Paedophile made thousands of 'disturbing' phone calls to girl,
13, from his prison cell
Thomas Adams, 29, from Bradford, was arrested when police found the teenager in his bedroom after she had been reported missing just hours before - but he continued to abuse her despite being locked up

A paedophile continued to abuse a 13-year-old girl from behind bars by making more than 3,500 "disturbing" phone calls to her from prison.
Vile Thomas Adams, 29, was arrested in June last year after police found the teenager in his bedroom after she had been reported missing just hours before but he continued to contact her from his cell.
Bradford Crown Court heard police were made aware in October 2019 that Adams was still calling his victim from prison after her father seized her mobile phone.
Telephone evidence showed in just over six months while being detained, Adams had made 3,506 calls to the girl and they had exchanged 12,975 texts between them.
When prison staff searched Adams' cell in February they found a phone charger, photos of the girl, and a phone book with her contact numbers in it.
A segregation cell he had been placed in was also searched which led to the discovery of a smashed up mini mobile phone which had been hidden within the pipework of the cell.
Adams had provided prison staff with a false name for the teenager when her number was listed an approved contact, the court heard.
Adams from Bradford, West Yorkshire, pleaded guilty to charges of engaging in sexual activity, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and engaging in sexual communication with the teenager.
On Wednesday he was sentenced to eight years in prison, a five-year extended licence and will be a registered sex offender for life.
Investigating Officer Stuart Lyons of Bradford Safeguarding Department, said: "The content of the calls made by Adams could best be described as extremely disturbing. He was abusive, threatening and coercive in his continued sexual exploitation of the child.
"He lied to prison staff about who he was talking to and when confronted he tried to dispose of the evidence by smashing up his mobile phone and hiding it in the pipework of his cell.
"I hope the sentence he has received today will be of some comfort to the child and her family.
"It shows that we will take action with partners to stop vulnerable young people being groomed and exploited, even when the predators are safely behind bars."
Adams was also wanted for unrelated matters, with which he was charged at court and remanded into custody, whilst he remained under investigation for the alleged sexual offences.
UK mother says her life has been 'ripped apart' after paedophile walked free from court for raping her five-year-old daughter
By BHVISHYA PATEL FOR MAILONLINE
A devastated mother has slammed the sentence handed to the paedophile who raped her five-year-old daughter after he walked free from court with community service.
The mother, who cannot be named to protect her daughter's anonymity, said her family's life had been 'ripped apart' after Callum Haycock, 21, from Kidderminster, Worcestershire, was spared prison.
The paedophile, who was found guilty of raping a child under 13 at Worcester Crown Court on October 1, was sentenced to a three-year community order and 35 days' rehabilitation requirement. He was also fined £200 and ordered to pay £2,500 to the victim as well as being put on the Sexual Offenders' Register for five years.
Following his sentencing, the girl's mother described how she saw 'no justice' for her daughter and vowed to appeal the sentence at the High Court.
She said: 'I ran out of the court and slammed the door behind me, as I walked out of the court I just shouted 'it's a f***ing joke'. I see no justice for my daughter in this.
'We've appealed to the High Court in London. This has ripped our lives apart.
'We've had to have counselling, it's ruined our lives. It separated me and my partner because we both didn't know how to deal with it so we took it out on each other.'
However, the heartbroken mother said she has found consolation in the courage of her daughter, who testified at the trial.
She added: 'She's been incredibly brave, she gave evidence at the trial and everything. I'm immensely proud of her. She's one of the bravest little girls I've ever met.
'She will get over this but she will never forget it. It will always be there but she's not the sort that is going to let it ruin her life. She still smiles every day and gets on with life.
'She does wet the bed but we're going through counselling to try to sort that out. She has difficulties forming relationships with strange men in her life, obviously.
'We told her that he'd got to pay her some money, because he's got to pay her £2,500 compensation, and she turned around and said she wants to give it to the poor.
She is so much better a person than the creep who tried to destroy her. Children are so heroic.
'The police were amazing with us and so were Witness Support. They were very supportive and patient and they handled everything with dignity.'
