GA man sentenced to life in prison for
15 counts of child molestation

A Georgia man has been sentenced to life in federal prison after being found guilty of fifteen counts of aggravated child molestation.
Specifically, Pamplin has been convicted of:
- Six counts of Aggravated Child Molestation
- Three counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery
- Six counts of Child Molestation
The child, who is said to be under the age of fourteen, experienced physical harm due to Pamplin's actions.
His life sentence will be followed by a second, consecutive life sentence. Pamplin has been denied bail and probation.
Upstate NY sex offender accused of
sexually abusing 5-year-old
LOWVILLE — Joshua K. Vanweort, 28, of Harrisville, was charged Sept. 26 by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office with endangering the welfare of a child and first-degree sexual abuse stemming from a May 12, 2023 incident. Vanweort is accused of subjecting a 5-year-old child to sexual contact.
The investigation began on June 7, 2023, new information developed recently and Vanweort was arrested. He was arraigned in the Town of Turin CAP Court and remanded to Lewis County jail on no bail.
Vanweort is already a registered level 2 sex offender with two previous convictions requiring him to register.
