6 Rather Disturbing Stories on Today's USA PnP List

Self-proclaimed prophet gets up to 87 years
for child sex abuse

It's a wonder he didn't see that coming!
By Danielle Haynes

UPI -- A Pennsylvania judge sentenced Lee Kaplan, a self-proclaimed prophet of God who molested several young girls in the same family, to 30 to 87 years in prison.

Judge Jeffrey Finley issued six prison sentences for Kaplan, one for each of the young girls he abused, to be served consecutively.

I love that word, consecutively!

A Bucks County jury found Kaplan guilty on 17 counts of child sex abuse in June. At the time of his arrest in 2016, Kaplan was found to be living with nine sisters, their mother and two more children he fathered with the oldest sister, who is now 19-years-old. Kaplan considered six of the sisters, five of whom were underage, to be his wives.

Kaplan, 52, told police that the girls' parents, Daniel Stoltzfus and Savilla Stoltzfus, "gifted" their eldest daughter to him when she was 14-years-old. Having convinced the formerly Amish Stoltzfus couple that he was their prophet, Kaplan told Daniel Stoltzfus to have all the daughters and his wife move in with him.

The parents both received prison sentences for enabling the abuse of their daughters.

Neighbors figured something to be amiss, due to the occasional sighting of the cadre of young girls in identical, homemade blue dresses, despite Kaplan's claims to be childless. A welfare check by authorities in 2016 led to Kaplan's arrest.

Kaplan didn't admit any wrongdoing in court Wednesday.

"I'm not sure what I can say to you, honestly," Kaplan told Finley. "I honestly believe no matter what I say, no matter how true it is, the weight of the media, public opinion, and politics is too great. Do what you feel is right."

St. Lucie School Board stands by firing a teacher who blew whistle on fiancé’s sexual abuse
School District taking a heartless approach and re-victimizing a victim
Andrew Atterbury

St. Lucie County School District has more than 40,400 students in 19 elementary schools, 9 K-8 campuses, four middle schools, and five high schools. The district also has four magnet schools. ANDREW ATTERBURY/TCPALM Wochit

PORT ST. LUCIE — An administrative law judge says the school district wrongly attempted to fire a teacher in 2013 after her fiancé, a high school band director, was charged with having sex with students.

The School Board on Friday, however, by a 3-2 vote, rejected the judge's recommendation to rescind the teacher's suspension and subsequent firing and to reinstate her with back pay and benefits.

Board members Troy Ingersoll, Kathryn Hensley and Debbie Hawley voted to uphold the termination of Janifer Thomas, according to Vicki Rodriguez, president of St. Lucie County Classroom Teachers Association. Donna Mills and Carol Hilson voted to reinstate Thomas, Rodriguez said.

"As far as we’re concerned, the school district is finished with this case," Hensley said Friday.

Thomas can appeal the board's decision once it is finalized at an upcoming meeting. The board's ruling against Thomas, who still is represented by the union, is incredibly unfortunate, Rodriguez said.

"I am extremely disappointed that three members of the School Board chose to victimize Janifer Thomas yet again," Rodriguez said. "She lost everything — her home, her career, her reputation and her relationship."

In September 2013, the school district fired Thomas, then a music teacher at Manatee Academy K-8 school, for failing to report child abuse and for breaking other board policies, according to court documents.

A day after receiving her termination letter, Thomas requested an administrative hearing. The board in November 2013 revoked her termination and suspended Thomas without pay, referring her case to the Division of Administrative Hearings. But a final administrative hearing wouldn't be held until February 1, 2017. She has been suspended without pay since 2013, records show.

On Oct. 18, 2012, Thomas found a video on her computer of her live-in fiancé, Dominic Madison, engaging in "sexual activities" with someone who appeared to be a student of his, according to court documents.

Soon after finding the video, Thomas called Madison, then the band director at Treasure Coast High School, to confront him, according to court documents. After their conversation, a shaken Thomas called her pastor, who wanted to ensure the "huge allegation" was accurate.

Dominic Madison, former Treasure Coast High School band director, is led into a courtroom at the St. Lucie County Courthouse on April 1, 2016, for sentencing after pleading no contest in September to charges of sexual activity with minors. Madison was sentenced to 15 years in prison and 60 years probation as a sex offender. (Photo: PATRICK DOVE/TCPALM)

Thomas asked her pastor to call authorities because she was in an emotional state, according to court documents.