Romanian serial sex attacker, 47, is jailed for nearly eight years after raping woman, 28, within a week of arriving in UK
By JACK WRIGHT FOR MAILONLINE
24 September 2020
A Romanian serial sex attacker who raped a woman just a week after entering the UK has been jailed for nearly eight years.
Mihai Roban, 47, attacked the 28-year-old behind a public toilet on Regents Park Road in north London at around 2.40am on January 20 this year.
The terrified woman had been walking home from a bar in Finchley when she was accosted by the rapist and dragged behind the loos. She begged Roban, who has two convictions for rape in his home country, to stop, but the depraved sex criminal continued his brutal attack.
Police were called to the scene after a member of the public heard the victim's screams through the night air, Harrow Crown Court heard. Roban was still with his victim when he was arrested, the court heard. He was taken into custody where he refused to make any comment about the incident during an interview with officers.
The Romanian was charged with rape the same day by Public Protection Detectives from the North West Command Unit. The triple rapist finally admitted the offence a week before he was due to stand trial in July.
Scotland Yard said he had arrived in the UK a week before carrying out the attack.
Today Roban, of no fixed address, was jailed for seven years and eight months. He is also required to sign on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
Detective Sergeant Michael Daly, from the Metropolitan Police, said: 'Roban had only been in the country for a week when he carried out this attack.
'When we conducted inquiries with police in his home country of Romania we discovered that he had two previous convictions for rape and prison is the right place for him.
'He maintained his innocence until the week before the trial was due to start which brought further anguish to his victim.
'The victim has been incredibly strong throughout the investigation and I hope that knowing Roban will be in prison for some time will help her to move on from her horrible ordeal.
'I also wish to thank the member of the public for doing the right thing and calling the police when they heard the victim's calls for help, as well as the investigation team for their excellent work and their continued dedication supporting victims of rape and bringing the offenders to justice.'
Does anyone, besides me, wonder how a serial rapist was permitted to enter the country. Is it really that easy?
Rapist, 21, who tried to blame horrific attack on an imaginary identical twin is jailed for 22 years in UK
By NICOLE CONNER FOR MAILONLINE
19 September 2020
A rapist who tried to blame an imaginary identical twin for the attack has been jailed for 22 years.
Khaled Argoub, 21, followed a woman off a tube and dragged her into a dark park where he choked her until she blacked out and sexually assaulted her.
He was sentenced at Kingston Crown Court on 17 September after being found guilty of two counts of attempted rape. He was also found guilty of attempting to choke with intent, assault by penetration and three counts of sexual assault.
So, there was sexual assault, assault by penetration, and yet, he's found guilty of 'attempted rape'. Penetration sounds like rape in my books. How could it be otherwise?
Argoub was given an extended sentence of 22 years for attempted rape, with the other sentences of nine and ten years to run concurrently. Fourteen of those he will spend in custody. He will be considered for parole after serving two thirds of the 14 years.
In other words, less than half the 22 years sentence, and a quarter of all the sentences! Good grief!
The victim, who is in her 20s and cannot be named for legal reasons, was walking home from a night out with friends through Colliers Wood, south-west London.
CCTV footage shown at trial showed how Argoub followed her from the night tube, down Colliers Wood High Street before entering a residential road at around 3am.
When the victim was most of the way down the street, she noticed Argoub standing in the middle of the road 'smirking' at her, she later described. The rapist then ran towards the victim, grabbed hold of her, and dragged her into Wandle Park.
He grabbed her from behind with his arm around her neck, chocking her before attempting to rape her. He also sexually assaulted her. Biting his hand, which was covering her mouth, the victim was able to escape and ran to a nearby block of flats until officers arrived a short time after.
The victim was taken to hospital where she had significant cuts and scratches to her body and reddening to her neck. Her voice was hoarse from the strangulation and she struggled to speak.
A search was conducted for the suspect, with helicopter and dog support but there was no trace of the defendant. Officers found a baseball cap with a 'B' logo on the front at the scene.
Officers discovered a man fitting Argoub wearing a baseball cap on CCTV, which was found at the scene of the crime. Twelve minutes later after the attack, he is seen re-entering the station heading towards Tooting Broadway and is no longer wearing the baseball cap.
