Supreme Court rejects child pornography case against Reddit

The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal filed by a group of women suing Reddit and alleging the online platform is profiting from the posting of child pornography, allowing an earlier decision in favor of the popular website to stand.

In an orders list released Tuesday morning, the nation's high court refused to grant a writ of certiorari and hear oral arguments in the case of Jane Does 1-6 et al. v. Reddit, Inc. The case centers on whether the social media platform knowingly participated in sex trafficking.

In April 2021, a woman identified as "Jane Doe" filed a class action lawsuit against Reddit after her ex-boyfriend posted sexually explicit images of her from when she was a minor on the platform without her consent.

Although Doe repeatedly reported these posts to Reddit, the website allegedly did little to help take down the images, with her ex-boyfriend continuously reposting them to the platform.

"Because Reddit refused to help, it fell to Jane Doe to monitor no less than 36 subreddits — that she knows of — which Reddit allowed her ex-boyfriend to repeatedly use to repeatedly post child pornography," read the lawsuit, as reported by Courthouse News Service.

"This is despite the fact that, as Reddit well knew, throughout this time her ex-boyfriend uploaded the content from the identical IP address."

The district court ruled against the women and their families, arguing that Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act, a federal law that protects websites from liability for content users publish on their platforms that might be defamatory, protected Reddit.

Last October, a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously ruled in favor of Reddit, with Circuit Judge Milan D. Smith Jr. authoring the opinion.

"Moreover, the plaintiffs have not alleged a connection between the child pornography posted on Reddit and the revenue Reddit generates, other than the fact that Reddit makes money from advertising on all popular subreddits," wrote Smith.

"Plaintiffs who have successfully alleged beneficiary liability for sex trafficking have charged defendants with far more active forms of participation than the plaintiffs allege here."

Earlier this year, the National Center on Sexual Exploitation placed Reddit on its "Dirty Dozen List" of businesses that profit or enable sexually exploitative practices, arguing that the site is "a hub of image-based sexual abuse, hardcore pornography, prostitution — which very likely includes sex trafficking — and overt cases of child sexual exploitation and child sexual abuse material."

While Reddit has been championing a new policy against sharing explicit material like revenge porn and better efforts to remove reported content, NCOSE argues that "these policies on paper are not translating into proactive prevention or removal of abuse in practice."

In 2021, NCOSE warned that Reddit had become a "hub of exploitation where sex buyers and other sexual predators meet to exchange non-consensually shared intimate images, hardcore pornography, and to give advice to each other about how to use and abuse."

Reddit isn't the only social media platform sued over users posting child pornography. Earlier this month, the 9th Circuit dismissed a lawsuit claiming Twitter profited from sex trafficking by allowing tweets containing sexually explicit images of two 13-year-old boys.

The plaintiffs sued Twitter in 2021. One of the plaintiffs said he was recruited for sex trafficking as a minor but escaped from the manipulation. However, the child sexual abuse videos he was featured in were disseminated on Twitter.

His parents reportedly contacted authorities and Twitter to ask that the posts be taken down immediately. The lawsuit contends that Twitter told the family that the material didn't violate the company's policies. It wasn't until law enforcement got involved that Twitter removed the videos, but not before they amassed over 167,000 views and over 2,200 retweets.

The 9th Circuit also cited Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act to rule in favor of Twitter.

India: Muslim murders 16-y/o Hindu girl on busy street in Delhi

MAY 30, 2023 1:00 PM

Caution - Disturbing content

On Monday morning in India, a disturbing video surfaced online and held the nation spellbound for hours. In CCTV camera footage, a man could be seen stabbing a girl repeatedly, picking up a boulder and smashing her face until he ensures that she is dead. The accused stabbed the girl 20 times with a sharp knife; at one point, the blade got stuck into her skull. Not one person in the capital city of the world’s most populous country could stop this enraged man, who committed this barbaric act in the middle of a busy lane.

The blood-curdling act took place on the night of Sunday, May 28, in Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area. The victim was a 16-year-old Hindu minor, Sakshi, while the accused was a 20-year-old Muslim man, Sahil. Is it necessary to highlight the religions of the people involved in this crime? Yes, absolutely, and we will explain why.

Reports suggest that the two were in a “relationship.” They fought on the evening of the incident, which ended with this chilling crime committed in full public view. Police arrested the accused from Bulandshahr in the adjoining state of Uttar Pradesh.

The accused wore a kalawa (a sacred thread worn by Hindus) on his wrist and a rudraksha necklace (again, a Hindu accessory). When the news broke, media reports only carried the man’s first name, Sahil, a name in India that does not make one’s religion clear. It was not before evening that the full name and identity of the accused were made public and included in the media reports. Even the Chief Minister of the national capital avoided referencing the accused’s identity in his tweet. Clearly, the accused had tried to present himself as a Hindu, and the “secular” institutions of the country tried their best to hide his religious affiliation.

A popular narrative about India’s current social and political situation is that Muslims are being victimized in this majoritarian state. Had there been an ounce of truth in these sinister claims, would a Muslim man have the nerve to kill a Hindu minor girl in the middle of a busy street?