Madison was arrested Oct. 19, 2012, records show. He pleaded no contest in September 2015 to five of 40 charges of sexual activity with teen girls.

On April 1, 2016, Madison was found guilty on five counts of sexual activity with a minor, according to court documents. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison and 60 years probation as a sex offender, records show. A civil lawsuit filed last year against Madison by one of his victims is pending, records show.

While authorities were searching for Madison in 2012, Thomas spoke to him on the phone as he was staying at a local hotel, according to court documents. She did not tell law enforcement where Madison was until seven hours later, according to court documents. Thomas did not call Madison to help him elude arrest, records show.

Thomas, in 2012 was charged with being an accessory after the fact and failure to notify law enforcement of knowledge of a suspect of child abuse.

These charges were dropped in April 2016 after Madison's conviction, according to court documents.

Thomas' discovery of the video, her immediate reporting of the abuse and her later identification of the victims led to Madison’s arrest and conviction, according to court documents.

"She sacrificed everything to help put him in jail," Rodriguez said.

Once the charges against Thomas were dropped, the state administrative hearing over her firing was allowed to resume, records show.

Darren Schwartz, an administrative law judge, on May 23 recommended the district revoke Thomas' suspension and subsequent termination. Thomas should be reinstated with back pay and benefits, he ruled. The board failed to prove Thomas violated the district rules and policies alleged as the basis for firing her, Schwartz wrote.

Still, the board has the jurisdiction “to reject in whole or in part those conclusions of law and interpretation of administrative rules in the recommended order," according to court documents.

A teacher must contact the state Department of Children & Families and call 911 when child abuse is suspected, the district wrote in response to Schwartz's recommendation.

Surely there must be some leeway when the person committing the abuse is your fiance. There is no question that she did what was right in reporting him. It's not like she was trying to hide anything or anyone. She was quite traumatized by the whole thing and deserves to have some leniency for not following precise protocols.

Arizona man charged with child sex crimes

By The Daily Courier

A Prescott Valley man who worked for the City of Prescott has been charged with child sex offenses, after a victim came forward and alleged that he had assaulted her 20 years ago, Prescott Valley Police Sgt. Jason Kaufman said.

Neil Campbell, 59, was charged with one count each of continuous sexual abuse of a minor, sexual contact with a minor, and child molestation.

The victim, now 33 years old, came to police in July, and said Campbell had committed the acts when she was between 5 and 13 years old, and lived between Tucson and Prescott Valley.

“Based on the information received, the Prescott Valley Police Department began working cooperatively with detectives from the Tucson Police Department,” Kaufman said.

Prescott Police Deputy Chief Amy Bonney said that Campbell had worked for the City of Prescott since 2003, first as an Animal Control officer and then as a Parking Enforcement officer, but has been fired.

Campbell was arrested and booked into the Camp Verde jail.

I wonder what it's like to have sexually abused a child, and, for 20 years, thinking that you got away with it? Then, all of a sudden....

Judge increases bail to $15M for California brain surgeon amid 32 new charges in child rape case

Prosecutors found video of accused abusing a 5 y/o girl and a 3 y/o boy

Caution: disturbing descriptions in this article

A Northern California brain surgeon and two nurses arrested in the spring for allegedly running a child-sex ring are facing dozens more charges following the discovery of a second video allegedly depicting even more instances of molestation. The Santa Cruz district attorney’s office announced the new charges in court on Thursday.

Dr. James Kohut and the two nurses were apprehended in May after investigators says they received video images implicating the three, who were originally charged with several child molestation counts each.

The 57-year-old married neurosurgeon was accused of plotting to impregnate women in order to give birth to children he could sexually abuse in a so-called 'taboo family lifestyle,' according to prosecutors.

Litany of charges: Dr. James Kohut, 57 (pictured in mugshot, left), on Thursday was charged with 32 new felony counts involving child sex abuse

Court documents filed Wednesday show investigators finding a second video clip depicting sexual acts with a five-year-old girl, a three-year-old boy and a 10-year-old boy, which led to 32 new charges.

A judge on Thursday set bail at $15million for each defendant, up from $6.45million for Kohut. His co-conspirators were previously being held on $500,000 bail each. Kohut, 30-year-old Emily Stephens and 43-year-old Rashel Brandon each pleaded not guilty to the new criminal counts on Thursday.

