Everyday thousands of children are being sexually abused. You can stop the abuse of at least one child by simply praying. You can possibly stop the abuse of thousands of children by forwarding the link in First Time Visitor? by email, Twitter or Facebook to every Christian you know. Save a child or lots of children!!!! Do Something, please!

3:15 PM prayer in brief:
Pray for God to stop 1 child from being molested today.
Pray for God to stop 1 child molestation happening now.
Pray for God to rescue 1 child from sexual slavery.
Pray for God to save 1 girl from genital circumcision.
Pray for God to stop 1 girl from becoming a child-bride.
If you have the faith pray for 100 children rather than one.

PCMadness Fueling Spectacular Rise in Children Seeking Transgender Treatment

'Some are confused, some are trapped in the wrong body'
Astonishing 50 kids a week referred to sex change clinics

The growing acceptance of gender issues may have fueled the rise in the number of children being referred, experts believe

A record 50 children a week are being referred to gender realignment doctors.

Kids aged just four are among those believing they want to change their sex.

One specialist said: “This is a massive increase.”

The growing acceptance of gender issues may have fuelled the rise in the number of children being referred, experts believe.

Fifty a week are being sent to see specialists because they are unhappy with the body they were born in, figures obtained by the Mirror show.

Those aged 11 or over may be treated with powerful hormones to prevent them going through puberty.

Once they reach a more mature age they can decide whether they still want to go ahead with gender realignment.

If they do, girls are given testosterone and boys oestrogen to trigger the change.

Gender dysphoria expert Professor Ashley Grossman insists this puberty blocking treatment “does not harm children” but gives them extra time to make the crucial decision.

The Oxford University endocrinologist said: “Many of these children have very mild gender dysphoria and are not very happy in their gender but puberty is a very confusing time. Others are clearly trapped in the wrong body.

“We have used these treatments for children who, for whatever reason, start puberty early, some as young as seven which can be very distressing.

“These drugs just buy them another couple of years before they decide to do anything permanent.

“They can then get to the age of 16 or 17 and say, ‘Things are starting to sort themselves out, I want to go through puberty.’ Others do not.

“There is a bit of a call from the public that they are being over-diagnosed and people get disturbed about medicating children but with puberty blockers they are not being treated, just given time.

“There are no legal restrictions but I would feel very uncomfortable about giving a child hormones to change their gender or sex before they are mature.”

The number of children visiting Britain’s specialist clinic the Gender Identity Development Service, hosted by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust in London, has risen by 24% to 1,302 in the past six months.

Among them were two children aged four, four five-year-olds and 17 kids of six.

In 2016/17 there were 2,016 children referred to the clinic. This is on track to rise
in 2017/18 to 2,600.
In 2009 there were 97.

Prof Grossman said: “This is a massive increase. We don’t know whether this is a true increase or that these kids in the past just didn’t know this service existed.

“I only deal with adult patients but the majority tell me they realised they had gender problems when they were young but hadn’t seen a medical professional until an adult. There is more realisation now.”

GIDS director and clinical psychologist Dr Polly Carmichael added: “There is no single explanation for the increase.

“But we do know there has been significant progress towards the acceptance and recognition of transgender and gender diverse people in our society, coupled with greater knowledge about specialist gender clinics and support available.”

They have ignored the fact that transgendering is a huge fad on social media among teens and pre-teens. Someone who lets out that they are curious about the idea, almost instantly becomes very popular.

Around 40% of children who attend GIDS are prescribed puberty blocking drugs. But gender expert Professor Miroslav Djordjevic suggested the rise could be in part a fad among parents who indulge their children.

He said: “I cannot believe the 50 a week will all be transgender. We’re seeing a lot of parents who come for help because they are not sure if there children are transgender or just being children,

“To say a girl of five is transgender is impossible. But it is easier to ask than not do anything and children suffer. At the minute it’s something like a fashion.

“And of course there is a danger children could regret having treatment.”

And there is good reason to believe that many, if not most do regret the treatment. The general attempted suicide rate among transgenders exceeds 35% - 20 times the rate of non-trans people. Among young women transitioning to men, it is more than 50%.

The reason for this psychological trauma (35% attempted suicide rate) can be found in marks made by Dr. Paul R. McHugh, the former psychiatrist-in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital, who said in a commentary in the Wall Street Journal in 2015 that transgenderism is a “mental disorder” that merits treatment, that sex change is “biologically impossible,” and that people who promote sexual reassignment surgery are collaborating with and promoting a mental disorder.