For 75 years, the Indian government has handled the Muslim community with kid gloves in secular India. Politicians have showered them with rights and perks no other minorities got. This leniency eventually led to the rise of Islamic jihadists and supremacists in the country.

These fanatical Muslims know that they can get away with any crime, and that a brigade of apologists for Islam disguised as intellectuals will stand up in their defense. These “intellectuals” present themselves as journalists, columnists promulgating fake narratives of Muslim victimhood in India on international platforms, radio jockeys, actors, writers, historians, and even judiciary members. Politicians throw themselves at their feet because they vote as a bloc, unlike the fragmented Hindu community.

Indian politicians have awarded Mohammad Afroz, one of the most brutal rapists in India’s history, with cash, sewing machines and a new identity so that he can start a new life. This rapist killed his victim by inserting a rod in his victim’s genitals and pulling out her intestines. Today, he works as a cook in some households, perhaps with young girls.

In 2022, a Supreme Court judge cancelled the death sentence of Mohhamad Firoz, who had been convicted of rape and murder. The high court scrapped the 2014 judgment passed by the Madhya Pradesh High Court, quoting British novelist Oscar Wilde’s axiom, “every sinner has a future.” Firoz was convicted for the rape and murder of a four-year-old girl. What future could he have, and how safe would his existence make the future of an average Indian child playing at a park?

Every sinner has a future, but that future may be an eternity in Hell along with the fools who enabled him.

In November 2022, Delhi police arrested 28-year-old Aftab Amin Poonawallah for the gruesome murder of his Hindu live-in partner, Shraddha Walker. Aftab had allegedly killed her in May, chopped her into pieces and stored her in his refrigerator for months. When this story broke, the usual apologists rushed to contradict his religious affiliation by claiming he was a Parsi. These claims didn’t last long, as during the polygraph test, the accused confessed: “No regret even if hanged, will get hoors in Jannat.”

Jannat refers to Heaven. This fool thinks he will go to Heaven, and thinks there are whores in Heaven waiting for him. There are whores in Heaven who have repented of their sins, Mary Magdelen, for instance. But they are no longer acting in their former capacity. Aftab needs to know that it is not Mohammed who will decide whether he goes to Heaven or Hell, it is Jesus Christ, and Him alone. And when Aftab gets to Hell, he may find some whores still active, but he will not enjoy them in the place where 'the worm never dies'. I can't think of a more appropriate torture.

Accused in the recent case, Sahil Khan also admits that he has “No regrets.” These cold-blooded jihadis have perfected the art of slaughter and never have any regret for the monstrous crimes they commit. Between the murder of Shraddha in May 2022 and Sakshi in May 2023, there have been numerous other killings of Hindu girls at the hands of their Muslim friends, lover or husband. Some make it to the headlines; others are shoved under the rug so as to protect those who share the religious affiliations of these murderers.

When one tries to discuss these incidents, term them “Love Jihad,” make informative movies to educate young girls, the Islamic lobby in India leaps to dismiss their efforts as propaganda against the ever-so-hapless Indian minority. They work to further this narrative tirelessly, until the next Hindu girl is found lying dead in a pool of her own blood on a random Indian street.

Priest arrested in sexual assault of 8-year-old girl in

Little Grand Rapids First Nation, RCMP say

Mounties say they've already identified other possible victims,

ask anyone with information to come forward

Arul Savari, a Roman Catholic priest, is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, sexual exploitation of a young person, luring a child and forcible confinement. (Submitted by Archdiocese of St. Boniface)

A Roman Catholic priest has been accused of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl in Little Grand Rapids First Nation — and Manitoba RCMP say they've identified other possible victims.

"We do not wish to traumatize or further traumatize the young victim by sharing her experience in such a public manner," Supt. Scott McMurchy, Manitoba acting criminal operations officer, said at a news conference on Tuesday. "However, we believe that other children may have been harmed in a similar way."

The eight-year-old girl was alone with the priest after he asked her to help him clean the church when he allegedly touched her inappropriately on Saturday, McMurchy said.

The girl told investigators when she tried to leave, the priest forced her to stay in the building, he said. When she was able to get away, she ran home and told her mom, who reported the incident to police.

Little Grand Rapids First Nation is a remote community about 265 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg.

Priest served 2 communities

McMurchy described the priest as someone the girl trusted. While he would not specify how many other possible victims Mounties have identified, he said his understanding is there is a "religious connection" with all of them.

Arul Savari, 48, is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, sexual exploitation of a young person, luring a child and forcible confinement. He remains in custody.

Savari was also the priest at nearby Pauingassi First Nation, McMurchy said. As far as RCMP are aware, the priest only served in those two First Nations while in Canada.

Savari, who is originally from India and lives in Winnipeg, has been in Canada for six years and served in Little Grand Rapids for the same amount of time, McMurchy said. He serves the Catholic Church under the Archbishop of St. Boniface.

Following his arrest, Savari was suspended from all ministerial duties and "forbidden to have anything to do with former parishioners and children," according to a Tuesday press release from the Archdiocese of St. Boniface.