The suspected child sex abuse came to light after Brandon's husband gave police a video recording he found that investigators say showed his wife and her fellow nurse Stephens molesting children.

Kohut was the Chief of Neurology Services at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz before he was asked to leave earlier this year.

'Accomplices': Kohut was arrested in May after the husband of one of Kohut's nurses, Rashel Brandon (left), 42, allegedly found a video of her abusing a child along with another of his nurses, Emily Stephens, 29 (right)

Sources told DailyMail.com that the surgeon, whose wife is a gynecologist, had upset several staff in the unit and left following several warnings about his arrogant behavior and poor bed-side manner. Following his arrest, Kohut voluntarily suspended his California medical license.

Court filings show that he had been warned about his conduct in the past, including an incident during which he was caught downloading pornography at work.

The new evidence in the case, a GoPro video filmed between January 1 and May 9, shows Kohut and his two nurses having sex multiple times with the three-year-old and 10-year-old boys, according to court documents first cited by Santa Cruz Sentinel. The recording, made in Watsonville, California. allegedly depicts the defendants engaging in oral sex, sexual intercourse and sodomy with the children.

Assistant District Attorney Steve Moore wrote that for nearly 20 years, Kohut 'has had a fixed sexual desire to be part of multiple "taboo families" where the parents raise their children sexually. 'He has a specific desire to have sex with a mother and a daughter. He then wants to impregnate the daughter and raise the child sexually in the "taboo" family lifestyle.'

The prosecutor claimed in his court filing Kohut preferred children between ages 6 and 8, and preyed on children in California, Ohio, Florida, Louisiana, Nevada and Australia.

In one case, according to Moore, Kohut told a woman from Vermont that he had been in a relationship with a mother-of-two from Florida, whom he asked to call him 'daddy,' and whose 13-year-old child he fondled.

Kohut allegedly has been using the internet since 1997 to find women to create 'taboo families,' wrote Moore. One woman reported in 2001 that the doctor wanted to build a sexual family that would practice bestiality and incest.

The married father-of-two now faces a total of 48 felony counts, up from the initial 11, with 44 for Brandon and 43 for Stephens. All three are due back in court on March 12 for a preliminary hearing.

Deputy coroner hit with child-sex charges
JAMES HALPIN

WILKES-BARRE TWP. — A deputy coroner is facing child-sex charges after being ensnared during an undercover sting operation, according to the state Attorney General’s Office.

Edward C. Smith, 60, of Willing Street, Tamaqua, is accused of soliciting sex online from what he thought was a 14-year-old boy. Investigators say Smith is a deputy coroner in Carbon and Schuylkill counties.

According to prosecutors, Smith contacted an undercover agent posing as a teen on a social networking site and tried to arrange a rendezvous despite the officer repeatedly identifying himself as a 14-year-old boy. After making plans to meet for the purposes of “kissing, cuddling and oral sex,” Smith told the agent to erase all of their chats, according to a police affidavit.

Agents with the office’s Child Predator Section arrested Smith on Wednesday evening after he arrived at the designated meeting location in Wilkes-Barre Twp. During questioning, Smith admitted to being the person behind the online conversation, saying he planned to have sex with the teen if they “clicked” upon meeting, according to the affidavit.

“Thanks to the hard work of the agents and prosecutors in our Child Predator Section, another predator is off our streets,” Attorney General Josh Shapiro said in a statement. “We have zero tolerance for the sexual abuse of children in Pennsylvania. Whoever the perpetrator may be — including a public official — we will investigate and charge these predators wherever we find them.”

Investigators charged Smith with felony counts of unlawful contact with a minor, attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and attempted criminal use of a communication facility. He was also hit with a misdemeanor count of attempted indecent assault.

Magisterial District Judge Alexandra Kokura Kravitz arraigned Smith on Wednesday night and ordered him jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility with bail set at $250,000. A preliminary hearing was set for Sept. 27.

Shelby County man now charged with rape of
5 underage girls
BY CAROL ROBINSON al.com

A young Helena, Alabama man already facing four charges of second-degree rape is now accused of sexual relations with yet another underage girl.

Helena police have charged Samuel Woods III, now 20, with two more counts of second-degree rape. He is being held without bond in the Shelby County Jail after prosecutors this week sought, and received, a bond revocation on the previous charges.

In all, Woods is accused of having sexual relationships with five girls between the ages of 12 and 16 over the past two years. He fathered a child by one of the girls.

