saints, I mean born-again Christians. Is that the essence of the reason why God has not intervened wholesale in the sexual abuse of children?
Let's dig a little deeper. We know that there are millions of pedophiles around the world, and their will is to abuse little children for self-gratification. We also know that there are billions of people who do not think or feel that way.
One would think that the right-thinking people would outnumber the pedophiles. But it doesn't seem to work that way. Why not? Here is what I figured out just this morning - non-pedos will does not count!
Most people don't think about child sex abuse. Most don't want to hear about it, read about it, or watch anything about it. So there is no function of the will involved whatsoever. Will has to be acted upon, or it is not really your will at all. This is why God has to wake people up to pray, so you can express your will to Him, and so He is justified in overcoming the will of bad people.
Christians who walk in the Light as Jesus is in the Light. pray in His will. But when our will is to ignore the child sex abuse that occurs around the world, we are not fully in God's will. Remember, in the 21st century, everyone is our neighbour, and all are in need of love.
I pity those who ignore the suffering of children. Child sex trauma lasts a lifetime for most victims. Those who choose to ignore child sex abuse will not be comfortable standing before Jesus on the Great and Terrible Day.