The Archdiocese says it will fully cooperate with the RCMP in their investigation.

"The Archdiocese of St. Boniface expresses its deep sorrow to the victim who has come forward as well as to that person's family, and the entire community of Little Grand Rapids who have been affected by the allegations," the release says.

"The Archdiocese will do all it can to assist the victim who has come forward and any who may make known their suffering."

Anyone with information or who wishes to make a report related to Savari is asked to call RCMP in Little Grand Rapids at 204-397-2249 or visit the community's detachment in person, McMurchy said.

Help for people affected by sexual assault is available toll-free through Klinic's sexual assault crisis line at 1-888-292-7565 and Manitoba Justice victim services at 1-866-484-2846, he said.

Support is available for anyone who has been sexually assaulted. You can access crisis lines and local support services through this Government of Canada website or the Ending Violence Association of Canada database. If you're in immediate danger or fear for your safety or that of others around you, please call 911.

UPDATE  -  Community wants Catholic Church gone

Josh Crabb · CBC News ·

Chief Oliver Owen of Little Grand Rapids First Nation told CBC that's the sentiment he heard during a regularly scheduled band meeting Tuesday.

"I brought that up to the band meeting about our priest and the community right away said, 'you know what, we don't want that person here in the community, we don't want him to come back and we don't want the church here,'" Owen said in a phone interview.

In a statement Tuesday, Southern Chiefs' Organization Grand Chief Jerry Daniels said they stand with the girl who was harmed.

"First Nations have sadly experienced predatory behaviour for generations when it comes to the churches," Daniels said in a news release. "The leaders of the Catholic church have much work to do in repairing relationships with our nations."

Grand Chief Jerry Daniels said Tuesday leaders of the Catholic church have much work to do in repairing relationships with First Nations people in the wake of allegations against a priest in Little Grand Rapids. (Jeff Stapleton/CBC)

Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs Grand Chief Cathy Merrick said in a news release the allegations could affect the whole community.

"We still have residential school survivors that suffered similar abuses, and this ... may be very triggering to those survivors," Merrick said. "My heart is with the people of Little Grand Rapids and Pauingassi at this time of sorrow."

Owen said there are two other churches in the community and that if the Catholic church does as the First Nation wishes and leaves, the impact will be minimal.

"We have our own local churches here," Owen said. "Community members run those churches. It's not like we're going to be without a church."

Former principal, teacher at Winnipeg's St. Paul's among

Jesuit priests accused of sexually abusing minors

'It is with deep sorrow that I share these names,' says St. Paul's president Kevin Booth

Two former teachers at St. Paul's High School in Winnipeg, one of whom also served as principal, are on a list of accused sexual abusers in the Jesuits of Canada.

"I am incredibly saddened," St. Paul's president Kevin Booth said in a statement posted Monday on the school's website, after it was revealed two former St. Paul's educators — Father John Pungente and Father George Topp — were on the list of 27 priests and brothers released Monday by the Jesuits, a religious order of the Catholic Church.

The people on the list were "credibly accused" of sexually abusing minors over the past six decades, Jesuits of Canada said.

"It is with deep sorrow that I share these names and I painfully recognize the life-long impact that the trauma of abuse has on the victims," Booth said in the St. Paul's statement.

Topp was a teacher at St. Paul's from 1968 until 1974. He has since died.

Pungente was a teacher at St. Paul's from 1964 until 1967, and again from 1971 until 1976. He served as principal from 1976 until 1983.

CBC made multiple attempts to contact Pungente on Tuesday, but did not receive any replies.

The list released Monday includes people accused of abuse dating back to 1950. Along with each priest's name, it documents each of the places they were assigned to work.

CBC News has not independently verified the allegations against the priests, many of whom have died.

The religious order announced in December 2019 that it would release the names, after conducting a comprehensive audit of 60 years worth of files with the help of King International Advisory Group, a third-party risk assessment organization.

The Jesuits originally planned to release the list by January 2021, but attributed the delay to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The Jesuits hope that this act of accountability and reconciliation will help victims and their families in the healing process and continue to seek forgiveness from all those who have been hurt by this profound betrayal of pastoral care," Booth's statement said.

"The Jesuits believe that it is the right thing to do to promote institutional transparency and accountability, an important step to help correct the causes of the crisis."

Booth also asked for prayers "for the victims who have been gravely harmed by those who betrayed the trust placed in them."

"While we cannot change the past, I want to assure our students, parents, alumni and community that we are and have been dedicated to doing everything we can to prevent abuse."

Former Winnipeg priest sentenced to 15 months for

sexually abusing teenage boy

Roland Lanoie, 72, pleaded guilty earlier this month to offences dating back to 1980s

A former Roman Catholic priest who sexually abused a 15-year-old boy almost four decades ago has been sentenced to 15 months in jail.

Roland Lanoie, 72, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault earlier this month.

His jail sentence will be followed by two years of supervised probation, during which time he must not work or volunteer in a position of trust involving children, a recommendation made by Crown attorney Dayna Queau-Guzzi.