Nearly one year ago, Alabaster police first arrested Woods for allegedly having sex in September 2015 with a girl who was 14 by the time he was taken into custody.

Samuel Woods III, 19, has now been jailed three times in less than two weeks.

A week later, Helena police arrested Woods, claiming he had sexual intercourse on June 6, 2015 with a girl who was 15 years old at the time. He was arrested in June 2016 and released from jail three days later.

Hours after his release on the Helena case, Alabaster police arrested Woods again. Each time, Woods was released on $30,000 - for a total of $120,000 in all four cases - the highest bond allowed for that charge under guidelines. A Shelby County grand jury in December 2016 affirmed the charges by issuing a four-count indictment against him. According to that indictment, the earlier cases happened September 2015, June 2015, April 17, 2016 and April 20, 2016.

Police arrest second suspect in NE Portland
child sex abuse and pornography case
by Catherine Van, KATU News

PORTLAND, Ore. — A woman's life is turned upside down after police arrested her estranged husband and her former son-in-law on dozens of charges of child sex abuse and pornography.

KATU News first first broke the story earlier this week.

Randall Henrichs, 62, pleaded not guilty to 45 charges of sex abuse, child pornography and invasion of privacy in court Monday.

Two days later, police arrested 32-year-old, Trevor Standfill who allegedly conspired with Henrichs.

Standfill's former mother-in-law, who we are calling Sandra because she doesn't want to be identified, says nobody in her family suspected either men of such lewd acts. She said Standfill was a big part of the family, a man she loved like her own son.

In a secret indictment, police accused Standfill and Henrichs of sexually abusing a child under 14 and sharing naked pictures of her along with two other women online.

Sandra is also Henrich's estranged wife. She says she married him 10 years ago and filed for divorce right after his arrest in November. She said Henrichs is now a man she doesn't even know anymore.

The same could be said about her former son-in-law.

Standfill worked as a nurse at Legacy Good Samaritan. A spokesperson from the hospital confirms he is now on administrative leave while police investigate, though there are no indications in court documents that these charges had anything to do with his workplace.

Sandra says whatever comes of the trials, it will take years before she can even come to terms with how two men close in her life turned it upside down.

Bail is set at $2,980,000 for Henrichs, that amount is more than doubled for Standfill at $5,251,500.

Both men are due in court Thursday morning.

Bail set at $6.4M for brain surgeon
charged with child rape

Officials said Kohut also discussed impregnating women to give birth to children he could sexually abuse in a so-called taboo family lifestyle

SAN FRANCISCO —
A judge set bail at $6.45 million on Wednesday for a Northern California brain surgeon charged with sexually abusing children.

Prosecutors had opposed bail for Dr. James Kohut, saying the neurologist is a public danger who recruits women to help find child victims.

The Santa Cruz district attorney’s office said Kohut also discussed impregnating women to give birth to children he could sexually abuse in a so-called taboo family lifestyle.

Prosecutors have said there is no evidence he created such a family, but they have charged him with 11 counts of sexually abusing children under the age of 14.

Kohut has pleaded not guilty.

His lawyer, Jay Rorty, did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment but has previously declined the prosecutor’s allegations. Rorty argued in court papers that Kohut does not represent a danger to the public or a flight risk.

Kohut was arrested in his Santa Cruz, California home last month along with two nurses who are charged with participating in child sex abuse with the 57-year-old doctor.

If Kohut does post bail, he will be monitored electronically. He voluntarily suspended his California medical license while the case is pending and faces 165 years in prison if convicted.

Kohut was arrested four days after police arrested Rashel Brandon, a nurse who worked with the surgeon at a nearby hospital.

Brandon was arrested after her husband gave police a video recording he found that investigators say shows Brandon and another nurse, Emily Stephens, sexually abusing children.

Court records and lawyers said Brandon implicated Kohut. Brandon is also charged with sexually abusing children and her bail has been set at $500,000.

Stephens was arrested in Tuscon, Arizona and is being held there while Santa Cruz authorities seek a court-ordered transfer to Northern California to face similar charges.

Brandon’s attorney Anthony Robinson did not immediately respond phone message seeking comment. It is unclear if Stephens has retained an attorney.

Heber City bounce house operator has child porn added to child sex abuse charges

BY TAMARA VAIFANUA,

HEBER CITY – A man accused of sexually abusing two children, is also facing child pornography charges. He appeared in court for a bail hearing Wednesday, where his attorney argued he be released under strict conditions.