A nail clipping was taken from the victim at hospital, which contained a partial DNA profile for Argoub. He was arrested at 0.45am on 24 August and charged later that day.
Kingston Crown Court heard how during a police interview on 26 August, he had attempted to blame the attack on his imaginary twin brother.
Prosecutor Charlotte Newell said: 'He claimed to have a twin but did not know when he had last seen him or contacted him. This is of course in contradiction to him telling his housemate that he had no family in the UK.
'He said he got around London by following people because he is an animal and that he didn't know Colliers Wood area but his brother might. He said that he could not remember where he was on evening on 10 August but probably in bed sleeping.
'He was shown CCTV stills of the male at South Wimbledon and Colliers Wood but denied it was him and maintained that it could be his twin brother.'
Detective Constable Faye Castleman, the officer in charge of the investigation, said: 'On behalf of the victim and her family, I am pleased that justice has been served and I hope that this sentence can bring some closure for them.
'The victim was immensely brave throughout the investigation and I highly commend her courage.
'This case also recognises the importance of forensics in helping to identify offenders. We take these cases very seriously and I would encourage anyone who has been through a similar experience to come forward and report it to us in confidence.'
This is the second story today where a woman walking alone late at night in London was raped, or nearly raped. Isn't it time for the Mayor to admit that it is not safe for women to be out late at night in London, and that it might have something to do with Muslim men.

Toronto police identify killer in cold case of 9-y/o Christine Jessop
Sources say killer of 9-y/o Ontario girl in 1984 died by suicide in 2015
Ronna Syed, Shanifa Nasser · CBC News · Posted: Oct 15, 2020 2:10 PM ET
Nine-year-old Christine Jessop went missing on Oct. 3, 1984. Her body was found nearly three months later. Toronto police now believe a man named Calvin Hoover is responsible for her death after using a new investigative technique called genetic genealogy. (Handout)
Toronto police have identified the killer of nine-year-old Christine Jessop, who was abducted from her Greater Toronto Area home before being raped and killed in 1984 — a case that resulted in the years-long wrongful conviction of Guy Paul Morin.
Sources say Calvin Hoover, a Toronto man who was 28 years old at the time of Jessop's death, died by suicide. Police did not confirm the cause of death at a news conference Thursday, saying only that Hoover died in 2015 and that there was no foul play.
Jessop was last seen on Oct. 3, 1984, buying bubble gum at a Toronto general store.
Her body was found three months later in a wooded area of Sunderland, Ont., about 56 kilometres from her home in rural Queensville, Ont., on Dec. 31, 1984. Investigators say Jessop was stabbed to death.
Speaking to reporters, interim chief James Ramer said that on Oct. 9, 2020, police identified through DNA analysis the person whose semen was found in Jessop's underwear.
"Christine was described as a girl who loved life, her family, school and sports," Ramer said Thursday.
During the frantic search for the young girl, he said, "Her face was on every television set and in every newspaper." "There are no winners in this announcement," said Ramer, adding the development is instead a "step forward" to bringing justice to Jessop's family.
Toronto police on Thursday displayed this image of Hoover, an acquaintance of the Jessop family, who was 28 years old at the time of Christine Jessop's death. Hoover died in 2015. Sources told CBC News he died by suicide. (CBC News)
Ramer said Hoover and his wife had a "neighbour acquaintance" relationship to the family at the time and that Hoover may have worked with Jessop's father.
The interim police chief said Hoover did have a "dated criminal record," but said it had no significance for the Jessop investigation and that Hoover had not previously been identified as a suspect.
In retrospect, it would seem like a big miss for Toronto Police.
Police are appealing for the public's help in filling in the timeline of Hoover's life from 1984 to 2015.
'Genetic genealogy' led police to Hoover
As for how Hoover was identified, Ramer explained that a DNA sample taken from evidence and sent to a lab in the U.S. that uses DNA technology not widely available to identify genetic markers eventually turned up Hoover's name through a process involving genetic genealogy.