McHugh also reported on a then-current study showing that the suicide rate among transgendered people who had reassignment surgery is 20 times higher than the suicide rate among non-transgender people. The transgendered person’s disorder, said McHugh, is in the person’s “assumption” that they are different than the physical reality of their body, their maleness or femaleness, as assigned by nature. It is a disorder similar to a “dangerously thin” person suffering anorexia who looks in the mirror and thinks they are “overweight,” said McHugh.

Dr Miriam Stoppard believes the rise reflects “parental concern” about their children’s wishes.

She added: “We have to understand the importance of not consigning someone to a gender they feel they aren’t, by letting them go through puberty. That’s inhuman and inhumane. The first prerequisite for a child with gender dysphoria is to have parents on their side.

Approximately 85% of gender confused kids normalize after puberty. Puberty blockers may prevent that normalization from happening. That is genuinely inhumane!

“This is an important driver of the increased numbers. No parent can bear their child to be stuck in a gender no man’s land.

“I’m sure the universal acceptance of LGBTQ pioneers has helped legitimise and publicise gender dysphoria and its treatment.”

Singer Paloma Faith has told how she is bringing her first child up as gender neutral. The 36-year-old refuses to reveal the sex of her baby, born in December. She said: “I want three kids and they’ll be gender neutral.”

Good grief! Those poor children!

My child, 8, goes to school as a girl. It is not 'just a phase'

A mum whose eight-year-old child started school as a girl has called for more investment in gender realignment clinics.

Tegan Dyason, born as Tom, has been wearing girls’ clothes since the age of three and began visiting gender specialists last year. Her mum Michelle has called for people to accept it is “not just a phase”.

She has welcomed news more children have been referred for treatment and called for even more to be spent.

“I have spoken to a lot of parents but the majority are on waiting lists to get in to clinics,” she said. “We need more investment in these medical services.

“We were lucky, we got seen quickly, but there’s more children and teenagers experiencing gender issues and, more than anything for the children’s safety, money is needed to make sure they are being dealt with as intensely as they need to be.

“I would hate to see them starting to rush people through. I think that’s when mistakes could be made.” Tegan will have years of assessment before she is old enough to be considered for medical intervention at puberty.

'I regret treatment... giving it to kids could be perpetuating a great harm'

A woman who began treatment to become a man and later regretted it has warned against letting young children have such procedures.

Kate, 30, who spoke on condition of anonymity, injected herself with hormones, causing her voice to drop and facial hair to grow. She gave up after deciding she was not transgender.

The medical student, who started her treatment in her early 20s, said she felt encouraged to do so after visiting online forums. She said: “I’m very concerned that if I was a teenager now or even younger, I or my parents would be pushed to consider me then as transgender. I would have welcomed that at the time.

“I wanted to be a boy when I was younger because boys were allowed to be assertive and confident.

“A young person may now take hormones or have surgery and later regret it. By giving treatment to children we may be perpetrating a great harm.”

Kate said only last year did she become comfortable as a female. She said her deeper voice and facial hair are a constant reminder of how “misguided” she was.

Four careful stages that lead to body's final change

The Gender Identity Development Service is seen as a world leading centre for treatment of dysphoria. It adopts a “staged model of care” to guard against children taking steps to change their sex and then regretting it.

Kids as young as three are offered counselling along with their parents when they first present at the clinic. This can last for years. Assessments are done around self-harm and suicide risk. Just before puberty the patient can be prescribed hormone blockers.

The full psychological effects of these drugs, or whether
they alter the development of the brain, is unknown.

But, what the Hell, let's give it to them anyway
- they're just kids!!!!!!!!!

But they allow the youngster time to explore their developing gender identity with a team of specialists.

The third stage, from age 16, is to prescribe either oestrogen or testosterone after a minimum of 12 months on hormone blockers.

This can cause irreversible changes to the body such as growth of breast tissues. Doctors require the person to be in education or employment in their preferred gender role.

Stage four is surgery to change the sexual organs.

NYPD Captain Under Fire for Saying Police ‘not too Worried’ About Date Rape Rise

© Reuters

A NYPD captain’s dismissive remarks about a 62.5 percent spike in reported rapes in 2016 has drawn a backlash. Peter Rose said the police were not worried about it because in most of the cases, the victims knew the perpetrators.