Bryce Johnson stood silently next to his attorney inside the Fourth District courtroom. The 33-year-old was arrested earlier this month for child sex abuse. Police say there are at least five victims.

The operator of a bounce house is now facing new charges that include 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Investigators say they found pornographic images of pre-pubescent children inside his home, some of whom were involved in sexual acts.

His attorney, Susanne Gustin, pleaded with the judge to release him as his case goes through the process. Gustin reassured the judge her client would not contact any of the victims.

But prosecutors say this case is extremely disturbing on multiple levels. McKay King told the judge that the youth sports coach, ice skating teacher and foster parent is a threat to the community and should remain in custody.

“Mr. Johnson has crafted his entire life to place him in contact with children on a regular basis," King said.

In the end, Judge Jennifer A. Brown set bail for $150,000, cash only.

“We will aggressively fight the charges,” Gustin said.

Karen Martinez is watching this case closely. She says Johnson fostered her 15-year-old brother and was in the process of adopting him.

“My brother has had a rough life and Bryce was kind of that support for him, and that one person that kinda stuck around: until this.”

Mr. Johnson is due back in court August 2 for a status conference.

Waco man convicted in child sexual abuse case
By TOMMY WITHERSPOON

A former warehouse worker was convicted Wednesday of fondling a 12-year-old girl four years ago.

Jurors in Waco’s 54th State District Court deliberated about two hours before finding Justin Russell Murdoch guilty of two counts of indecency with a child by contact.

Murdoch, 31, faces from two to 20 years in prison on each count.

Prosecutors Hilary LaBorde and Christi Hunting Horse presented punishment evidence Wednesday afternoon that showed Murdoch has a prior state-jail felony conviction for theft and a misdemeanor conviction for criminal mischief for destroying a visitation monitor at the county jail. He also has three misdemeanor assault convictions, two for driving with an invalid license, and one each for theft, marijuana possession and failure to ID while a fugitive.

In defense punishment testimony, Murdoch’s wife, father and sister testified that he is a good person who is deserving of leniency.

The girl, who is now 16, testified Tuesday that she spent three or four nights in October 2013 with her best friend at the North Waco home that Murdoch was sharing with a woman and her son and daughter. Murdoch has since married the woman despite the allegations that he molested her daughter’s best friend.

The girl testified that her friend had gone to bed, her friend’s little brother was asleep on the couch and she and Murdoch were lying on the floor watching a horror movie.

She said Murdoch “brushed” his hand against her breast and she thought at first that it could have been inadvertent. But Murdoch moved his hand back to her breast and left it there longer, she said, making her uncomfortable.

Next, his hand went under her clothes, and he also groped her buttocks, she said. He also took her hand and placed it on the crotch area of his jeans, the girl said.

‘I was paralyzed’

“I remember thinking this is the type of stuff you see in movies,” she said. “I was paralyzed, and then I realized why those girls don’t know what to do. They are frozen.”

In defense testimony Wednesday, Genevieve Murdoch, the defendant’s wife who married him after the allegations surfaced, testified that she at first told Murdoch to leave her home, until she investigated the allegations and determined she didn’t believe them.

“In my heart, I felt it wasn’t true, but as a mom, I had to protect my kids,” she said.

She said she didn’t believe the allegations because her son was in the room with them the whole time.

“He wasn’t asleep. He was in and out,” she said. “He likes to pull all-nighters. That’s what he does.”

The girl testified Tuesday that after Murdoch groped her, he pulled the blanket over their heads and tried to kiss her. She was crying, and he asked her what was wrong.

She said he got up and looked worried. He left the room but came back and asked her to go outside with him. She said Murdoch apologized to her and said he thought she liked him. He made her promise not to tell anyone, which she did, and then he asked if he could hug her. She said they hugged.

“He asked her what is wrong. He thought she liked him,” Hunting Horse said in jury summations. “Did he think he was on a date? That’s the most bizarre statement. But it goes along with his bizarre behavior. It’s not a date. She’s a 12-year-old girl.”

Defense attorney Jonathan Sibley told jurors that it is possible the girl dreamed of the sexual abuse or got it confused with the abuse she reportedly suffered from another man who previously was in her life.

“What would you do if you were accused of something like this?” Sibley said. “How do you defend yourself? You have this man’s life in your hands.”

Attorneys will give closing summations Thursday morning before the jury deliberates punishment.

