A 43-year-old man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Liège Criminal Court after being convicted of repeatedly raping and sexually abusing his daughter over a period of two years.

The court also ordered five years of judicial supervision following his release and issued an immediate arrest warrant.

According to the judgment, the abuse began in 2021 after the man moved from Morocco to Belgium. While his wife remained in Morocco, he brought his daughter with him to Belgium. The girl was 13 years old when the offences began.

Over the following two years, she was subjected to repeated rape and sexual assaults, the court found.

The defendant was also convicted of forgery offences linked to the purchase of medication, including emergency contraception intended for the victim.

In addition to rape charges, he faced convictions for sexual exploitation, recording sexual videos, assault and battery, harassment and possession of child sexual abuse material.

The court heard that the man used threats to maintain control over the victim, including a warning that she would be sent back to Morocco if she did not comply. With the support of family members, he also falsely claimed that her mother had died.

The defendant denied the allegations throughout the proceedings.

However, the court found the evidence sufficient to establish his guilt and sentenced him to 10 years in prison. In addition to the custodial sentence, judges imposed a five-year period during which the offender will remain under the supervision of the sentence enforcement court after his release.

His immediate arrest was ordered following Friday's ruling.

Italy: Muslim migrant beheads woman while reciting Qur’an verses

“When you meet the unbelievers, strike the necks…” (Qur’an 47:4)

Then in Italy and elsewhere in the West, we will be told that Issam Chlih and others like him are mentally ill, and that Islam doesn’t condone this sort of behavior. The people who are “experts” in the field of “counterterrorism” will assure us of this. And no one will contradict them, as those who know what the Qur’an says have already been vilified and dismissed as “Islamophobes.” And so Silke Sauer will by no means be the last person to be beheaded in this manner.

Decapitated woman: detention of Issam upheld;

‘He was reciting Quranic verses'

translated from “Donna decapitata, convalidato il fermo per Issam. ‘Recitava versetti del Corano,'” Firenze Today, June 12, 2026:

The detention of Issam Chlih—a 29-year-old homeless Moroccan national and the sole suspect in the murder of Silke Sauer—has been upheld, and a pre-trial detention order (remand in prison) has been issued. Sauer, also homeless, was a 44-year-old German woman found decapitated near an abandoned farmhouse in the park of the former CNR site in Scandicci.

The detention order was ratified by Preliminary Investigations Judge (GIP) Roberta Di Maria due to the risk that Chlih might flee or reoffend. As reported by ANSA, the “brutal” nature of the murder and the suspect’s personality led the judge to believe he might turn to contacts in his home country to escape. Furthermore, the judge noted that the circumstances of the crime and the attempt to clean up the crime scene demonstrated “an extraordinary level of criminal persistence.”

The matter of the holy book’s verses. According to the Carabinieri’s reconstruction, Issam Chlih and Silke Sauer were together on the evening of February 16 and had stopped at a bar in Florence near the Leopolda station. Witnesses reported that Chlih shouted incoherent phrases and harassed customers. Police arrived at the scene after the bar manager called the emergency number (112).

However, by the time officers arrived, the pair had already left. Around 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, they returned to Scandicci by tram. Video surveillance cameras captured them walking toward the abandoned farmhouse. They reportedly began arguing right near the building.

Other homeless individuals present in the park at the former CNR site reportedly heard screaming and a male voice reciting verses from the Quran, shouting that the devil had taken possession of the woman. Immediately afterward, a female voice—presumably Silke Sauer’s—was heard shouting “stop” in Italian.

The following day, in a state of agitation, Chlil reportedly drove away anyone approaching the dog park adjacent to the farmhouse. Passersby called emergency services, and the twenty-nine-year-old was admitted to Torregalli Hospital. The next day, Wednesday, February 18, Silke’s body was discovered.

Child-rape sentence reignites scrutiny of UK high street mini-marts

BBC
Ed Thomas - UK editor; Rebecca Wearn; Patrick Clahane

Being bribed with vapes and alcohol by mini-mart workers is a "normal" thing to hear about, two schoolgirls tell us on Hexthorpe Rd in Doncaster.

They say they are frightened to walk through the area, saying they have heard stories on social media about local girls being targeted. "It makes you scared," one tells us.

Earlier on Thursday, a local mini-mart worker was sentenced to 29 years in jail for raping six children in 2024.

Bawan Harwe, a 28-year-old Iraqi national, lured underage girls back to his flat - also on Hexthorpe Road - with the promise of free vapes and cash.

Sheffield Crown Court heard Harwe targeted the victims because of their age, plied them with drink and drugs, and raped or abused them. The youngest victim was 12 years old.

The BBC understands Harwe is seeking asylum but the Home Office says it cannot confirm his status in the UK for legal reasons.