Rose commands the 94th Precinct, in the Greenpoint neighborhood in Brooklyn. In 2016, there were 13 rapes reports there, compared to eight in 2015, with three cases remaining unsolved

Rose described the situation to the news website DNAinfo ahead of a meeting with the community council as something the police are not concerned about.

“Some of them were Tinder, some of them were hookup sites, some of them were actually coworkers. It's not a trend that we're too worried about because out of 13, only two were true stranger rapes,” he said, adding that in many cases, victims would not cooperate with the investigation.

“Every rape should be investigated. I wish we could do more,” Rose added.

Later at the meeting on Wednesday, he reportedly made similar comments, implying that victims of rape by acquaintances are somehow less hurt than those targeted by strangers.

“They're not total abomination rapes where strangers are being dragged off the streets,” Rose said.

“If there's a true stranger rape, a random guy picks up a stranger off the street, those are the troubling ones. That person has, like, no moral standards,” he added.

Is he suggesting a date-rapist has moral standards? Seriously?

The apparent lack of compassion drew fire from public officials after the controversial comments went viral on Friday.

“The comments by the Captain do not represent the views of the mayor, our administration, or of an NYPD that is deeply committed to fighting for survivors of sexual assault,” New York Mayor Bill de Blasio's office said in a statement.

“Rape is rape, in New York City and everywhere else. The crime merits no moral qualification and does not involve shades of criminality or degrees of danger. In New York City, rape is aggressively investigated and prosecuted blind to the nature of the underlying relationship, and with an absolute focus on obtaining justice for the survivor and safety for our neighborhoods,” the mayor’s press secretary, Eric Phillps, said.

NYPD Deputy Commissioner Stephen Davis said Rose's comments “did not properly explain the complexity of issues involved with investigating rape complaints.”

“Every report of rape is thoroughly investigated by specially trained detectives in the NYPD's Special Victims Unit. All complaints of rape and other types of sexual crimes are taken seriously whether they are committed by domestic partners, acquaintances, or strangers,” Davis told the media.

Some women’s rights groups called for Rose to be dismissed for his inappropriate comments.

US statistics on perpetrators of rape are in line with what the NYPD precinct reported. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, only about 14 percent of such crimes are committed by strangers. The victim support group RAINN - Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network, on the other hand, says 28 percent of rapes are committed by total strangers.

So using the CDC's figures, that would mean the NYPD are not too concerned about 86% of all rapes in the city. Chief Rose's comments may not represent the official attitude of NY city or even the NYPD, but I fear it reflects the attitudes of far too many people in the NYPD. An anonymous survey might be very interesting.

Record Rates of Sexually Transmitted Diseases Hit US – CDC

    © Jean-Paul Pelissier / Reuters

Cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis reached records levels in 2015 among young Americans, according the federal health officials. Highest rates are among gay and bisexual men. Among the causes are budget cuts in STD clinics and dating apps.

In 2015, there were more than
1.5 million chlamydia cases reported,
nearly 400,000 cases of gonorrhea,
and nearly 24,000 cases of syphilis

According to the new report in 2015, there were more than 1.5 million chlamydia cases reported, nearly 400,000 cases of gonorrhea, and nearly 24,000 cases of syphilis. In just a year since 2014, chlamydia cases grew by 5.9 percent, gonorrhea by 12.8 percent and syphilis great by 19 percent, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in a national study.

“We have reached a decisive moment for the nation,” Dr. Jonathan Mermin, director of the CDC’s center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention said in a release. “STD rates are rising, and many of the country’s systems for preventing STDs have eroded. We must mobilize, rebuild and expand services – or the human economic burden will continue to grow.”

The 2015 data showed Americans 15 to 24 years old accounted for nearly two-thirds of chlamydia diagnoses, and half of the gonorrhea cases. Gay and bisexual men accounted for the majority of gonorrhea cases, and 82 percent of syphilis cases. The health agency also said antibiotic-resistant gonorrhea may be higher among men who had sex with men.

The high rates of gonorrhea among men, the CDC thinks might be attributed to the advent of HIV treatment. Some may have stopped using condoms so consistently because they are no longer afraid of a deadly infection.

“But, unfortunately, HIV treatment has no impact on prevention of (other) STDs,” Dr. Gail Bolan, Director of CDC’s Division of STD Prevention said, according to NBC. “Unless you are using condoms consistently and correctly, you are putting yourself at risk for STDs.”

Rate of Chlamydia infections in blacks is
5.9 times the rate for whites

The study found higher rates of chlamydia among black than white at 5.9 times the rate, and among American Indians than white at 3.8 times the rate.