Testimony in 'appalling' Nashville child rape case included sex abuse of animals
by WZTV Staff

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Testimony about the sexual abuse of children and animals was brought up during a Nashville rape case which prosecutors describe as one of the most "disturbing and appalling cases they had seen."

It took a Davidson County jury less than an hour to convict Jeremy Ledbetter, 29, of two counts of rape of a child, two counts of aggravated sexual battery of a victim under 13 years old, two counts of induce sexual activity by a minor and display of sexual acts to a minor under 13 years old.

The young victim testified that the rape and abuse occurred from the time he was 10 to 12 years old.

“All victims of child sexual abuse who testify in front of their abusers are brave to do so. The young victim in this case was particularly courageous for standing up and testifying about the type of humiliating abuse he suffered at the hands of Jeremy Ledbetter,” Assistant District Attorney Chad Butler said.

Ledbetter faces up to 134 years in prison. He will be sentenced on Aug. 18.

Brain Surgeon Accused of Child Sex Abuse Allegedly Wanted to Create ‘Sexual Families’ with Young Children: Docs
BY JEFF TRUESDELL, People

A brain surgeon accused in a child sex abuse case allegedly wanted to create “sexual families” by having relations with a mother and daughter, and possibly impregnate the daughter so that their child might also be raised “sexually in the ‘taboo’ family lifestyle,” according to a court document obtained by PEOPLE.

Dr. James Kohut, 57, pleaded not guilty Monday in Santa Cruz, California, to 11 child sex abuse counts that carry a possible combined penalty of 165 years to life in prison, his attorney, Jay Rorty, tells PEOPLE.

Rorty successfully challenged the prosecutor’s right to deny Kohut bail, but for now Kohut remains in the Santa Cruz County Jail.

Prosecutors sought to keep Kohut behind bars by alleging in a 14-page court filing that, “for nearly 20 years,” the traveling neurosurgeon with a current permanent address in Arkansas has displayed “a sexual compulsion, and has solicited victims for decades.”

“Like the crimes charged here,” the document alleges, “defendant was soliciting mothers to engage in sexual acts with children.”

Among the examples cited, the prosecution referred to a Vermont woman who said she had a relationship with Kohut from 1997 to 2000. “During that relationship, he told her that he wanted to get her pregnant so she could have a child and they could be sexual with that child,” the document alleges.

The allegations continue: “He told her that he was most interested in children between the ages of 6 to 8. He admitted that he had been in a relationship with a woman in Florida who had a 13-year-old and a 4-year-old child. He admitted that he had sex in front of those children, and fondled the 13-year-old. He would explain that he wanted a ‘sexual family.’ He would ask her to recruit friends for him, and he wanted her to call him ‘daddy.'”

In another example, a woman from Australia alleged Kohut told her in 2003 “that he was searching for a woman who he can impregnate, and will then ‘raise their children sexually.’ He then asked [the woman] if she would let him impregnate and raise their child sexually.”

“Defendant told her that if he had a daughter, he would want to impregnate her at the age of 10 and raise that child sexually as well. He also admitted to having sexual encounters with other children in the past.”

“Finally, he asked her to find him children. He wanted her to volunteer as a homeless shelter or do babysitting jobs and find children that she would molest and he would then listen to them over the phone,” the document alleges.

The accusations are spread across multiple states and have been investigated by multiple agencies that include the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office, Seaside Police, Australian Federal Police and the FBI, the document states.

California authorities charged Kohut and two nurses following an investigation that began May 9 when police in Watsonville, California, received information and a video “that showed several adults engaging in lewd acts with children as young as 3 years of age,” police alleged in a statement at the time of the arrests.

In addition to Kohut, police identified Rashel Brandon, 42, of Watsonville, and Emily Stephens, 29, of Tucson, Arizona. Both women were charged with lewd and lascivious acts with force with a child under 14; sending harmful matter with intent to seduce a minor; specific sex acts of a child under 10 and sexual acts with force with a child under 14.

Kohut allegedly had affairs with both women, and according to an arrest warrant served on Stephens’ in Arizona by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, children allegedly were abused during one of those sexual encounters, repots KSBW.

It was not immediately clear if Brandon and Stephens have entered pleas or retained attorneys.

Court documents state that seven children connected to the case have been placed in protective custody.