Ontario's Centre for Forensic Sciences has a number of samples, some known and unknown, Ramer said. The sample obtained from Jessop's underwear was an unknown sample. When Hoover's name was produced through the work of the U.S. lab, the centre, which happened to have a sample corresponding to Hoover, compared the two samples and found them to be a match.
Why was the sample 'unknown' if they had a sample from Hoover?
Speaking to CBC News, David Mittleman, the CEO of that U.S. lab, Othram Inc., said unlike traditional forensics, which can identify approximately 20 genetic markers, the technology his lab uses can identify hundreds of thousands of markers that can help to identify very distant relatives.
"If you find enough of these distant genetic matches, you can use these matches in conjunction with family trees ... to triangulate where this DNA comes from and that can be used to find the identity of unknown victims, and in this case, an unknown perpetrator."
Reached at his home, Christine's father, Bob Jessop, said he felt "sickened" by the news. Jessop and Christine's mother, Janet, were both informed Thursday.
"As I get older you know you just start wondering when things are going to happen or if it's going to happen," he said. "Fortunately it's happened, but it's still a bit of a shock. Quite a bit of a shock, actually."
'The justice system failed me, but science saved me'
"They said, 'We'll be brief, but we just want to apologize to you about what happened to you over the years. We have found the person responsible for Christine Jessop's murder," said Morin from his home. Police would not tell him if it was a person he knew.
Morin, the family's neighbour, had been wrongfully convicted of the girl's killing before being cleared thanks to advancements in DNA technology. Morin was charged in 1984 and acquitted in 1986 before a new trial was ordered. He was found guilty, then successfully appealed his conviction in 1995.
Ontario's attorney general published a detailed report on the failings of Morin's conviction.
Liverpool Mayor tips off paedo of police investigation – perv deletes 207 files
15TH OCTOBER 2020 ENCHANTED LIFEPATH
REPORTED BY THE LIVERPOOL ECHO
Labour Party Councillor Ben Williams took a job as a History & Politics teacher in King George the V school in Southport.
Once again we see Labour party councillors applying for jobs to be near children, whether it be School teachers or school governors, to Barnardos and even the NSPCC and child care home workers for the vulnerable.
Ben Williams from the Clubmoor constituency area of Liverpool had been found to have the words ‘Lolita’ and ‘Child Porn’ typed into school computers he logged onto with his personal pass key, when a group of IT teachers who were protecting children at King George V school noticed the entries by Labour Councillor Ben Williams on computers he had logged into.
Ben Williams, although his home was raided and 8 computers were seized, found himself let off by a jury who could not come to a decision for the Second time.
The judged added that he did not want to have another trial.
Labour Councillor Ben Williams admitted that Joe Anderson had told him the day before his arrest and raid at his house, that a section 47 investigation was underway.
This means that Merseyside Police informed Labour Council leader & Liverpool Lord Mayor Joe Anderson, who then tipped off Ben Williams, who then deleted the evidence before the police raid.
’207 files were destroyed by Ben Williams.. if they were innocent.. why did he need to delete them?
This link above confirms the truth… Joe Anderson is a Paedophile supporter… but who was it from King George V school that informed the Police, and who was the police officer who informed Joe Anderson?
Who allowed a second trial without convicting Ben Williams?
The smoke was there but the fire was well put out.
If Ben Williams was ‘not guilty’ then why did Joe Anderson not give him his job back?
Why did King George V school not give Ben Williams his old job back?
Joe ‘207’ Anderson should have been arrested immediately when this report came to the Labour25 website.
He should be tried for obstructing the course of justice and his Mayoral title removed.
The paedophile filth of the Labour Party continues but more and more are being hunted down including other paedophile supporters that supported Muslim grooming gangs in Liverpool who were members of the state set up ‘Occupy movement’ and the UAF communist movement for the Labour Party.
‘Evil’ gang abducted, tortured and raped couple before hanging them and burning bodies in South Africa

AN EVIL gang abducted a couple before torturing, raping, hanging and burning their bodies in a savage crime. The two women were subjected to the horrifying ordeal after they were kidnapped in December 2017, at Mooinooi, near Brits, South Africa.
