on the run after skipping court date

Police were searching for a man who reportedly missed a court date in a case where he is accused of sexually abusing a child over a span of 10 years.

Randall "Randy" Todd Arrington, 61, faces 15 counts related to charges in Gilbert involving the molestation and sexual assault of a child under 15 between July 2000 and July 2009, according to court records.

What on earth was a pedophile who confessed to 10 years of child sex abuse doing on parole? Is this a George Soros thing? Because it's madness.

A Maricopa County Superior Court spokesperson informed The Arizona Republic on Friday that Arrington missed his most recent court appearance. According to court records, this was an Oct. 21 settlement conference, a meeting between the prosecution and defense aimed at reaching a resolution without a trial. An arrest warrant for Arrington was issued the same day.

Arrington admitted to sexually abusing the child in a confrontation between him and the accuser as captured on a recorded Facetime call in early August 2023, according to charging documents filed the following month.

"I'm not that person that you describe, but I am, right? I am all of those things and it just — you don't even know that prison that — or that I go through because of it," he said on the call, adding, "I'm just trying to tell you as I think about it, it was like, I don't know. I honestly don't know. It was more of a playful thing, I thought."

Court documents describe multiple incidents in explicit detail, ranging from fondling to sexual assault. Arrington's accuser remembered being described as "wild and crazy" by him after one sexual assault, according to charging documents.

Court records show that a grand jury indicted Arrington in October 2023. Charging documents from September 2023 stated that Arrington’s victim feared him because he owned multiple firearms and was planning to move to Nevada.

According to court documents, Arrington, a resident of Cave Creek, was arrested in the parking lot of his Mesa workplace, where he had been employed for 35 years.

The trial against Arrington was set to begin Jan. 15, according to court records.

Hill Country man gets life sentence in child sex abuse case

A Hays County man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the repeated sexual abuse of a child, county officials say.

A Hays County jury found Randall Mosbey, 59, of Kyle, guilty of continuous sexual abuse of a child, according to the Hays County District Attorneys Office. Mosbey also pleaded guilty to a charge of invasive visual recording.

Because Mosbey had a previous conviction for a sexual offense against a child, state District Judge Dan Mills sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole, the district attorneys office said. In 1992, Mosbey was court-martialed while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and found guilty of sexual offenses against a child, according to the district attorney's office.

In the Hays County case, Mosbey sexually abused the child over several years, beginning when the child was 7 years old, according to the district attorney's office. He also placed cameras in the victim's bathroom and bedroom, according to the district attorney's office.

"We want to thank the victim in this case for having the extraordinary courage and strength to come forward and face their abuser in court," Miranda Ebersole, Hays County assistant district attorney, said in a written statement.

In a separate child sexual abuse case, a former Hays County resident was sentenced to prison this month, according to the district attorney's office.

A Hays County jury convicted Joseph Pavelka, 34, of Pflugerville and formerly of San Marcos, on two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of indecency with a child by sexual contact. State District Judge Gary Steel sentenced Pavelka to six years in prison on each count, with the sentences to be served concurrently.

Pavelka abused the victim beginning when she was six years old and he was 17, and the abuse continued when the victim was seven years old and he was 18, according to the district attorney's office.

“We would like to thank the victim for her patience and courage to face her abuser after years of being silenced,”  Cassidy Story, Hays County assistant district attorney, said in a written statement. “The jury’s verdict sent a message to her and this community that they will not tolerate child sexual abuse, regardless of the time it took for the perpetrator’s crimes to be revealed.”

Unfortunately, this pervert will be back out on the streets while his victim is still a child. That shouldn't happen. His sentence should have been consecutive for her sake.

Arkansas man sentenced to life in prison after

sexually abusing 2 kids in Escambia County

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG)An Arkansas man has been sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of child sexual abuse charges, according to the Florida State Attorney’s Office.

72-year-old Richard John Dick was designated a sexual predator and sentenced to life in prison after he was found guilty of one count of sexual battery on a victim younger than 12 and one count of lewd or lascivious molestation on a victim younger than 12.

According to the state news release, Dick sexually abused two children when they were 5 and 7 years old.

Dick was previously convicted of a sex-related offense on a child in 1985, according to officials.

It seems that predators are sentenced to Life on a second conviction. That is a good thing, however, I wish there was a way to lock them up on the first conviction until they can prove that they are no longer sexually interested in children. I have no suggestions as to how that could be accomplished, but I think it should certainly be possible in 2025. It would be nice if courts were as protective of children as they are of pedophile predators.

Federal investigators say several victims told them Phillip Wilson exposed himself to the kids, touched himself and the children and showed them porn over a several years.

Some of the victims say they were as young as six when it happened.

Court documents say Wilson admitted to all of that, but then claimed the children came on to him and said he was teaching them.

You certainly were, but it's what you were teaching them that's the problem.

A federal judge sentenced him to 17 years in prison.

DA: Man gets 390 years in Alabama

child sex crime case

AUTAUGA COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - A man found to have sexually abused a child in Autauga County is heading to prison, according to 19th Judicial Circuit District Attorney CJ Robinson.

Robinson posted on social media that Byron Mitchell Anderson, 45, was convicted by a jury last month of 12 counts of first-degree sodomy and two counts of sex abuse of a child under 12 years old.

The district attorney said Anderson was sentenced Tuesday by Judge Amanda Baxley to a total of 390 years in prison.

The 19th Judicial Circuit district attorney said Byron Anderson was sentenced to a total of 390 years in prison.

Anderson was arrested in 2021 after the victim told her mother what happened. Robinson said when the mom confronted Anderson about it on a recorded phone call, he confessed to her. She then contacted the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office.

Robinson wrote on social media, “I am very proud of the courage of this young woman to speak up. She is a hero and because of her another predator is off the streets! This is another case where great teamwork and communication between various agencies resulted in another conviction and sentence that helps protect us all.”

Michigan man gets 35 years in prison for

child sexual exploitation

A 32-year-old Holland man will spend the next 35 years behind bars for charges related to child pornography, according to the U.S. Department of Justice Western District of Michigan Friday.

Jared Hanner met Tasha Blake, 38, of Grand Haven last year, and asked her to send him explicit photos of a minor her care that was under 13 years of age.

Blake complied, but later confessed her actions to police, officials said.

Officers then confiscated Hanner's phone and found the photos, along with his request for them.

Blake plead guilty to a charge of distribution of child pornography sometime in 2024, and was sentenced to 18 years in federal prison, according to the department.

Hanner later pleaded guilty to a charge of sexual exploitation of a child and penalties for registered sex offenders, officials said. He was sentenced Friday.

“Sexual exploitation crimes against our children are especially egregious,” U.S. Attorney Mark Totten said. “We will continue to hold sexual predators and their coconspirators accountable by working with our law enforcement partners to secure a measure of justice for the minor victims and prevent future harm.”

This case was part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative aiming to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.
