Canada's Horrifying Child Sex Abuse Problem Gets No Mention in Election Rhetoric

What follows are 2 stories just from today's news
Then some information to help you put it into context

31 arrested, 300 charges in multi-provincial sex-trafficking operation based in Ontario

Thirty-one people, including a central "kingpin," have been arrested and more than 300 charges laid in a major investigation into a human trafficking and organized crime ring that operated around Canada.

At a news conference on Wednesday in Aurora, Ont., York Regional Police said they uncovered a network of criminals who used fraud to help fund a widespread trafficking operation.

The year-long investigation, called Project Convalesce, involved extensive time and effort by four police services from Ontario and one from Quebec, reporters were told.

York Regional Police Insp. Thai Truong said the project began when two female victims of trafficking contacted them last year about a suspected pimp, Jonathan Nyangwila

Truong said the women, who were from Quebec but based in Ontario, had tried to escape from Nyangwila. "I know they were extremely terrified to call police."

In the subsequent investigation, police uncovered a "large criminal network," said Truong, who described Nyangwila as the "kingpin" at the top of a complicated hierarchy.

The 28-year-old from Markham, Ont., is now facing more than 30 charges relating to human trafficking, firearms possession, harassment and fraud.

Underbosses and strikers

Police said they discovered a criminal organization, which Truong said has no name police are aware of, that was involved in a variety of criminal activities, including fraud and drug trafficking.

"Organized frauds are occurring across the country. The profit from the frauds that the organization is making is fuelling the human trafficking,"
said Truong.

Police said the organization was structured with Nyangwila at the top, delegating to several figureheads, including three of his brothers.

Underneath the figureheads was a group of underbosses, followed by several strikers — men paid to carry out high-risk frauds in banks and stores.

Many people working under Nyangwila "had their own stable of girls," said Truong. "For the first time we're actually seeing girls being traded within and controlled by other individuals for the benefit of the organization."

Of the 300-plus charges laid against the 31 suspects, about 100 relate directly to human trafficking.

Truong also noted that Nyangwila was arrested in July, but was able to continue controlling and directing the people working under him while in custody.

Victims assaulted, controlled, police say

Ultimately, police identified 12 confirmed victims as well as 33 other women who police believe are in the sex trade and were associated with the group over the last year.

"We're hoping they reach out to us," said Truong of the 33 women.

Wikipedia - Human trafficking in Canada has become a significant legal and political issue, and Canadian legislators have been criticized for having failed to deal with the problem in a more systematic way. Public Safety Canada defines human trafficking as "the recruitment, transportation, harbouring and/or exercising control, direction or influence over the movements of a person in order to exploit that person, typically through sexual exploitation or forced labour. It is often described as a modern form of slavery."

The RCMP, in 2005 estimated 600-800 people trafficked in Canada every year and 2-3 thousand trafficked through Canada into the USA. I am quite sure those numbers have more than doubled by now. They also reported in 2010 that there were dozens of investigations going on into trafficking in Canada. Trafficking is just one area where women and children are horribly abused. Child sex trafficking is one of the fastest growing sectors in the criminal world, if not the fastest.

Canadians among 338 charged in global child pornography operation that used bitcoin

One website contained over 250,000 unique videos of child pornography

Canadians are among the 338 people charged as part of a global criminal investigation into a child pornography website that sold videos using bitcoin digital currency, U.S. law enforcement officials said Wednesday.

The website called Welcome To Video was taken offline in March 2018 and contained over 250,000 unique videos, the U.S. Justice Department said.

Officials from the United States, Britain and South Korea described the network as one of the largest child pornography operations they had encountered to date.

Law enforcement authorities said they have arrested and charged subjects in the U.S., the United Kingdom, South Korea, Germany, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, the Czech Republic, Canada, Ireland, Spain, Brazil and Australia. The Justice Department did not specify the number of people from each country who were charged.

The site's operator, a South Korean named Jong Woo-son, and 337 users in 12 different countries, have been charged so far, authorities said.

Jong, currently serving an 18-month sentence in South Korea, was also indicted on federal charges in Washington.

Several other people charged in the case have already been convicted and are serving prison sentences of up to 15 years, the Justice Department said.

The investigation has led to the rescue of at least 23 underage victims in the U.S., Britain and Spain who were being actively abused by users of the site. Many children in the videos have not yet been identified.

Welcome to Video is one of the first websites to monetize child pornography using bitcoin, which allows users to hide their identities during financial transactions, the authorities said.

Users were able to redeem the digital currency in return for points that they could spend downloading videos or buying all-you-can watch VIP accounts. Points could also be earned by uploading new child pornography.

The Justice Department said the site collected at least $370,000 worth of bitcoin before it was taken down in March 2018 and that the currency was laundered through three unnamed digital currency exchanges.

Child pornography is another criminal activity that is exploding across the world with the advent of the internet and the frequent emergence of new technology like the dark net and Bitcoin. Google is planning on encrypting its very popular platforms which will make life so much easier for pedophiles and so much harder for child victims and the police trying to rescue them. Pedophiles are the first demographic to conquer new platforms and are there waiting for your children when they arrive.

No-one on the campaign trail in Canada, and, for that matter, in the USA Democratic leadership debates, has mentioned child pornography or child sexual abuse. If they have, it certainly never made the news headlines. But then, the media seems no more aware of child sex abuse than the politicians.

Did you know that 1 in 4 or 5 girls in Canada are sexually abused. And about 1 in 10 or 15 boys are sexually abused in Canada before they turn 18?
Did you know there are certain demographics where those numbers a much, much worse?
Did you know that the consequences of being sexually abused as a child are often extremely severe and usually lifelong?
Did you know that more children have been sexually abused in the 21st century than all the deaths and disabilities from all the wars and all the genocides of the entire 20th century?

Think about that. In 18 years, one generation of childhood, more children have been significantly damaged through child sexual abuse than all the casualties of the 20th century's wars.

Think about this. Most of those children have been sexually abused many times. Millions of children around the world are being trafficked or are prostituting themselves because of extreme poverty. One girl from Mexico was trafficked for 10 years and claims she was raped more than 43,000 times in that period.

Why is this not in the news every day? Why aren't politicians talking about it? Why aren't they holding web hosts accountable for the astonishing amount of child pornography? Remember every photo, every video, is at least one child being sexually abused.

Political correctness has the media's attention focused on transgenders, drag queens, and gay rights, while this affects only a very small number of children in school. Meanwhile, a large number of children are suffering from child sexual abuse and they get no attention at all. It's despicable! It's politically correct madness!

Britain, under David Cameron, and Australia's Royal Commission, and Pennsylvania's inquiry into Catholic priest's child abuse are the only real advances against child sexual abuse in the western world. Some centres for finding child pornography online are making progress, but the fact is, the situation is getting worse every day. More children are being abused every day.

Sexually abused children, and adult survivors, need psychological help, and they need it until they are well, not just 10 sessions, but endless, and at no cost.

We are losing a whole generation of children to this extreme epidemic of evil, and no-one seems to care. May God have mercy on us.