Young Oklahoma man arrested for Child Rape

20-year-old Chance Dale Biffle has been arrested and is currently in Stephens County Jail awaiting formal arraignment after Stephens County Deputies were called in to assist Velma Police in a Child Sexual Abuse case.

June 20, Stephens County Sheriff’s Department was notified by the Velma Police Department that they were investigating, and needed assistance with, the investigation of the rape of a minor less than 16-years-old. According to Sheriff Wayne McKinney, the investigation was centered around the alleged rape and molestation of a minor child.

“The allegations are on him that he inappropriately sexually molested — and actually raped an individual on two different occasions,” McKinney said.

According to the Affidavit, a deputy met with the juvenile on the morning of June 20. The juvenile told the deputy about a few separate incidents that had occurred while the minor was with Biffle. The first  allegedly occurred approximately two months ago at a relative of Biffle’s residence in Stephens County during a sleep-over. The juvenile alleges that Biffle persistently inappropriately touched them over the course of the night, and that they continuously moved away from Biffle. Later that night, while the juvenile was asleep, Biffle again assaulted the juvenile. The juvenile woke and was eventually able to stop Biffle from continuing, but not before rape had occurred.

The second incident occurred approximately two months later at a different residence, this one also a relative of Biffle, according to the report. When the juvenile was left alone with him outside, Biffle allegedly again began touching the minor inappropriately. The minor then left and went inside the residence.

The minor stated that at one point Biffle had asked them if they would join him at another relative’s house. The minor told Biffle that they would not go if it was only going to be Biffle and themselves present, because the incidents only occurred when they were alone together. Biffle tried to talk the minor into letting him inappropriately touch the minor again, but the minor told Biffle they “did not ask or want any sexual favors from Chance Biffle,” according to the report.

Later that day, another deputy with Stephens County Sheriff’s Department made contact with Biffle at a business in Duncan. According to the report, Biffle was read his Miranda Rights, and then requested an attorney. Biffle allegedly told the deputy that he knew why they were arresting him.

During the time Biffle was being transferred to Stephens County Jail, he allegedly told the deputy that “he had planned to turn himself in.”

Biffle is currently awaiting his arraignment in Stephens County Jail.

A Smith County man has been indicted on two charges of indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Ruben Candelario, 36, of Tyler was arrested on May 15.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the Smith County Sheriff's Office received a report in March, in reference to two children being sexually abused.

Candelario is accused of making two children, under the age of 18, engage in sexual contact by forcing them to touch his genitals. One of the children reported it happening multiple times and only at night, the affidavit states.

The affidavit references a separate report stating that Candelario allegedly stared through a window at a female victim, under the age of 18, while she was getting dressed after getting out of the shower.

Candelario has also been placed on an immigration hold in Smith County.  He was indicted on both charges on June 15 and is currently in the Smith County Jail on a $200,000 bond.

Tulsa Woman Faces 6 Federal Charges In
Child Sexual Abuse Case

TULSA, Oklahoma - A Tulsa woman has been charged with six counts of child sexual abuse for sexually abusing her 1-year-old daughter, recording the abuse and then sending the videos to her boyfriend in Florida.

Jerrica Lackey, 29, is charged with child sexual abuse of a child under 12.

According to the federal criminal complaint filed June 20, 2017, Lackey's offenses include sexual exploitation of a child, distribution and/or receipt of a visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct and possession of child pornography.

The document shows the offenses took place between March 2017 and May 16, 2017.

According to the FBI Special Agent's report in the criminal complaint, Lackey recorded herself abusing the baby and she also took nude photos of the baby.

The agent stated that Lackey then sent the videos and photos to her boyfriend in Florida, who Lackey said requested the photos and videos. She said her boyfriend would get mad and "punish" her if she forgot to send the images and videos, the document shows.

According to the complaint, Lackey called 911 on May 16, 2017, to notify them that she'd molested her child. Lackey called 911 after the baby's father showed up to her home and borrowed her cell phone to make a call, but noticed messages from Lackey's boyfriend.

The father checked the messages and saw that the man referred to a mobile app called 'Kik,' and when the father opened the app he saw pictures and videos of Lackey and their daughter, according to the document.

The father then took the baby and told Lackey he was reporting her to the police and turning in her phone.

It was then that Lackey called 911.

She was taken into custody on May 22.

Lackey will appear in Tulsa County court on June 30th.

Stupid woman! You destroyed your life for a man who was a world class creep! What were you thinking?
