Prairieville man sentenced to 30 years in sexual assault case involving children
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Prairieville man was sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to child sex crimes charges.
According to a release from District Attorney Ricky Babin’s office, Douglas Decuir, 44, pleaded guilty to two counts each of second-degree rape, indecent behavior with a juvenile and pornography involving juveniles with victim under 13 years of age.
A plea agreement was reached in the case stemming from a September 2021 investigation in Gonzales.

Judge Steven Tureau sentenced Decuir to 30 years with credit for time served. According to Babin’s office, Decuir will undergo surgical castration as part of the plea agreement and will be required to register as a sex offender.
Gonzales police officers responded to a home on Sept. 15, 2021, after a possible sexual assault was reported. Decuir was arrested after detectives interviewed two girls.
Scott man charged with child sexual abuse, animal cruelty
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — A man from Scott has been arrested in connection to animal and child sexual abuse charges.
36-year-old Brian Reese, 26(??), arrested and charged with 11 counts of child sexual abuse materials, and 1 count of sexual abuse of an animal.
LBI agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which kickstarted their investigation.
Reese was booked into the Lafayette Parish jail.
Man accused of sexually abusing minors in Coventry
COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — A former Coventry man accused of sexually abusing minors over the course of several years is facing more than a dozen charges.
Ken Marrocco, 64, has been charged with five counts of first-degree sexual assault, six counts of second-degree sexual assault, three counts of second-degree child molestation, and one count each of first-degree child molestation, assault with intent to commit sexual assault, indecent solicitation of a minor and possession of child pornography.
Court records indicate Marrocco pleaded not guilty to the charges last week. He posted $30,000 surety bail with home confinement conditions and was ordered not to contact any of his victims.
Police said Marrocco’s juvenile victims were known to him, but did not reveal exactly what he’s been accused of.
Marrocco’s next court date is slated for June 22.