After the abduction, Anisha and Joey van Niekerk were brutally raped in front of each other, with one sexually assaulted more than once.
The two were then hung by meathooks from a shipping container's ceiling, according to local news source IOL. Court documents showed that as the two woman's feet were dangling, one of their attackers made the noose shorter to ensure they died a slow, agonising death.
The court was also told how Joey's death was witnessed by Anisha, who was still tied to the meathook before she was also killed.
The sick gang also decided to burn their bodies and watched as their victims were turned into ashes. Their remaining bones were then crushed into pieces before they were buried, according to the presiding judge.
He said the crime was fuelled by "evil greed".
It was revealed that the mastermind behind the murders, Koos Strydom, had wanted the plot of land where the victims lived. Although they had put it up for sale, he could not afford it so devised a plan with his wife to abduct the couple and force them to sign a fake purchase agreement.
After signing the agreement, the van Niekerks were killed so they would not be able to report what had taken place. According to witnesses, the naked women pleaded for their lives to be spared before the torture began.
Strydom committed suicide in jail while awaiting trial for his involvement in the crime.
While sentencing the other members of the gang, judge Bert Bam said: "You are a gang of evil-minded criminals." He called the crime "inhumane, cruel, evil and simply despicable".
Mercia Strydom, Koos' wife, pleaded with the court to pardon her for the role she played in the crime as she was only 21 at the time. She also insisted she was not present at the scene, but two witnesses said she was.
Mrs Strydom was given two life sentences, as well as an additional 69 years behind bars.
Alex Modau was also ordered to serve two life sentences, with an additional 54 years.
Brothers Jack and James Sithole were told they would have to serve life with an extra 54 years in jail.
The judge added: "How you thought you could get away with this boggles the mind, as people do not just vanish." He also told the gang they did not deserve any mercy as they had not shown mercy to the couple.
The family of the victims shared their relief of knowing the killers would never be released from jail.
Joey's sister, Rina Payne previously said the three years following the death of the couple had been hell. She said: "“It was unbearable to listen through what my sister and Anisha had to go through before and after their deaths.
"I am just happy that the killers will have to pay for what they have done."
Malay children are more vulnerable right now with Covid19
Saturday, 17 Oct 2020
The Star
IN September, the Women’s Centre for Change (WCC) handled 15 telephone counselling cases of sexual violence involving child victims below the age of 18, our highest monthly total to date. The WCC wishes to highlight the impact of Covid-19 on children’s vulnerability to sexual violence and exploitation. These are mainly committed by family members and trusted persons.
During the movement control order (MCO) period between March and May, the WCC saw a near doubling of child sexual violence cases. Compared with January and February, when we handled three and four cases respectively, the number of cases rose to an average of seven a month between March and May. While the numbers may look small, even one case is one too many, and children’s risk of sexual abuse during Covid-19 is of great concern.
As reporting is made more difficult when children are in lockdown with the primary offender, it is significant to note that the largest spike in child sexual violence cases occurred after the MCO was lifted. From June to July, the number increased nearly twofold from seven to 12 cases, rising to 15 cases in September.
Guard charged with 23 counts of CSA
Although girls comprise the majority of victims, boys are not spared. In 2020, the number of boy victims supported by the WCC in court has nearly doubled compared with last year, with eight boys in 2019 and 15 boys as at September. Earlier this year, a security guard in Penang was charged with 23 counts of sex-related offences, including seven counts of physical sexual assault on a nine-year-old boy.
The World Health Organisation has stated that “movement restrictions, loss of income, isolation, overcrowding and high levels of stress and anxiety are increasing the likelihood that children experience and observe physical, psychological and sexual abuse at home, particularly those children already living in violent or dysfunctional family situations”.
Interpol has also identified several factors that exacerbate the risk of sexual violence against children, including the closure of schools and subsequent movement lockdowns, virtual learning environments, and the increased time children spend online for social and educational purposes.
Family members, childcare workers and educational personnel often play a key role in detecting and reporting cases of child sexual exploitation, especially in the current context in Malaysia where many cases remain undetected or unreported.
