Court of Appeal rules: Life sentence for murder of ‘too white’ pregnant woman

Domestic. The Court of Appeal today confirmed the sentence for Mohamedamin Ibrahim, 22, to life imprisonment for the murder of his girlfriend Saga in Örebro. The murder took place when his mother “did not accept that he was with a white girl.”
On April 29, 2023, Somali Mohamedamin Ibrahim murdered his girlfriend Saga, 20, in an apartment in Örebro. The Somali man and the woman had a relationship and were expecting a child together
She was seven months pregnant at the time with a healthy boy, who also died in the womb at the time of the murder.
The prosecutor has previously stated that the murder was committed because he did not want to tell his family that he had a relationship with a “white” non-Somali. Saga had a Thai background.
Thais are not white! What craziness!
“The suspect’s family has not accepted that he was with a white girl,” prosecutor Elisabeth Anderson told Expressen in connection with the prosecution.
Among other things, in January last year the mother confronted Ibrahim that her car, which he used, had been seen parked at Saga’s address.
This made the mother furious:
“Don’t come to me. I am no longer your mother. I am Islamic and Somali,” she wrote in one message.
In his response, Ibrahim denied the relationship:
“I’m also Muslim and Somali and I don’t go home to a white person.”
The district court convicted Mohamedamin Ibrahim according to the indictment and determined the penalty to life imprisonment. He would also pay damages to the woman’s relatives.
His mom must be so proud now. He murdered the girl he got pregnant and the viable boy she was carrying, and he'll spend the next 20 years in prison. But he's a Muslim and a Somali! Why is anyone proud of being a Somali, or a Muslim?
However, the Somali appealed the sentence. In the Court of Appeal, he requested to be acquitted and that he should not pay any damages. However, the Court of Appeal has also concluded that it is proven that the man killed Sa and that he should therefore be sentenced for murder.
“It has been a question of an extensive investigation. The total value of the evidence presented in the case is so high that it is beyond reasonable doubt that the man killed the woman,” says the president of the court, Court of Appeal lawyer Carina Tolke.
The Court of Appeal has, just like the district court, determined the penalty to be life imprisonment. According to the Court of Appeal, there are several aggravating circumstances which, taken together, mean that the penalty should be life imprisonment, including that it was a question of a protracted sequence of events where the woman must have felt strong fear of death and that the woman’s death also meant that the fetus died.
The Court of Appeal’s judgment also means that Mohamedamin Ibrahim must pay damages to Saga’s relatives.
Mohamedamin Ibrahim has received a Swedish passport and therefore cannot be deported to Somalia under current legislation.
It's time for some new legislation in Sweden. The Mother should be deported as well, if not charged as an accessory to murder.
