NYC Man Pleads Guilty to Nearly 6,000 Photos of Child Sex Abuse and Having Sex With Dog: DA

The children were as young as 6 months old to 10 years old

A New York City man pleaded guilty on Thursday to having nearly 6,000 photos of children being sexual abused as well as charges of that he had sex with a dog, the district attorney's office said.

Queens Acting District Attorney John M. Ryan says 31-year-old Vishal Lalbeharry of Jamaica, Queens, downloaded the "horrid collection" of photos and videos of children as young as 6 months old to 10 years old being molested by adults, both men and women.

"The images accumulated by this defendant contained some of the most heinous abuse imaginable. It can not be stressed enough - pictures and videos of children being sexually abused are crime scene images and the youngsters are crime victims," Ryan said in a statement.

Among four computer laptops, four cell phones and five hard drives seized from Lalbeharry's bedroom on 95th Avenue were 16 videos of Lalbeharry having sex with a canine, according to district attorney's office.

Detectives tracked down Lalbeharry by tracing back IP addresses of computers used to share the sexual content online, according the charges.

The investigative software showed the address having downloaded 1,150 files containing images of children in March 2018. Between March and April, Lalbeharry's computer downloaded as many as 10,240 of such files.

When he was arrested, Lalbeharry told authorities that no one else had used his computer, the DA said.

Lalbeharry is set to be sentenced on Dec. 11 and he faces two years in prison, followed by a three-year post release supervision, as well as a lifetime on the sex offender registry.

2 years? Seriously? What a deal! Especially considering he was indicted on 17,725 counts (5th story on link).

Tampa, Fla, nanny gets 20 years for
sexually abusing child, having his baby
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

TAMPA, Fla. —
A former live-in nanny has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for repeatedly sexually abusing a Florida child. She later gave birth to the boy's son.

News outlets report 28-year-old Marissa Mowry was sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty to sexual battery and agreeing to be designated a sexual predator.

Authorities say the abuse started when the boy was 11 and Mowry was 22. The now 17-year-old victim and his 5-year-old son appeared Wednesday with the teen's mother, who testified that the family initially thought Mowry had a baby with her boyfriend. Her son later disclosed he was the father, and DNA proved it.

The teen's mother said this changed her son's life, but he's an "amazing dad," taking his son to school each day before going to school himself.

Platte City, Mo, man sentenced to 35 years
for 7 years of child sex abuse
By: 41 Action News Staff

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Platte City man was sentenced on Thursday to 35 years in prison for sexually abusing a girl from the time she was 8 years old.

Joshua Michael Lay, 38, pleaded guilty in May to statutory sodomy in the first degree after initially entering a not-guilty plea.

Platte County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Zahnd said Lay’s “evil acts” demanded a “lengthy” sentence.

In April 2017, a girl told staff at Children's Mercy Hospital that Lay sexually abused her, beginning sometime around 2010. She also told a child forensic investigator the abuse continued until she reported it.

Lay, after changing his plea, admitted that he once slapped the girl in the face “when she attempted to pull away from a sex act,” according to Zahnd.

“The defendant cut short this girl's childhood, something she'll never be able to regain,” Zahnd said.

McKinleyville, Ca, man sentenced to 22 years in prison
for sex abuse of girlfriend's children
by Nazy Javid

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. — A McKinleyville man has been sentenced to decades behind bars after being convicted of child sex abuse, according to the Humboldt County District Attorney's Office.

Humboldt County Superior Court Judge Christopher Wilson sentenced 60-year-old Guy Douglas Robinson to 22 years in prison, following Robinson’s guilty pleas to continuous sexual abuse of a child and lewd and lascivious acts on a child under age 14.

The case originated on July 17, 2018, when Jane Doe’s disclosure of sexual abuse was reported to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office by a person legally required to do so, the DA said.

According to the DA, Jane Doe revealed sexual abuse by her mother’s ex-boyfriend beginning when she was 6 years old, continuing until she reached age 11. The HCSO promptly set up an interview by the Child Abuse Services Team. Jane Doe provided highly specific and clear descriptions of the abuse to child forensic interviewer Dori Larson. Further investigation by HCSO deputy Ryan Hill revealed that Jane Doe’s older sister had also been sexually abused by the defendant and had reported the incident to her mother, the DA said.

And mother didn't report the pervert, but allowed her younger daughter to be molested by him. What a mother. How sick some women put their boyfriends above their own children. I hope she was charged with child endangerment.

Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm and others in the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office expressed their great respect and appreciation for Jane Doe, saying she is responsible for the degree of justice achieved in this case, and perhaps for the prevention of the abuse of others.

According to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office, 50-year-old Dwayne Scott Steel pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated sexual assault with a child and three counts of indecency with a child.

Steel was arrested in 2017 following an investigation that began in November when the victim made an outcry.