At Lanoie's sentencing on Thursday, provincial court Judge Ryan Rolston talked about the importance of a sentence that reflects the seriousness of the offence and the responsibility of the convicted person. The multiple sexual assaults suffered by the victim resulted in trauma, Rolston said.

So, you gave him 15 months, not 15 years! Go figure! Allegedly, 6 years of sexual assaults! Canada's criminal-friendly 'justice' system! It makes me sick!

Police launched an investigation into Lanoie in early 2018 after a man told them he was the victim of a series of sexual assaults from 1982 to 1988.

Lanoie, who is retired now, was working as an ordained priest, holding various positions within the Archdiocese of St. Boniface, at the time of the offences, police said at the time.

The abuse started when the boy was a youth and resident student at the St. Boniface Minor Seminary, but continued after Lanoie left, court was told.

Pope John Paul II and Missing Vatican Girl, Emanuela Orlandi

..

The Pope and Emanuela Orlandi: Vatican back in the spotlight

over mystery of missing girl

Story by Angela Giuffrida in Rome
The Guardian

Not long before she disappeared in the summer of 1983, Emanuela Orlandi went to Piazza del Catalone, a small square just outside of the Vatican walls, to meet friends.

There was still a party vibe during that sweltering June just a few weeks after AS Roma clinched the Serie A title. In a photograph taken at the time Orlandi, who was then 15, is wearing a headband in yellow and red, the football team’s colours, that her mother had made. It was one of the last photographs taken of the teenager before she vanished without trace on 22 June 1983, an image that has come to define the campaign of her older brother Pietro Orlandi’s unrelenting search for the truth.

“Emanuela was always here with friends,” he said in an interview with the Observer in Piazza del Catalone. “They were still celebrating; it was the last photo taken of her smiling.”

The disappearance of Emanuela – who has not been seen by her family since leaving her home within Vatican City, where her father was a lay employee in the papal household, for a flute lesson in Rome – has gripped Italy for four decades. But it was only in January this year that the powerful and inscrutable Holy See began its own investigation, with its promoter of justice, Alessandro Diddi, promising to leave no stone unturned in a mystery that has produced many theories, some of them outlandish, but no concrete facts. Prosecutors in Rome began collaborating with the Vatican on the probe this month.

“For 40 years there has never been a collaboration between the two,” said Orlandi, who recently caused controversy after insinuating that the much-revered Pope John Paul II might have been involved in his younger sister’s disappearance. “Until a few years ago the Vatican said it knew nothing, that she disappeared in Italy and so it needed to be investigated there. On the other hand, I’m told Rome has lots of documents. For all these years the Vatican has stayed silent – maybe this means someone there has proof of what happened.”

The Vatican’s investigation began a few months after the Netflix series, Vatican Girl, brought Emanuela’s case back under the global spotlight. The series explored theories that have emerged over the years, the first one being that she was kidnapped by a gang in order to blackmail the Vatican into releasing Mehmet Ali AÄŸca, who was jailed in 1981 after trying to assassinate John Paul II. Her disappearance has also been linked to a wave of financial scandals at the Vatican bank, an alleged sex ring run by Vatican police, and the mafia.

If you are amazed by all the ghastly inferences associated with the Vatican, read "In God's Name", by David Yallop.

Another theory was that Emanuela was taken to London, where she lived for years in a youth hostel owned by a Catholic congregation, with her expenses funded by the Vatican. According to this hypothesis, she died in London before her body was transferred back to Rome and buried in the Vatican. In 2019, two tombs in the Vatican were reopened after a tipoff that Emanuela may have been buried there. No human remains were found.

But the new, and most startling, claim in the Netflix series came from a childhood friend of Emanuela, who said the teenager had confided in her about being molested by “someone close” to John Paul II.

“She said the conversation happened a few days before Emanuela disappeared and that [the alleged incident] took place in the Vatican gardens,” said Orlandi. That Emanuela might have been a victim of paedophilia is probably the most plausible theory, he added. “When you know in that environment they do certain things, maybe she was put in that situation?”

Does God agree that he is a Saint?
Orlandi’s determination to find the truth has irked the Vatican. In April, during questioning with Vatican prosecutors, he shared an audio tape containing an alleged conversation between a journalist and the boss of a Rome criminal organisation suspected of being embroiled in Emanuela’s disappearance. In the recording, the crime boss insinuated that the late John Paul II, whose original name was Karol Józef WojtyÅ‚a, would go out at night with senior clergymen in search of teenage girls.

Part of the audio was subsequently aired on an Italian TV programme during an interview with Orlandi, in which he added: “They tell me that WojtyÅ‚a occasionally went out in the evening with two Polish monsignors, and it certainly wasn’t to bless homes.”

Pope Francis denounced the “offensive and unfounded insinuations” during his Sunday Angelus, while the Vatican’s daily newspaper, L’Osservatore Romano, said the “anonymous, shameful accusations” were “madness”.

