MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) — A Martinsburg man has been sentenced to up to 237 years in prison for sexually abusing a girl.
Media outlets report that 39-year-old Eric K. Kadima was sentenced last week in Berkeley County Circuit Court for nine offenses involving a girl under age 12.
Circuit Judge Gray Silver described Kadima's actions as "cold, cruel and calculated" and noted that the defendant didn't clearly apologize on the witness stand.
The judge denied a motion for acquittal or a new trial, ordering Kadima to serve the sentence for each offense consecutively.

According to testimony, Kadima recorded some of the abuse on a laptop computer, but he denied that the people in images from the video were himself and the victim.
