Ex-Police Officer Guilty of Child Sexual Imagery Appears in Court in 'DILF' T-Shirt

A former Akron, Ohio, police officer pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to a child sex abuse case.
Geoffrey Parker, 34, of Mineral Ridge is facing up to 65 years in prison after pleading guilty in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to three counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, three counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, one count of gross sexual imposition and one count of pandering obscenity involving a minor, the Trumbull County Prosecutor’s Office said in a press release on Thursday, Oct. 31.
When Parker appeared in court, he wore a shirt reading "DILF - Devoted, Involved, Loving Father."
Parker, who was previously placed on unpaid leave, also resigned on Thursday, WKYC and FOX 8 reported.
Before he is sentenced by Judge Ronald J. Rice, Parker will undergo a background investigation. The former police officer must also legally declare himself as a Tier 2 sexual offender — which means that following his prison release, “Parker will have to register with a local sheriff’s office twice per year for the next 25 years,” the prosecutor’s office said.

According to FOX 8, Parker was arrested on Aug. 16 around 9 p.m. local time and booked into the Summit County Jail by the Ohio Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation Unit.
At the time, he was placed on administrative leave with pay until charges were brought against him.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation began looking into Parker after the department traced a nude photo of a 4-year-old girl to the former police officer. He was also convicted of taking nude images of himself with young children, the press release states.
The Trumbull County Prosecutor’s Office said Parker's conversations were tied “to an online chatroom app." The crime with the 4-year-old took place in Weathersfield.
Parker was also accused of “sharing of sexually explicit videos with minors engaging in sex acts and photographing a child in a state of nudity and then sharing the picture online to receive other explicit images of children," according to a complaint, per NBC4i.
“I am sickened to learn of these charges against one of our employees," Akron Police Chief Brian Harding said in an August press release, per FOX 8. "I thank the Bureau of Criminal Investigation for handling this case and trust that the judicial and legal process will reveal the truth. Anyone engaging in this behavior should be held accountable for their actions to the fullest extent possible by law. I’m confident that justice will be served."
Parker remains in Trumbull County jail, held on a $1 million bond. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for Nov. 26.

Some health-care critics and legal experts are calling on the Ontario government to review its medical oversight system after CBC News uncovered a fourth alleged victim tied to Eleazar Noriega, a disgraced pediatrician who stayed employed for nearly 40 years in Toronto through multiple suspensions and disciplinary hearings related to child sexual abuse.
Noriega's lengthy file, and others like it, point to a need for systemic reform, according to the province's NDP health critic.
"The physicians that have maliciously hurt patients continue to go scot-free … it has to change," said France Gélinas, MPP for Nickel Belt in northern Ontario.
And as usual, it is children, mostly little girls who pay the price for the perversion of men and the incompetence of oversight bodies.
Gélinas, along with a Liberal MPP and two legal experts, points to three main issues: the self-regulatory nature of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), the role of the Canadian Medical Protective Association in shielding doctors, and the limited liability that hospitals face for physicians' actions on their premises.
"People that have been hurt by physicians are not getting their day in court and are not being compensated the way they should," said Gélinas.
The Noriega case
Susanne Barrow, a woman from the Ottawa region, is the latest complainant to come forward. She alleged Dr. Eleazar Noriega penetrated her vagina with his fingers to check her "internal heat" at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children in 1980.
She was 12 at the time, and said for years she didn't know the name of her doctor.
In 2015, she began investigating her case and eventually hired a legal team to obtain decades-old hospital records that revealed Noriega was the attending physician on the day she was admitted to SickKids for food poisoning.
It turned out he was already well-known within medical circles, having been hauled five times before a professional tribunal to face allegations, including three cases of alleged sexual abuse involving girls as young as eight.
The allegations span from incidents between 1979 to 2008.
Of his five tribunal appearances, four were related to the three sexual abuse cases — one of the cases came before the tribunal twice.
"Shocking, disturbing. How, how could somebody continue practising after so many allegations?" Barrow told CBC. "I mean, they're all kids, they're all young."
Regulators revoked Noriega's medical licence in 2011, which he appealed. His licence was finally revoked in 2015.
He was found guilty in two of the three sexual abuse complaints and one was dismissed.