Orlandi claims the Vatican exploited the controversy to discredit him. “I have always said that I believe John Paul knew something,” he said. “But it was the person in the audio tape who used offensive words against him. I also gave the names of the two monsignors, who were close to John Paul. Everyone knew they would sometimes go out at night together. I simply added that their [outings] were not for religious reasons.”

He has also been left wondering if Pope Francis knew anything about his sister’s fate when, shortly after his election in 2013, the pontiff told him that Emanuela was “in heaven”.

“He told me these words, I don’t know why,” said Orlandi. “For [Joseph] Ratzinger [his predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI], Emanuela was a taboo. So the fact that Francis used her name made me think he wanted to collaborate with me, but since then he has never wanted to meet again.”

Orlandi, who has three other sisters, described a privileged childhood within the Vatican walls, where they enjoyed the gardens and felt as if they were in “the safest place in the world”.

His pursuit of the truth is partly influenced by guilt. On the day she disappeared Emanuela had asked him to give her a lift to her flute lesson. “It was so hot in Rome, and I didn’t want to go,” he said. “She was a little angry, and left. I still wonder whether this would have happened if I had taken her.”

Time will tell if the investigation will bring the answers he needs. “For all these years we don’t know if Emanuela is alive or dead,” he said. “I will continue my battle to the very end.”

Here's a theory to chew on for awhile: If you read David Yallop's "In God's Name" you will probably be persuaded that Pope John Paul was murdered because he planned to clean up all the corruption in the Vatican, some of which is mentioned above.

Like the assassination of JFK and his replacement with Lyndon Johnson, the anti-war Kennedy was followed by an aggressive war-monger. Did Deep State have some control over Johnson since he retracted JFK's decision to remove American soldiers from Viet Nam and began to send tens of thousands of troops into a country and a war they could never win. And he did it the day after Kennedy died.

My point is, did the Curia have something on Wojtyla whereby they knew they could control him and be able to keep all their criminal enterprises flourishing when they appointed him Pope?

Approaching Sodom > Uganda signs robust anti-gay bill into law - the godless are frantic

Outcry as Uganda's anti-gay bill signed into law

Kampala (AFP) – Uganda announced Monday that President Yoweri Museveni had signed into law draconian new measures against homosexuality described as among the world's harshest, prompting condemnation from human rights and LGBTQ groups as well as Western powers.

US President Joe Biden called for the immediate repeal of the measures he slammed as "a tragic violation of universal human rights", and threatened to cut aid and investment in the east African country.

When there are at least 60 countries that outlaw gay sex, does it qualify as universal?

Museveni's office said the Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2023 was among six pieces of legislation the president signed into law on Sunday.

Lawmakers passed a new draft of the legislation earlier this month, vowing to resist what they said was outside interference in their efforts to protect Uganda's values from Western immorality.

The amended version said that identifying as gay would not be criminalised but "engaging in acts of homosexuality" would be an offence punishable with life imprisonment.

Although Museveni had advised lawmakers to delete a provision making "aggravated homosexuality" a capital offence, lawmakers rejected that move, meaning that repeat offenders could be sentenced to death, though Uganda has not carried out capital punishment for several years.

A rights group announced later Monday that it had filed a legal challenge with Uganda's High Court, arguing that the legislation was "blatantly unconstitutional".

"By criminalising what we call consensual same-sex activity among adults, it goes against key provisions of the constitution including rights on equality and non-discrimination," said Adrian Jjuuko, executive director of the Human Rights Awareness and Promotion Forum.

'Deeply repressive law'

Biden said he had asked his National Security Council to assess what the law means for "all aspects of US engagement with Uganda", including services providing AIDS relief and other assistance and investments.

He said the administration would also consider sanctions against Uganda and the restriction of entry into the United States of people engaging in human rights abuses or corruption there.

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said the Ugandan government had "an obligation to protect all of its citizens and uphold their basic rights".

"Failure to do so will undermine relationships with international partners," he warned in a statement.

Britain, the former colonial power in Uganda which criminalised homosexuality during its rule, said it was "appalled" and called the law "deeply discriminatory".

"It will increase the risk of violence, discrimination and persecution, will set back the fight against HIV/AIDS," Britain's Minister for Development and Africa Andrew Mitchell said.

The UN Human Rights Office, whose commissioner Volker Turk in March described the bill as "among the worst of its kind in the world", also condemned its passage into law.

"It is a recipe for systematic violations of the rights of LGBT people & the wider population," the office said on Twitter.

Ashwanee Budoo-Scholtz, Africa deputy director for Human Rights Watch, told AFP that it was "discriminatory and is a step in the wrong direction for the protection of human rights for all people in Uganda".

Amnesty International also said the signing of this "deeply repressive law is a grave assault on human rights".

But the legislation has broad public support in Uganda, a majority Christian country that has pursued some of the toughest anti-gay legislation in Africa, where around 30 nations ban homosexuality.

"We have stood strong to defend the culture, values and aspirations of our people," parliament speaker Anita Among, one of the bill's main proponents, said in a statement.

Living in fear

Discussion of the bill in parliament was laced with homophobic slurs, and Museveni himself referred to gay people as "deviants".