A co-worker, Sharam Muhamadi, originally from Iran, has also been convicted of facilitating travel for exploitation. There is now a manhunt to find him after he fled the trial.

The case has thrown a spotlight once again on crimes and illegal activity centred around mini-marts in the UK.

BBC investigations have exposed - over the past 18 months - the sale of cocaine and cannabis over the counter at mini-marts, as well as child sexual exploitation, money laundering and immigration crime.

Locals living near Hexthorpe Mini Market, where Harwe and Muhamadi worked, told us they were horrified but not surprised by the pair's crimes.

The street, in one of the poorest areas of Doncaster, is lined with such shops.

Residents told us that crime in the area was being fuelled by the sale of illegal cigarettes and vapes.

It is a situation we have seen reflected in many other high streets across the UK.

One local woman, who did not wish to be named, told us she thought the area had become "lawless".

She remembered confronting Harwe about selling illegal cigarettes in his shop, and threatening to report her concerns to the police.

She said he replied: "Do you think we're scared of police?"

Without the mini-marts, she believed, the abuse would never have happened.

A local business owner, who also wished to remain anonymous, told us he was "disgusted" when he heard about the girls being drugged and raped.

He said he had reported the sales of illegal tobacco and vapes, under-age sales to children and anti-social behaviour to Doncaster council.

Multiple raids at the shop had taken place, he said, but added that it did not seem to affect business. An hour after Trading Standards left they would start selling again "straight away", he said.

He was angry and frustrated that law enforcement did not close the shops down.

Several other people told us that Hexthorpe Mini Market had been visited repeatedly by police and Trading Standards officers. Several people told us they had seen sacks of illegal cigarettes being carried out from the shop.

South Yorkshire police confirmed it was aware of enforcement action being carried out inside Hexthorpe Mini Market. City of Doncaster Council said it would not comment on ongoing investigations.

We sent undercover researchers inside the shop, where they were able to buy a packet of 20 counterfeit cigarettes for £4. We were also able to buy illegal tobacco from another mini-mart on the street.

During the trial, the jury heard that a man known as "Karzan" had arranged Harwe and Muhamadi's jobs, and their accommodation in a neighbouring flat.

The same name was repeatedly given to us on Hexthorpe Road by locals, including workers at the shop, but it is not mentioned on any official paperwork for the premises.

Karzan Hussein is named on two other businesses on Hexthorpe Road and was granted an alcohol licence by Doncaster council in May.

In a phone call, he confirmed to the BBC he had given jobs in Doncaster to Muhamadi and rented rooms in his house on Hexthorpe Road to both Barwan and Muhamadi.

Hussein said he was previously a manager at Hexthorpe Mini Market but now had nothing to do with the shop. Despite offering work and accommodation to the two convicted men, he denied knowing them or being involved in the sale of illegal tobacco.

There is no evidence Hussein knew about the abuse on the street.

During our UK-wide investigations we have reported other cases where mini-mart and vape shop workers have abused children.

In March, we told how a senior council worker had repeatedly shared with West Midlands authorities reports of children as young as 11 being sexually abused on high streets.

Extracts from intelligence briefings, from 2019 to 2024, also claim children may have been at risk of being sexually abused after being offered drugs, alcohol and cigarettes in mini-marts.

"Shops have been a disturbing blind spot for police and councils' Trading Standards departments," says David Greenwood, a solicitor who represents survivors of grooming and sexual abuse.

He believes the government's independent inquiry into grooming should contain a focus on high-street shops.

A second sign higher up lists languages including English, Polish, Slovakian, Czech, Kurdish, Arabic, and Turkish. The sky is cloudy, and a tall streetlight stands in the foreground.

Following the BBC's investigations, the government has just announced a change in the law to make it easier to shut down shops selling illegal goods.

The move has been welcomed by Trading Standards teams but in areas such as Hexthorpe Road, where some have spent decades building their businesses, there is little faith that crime gangs can be driven from the streets.

We were told by several local people that one mini-mart on the street was now selling prescription medicines, including anti-depressants, pregabalins and the weight loss drug, Mounjaro.

"So many good customers we used to have, all moved away because of this nuisance in Hexthorpe right now," one business owner told us. "This community was destroyed a long time ago."

Pakistani Christian activist over ‘blasphemy’

If any non-Muslim group offered a similar reward, the headlines would be international and insistent. But you will only hear about this here.

Radical Islamic outfit threatens to behead Pakistani Christian activist over ‘blasphemy’, announces $20,000 reward for carrying out ‘Sar Tan se Juda’

by Dibakar Dutta, OpIndia, July 28, 2024:

Pakistani Christian activist Faraz Pervaiz, who has been living in exile in Thailand for over a decade, has yet again been the subject of death threats from radical Islamic outfits.

