Four men from central England have been arrested by police investigating sexual offences.
Three men were detained in Burton Latimer, Northampton and Kettering on suspicion of possessing and distributing indecent images of children.
Their computers were seized by Northamptonshire Police. All three have been bailed.
Another man, from Milton Keynes, was arrested on suspicion of historical child sex offences.
Det Sgt Liz Ansell said: "We continue to encourage victims of violence and sexual assault to come forward to report offences.
"Sex abuse includes downloading and distributing indecent images of children.
"Anybody who takes part in this type of activity can be sure that we will find them, and should await a knock on the door from one of our officers."
Meanwhile, in the western England city of Gloucestershire, an organisation has been formed to help identify child grooming by educating taxi drivers and school-children. The organisation consists of a conglomeration of associations, councils, city groups and institutions. See: www.gscb.org.uk/ for more on GSBC.
The Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board (GSCB), which is organizing the scheme, is also showing a play to raise awareness of the issue.
Taxi drivers in Gloucestershire are being asked to look out for potential victims of sexual grooming.
Police officers will be asking them to look out for possible abuse and report incidents to a hotline.
Chair Roger Clayton said he wanted the local community to be the "eyes and ears".
He added: "We are not experiencing the sorts of problems seen in other cities like Oxford or the north. But we're always alive to the fact that it may be just round the corner."
He said they had introduced a screening tool 12 months ago for professionals to identify the warning signs.
He said: "We've had 75 referrals in relation to that. That's not to say there's been 75 incidences of abuse but just where there's the risk of abuse."