Ex-head teacher sexually abused children
A former head teacher posed as a "pillar of respectability" while he sexually abused two children, a court heard.
Lee Brumby, 63, and his ex-wife, Elaine Brumby, 61, are on trial having denied leading a campaign of sexual abuse spanning 13 years.
The pair had a "far from conventional" relationship while they lived together in Little Wakering, Essex, prosecutors told Basildon Crown Court.
Mr Brumby, of Wellands in Witham, was suspended from Mayflower High School in Billericay when the historic allegations - which predated his time at the school - came to light in 2022.
Mrs Brumby, of Kiln Way, Great Wakering, posed as a "dutiful housewife" while the offences were taking place, said Wayne Cleaver, prosecuting.
He alleged she was complicit in the "repeated sexual abuse" led by her husband between 2001 and 2014 and had, on occasion, taken part.
Acts included encouraging children to perform sexual acts on them and having sex in front of children, the jury was told.
"They engaged in sex when [a victim] was there quite intentionally and we say they did so because they enjoyed it," Mr Cleaver said.
"In some perverted way, they must have been getting sexual gratification from it."
The court heard on one occasion Mr Brumby made one of his victims, who was under the age of 10, perform a sex act on him after role play.
"They played a game where [the victim] had to pretend to be a waitress pretending to serve him and asking him what he wanted," Mr Cleaver added.
'Damaged'
Mr Cleaver said Mrs Brumby "knew full well" what had happened and became involved in other instances of alleged abuse.
Police officers were made aware of the allegations in December 2020, after the complainants confided in loved ones about what they said happened.
One said they "feel damaged to admit this" as they told of the alleged abuse, adding they had daily flashbacks about what happened.
Mr Brumby denies three offences of rape of a child, two counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and indecency with a child.
Mrs Brumby denies four offences of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, causing a child to engage in sexual activity and sexual assault.
The trial continues.
Former University Park mayor charged with
possessing 45,000 files of child sex abuse images

The former mayor of University Park, Maryland, is facing dozens of charges after FBI investigators said they found 45,000 files depicting suspected child sexual abuse on his devices.
Joel Biermann, 46, was charged with 22 counts of possessing child sexual abuse images, along with several other related charges, this week. He served as the Prince George’s County town’s mayor from 2022 through June 2024.
Investigators said he produced, distributed and knowingly possessed images and videos of children being sexually abused. Some of the allegations overlapped with his time as mayor.
Following a hearing, Biermann was ordered to be held without bond.
“The allegations and evidence seized during the execution of the search warrant are both repugnant and extremely disturbing,” the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy said in a news release. “Additionally, they serve as proof that he is a continued danger to the community.”
When law enforcement searched his home Monday, they located electronic devices with tens of thousands of files containing abusive materials, according to charging documents.
Some of those file names listed children’s race and age, with the youngest listed being 2 years old. Several were explicitly labeled with the terms “rape,” others mentioned torture or bondage.
The content of those files showed naked children who were at times being sexually abused or raped by adults, according to charging documents. Many of the children were prepubescents.
In his office, investigators said they found a pair of boys underwear with a Spiderman print and a blow-up doll with anatomy similar to a child.
Back in 2021, Biermann began messaging an unknown user on Facebook and paying the person to produce sexually explicit images of at least two young boys, who appeared to be around 11 years old, according to FBI investigators.
Those messages continued through December 2023. The person who was messaging Biermann lives outside the U.S.
In the messages, Biermann requested the victim wear a thong and asked for naked images of the children, according to charging documents. He told the user “this is your opportunity to be a real business person” and requested the child “take a shower” before the photos were taken.
A subpoena of his Facebook account showed 4,500 messages between Biermann and an unknown person who lives outside the U.S. from January 2021 through December 2023.
Records from a payment app, from January 2023 to March 2024, showed Biermann paid the unknown suspect more than $800. One wire transfer was listed as being for the “camera and thongs.”
Biermann’s arrest was first reported by WTOP’s partners at 7News.
‘Serious charges’ for former mayor
Biermann served on the town’s council for two years before becoming mayor in June 2022. While running for reelection last May, his campaign website listed his “top priority” as “protecting our children.”
He lost a bid for reelection to Laurie Morrissey, who was sworn in as mayor in June 2024.
A University Park spokesperson said Biermann has no official position with the town.
“These are serious charges, and the Town is ready to assist as requested,” the spokesperson said in an email to WTOP.
Last July, Biermann was appointed by Gov. Wes Moore to serve on the Maryland Veterans Home Commission.
In November 2023, the mayor of College Park, a neighboring jurisdiction, was sentenced to 30 years in a child sexual abuse materials case.