God refers to them as 'abominations'! All of the complaints listed here come from leftist, godless people or groups. The propagation of LGBTQ ideology is a direct attack on Christianity, and it's intentionally so. As the world draws closer and closer to Sodom and Gomorrah, people are less and less ready to stand before Jesus Christ in judgment. But they will!

Frank Mugisha, executive director of Sexual Minorities Uganda, said the law would "bring a lot of harm" to the country's already persecuted LGBTQ community.

"We feel so, so, so worried," he told AFP.

The revised bill said "a person who is believed or alleged or suspected of being a homosexual, who has not committed a sexual act with another person of the same sex, does not commit the offence of homosexuality".

An earlier version also required Ugandans to report suspected homosexual activity to the police or face six months' imprisonment.

Lawmakers agreed to amend that provision, and instead the reporting requirement pertained only to suspected sexual offences against children and vulnerable people, with the penalty raised to five years in jail.

Anyone who "knowingly promotes homosexuality" faces up to 20 years in jail, while organisations found guilty of encouraging same-sex activity could face a 10-year ban.

Aid cuts

Reaction from civil groups in Uganda has been muted following years of authoritarian rule under Museveni.

Or, it could be that civil groups actually agree with the law.

But the European Parliament voted in April to condemn the bill and asked EU states to pressure Museveni to not implement it, warning that relations with Kampala were at stake.

Asuman Basalirwa, the MP who sponsored the bill, said that aid cuts were expected and that Among, the parliament speaker, had already been informed her US visa had been revoked.

There has never been a conviction for consensual same-sex activity since independence from Britain in 1962.

May 28 (UPI) -- North Korea once sentenced a toddler to life in a prison camp because the baby's family had been caught with a copy of the Bible, according to a new report from the U.S. State Department.

While the incident happened in 2009, it was highlighted in the State Department's Report on International Religious Freedom: Democratic People's Republic of Korea for 2022 published earlier this month.

"The entire family, including a two-year-old child, were given life sentences in political prison camps," the report reads.

The report, based on the accounts of defectors who fled the brutal regime between 2007 and 2020, also documented the tales of other Christians who have been imprisoned or have faced the death penalty under the reign of Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Un.

Open Doors USA, a non-governmental organization that documents the persecution of Christians worldwide, estimates that there are around 400,000 Christians in North Korea -- just 1.5% of the national population -- of which an estimated 70,000 are in "horrendous" prison camps.

The North Korean government also particularly targets Shamanism and Cheondoism, also known as Cheondogyo, a modern religious movement based on a 19th-century Korean neo-Confucian movement.

"The government ruled by the Kim family views Christians as the most dangerous political class of people, and the persecution is violent and intense," according to Open Doors.

"North Korean parents often hide their faith from their children. Churches of more than a few people are non-existent and most worship is done as secretly as possible."

The State Department said in its report that there are a small number of registered religious institutions that include churches but that they operate "under tight state control" and are mostly "showpieces" for foreigners visiting the exclusive country.

The punishments for religious practices largely fall under two provisions in the country's legal code, one which makes it illegal to possess or distribute media "that reflect decadent, carnal, or foul contents" and another that bans "superstitious activities in exchange for money and goods."

"There were reports the government continued to execute, torture, arrest, and physically abuse individuals engaged in almost any religious activities," the report reads.

The COVID-19 pandemic also exacerbated the problems faced by Christians and people of other faiths in North Korea, a dominantly atheist country, according to U.S. officials.

It's a communist country, which the reporter has managed to avoid writing in this entire report.

Border restrictions levied during the pandemic resulted in "further reductions in the flow of escapees" which has made it difficult for the world to grasp the extent of the problems within North Korea.

The State Department report cited another report from 2021 released by Korea Future, a non-profit organization whose mission is to investigate and document human rights violations in North Korea.

According to that report, women and girls made up more than 70% of victims of religious persecution in North Korea.

"[Officials] worked us hard without feeding us properly," one victim said.

"I suffered from malnutrition and was sure I would not survive. I kept having diarrhea, even when I only drank water, and I weighed just 35 kilograms [77 pounds]. Today I weigh 60 kilograms [132 pounds], so I was like a skeleton back then."

The report came as Jung Young-lim, a North Korean official, issued a statement praising the Arab League of Nations for considering "taking joint action to reject foreign interference in the region" which the regime believes shows the "catastrophic consequences" of the "U.S.-driven Arab Spring" in 2011.

While it may be news, or even considered 'fake news' that the USA was behind the Arab Spring initiative, there is certainly an element of truth to it.

The Pew Research Center estimated in 2011 that the population of Muslims in North Korea was just around 3,000. There is only one mosque in North Korea.

Italy: Muslim migrant brutally beats his underage girlfriend

to force her to have an abortion

20-year-old under house arrest

Translated from “Picchia brutalmente la compagna minorenne per costringerla ad abortire, 20enne ai domiciliari,”
L’Unione Sarda, May 20, 2023:

It happens in Catanzaro: at the height of a quarrel the girl – 16 years old – was savagely beaten, she was also hit with numerous kicks, which caused her injuries for which the young woman was forced to go to hospital.