Rates of gonorrhea infection were higher in the West and the South, and greater for men.

Other findings were the number of women diagnosed with syphilis had grown 27 percent, and infections from pregnant women to their babies had increased by 6 percent.

There are estimated 20 million new STDs cases in the US each year and half of these are among young people 15-24 years old.

The CDC said in 2012, 52 percent of state and local STD programs experience budget cuts, causing a reduction in clinic hours, contact tracing, and screening for common STDS. That same year, 21 local health department STD clinics closed.

A recent example was the Illinois Department of Health stopped paying for STD tests at 100 jails and local health department across the state.

All three of the diseases can be treated with antibiotics but the CDC said found part of the cause could be attributed to cuts in budgets to more half the STD programs at the state and local levels. In one year alone they discovered more than 20 health department STD clinics were closed.

“Fewer clinics mean reduced access to STD testing and treatment for those need these services,” said the CDC.

The federal health agency found young people and gay and bisexual men continued to face the greatest risk of becoming infected with STD.

430 babies born with syphilis

The health monitoring agency said there is a troubling increase in syphilis among newborns with 430 babies born with the disease.

“Up to 40 percent of babies born to women with untreated syphilis may be stillborn, or die from infection as a newborn,” said the CDC.

40 percent of babies born to women with untreated syphilis
may be stillborn, or die from infection as a newborn,

The agency found some women get no prenatal care at all, about 22 percent of those women with infected babies had no prenatal care in 2014, and others were tested early in the pregnancy but not later on.

“The health outcome of syphilis – miscarriage, stillbirth, blindness or stroke – can be devastating,” Dr. Bolan said in a release. "Every pregnant woman should be tested for syphilis, and sexually active gay and bisexual men should be tested for syphilis at least once a year.”

“The health outcome of syphilis –

Without testing and treatment, STD cases can do undiagnosed putting people at risk for severe and often irreversible health problems, including infertility, chronic pain and increased risk for HIV. The CDC also estimates STD cases can increase health care costs as much as $16 billion a year.

The report comes with recommendations. Pregnant women should be screened for STD as part of routine medical and prenatal care. STDs to be talked about publicly and condoms emphasized as well as monogamy. State and local health departments should direct more resources to areas hardest hit by the STD epidemic.

While some reports have linked dating and hook-up apps with an increase in STDs in some communities, Mermin said there's no hard evidence to show cause and effect. And he said such apps can be tools for good.

"The dating apps can also be vectors of prevention by increasing the amount of prevention information that people can see and also by linking people to STD and HIV testing," he said, according to NBC.

Girls Staying Virgins Longer in US

Girls are losing their virginity later in life,
according to a new survey

Forget the prom or the back seat of a car – more girls are waiting until after college to lose their virginity, a new survey finds.

The "Ultimate College Girl Survey," conducted by HerCampus.com, an online community for college women, was conducted during the 2011-12 academic year and involved nearly 2,600 participants between the ages of 17 and 23.

Sixty-nine percent of those surveyed said that they didn't lose their virginity until they turned 18, while 43 percent of respondents were still virgins at the time of the survey.

OK, I used to be good at math but it seems to have slipped away from me. If 69% didn't lose their virginity until they were 18, how could 43% still be virgins at the time of the survey?

For those respondents who had already had sex, 12.3 percent lost their virginity at 17, while 9.5 percent said that their first time was at age 16. Participants hailed from 677 different US schools, with graduating classes 2012 through 2015 almost equally represented.

"The delay in first sex in the HerCampus.com survey seems high, which may be due to selectivity in who is interviewed," Laura Lindberg, a senior research associate at Guttmacher, told Self Magazine. "However, it's not surprising that girls attending college wait to have sex later than other girls, for many reasons," she says, citing race, income and parents' education as potential factors.

Even still, she adds that being a virgin likely has less of a stigma today than it has in recent years. "We hear over and over from readers that they are waiting for the right guy to have sex for the first time, rather than simply viewing it as an item to check off their high school or college bucket list," Kaplan says.

According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the US, young girls are waiting longer to have their first sexual experience. The proportion of 15- to 19-year-old females who had been sexually active at least once declined from 51 percent in 1988 to 43 percent in 2006-2010.

For males, CDC data suggests the decline is even greater -- the proportion of 15- to 19-year-old males who had been sexually active at least once dropped from 60 percent in 1988 to 42 percent in 2006-2010.

That's pretty amazing!