On Saturday (27th July), he informed that a Debonadi organisation named ‘Allama Muhammad Rashid Madni Hamadi Jamia Darul Uloom Hamadiya’ had announced a $20,000 reward to behead him.

The radical Islamic outfit has accused Faraz Pervaiz of committing blasphemy by supposedly producing pictures and sketches of Prophet Muhammad. Posters, calling upon Muslims to do ‘Sar Tan se Juda’ of the Christian activist, are being circulated in Pakistan.

“According to Sharia, such a person is liable to death. It is the responsibility of the Islamic government to issue the death penalty to such a person,” the poster read.

Jamia Darul Uloom has appealed to Muslims to travel to Thailand and avenge the alleged insult to Prophet Mohammed by Faraz Pervaiz.

In a video posted on Facebook, radical Islamic preacher Muhammad Rashid Madani reiterated his unfounded claims about the Christian activist and called for his killing.

While speaking to OpIndia from Thailand, Faraz Pervaiz informed, “The purpose of putting a price on my head in Tando Adam and Sangar area is clear. I have been reporting about the forced conversion and rape of minor Hindu girls and their subsequent marriages to Muslim Men.”

The Christian activist told us that the allegations of blasphemy were designed to intimidate him to stop reporting about the plight of Hindu girls in Pakistan.

Third young girl dies after horrific mass stabbing at

Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport, UK

A third young girl died early Tuesday from the previous day’s mass stabbing at a Taylor Swift-themed dance event in the UK.

Alice Aguiar, 9, “died in hospital in the early hours of this morning,” Merseyside Police said, while identifying the two girls who died earlier Monday as Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, and Bebe King, the youngest at just 6.

Five of the eight other children injured remained in critical condition Tuesday, as do the two adults stabbed while trying to save the children, police have said.

Alice Aguiar, 9, who was identified by friends and family, “died in hospital in the early hours of this morning,” Merseyside Police said.

British police, protesters clash outside mosque

after vigil for slain girls

July 30 (UPI) -- Dozens of police officers were injured Tuesday night as law enforcement and protesters clashed in Southport where a vigil was held hours earlier for three children killed and several injured during Monday's knife attack that has the British seaside town in mourning.

Thirty-nine police officers were treated for injuries sustained in the violence, including 27 who were taken to the hospital, North West Ambulance Service said in a statement early Wednesday.

Authorities said the violence began at about 7:45 p.m. local time Tuesday when a large group of people, police suspect are supporters of the English Defense League, began pelting a local mosque.

The English Defense League is a far-right, anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant group that sees itself as a Christian army, according to the U.S.-based Anti-Defamation League.

Protesters set cars ablaze, threw bricks at the mosque and damaged a convenience store, Merseyside Police said.

Bricks stolen from garden walls were used to attack police, according to authorities.

Uncorroborated video clips of the violence posted online shows protesters, mostly men, throwing objects at police and the mosque. Some protesters are heard spouting Islamophobic chants.

At least eight officers suffered serious injuries, fractures, lacerations and concussion. At least one was knocked unconscious, Merseyside Police said.

Three police dogs were also injured, one sustaining leg injuries from thrown bricks and another suffering burns to its back legs.

The disorder prompted authorities to issue a 24-hour Section 60 Order, which gives officers enhanced stop and search powers in the designated area.

The cause of the revolt was not entirely clear, but Assistant Chief Constable Alex Goss suggested in a statement that it was in connection to "speculation and hypothesis" surrounding the 17-year-old boy police arrested on suspicion of being responsible for Monday's knife attack.

The three children stabbed to death in Southport a day prior while attending a Taylor Swift-themed dance workshop have been identified as 9-year-old Alice Aguiar, 7-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe and 6-year-old Bebe King. Five other children and two adults were also critically injured in the attack.

Police arrested the 17-year-old from Lancashire, Britain, who has been charged with suspicion of murder and attempted murder charges.

Goss reiterated Tuesday: "We have already said that the person arrested was born in the U.K. and speculation helps nobody at this time."

He added that many of those involved in the Tuesday violence do not live in the area "or care about the people of Merseyside."

"Tonight, Merseyside Police has faced serious violence in Southport," Goss said in an early Wednesday update.

"This is no way to treat a community, least of all a community that is still reeling from the events of Monday."

The violence erupted after a vigil was held in the town for the children that was attended by Home Secretary Yvette Cooper and Prime Minister Keir Starmer who lay flowers during the ceremony.

Starmer accused the protesters of having "hijacked" the vigil "with violence and thuggery" that insults the community in grieving.

"The people of Southport are reeling after the horror inflicted on them yesterday. They deserve our support and respect," he said in a statement, vowing that those responsible for the violence that followed the vigil "will feel the full force of the law."

Now if there is any possible way to blame the massacre on something other than Islamic jihad, UK police will find it. But it won't fool the people. They have had enough of Islamic madness.