The protagonist of the brutal beating was a twenty-year-old Moroccan, who after the complaint of his partner was arrested by the carabinieri on charges of mistreatment in the family and an attempt to procure an abortion.

Against the young man, already known to the police for crimes against property, a precautionary custody order was carried out under house arrest issued by the investigating judge of the Calabrian city at the request of the local Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The two had been in a stable relationship for a few months but were not cohabiting: the minor was judged curable in 21 days by the doctors of the Pugliese-Ciaccio hospital in Catanzaro. The young woman, after being heard by the carabinieri and the formalization of the complaint against the cohabitant, was taken to a protected structure.

The Qur’an teaches that men are superior to women and should beat those from whom they “fear disobedience”: “Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because Allah has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them.” — Qur’an 4:34

Muhammad’s child bride, Aisha, says in a hadith that Muhammad “struck me on the chest which caused me pain, and then said: ‘Did you think that Allah and His Apostle would deal unjustly with you?’” — Sahih Muslim 2127

An another hadith states: “Rifa`a divorced his wife whereupon `AbdurRahman bin Az-Zubair Al-Qurazi married her. `Aisha said that the lady (came), wearing a green veil (and complained to her (Aisha) of her husband and showed her a green spot on her skin caused by beating). It was the habit of ladies to support each other, so when Allah’s Messenger came, Aisha said, ‘I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women. Look! Her skin is greener than her clothes!’” — Sahih Bukhari 7.77.5825

Islam does not oppose abortion, as you can see here.

In the Qur’an, a mysterious figure, known as Khidr in Islamic tradition, kills a boy in an apparently random and gratuitous attack. He then explains: “And as for the boy, his parents were believers, and we feared that he would overburden them by transgression and disbelief. So we intended that their Lord should substitute for them one better than him in purity and nearer to mercy.” (18:80-81)

And according to Islamic law, “retaliation is obligatory against anyone who kills a human being purely intentionally and without right.” However, “not subject to retaliation” is “a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring’s offspring.” (Reliance of the Traveller o1.1-2).

Muslims commit 91 percent of honor killings worldwide. The Palestinian Authority gives pardons or suspended sentences for honor murders. Iraqi women have asked for tougher sentences for Islamic honor murderers, who get off lightly now. Syria in 2009 scrapped a law limiting the length of sentences for honor killings, but “the new law says a man can still benefit from extenuating circumstances in crimes of passion or honour ‘provided he serves a prison term of no less than two years in the case of killing.’” And in 2003 the Jordanian Parliament voted down on Islamic grounds a provision designed to stiffen penalties for honor killings. Al-Jazeera reported that “Islamists and conservatives said the laws violated religious traditions and would destroy families and values.”

Switzerland: Muslim migrant brutally rapes several underage girls,

cannot be deported

One would almost get the idea that Leftist judges want people such as this savage to remain in the country, to continue terrorizing the populace into submission. And one would be right.

Switzerland: Moroccans brutally raped several minors

translated from “Schweiz: Marokkaner vergewaltigt brutal mehrere Minderjährige,”
Heimat Kurier, May 26, 2023

A few years ago he brutally beat his stepfather. Now he is being tried again. “Rachid S.” is said to have raped three girls, at least two of whom were minors. The fact that the sex offender was not deported long ago is thanks to left-wing desk offenders in the judiciary. In the meantime, 74 percent of all rapes in Switzerland are committed by migrants.

Last year, the Moroccan beat his stepfather bloody in front of a courtroom. Shortly before, his migrant mother was convicted of false accusations and attempted deprivation of liberty.

The 18-year-old martial artist was already threatened with expulsion from the country. However, the ideologically infiltrated cuddly justice made use of the so-called “hardship clause” and refrained from expelling them from the country. The notorious violent criminal is now on trial again. He is said to have brutally raped three girls, including his ex-girlfriend.

In view of the conditions in the Swiss judiciary, however, it is by no means certain whether a conviction in view of these bestial acts will be sufficient for a country expulsion this time.

Disturbing allegations by the victims

The Moroccan has now been in Waagdorf detention center for eight months. The Basel public prosecutor raises serious allegations against the migrant: multiple rapes, sexual assault and desecration as well as sexual acts with children and physical harm.

In June 2020, he violated a 15-year-old girl against her will in the socio-pedagogical residential home where he is housed. In the same building he is said to have raped his girlfriend before a boxing match in September. She tried to resist and made it clear verbally that he should let go of her. According to the victim, the suspected sex offender simply continued in an almost animalistic manner. When she pretended to be dead, all he would have said was “I’m almost done”. A month later, the victim wanted to go to a party. However, her “friend” Rachid S. was against it and so the Moroccan brutally choked her on the neck and hit her in the face.

Arab misogyny

The third victim of the then 18-year-old rapist was again a minor. In August 2022 he is said to have mercilessly raped his 14-year-old “colleague.” This time, too, the girl desperately defended herself physically and verbally. But without success. After the brutal rape, the Moroccan sneered and asked if she was still a virgin. When the victim said yes, he just said impassively, “that’s how he deflowered her” and then told her to “f*** off.”