Indeed, most cases are unreported. The numbers above reflect a very small percentage of the actual need for help.
They must be alert and vigilant about physical and behavioural changes in children that may indicate some form of sexual abuse. These include complaints of pain in private parts, fearful behaviour around some people, and age-inappropriate sexual behaviour. Children often do not disclose such abuse because they may be unaware or they may have been threatened by the perpetrator.
The WCC calls upon the government to ensure the continuous training of personnel in relevant agencies, such as the police, Welfare Department and hospitals, to ensure they handle child sexual abuse cases with sensitivity. There is much to be done to protect our young against this serious threat.
15 arrests including Doncaster and Sheffield men in latest Rotherham child sex abuse inquiry
By Darren Burke, The Star
Friday, 16th October 2020, 6:53 pm
Men from Sheffield and Doncaster are among those spoken to by National Crime Agency officers.
The arrests relate to three separate investigations being undertaken as part of Operation Stovewood, the agency’s enquiry into abuse in the town (Rotherham, I presume) between 1997 and 2013.
The first, which is examining allegations of abuse between 2003 to 2008 involving one victim, saw nine men aged between 36 and 49, arrested between Wednesday 7 October and Thursday 15 October. All are accused of rape offences.
The arrests took place in Rotherham, Sheffield, Doncaster, Blackburn, Wakefield and County Durham.
Meanwhile officers investigating the alleged abuse of two victims between 2007 and 2009 have made five arrests of men aged between 29 and 62, all in the Rotherham area. Three were detained on 13 October and the other two yesterday.
And on 10 October a 51-year-old man was arrested in Conisbrough on suspicion of a series of serious sexual offences against a 14 or 15-year-old girl, alleged to have taken place in 2008.
All were questioned and released while investigations continue.
NCA regional head of investigations Rob Burgess said: “This latest operational activity means we have now questioned more than 190 people as part of Operation Stovewood.
“We have also worked with policing and local authority partners to take safeguarding action protecting around 40 children in just the last two weeks. This is an important part of our work and often goes unheralded.
“While our determination to bring to justice offenders is undiminished, we continue to reach out and appeal to victims or witnesses to come forward.
“Our investigation is victim focused, and we’re interested in speaking to anyone who might have information to help investigations into child sexual abuse in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013. Victims will be supported.” Contact details for the Stovewood team can be found on the National Crime Agency’s website www.nationalcrimeagency.gov.uk/Stovewood.
Stovewood is the single largest law enforcement investigation into non-familial child sexual abuse (CSA) in the UK and is focusing on decades of child sex abuse in Rotherham.
Looking forward to a list of those who are charged. I have no doubt all, or almost all, will have Pakistani names.
Retired French Surgeon Faces 312 Pedophilia and Abuse Charges
Prosecutors said the rapes and sexual assaults took place at several hospitals over three decades, and were documented in a diary. Most of the accusers were 15 or younger.

Oct. 16, 2020
PARIS — A retired French surgeon has been charged with the rape and sexual assault of more than 300 people, a vast majority of whom were under 15, in what could be France’s biggest-ever pedophilia and sexual abuse case.
Joël Le Scouarnec, 70, a specialist in abdominal surgery, is accused of having abused 312 people over three decades at several hospitals in central and western France. The authorities said details about the identities of the victims, whose average age was 11, were included in private diaries kept by Mr. Le Scouarnec, where he described at length the sexual abuses he is accused of perpetrating. Fewer than 50 were adults.
“It is an unusual case to say the least, correctly described as extraordinary, both because of the number of its victims and the conditions that led to the exposure of the crimes,” Stéphane Kellenberger, the state prosecutor in charge of the case, told reporters on Thursday.
Mr. Le Scouarnec had already been charged with sexual abuse of minors in 2017, a case that led investigators to discover the diaries.
France has been rocked by a series of sexual abuse and pedophilia scandals; the most recent was that of Gabriel Matzneff, a writer who, for decades, wrote openly of his pedophilia with the protection of some French elites.
But Mr. Le Scouarnec’s case is perhaps the largest ever in France involving sexual abuse and pedophilia by an individual. “The scale of the case is really unprecedented,” said Pierre Verdrager, a sociologist who has studied pedophilia. “I am not aware of a case with so many victims.”