The Moroccan’s behavior is symptomatic of relationships between European girls and young Arab men. The dominant ideological society doctrine leaves young girls completely ignorant of Arab-Islamic customs and how they treat women. Therefore, many victims only realize when it is too late that they are often nothing more than a piece of meat for their strangers. This pattern is evident across the crime landscape.

Foreign perpetrators – local victims

The dramatic level of insecurity on Swiss roads is generally an imported problem. 7 out of 10 inmates in all prisons do not have a Swiss passport. The number of migrants who are also Swiss citizens can only be guessed at due to data obfuscation. In the rape category, 74% of all offenders are foreigners or migrants, as in the case described here. The increasing brutality among migrant youth is taking place primarily in the cities. A quarter of all schoolchildren in the Confederation are already the children of asylum seekers and primarily attend city schools. But these devastating consequences of the population exchange are completely irrelevant to the political leaders.

Activist Campaign “Safe Borders – Safe Roads”

One reason why many crimes are committed by serial offenders is the so-called Swiss “hardship clause.” In a good 50 percent of all offenses that would result in deportation, left-liberal judges make use of it, thus ensuring that violent migrants remain in the country.

In order to draw attention to this endangerment of the native Swiss by the judiciary, patriotic activists recently launched the campaign “safe borders – safe streets”. With it, they want to draw attention to the immense proportion of foreign criminals. Central demands are the abolition of the hardship clause and the consistent deportation of all migrants who have committed crimes. In order to be able to guarantee sustainable security in Switzerland in the future, especially for young women, a consistent remigration policy as well as a migration stop and securing the country’s borders are essential.

Good plan, I wish the campaign great success. We need such a program in every European country. Left-leaning judges have a lot of blood on their hands, but don't seem to mind. The day will come when they will pay as they stand before Jesus Christ.

Reservoir search in Madeleine McCann case uncovers ‘relevant clue’

If she is alive, Maddie would be 20 now (12 May 2023). With all the scenarios running through my head as to what might have happened to her, I often think it would be better if she is in Heaven. We may have to wait until we get there to find out the whole story. God have mercy on that girl and her family.

A three-day police search of a remote Portuguese reservoir has reportedly turned up a “relevant clue” in the 2007 disappearance of British tot Madeleine McCann.

Portuguese authorities on Thursday wrapped up their search of the Algarve reservoir some 30 miles from the Praia da Luz resort, where the 3-year-old girl was last seen alive 16 years ago.

German sex offender Christian Brueckner, 45 — jailed in his homeland for an unrelated case — allegedly visited the reservoir “some days” after Madeleine vanished.

Portuguese Judiciary Police were tight-lipped about the outcome of the search, which involved sniffer dogs, digging equipment, a drone and a tree cutter, saying the effort “resulted in the collection of some material that will be subject to the competent expertise. The material collected will be handed over to the German authorities.”

Portuguese newspaper Correio de Manha (Morning Mail) reported that in the course of the search, cops came upon a “relevant clue,” but it’s unknown what it was.

Several items were reportedly removed from the Barragem do Arade dam area, including a bra strap, pieces of fabric and plastic items, but it’s unclear if they’re related to Madeleine’s case, the Mirror reported.

Police were reportedly searching for a gun and a camcorder that allegedly belonged to Brueckner — and had been stolen and then thrown away by two of his former accomplices in a petty-crime gang.

According to a jailhouse informant, the camcorder was believed to have footage of Brueckner torturing and raping an American woman and a teenage girl, the Daily Mail reported.

The latest search came after a request from German authorities and involved Portuguese, German and British detectives.

Work crews flattened a 160-square-foot area and dug 2-foot-deep holes. Additional holes were dug closer to the reservoir, which is less than half full because of a drought.

German prosecutor Christian Wolters said authorities would assess the outcome and may issue a statement as early as next week.

In 2020, German officials named Brueckner, who was in the Algarve in 2007, as a suspect in the toddler’s murder, but he has not been charged and has denied any involvement.

Brueckner is serving a seven-year prison sentence in Germany for raping a 72-year-old woman in Portugal in 2005.

The disappearance of the little girl has gotten worldwide attention, spawning several books and true-crime documentaries.

Police investigators in three countries are still trying to piece together what exactly happened the night Madeleine vanished from her bed on May 3, 2007. She was sharing a room at the Praia da Luz resort with her 2-year-old twin siblings while the children’s parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, had dinner with friends at a nearby restaurant.

Gerry and Kate McCann had left their three children sleeping alone in a vacation apartment when
Madeleine was kidnapped.

When Kate went to check on the kids around 10 p.m. that night, she found a window open and Madeleine gone.

Earlier this month, the McCanns shared a heart-rending tribute to their missing daughter on what would have been her 20th birthday.

“Happy birthday Madeleine! We love you and we’re waiting for you. We’re never going to give up,” they wrote on Facebook.