The public prosecutor’s office had initially identified 343 potential victims but eventually dismissed 31 cases because the statute of limitations had lapsed or for lack of evidence. Among the remaining 312 people, all thought to have been abused between 1986 and 2014, about 100 were most likely raped and about 200 sexually assaulted, Mr. Kellenberg said.
French laws prohibit sex between an adult and a minor under the age of 15, but it is not automatically considered rape. Further circumstances, such as the use of coercion, threats, or violence, are necessary to characterize such sexual relationships as rape.
France recently toughened laws against sex crimes and extended the statute of limitations for rape against a minor to 30 years from 20 years.
“We are faced with the pedophilia case of the century, because of the personality of the perpetrator and because of the facts,” said Francesca Satta, a lawyer representing about 20 accusers in the case.

Mr. Le Scouarnec was first arrested in 2017 after a 6-year-old girl living in his neighborhood reported him to her parents. Mr. Le Scouarnec allegedly showed her his penis and digitally penetrated her, said Ms. Satta, who is also the girl’s lawyer.
That led to an investigation on sexual abuses committed against four underage girls between 1989 and 2017, including the 6-year-old girl and two members of Mr. Le Scouarnec’s own family, resulting in charges of rape, sexual assault and exhibitionism. Mr. Le Scouarnec is in prison awaiting trial in the case (last story on link), scheduled for late next month.
What investigators did not anticipate, however, was that a search of Mr. Le Scouarnec’s home as part of this first investigation revealed much more than expected. Along with three-foot-tall toy dolls, mannequin wigs and child pornography images, police officers said they found secret diaries recounting in great detail Mr. Le Scouarnec’s sexual encounters with scores of children at hospitals where he practiced between 1989 and 2017.
Mr. Kellenberg, the state prosecutor, said Thursday that investigators carried out “the most exhaustive and methodical analysis possible of these elements,” which took “the form of an unbearable enumeration.” The diaries, which consisted of notes typed on a computer, included “some paragraphs, elaborate and detailed, rich in details that are difficult to bear.”
The children were, most of the time, abused in a hospital, while under anesthetic substances, sedation and other medical treatments, Mr. Kellenberg said.
Mr. Le Scouarnec’s diaries included dates and details about the identities of the children, officials said, allowing the police to trace them to obtain their testimony, leading to the indictment Thursday on charges of rape and sexual assault.
Thibaut Kurzawa, Mr. Le Scouarnec’s lawyer, denounced what he called a “show procedure,” saying his client’s rights of defense had been violated and his safety endangered. But he declined to comment on the charges.
Mr. Le Scouarnec had already been given a four-month suspended jail sentence in 2005 for possessing child pornography. But the sentence did not prevent him from practicing medicine.
“This is a major institutional dysfunction,” said Mr. Verdrager, the sociologist, who said medical and judicial authorities bore responsibility. He added that, as was the case with Mr. Matzneff, the writer, Mr. Le Scouarnec was part of an elite that might have shielded him from retaliation.
Mr. Kellenberger announced that an investigation had been started to determine if other people had been aware of Mr. Le Scouarnec’s actions and failed to report them.
Kaliati wants Mbowe Park, Malawi closed over child sexual abuse cases
Oct 16, 2020 Malawi24
Written by Andrew Magombo – Mana
Minister of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare, Patricia Kaliati, has asked relevant security authorities to expedite the closure of Mbowe Filling Station car park, a popular public drinking joint in Lilongwe City, where cases of drug and sexual abuse on young girls are reportedly on the rise.
Speaking during a press briefing at the Capital Hill on Wednesday ahead of this year’s International Rural Women’s Day which falls on October 15, Kaliati said it is appalling that some men are using the premises as a breeding ground for initiating girls into the drug trade.
The minister also expressed dismay with the indecent behavior of sexual abuse in broad day light mostly by car owners who patronize the joint.
She said: “I ask police officers and other security agencies to intervene in protecting our women facing different kind of abuses at Mbowe.
